00:00MAD-TV won't be seen tonight, but will return next week at its regular time.
00:05Now stay tuned for a Fox Sports special presentation.
00:15Miami, Florida.
00:17Miles of Sun Street beaches mark this year-round tropical playground.
00:21A culturally diverse community, modern-day Miami is home to the fast-paced, beautiful set.
00:29But Miami possesses some boxing history all its own.
00:33Not too long ago, this vacation hotspot was home to the quintessential prizefighter's haven,
00:38the legendary Fifth Street Gym.
00:41That gym is no longer standing, but many of boxing's greatest graced the streets of Miami,
00:47along with one other man, his name, Cassius Clay.
00:52Later becoming Muhammad Ali, Miami was his personal training ground.
00:57As for action inside the ring, Miami was also the site of what many consider one of the greatest bouts
01:03ever,
01:03the classic championship battle between Alexis Arguello and Aaron Pryor.
01:09Miami is now home to a different stock of fighters, but the tradition continues.
01:14As tonight, Fox Sports is proud to bring you another edition in our Saturday Night Fight Series,
01:20live from Miami, Florida.
01:40Miami, Florida, located at the southeastern tip of the U.S.
01:44Miami's numerous waterways and lush tropical landscapes combine to form one of the more picturesque cities in the world.
01:51And with warm tropical breezes, Miami's nightlife is a year-round festival.
01:56Add to that a strong Latin influence, and Miami exudes a unique charm, rich in culture, and a glow with
02:02a passion for life.
02:04And with an active and growing fan base, the city of Miami is proud to claim as its own
02:10the NBA's Miami Heat, and competing in the NHL, the Florida Panthers.
02:18In a setting more closely associated with surfing or even a tanning competition,
02:23the Heat and the Panthers entertain the home crowd in this facility, the Miami Arena.
02:28But tonight, it's not the frozen pond or hardwood occupying the arena.
02:33It's Bash Boulevard, as Miller Lite is proud to present the third installment of Fox Sports' Saturday Night Fights,
02:40live from Miami, Florida.
02:42And hello, everyone, and welcome to the Miami Arena.
02:45I'm James Brown.
02:46Well, we've got what appears to be a competitive card scheduled for you this evening,
02:50featuring a WBA Cruiserweight title fight,
02:53as Nate Miller defends his belt for the second time tonight, facing challenger Brian LaSpada.
02:58And in our main event, the former WBC Heavyweight Champion, Oliver McCall,
03:03continues on the road back to what he hopes will result in a championship opportunity.
03:09Tonight, he'll face a very confident youngster by the name of James Stanton.
03:13Right now, Fox's Eric Clemens is standing by with the former champion.
03:16Eric?
03:17All right, JB, thank you very much.
03:18And the former champ looks about ready to go right now.
03:21Oliver, a week ago tonight, you saw the belt you used to hold.
03:24Change hands, Frank Bruno looking too good against Mike Tyson and losing that belt.
03:29And you know that could have been, or maybe even you feel it should have been you.
03:32How have you coped with that disappointment enough tonight?
03:34Well, I cope with it very well.
03:36You'll see the night.
03:37I'm ready to go.
03:40You'll see.
03:41All right.
03:41Now, how about what you have to do now?
03:43You're going to have to wait a little while to get another shot at the title belt.
03:45You want the shot at Tyson.
03:47How are you coping with that?
03:48Well, like I tell them, I'm willing to fight Tyson for nothing.
03:53All right.
03:54I told you, he was ready to go.
03:56Let's go back upstairs to James Brown.
03:58JB?
03:58All right, Eric, and we can only assume that he is ready to go because Oliver McCall is
04:02usually quite loquacious.
04:04He's focused for tonight's match.
04:05All right.
04:06As mentioned earlier, our first fight will showcase the WBA Cruiserweight Champion, Nate
04:10Mr. Miller.
04:12With 23 KOs and his 27 victories, Miller unquestionably has knockout power.
04:19Introducing the WBA Cruiserweight Champion of the World, Nate, Mr. Miller.
04:38Oh, a nice right hand inside.
04:40Oh, he's really turning the right hand that time.
04:49Blows up the right hand and big right hand.
04:52Crashes for the jaw.
04:57And still champion, Nate, Mr. Miller.
05:07And as you take a look at Nate Miller, the book on him, not flashy, but he is tough and
05:12talented.
05:12Good boxing skills, but is most effective fighting toe-to-toe and loves to work the body.
05:18And the guys who will have the ringside view of the body works will be calling the action
05:23tonight.
05:23Let's join now Barry Tompkins and the irrepressible Bobby Chez.
05:27All right, thanks very much, JB.
05:29Well, the Cruiserweight Division, an interesting division, historically has been just something
05:32of a way stop for fighters on their way up from the 175-pound limit of the light heavyweight
05:37division and the richer coffers of the heavyweight division.
05:40But right now, when you look at the champions in the Cruiserweight Division, they are guys
05:44who seem pretty content.
05:46Content to fight as champions in a lesserweight division, if you will.
05:50The IBF champion, Alfred Cole.
05:52The man we're going to be watching in just a moment.
05:54The WBA title holder, Nate Miller, and the WBC title holder, Anaclet Wamba.
05:59Not too many people here in the States know much about him.
06:01He's been fighting predominantly in Europe, but he has held his title four and a half years.
06:05That is longer than any other title holder at any weight division.
06:10Bobby, you've gone through this same route.
06:12Started as a light heavyweight champion.
06:13You were the cruiserweight champion.
06:15Now you're going for the heavyweight title.
06:17Let's talk a little bit about Nate Miller.
06:18He is a guy who seems to be content right where he is.
06:21Well, you know, he's content where he is.
06:22He's a little big man.
06:24Cruiserweight division is kind of a junior heavyweight division.
06:26They're all subdivisions.
06:27The old straightweights of the old days are gone.
06:29There are subdivisions everywhere.
06:31This is this little big man, the small heavyweights.
06:33Today, they grow him too big, Barry.
06:35They've got to have a breaker.
06:36If there's a rap on Nate Miller, it's that he gets a little bit lazy, especially toward
06:40the middle rounds, and he doesn't do very well with boxers.
06:42And what he's got tonight is a boxer.
06:44He's got a pure boxer.
06:45Brian Lespot is going to move, move, move.
06:47Use the jab and try and lull Nate Miller to sleep.
06:49And that's what happens to him sometimes.
06:51He gets a little bit of sleep, and he loses the decision.
06:53One of the raps on Nate Miller, he's an underachiever.
06:56He says, no, I'm a businessman.
06:57He said, I've seen too many Philadelphia fighters get beat up in the gym.
07:00I'm not going to do that.
07:01Well, you know what?
07:02You've got to praise that for his work ethic, not overworking in the gym.
07:05But you've got to work, fight time, and this is fight time.
07:08He may be an underachiever here, and that he can't stand.
07:10And he looks to be all business, as you can see.
07:12So, Miller versus La Spada, this for the WBA Cruiserweight Championship.
07:18It's all coming up on the other side of this.
07:35Fox Saturday Night Fights are brought to you by Miller Lite.
07:39When you've got the great taste of an ice-cold Miller Lite, life is good.
07:52City of Miami, as we welcome the Blockbuster Video Blimp and its crew to tonight's telecast.
07:57Piloting the Blockbuster Blimp tonight, Captain Terry Dillard from just across the state in Orlando, Florida.
08:09So, we come to our first fight of the evening.
08:11There's the battle for the WBA Cruiserweight Championship.
08:13Nate Miller and Brian La Spada.
08:16Nate Miller, of course, is the title holder.
08:19Miller, La Spada, looking to take a big step up and do what he can about beating a guy who
08:25he feels is eminently beatable.
08:27Let's take a look at the tale of the tape.
08:29Miller at 32 years old, and La Spada, of course, nine years younger than Miller.
08:34Miller listed at 6'2", and I'll tell you what, if he's 6'2", then I can dunk a basketball.
08:38La Spada at 6'3", and I believe that he is 6'3".
08:41Miller does have a little bit of a reach advantage and a slight weight advantage,
08:44and that is the story of the tale of the tape in this fight.
08:48Let's take a look at the WBA rules.
08:50There will not be a standing eight count.
08:52The three knockdown rule is in effect.
08:54Only the referee can stop the fight, and a fighter could not be saved with a bell in any round,
08:58with the exception of the last round.
09:01And with that, let's get up to the center of the ring now
09:03and meet the participants with the ring announcer, Jimmy Lennon, Jr.
09:07Jimmy?
09:09Ladies and gentlemen, a very good evening to you,
09:11and we welcome you to the Miami Arena here in beautiful Miami, Florida,
09:16as we have a big night of action coming your way,
09:19and it's all brought to you by Dawn King Productions and Miller Lite.

09:36along with the Florida State Athletic Commission.
09:38The chairman is Alvin Goodman, Executive Director Don Hazleton.
09:42Introducing to you the judges for this bout,
09:45Jorge Constantino, Jay Cassis, and Ernesto Magana.
09:50Introducing our referee in charge of this bout,
09:54we have Bill O'Connors.
09:58All right, fans, here we go with the WBA Cruiserweight Championship of the World,
10:03scheduled for 12 rounds of boxing.
10:06Introducing to you first the challenger on my left,
10:10fighting out of the blue corner.
10:11He is wearing light blue trunks,
10:14fighting out of Las Vegas, Nevada, by way of Buffalo, New York.
10:18He weighed in at 187 pounds,
10:22with a record of 26 wins,
10:24two losses, and one draw.
10:26He has 12 wins,
10:28coming by way of Knockout.
10:30Tonight, making his first attempt at a world title,
10:33introducing the WBA number five ranked Cruiserweight contender,
10:38here is Brian Lightning Laspada.
10:46And his opponent across the ring on my right,
10:50he's finding out of the red corner,
10:52and is the defending world champion.
10:54He is wearing dark blue trunks with gold trim,
10:58and hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
11:02He weighed in at 188 and one quarter pounds,
11:05with a record of 27 wins and four losses.
11:09He has 23 wins,
11:11coming by way of Knockout.
11:13Tonight, he is making the second defensiveest title.
11:16Here is the defending WBA Cruiserweight Champion of the World,
11:21Nate,
11:22Mr. Miller.
11:29Once again,
11:30a referee in charge,
11:31now to give instructions,
11:32Bill O'Connor.
11:35Do your time, baby.
11:36Do your time, baby.
11:50All right, we both went on.
11:51We all went on with instruction in the dressing room now,
11:54which is going to pay my commands at all times in here.
11:56Both you guys have got your trunks real high here, okay?
11:59So anything on the borderline,
12:01I'll make the decisions.
12:02I don't want to hear anything from the corners.
12:04Is that understood?
12:06Okay, does anybody have any questions over here?
12:08Any questions over here?
12:10All right, keep it clean.
12:12Touch gloves.
12:12Good luck to both of you.
12:16So we're set to go on our first fight of the evening,
12:18and Brian Laspada feels that the first few rounds
12:22are going to be very important.
12:22Nate Miller says he's a runner,
12:24and if he runs,
12:26I'm going to get mad.
12:27Well, I'll tell you what,
12:28Brian Laspada is a runner.
12:29That's what he does.
12:30He tries to get his opponents frustrated,
12:32confused,
12:33uses his jab,
12:33and you can already see his feet
12:34are almost in a running position.
12:35Of course, Laspada doesn't look at it that way.
12:37He says,
12:37jab, move,
12:38get mangles.
12:40Don't be there to be hit.
12:41Muhammad Ali won his real title,
12:42though.
12:42He hit, not get hit.
12:43Jab, move, stick, and move.
12:44Only this is not Ali caliber fighting.
12:47It just isn't.
12:49And it'll be Miller's job, of course,
12:51to cut the rig.
12:52Good body puncher.
12:54Very important for Laspada,
12:55according to his people,
12:56not to get into a brawl with Miller.
12:59They don't argue that Miller's the stronger of the two.
13:03So, even though he's a boxer,
13:04he's a mover,
13:05he's not a big puncher,
13:06he has to make his punches sting,
13:08he has to make them count.
13:09They have to be accurate
13:10if he's going to get his pound of pleasure.
13:11Ornato, walk right through him.
13:12He's not a big puncher,
13:13but he's not a bad finisher.
13:15The way he's won,
13:15when he's won by knockouts,
13:17he's just one kick off,
13:18a quick right hand from Miller,
13:20and down goes Laspada,
13:21exactly the kind of start
13:23that he absolutely did not want.
13:25Brian Laspada said
13:26he was going to be maybe
13:27a little too nervous,
13:28a little too jumpy,
13:29a little too jittery.
13:29You can never tell how the pressure will affect
13:31a young guy stepping up.
13:33Right now, he's not stepping up well.
13:35Looked like a flash knockdown,
13:36and it did not appear
13:37that he was really hurt.
13:41Although, I have to say,
13:42his legs did not look real sturdy
13:43right at the moment.
13:44They didn't look real sturdy
13:45when they came in.
13:46They were in a retreat mode
13:48from the start,
13:48and this is not a fight that,
13:50you know,
13:51it's not a fight that's going to be
13:52real colorful and real pretty.
13:53It's going to be ugly.
13:55And he just cannot afford
13:58to get into a brawl
13:59with Nate Miller.
14:00Now what he has to do
14:01is hold on when Nate gets close,
14:02he'll get on his bicycle
14:03when Nate's far away.
14:04Keep him at range,
14:05use the jab, move,
14:06get himself okay.
14:08I don't know if his head's clear,
14:09I'm not sure what kind of punch
14:10he takes,
14:10but that wasn't a real big right hand.
14:24One thing that he did tell us yesterday
14:26when he spoke to him
14:26was that he had to get
14:27Nate Miller's respect early,
14:28and he certainly has not done that.
14:30No, you see,
14:31when he jabs,
14:32it's not a jab that's meant
14:34to get anybody's attention.
14:35It's just a jab that's meant
14:36to keep you off,
14:37and it's not going to work.
14:39That's not going to get anybody's respect
14:40or even get their attention.
14:53Nice body shot,
14:54and a good right hand again,
14:55backs LaSpada up,
14:57although LaSpada
14:57will back up willingly.
14:59You know what,
15:00Nate should use his jab too,
15:01he doesn't need to just
15:02counterpunch with the big shots.
15:03He's clearly a little stronger.
15:04Step in behind his jab,
15:05dig a couple body shots,
15:06and come up,
15:07see what happens.
15:09LaSpada's legs buckled again
15:10from not such a great right hand.
15:12That's a slip.
15:15I'll tell you,
15:16LaSpada still looks
15:17a little rubber-like to me.
15:20There was a reasonable attempt
15:21at a right hand,
15:22but still,
15:22nothing clean from LaSpada.
15:26Well, it appears
15:27he is going to get
15:28through the first round,
15:31and we're going to take
15:32you into the corner,
15:33Brian LaSpada.
15:35See what kind of sage advice
15:38he's got from Roger Mayweather,
15:39his trainer.
15:40Stay close, Brian.
15:41Put some water on his head.
15:43Give me a towel.
15:45Give me a towel.
15:47Look how far I'm going to floor.
15:51What a what?
15:51What a bucket.
15:53Spit.
15:55We'll take a look
15:55at that knockdown.
15:56Again, this is a nice,
15:57clean right hand,
15:58but it's not a real big right hand.
16:00You know,
16:01his feet weren't planted,
16:02it wasn't a big powerhouse shot.
16:03You look at it again,
16:05it's not simply a grazing shot,
16:07but not a big shot.
16:09LaSpada's leaning backwards
16:10and just kind of
16:10goes with the punch
16:11to the floor.
16:12His eyes don't look dazed,
16:13they're glazed over.
16:14Here you'll see it
16:15one more time,
16:15slow motion.
16:16He just steps in with it.
16:18Nice, clean right hand,
16:19but not a big, big shot.
16:20That's a punch
16:21that shouldn't put
16:21a man fighting
16:22for the light heavyweight
16:23world title,
16:24excuse me,
16:24cruiserweight world title,
16:25down.
16:26Nate Miller had that look
16:27of disbelief on his face,
16:29actually,
16:29that LaSpada went down
16:30from that punch.
16:32We start the second round
16:33and LaSpada's gonna have
16:34to get back
16:34to a game plan here.
16:36Miller's done a good job
16:36of cutting a ring on him.
16:42I think Nate's even
16:43giving him a little
16:43too much respect there,
16:45watching his punches,
16:46looking to block him.
16:47This is the kind of guy
16:48that,
16:48at least with my style,
16:50I would just walk right
16:50to him and beat on
16:51and make it a war of attrition,
16:53in which case
16:53LaSpada can't win.
16:55And Miller has done that.
16:56His last fight
16:56against Ronaldo Jimenez,
16:57he did walk right through him
16:59and he beat him up
17:00to the body.
17:05You know,
17:05the Spada's boasted
17:06about sparring with guys
17:07like Tommy Morrison
17:08and this one
17:09and that one,
17:09but you know what?
17:10With a head here
17:11and 18-ounce gloves,
17:12it's a whole different
17:13ballgame.
17:15Inexplicably different
17:16if you haven't done it.
17:17And he was talking
17:18about the fact that
17:19none of those people
17:20hit him with a jab.
17:21That might be said
17:22at Miller too,
17:22but he hit him
17:23with a right hand,
17:23because he did.
17:24Yes, he did.
17:33Oh, breaking it.
17:39You can see there
17:39a nice offensive attempt
17:41by LaSpada.
17:42But again,
17:42it's a slapping punch.
17:43It's not one
17:44that's going to hurt
17:44and it's just a...
17:46to me,
17:47it seems to be
17:47a futile effort
17:48to keep Nate Miller off him.
17:49He's not serious.
17:50He's not sitting
17:50on his punches.
17:51He went to jail.
17:52It's just kind of a slap.
17:53Good left hook
17:54by Miller
17:54and that hurt LaSpada.
18:03And it does not appear
18:04that it's going to take
18:05a whole lot
18:05to get LaSpada out of there.
18:07You know,
18:08we don't know
18:08how durable he is.
18:09He's been down,
18:10which means he's got
18:10the greatest of chins,
18:11but maybe he gets up
18:12and runs back.
18:13It's a nice right hand there.
18:15The speed can generate
18:16a little bit of power
18:17for him
18:17because that's all
18:17the speed of a bull
18:18that kills you.
18:19Not in size,
18:20but here,
18:21he's just walking
18:21the big stuff.
18:22There, terrific right up.
18:23Good right hand.
18:24Buckled him again.
18:38Miller not wasting much effort,
18:40but that's his style.
18:42Now, he's economical
18:43with his punches.
18:44He'll sit on you.
18:45He'll wait.
18:45He'll take his time.
18:47Here, he's watching.
18:47He's watching.
18:48He's looking for the counters
18:49because he's been effective
18:50with them so far.
18:51Why stop?
18:52What we said earlier,
18:53that's a nice counter
18:54right hand by Miller,
18:55that he's had trouble
18:56with boxers historically.
18:58Al Cole beat him twice.
18:59Awkward kind of boxer,
19:01not unlike La Spada.
19:04Al Cole's a much better
19:05talent than La Spada.
19:06Oh, without question.
19:08And Al's deceiving.
19:09He doesn't just box.
19:10Al fights.
19:11He's more of a fighter
19:11for a 6'4",
19:12and his tremendous reach
19:14frame that he has
19:15is much more of a fighter
19:16than just a boxer.
19:20That's what La Spada
19:21needs to do with the jab.
19:22Make it sting.
19:23Make it work.
19:23Throw two or three.
19:27Coming to the end
19:27of the second round.
19:28Another good round
19:29for Miller.
19:33Round number three,
19:34and Miller has had La Spada
19:35down in the first round
19:36and in trouble
19:37a couple of times
19:37in the second round.
19:38He's not gone after him
19:40when he's been in trouble.
19:45You can see there
19:46in his eyes
19:46you can see The Spada's
19:47intent to just hold
19:48and get out of harm's way.
19:50Not to fight,
19:51not even to box,
19:52just to get out of harm's way.
19:55The Spada's people
19:56told us yesterday
19:57that they've got to
19:58make Miller gamble
19:59and if he does
20:00then they felt
20:01that their man had a chance.
20:02Miller has not had to gamble
20:03in this fight at all.
20:04He's done pretty much
20:05what he's wanted.
20:06You know, but even here
20:07if he gambles
20:08he's not being made to pay
20:09when he does leap in
20:10with a shot.
20:10He's not being made to pay.
20:12The man can gamble
20:13and get away with him.
20:13He'll do it all night long.
20:18A warning for a holding
20:20from the referee,
20:21Bill Connors.
20:25Oh, whoa!
20:26Good win!
20:29This is the kind of fight
20:30that gets frustrating
20:31for a man who's come to fight
20:32such as Nate Miller.
20:33The guy wants a run,
20:35wants a hold,
20:35wants a tie-up
20:35as soon as you get
20:36anywhere near punching range.
20:38Very frustrating.
20:41He's raising right hand
20:42and then a left hand
20:43and once again
20:45Lespata holds.
20:47The toughness
20:48underneath the left eye
20:49of Brian Lespata.
20:51All right,
20:52hold the brick in there.
20:53Let me brick in there.
20:53Right now,
20:54Brian Lespata's fighting
20:55a little bit of the same
20:56type of fight
20:56that Frank Bruno
20:57fought against Mike Tyson.
20:59I don't even really like
21:00that fight a lot,
21:00did you?
21:01Well, you know,
21:01my contention is
21:02that a fighter's got to get
21:04in harm's way
21:05to do any harm
21:06and boxing certainly
21:07that's part of the game.
21:08If he wants to have
21:08a point, Nate Miller
21:09has got to hit him.
21:10He has to offer up
21:10some offense.
21:11As his mouthpiece
21:12goes flying out,
21:13he can't just be
21:14a defensive fight
21:15or a hold-on
21:15and a survive fighter.
21:16If you go 10 rounds
21:17and do nothing
21:17and offer up nothing,
21:18he's not to have done anything.
21:20And now we'll get a timeout
21:22to put the mouthpiece
21:22back in.
21:24Let's go.
21:25Don't wash it off.
21:35All right, let's go.
21:42Strong jab from Nate Miller.
21:45Right toward the end
21:45of the second round
21:46with a spot of start
21:47to stick two or three
21:48good solid jabs
21:49and I don't know
21:49why he didn't come back to it.
21:54There's some offense.
21:55There's a jab,
21:56a counter-right hand
21:57to try to hook
21:58on top of him.
21:58That's what he needs to do
21:59but he can't wait
22:00until the end of the round
22:01for one combination
22:02and expect to win
22:03or do any damage.
22:10His ideal is to wear
22:11Nate Miller off
22:12but it's really did
22:15the opposite
22:15that's happened so far.
22:17But right now
22:18all he's going to do
22:18is bruise Nate Miller's hands
22:19with his head and his face
22:20and that's not wearing
22:21a man out.
22:33good left hand
22:34and once again
22:34Lesbata holds on.
22:36So Nate Miller
22:37just doing what Nate Miller
22:39does, that is being
22:40economical
22:40and winning all the rounds.
22:45Here you see Lesbata
22:46losing his mouth
22:47because it's stuck
22:48with a good jab
22:48and the mouthpiece
22:49just comes right out.
22:52round number four now.
22:53Noah has easily won
22:54the first three
22:55won the first
22:5610-8.
22:58Could not see that
22:58run any other way
22:59having Lesbata down.
23:00Lesbata has what appears
23:02to be an under
23:02and over mouthpiece
23:03which I hate.
23:04They're harder to hold in.
23:05You open your mouth
23:06to breathe
23:06which all athletes
23:07have to do
23:07especially in boxing
23:08when your nose
23:09is getting hit and clogged.
23:10That's difficult to do.
23:11His mouth is already
23:12hanging open
23:12just a good stiff jab
23:13knocked it out.
23:14Imagine a clean right hand
23:15left hook
23:16comes whistling in.
23:17That mouthpiece piece
23:18is going to wind up
23:18in third row.
23:22Miller completely
23:23dictating this fight
23:24so far.
23:25Now as he said earlier
23:26he has a tendency
23:27in the past
23:28to get a little bit lazy
23:29in the middle rounds
23:30which he is now
23:31approaching.
23:33Has shown no indication
23:34of that tonight
23:35at least to this point.
23:38The spotter's punches
23:39appear to have
23:40absolutely zero power
23:41and zero sting on them.
23:42I don't know why
23:43Nate just doesn't
23:43walk right to him
23:44and start a barroom fight
23:45because that's what
23:46you got to do
23:46with this kind of guy.
23:47He's going to run and hold
23:48tear him apart
23:49and make a street fight
23:50out of him.
23:53Well that's pretty much
23:54what he said
23:55we asked him
23:56what he would do
23:57if the spotter ran
23:58he said
23:58it would just make
23:59him madder
24:01and he'd be more
24:02kind
24:02and he'd just go
24:02after it.
24:06But as we said
24:07earlier
24:07Nate Miller
24:07is really all
24:08business
24:08and this is a
24:09profession to him
24:10he keeps a full time
24:11job
24:11he works for
24:12Philadelphia
24:12Housing Authority
24:15Nate Miller
24:15is one of those
24:16fighters that has
24:16a great poker face
24:17to whether you
24:18hit him hard
24:19or you hit him
24:19soft
24:19same face
24:20he's throwing
24:21and receiving
24:21same face
24:22when he's hurt
24:23same face
24:24I've seen him
24:25fight Al Cole
24:25a couple times
24:26with a lot of other
24:26fighters
24:27including Martin Norris
24:28he has a great
24:29poker face
24:30right now
24:31he's following
24:31the spade around
24:32instead of cutting
24:33the ring
24:33he's cutting
24:34the ring better
24:34earlier in the fight
24:45left hand
24:46by the spot
24:46he was cutting
24:46the gloves
24:47of Miller
24:48years ago
24:49when I was
24:49cruiserweight champion
24:50I was on the phone
24:51with one of those
24:51spotted people
24:52and they were
24:52talking
24:52we want to fight
24:53we want to fight
24:53with you
24:53I said
24:53you know what
24:54unfortunately
24:55he hasn't accomplished
24:56enough
24:56no one wants
24:57to pay to see it
24:57I don't want to
24:58fight you
24:58now I can see
24:59why
24:59I've never seen
25:00him fight
25:00the kind of fight
25:01that's annoying
25:03to take
25:03and it doesn't
25:04seem hard to win
25:05right now
25:05but it sure is
25:06boring
25:07when he moved
25:08to Las Vegas
25:09from Buffalo
25:10to visit his mom
25:11actually
25:12was hanging around
25:13the gym
25:13Roger Mayweather
25:14saw him
25:15and Roger
25:15looked at him
25:16and said
25:16this guy doesn't
25:16know how to
25:17throw punches
25:18and he literally
25:18had to teach him
25:19and that was
25:19after he'd already
25:20had four professional
25:21fights
25:21he was 2-1-1
25:23when he came
25:24to the gym
25:24and started working
25:25with Roger
25:25he's 22-1
25:26since then
25:27but needless to say
25:28the caliber of opponent
25:29is not what
25:29Nate Miller
25:30has fought
25:30correct
25:31and let's face it
25:32Roger Mayweather
25:33had a great amount
25:33of talent
25:34he can't give the talent
25:35he can only teach
25:46we start the fifth round
25:48Brian Lasfato
25:49the challenger
25:50the blue trucks
25:51Nate Miller
25:51and the purple trucks
25:52with a gold stripe
25:59fight's taking up
25:59fight's taking up
26:00the same posture
26:00it has
26:01for the first four rounds
26:05spot of running backwards
26:07Nate Miller
26:07coming forward
26:08really hasn't changed
26:09much
26:10I think Nate
26:10should pick up
26:11the pace a little
26:11make the spot
26:12and fight him back
26:13see what happens
26:14that's exactly
26:15what they were saying
26:15in Miller's corner
26:16between rounds
26:16too
26:17don't just throw
26:18one punch
26:18get in there
26:19and throw combinations
26:21see the type of thing here
26:22the spotter
26:23nice right hand
26:23by the spotter
26:24not a big right hand
26:25but he can't punch
26:26so for him
26:27a good right hand
26:28the thing about this is
26:30Nate Miller
26:30can do what he wants
26:31when he wants
26:32he wants a rest
26:33Brian the spotter
26:34is not going to pressure
26:34him or push him
26:35so go and take your shots
26:37take your big punches
26:38throw your big flurries
26:39and rest when you want to
26:47Nate Miller
26:48very likable guy
26:49and as you said
26:49just kind of all business
26:50very soft spoken
26:54not really out of the mold
26:55of a lot of Philadelphia fighters
26:56in fact we mentioned it earlier
26:58but he said
26:59I've just seen too many
27:00Philadelphia fighters
27:01burn themselves out
27:02in the gym
27:02he said I'm just not going to do that
27:05you know there is such thing
27:06as overwork
27:07and overwork will kill you
27:08worse than underwork
27:09and he's right
27:09a lot of Philly fighters
27:10lost years off their career
27:11and I'll tell you what
27:12some of them look like
27:13they might have lost
27:14years off their life
27:14how hard they worked
27:15in Philly
27:21let that arm loose
27:22let's go
27:23wasn't any kind of a fighter
27:24really wasn't a great athlete
27:25by his own admission
27:28walked by the gym
27:28when he was 15 years old
27:30went in
27:30and basically
27:31he's never come out
27:33see with a fight of his nature
27:35what Nate Miller has to do
27:37is just go to a
27:38work hard
27:40give him three minutes
27:41of one round
27:41see if he can't do it
27:42it takes
27:42set the foundation
27:43to get
27:43Riles by earlier
27:45because his body
27:45is not going to go up
27:46especially in the cruiserweight division
27:48as we were talking before
27:48he's not going to go up
27:49with a fight
27:50or a performance like this
27:51even though he's clearly winning
27:52every round
27:52and Laspato is starting to get beat up
27:54too
27:54he's got a welt under his right eye
27:56a little bit of swelling
27:57under his left eye
27:58which has been there since early
27:59in the fight
28:00now there's blood
28:01on the neck
28:02I'm not quite sure
28:03where it's coming from
28:03we'll try to see here
28:04Nate Miller's left eye
28:05has a cut over it
28:06either that quick right hand
28:07or maybe head scratched
28:08but Nate Miller's left eye
28:10is bleeding
28:11I'm not sure what punch
28:13that is exactly where it's from
28:16that doesn't appear to be a serious cut
28:18but Nate Miller had his eye cut
28:20in the first out cold fight
28:22and it bothered him
28:23psychologically
28:24if not physically
28:26it seems to have spurred out
28:27on the spot
28:27oh
28:28nice right hand
28:29he's got Nate Miller's attention
28:31with that right hand
28:34so we'll see
28:35if the cut over Miller's eye
28:37doesn't light a fire
28:37under the challenger
28:38Brian Laspato
28:39we're coming back
28:42some serious work
28:43in the corner of Nate Miller
28:44being done between rounds
28:46on the cut
28:46over the left eye
28:47it was caused
28:48incidentally
28:49the referee
28:50York Connor
28:51said by an accidental headbutter
28:53I didn't see the headbutter
28:54I saw a couple
28:55of decent right hands
28:56never saw the headbutter
28:57but the referee's word
28:58is final
28:59good left hand
29:00forced Laspato
29:01into the ropes
29:03that was more bad footing
29:04than it was
29:04the force of the punch
29:10let's see if it cuts
29:11Spurs Miller
29:12there
29:13do a little bit
29:14more offensively
29:16with the ending around
29:17to splurge Laspato
29:18a little bit
29:18started throwing
29:19three or four right hands
29:19which is more deep
29:20long than the whole
29:20previous three or four rounds
29:25the spotter
29:25trying to go downstairs
29:26now
29:37white hook
29:38and a left hand
29:39and outpiece
29:39goes flying again
29:40I'll tell you what
29:41that mouthpiece
29:42did a takeoff
29:43it is somewhere
29:44outside this ring
29:48and now we've got a timeout
29:49once again
29:50while the mouthpiece
29:53will be recovered
29:54and washed
29:54and put back in the mouth
29:55of Brian Laspato
29:57that really is
29:59a break
30:01of some fashion
30:02for Brian Laspato
30:04it gives him a chance
30:04to catch his breath
30:06he's been cuffed
30:06around pretty good
30:07by Nate Miller
30:09I'll tell you what
30:09I've seen mouthpieces
30:10come out as often
30:11as 10 times
30:11in the flight
30:12and eventually
30:13the qualification
30:13does occur
30:14and I have too
30:22oh you're tied up
30:23break clean
30:23let's go
30:24step out of there
30:27I believe if Nate Miller
30:28just used that jab
30:29stuffed the jab
30:30use a good strong
30:31power jab
30:31up the middle
30:32got the spot out
30:33of rhythm
30:33he's not worried
30:34about jab
30:34he's just worried
30:34about the big counters
30:35he gets to work
30:36off that
30:37with his right hand
30:37his hook
30:38he goes to the body
30:38I think he can do
30:39a lot more
30:40and compromise the spot
30:42even more
30:42than he already has
30:44cut is not appreciably
30:45worse
30:46in this round
30:47suffered near the end
30:49of the last round
30:49over the left eye
30:51of Nate Miller
30:53sometimes it'll take
30:54a couple of rounds
30:55to stop the bleeding
30:56they'll need
30:56two rounds of work
30:58on it
30:58it's really not
30:59too bad right now
31:01good left hand
31:01a right hand
31:02behind it
31:07you see the spot
31:08of trying
31:09with a couple
31:09right hand
31:09this is not real
31:10stark charge
31:10this is another
31:11he's trying
31:11with
31:11his feet on set
31:13he's leaning
31:13he's actually
31:15thinking backwards
31:16while his
31:16let his punches
31:16come forward
31:17and those punches
31:18cannot be pulled
31:26just cannot stand
31:27in front
31:28of Nate Miller
31:29he did it for a moment
31:30he caught two shots
31:39so Nate Miller
31:40continues to
31:41administer
31:42a pretty good beating
31:43to Ryan Laspata
31:45as we come
31:46toward the end
31:47of round number
31:48six
31:49and the story
31:50is as it has been
31:52double A
31:53we'll be back
31:53after this word
31:54from your local
31:55station
32:03we start round
32:03number seven
32:04now
32:04and Nate Miller
32:06I would have to think
32:07pitching a shutout
32:08against Ryan Laspata
32:09you know I can't help
32:10but wonder
32:10if he did this much
32:11holding when he was
32:12squalling with those
32:12heavyweights
32:12because I personally
32:14would have thrown
32:14him right out of hand
32:15you don't pay a man
32:16in the squad
32:17with you
32:17and then have him
32:18hold
32:24same counter
32:25right hand
32:26Barry
32:28we're in round number
32:29seven
32:30and it's been a fight
32:31that has been owned
32:31virtually from the opening
32:32bell by the champion
32:33Nate Miller
32:34this for his WBA
32:36cruiserweight title
32:3745 seconds
32:38into the first round
32:39Miller had a flash
32:40knockdown
32:40of Ryan Laspata
32:41and Laspata
32:42has really never
32:42gotten in gear
32:43since that point
32:44he was heard
32:45on a couple
32:45of occasions
32:46both in the second
32:46and third round
32:47and quite simply
32:49the fight was
32:49predominated by
32:50the champion
32:51Rick Miller's corner
32:52said to stop
32:53letting him walk
32:54around
32:54stop letting him dance
32:55you want to be
32:55a main event fighter
32:56well let's go
32:57step around
32:57cut him off
32:58don't let him dance
32:59you didn't want to
32:59let him dance
33:00don't let him do it
33:04lunging right hand
33:05by Nate Miller
33:06Miller still not
33:07cutting the ring
33:08quite as well
33:09as well as he did
33:09early in the fight
33:13alright break him
33:13here break him
33:26let's go
33:30at the same token
33:31he doesn't have to
33:32look for Laspata
33:32quite as much
33:33as he did Laspata
33:34in front of him
33:35a little bit more
33:35than he has been
33:36it takes a lot
33:37of energy
33:37to keep moving
33:38keep moving
33:38keep moving
33:39get on your toes
33:40change directions
33:42it takes a lot of
33:43energy to keep
33:43shifting gears like
33:44that Laspata
33:45is also getting
33:45hit regularly
33:46with the arms
33:47on the chin
33:47and the body
33:50oh it's time
33:51let's go
33:53step back
33:53come on Brian
33:55yeah
33:58come on
33:58come on
33:59come on
34:00come on
34:01come on
34:01come on
34:02come on
34:04alright
34:04alright
34:04break me
34:05step back
34:07not much
34:08action
34:08action
34:08in the 7th round
34:11good left hand
34:12there
34:12that hurt Laspata
34:15and once again
34:15he holds on
34:16there's just not
34:17enough strength
34:18or zing
34:18on any of the
34:19punches
34:19Laspata
34:20throws
34:20to keep
34:20Nate Miller off
34:21I don't need
34:21no everything
34:22he's saying
34:22just walk right
34:23through him
34:23he can't hurt me
34:25he can't hurt me
34:26just go
34:27there are no
34:28repercussions
34:28to any of his
34:29actions
34:29and that's why
34:30Laspata
34:30can't get any
34:31respect right now
34:3230 seconds remaining
34:33round 7
34:43I still believe
34:44Nate Miller can use
34:45that jab more
34:45though
34:45I know he's a better
34:47jabber than he's
34:47showing today
34:48I know he's a little
34:48frustrated
34:49he's looking to load up
34:49because Laspata's
34:50looking to hold
34:51but if he stuffs that
34:52jab it'll be that
34:52much more difficult
34:53for Laspata to hold
34:54I'm sure he feels
34:55that he should get
34:56Laspata out of there
34:57and he hasn't been
34:57able to get him down
34:58since the opening
34:5945 seconds
35:01well every now and
35:02then there's a little
35:03touch of honesty
35:03in the corner
35:04of a professional
35:04prizefighter
35:05Roger Mayweather
35:06asked Ryan Laspata
35:07between rounds
35:08how do you feel
35:09and Laspata said
35:09I'm a little tired
35:13well if he didn't
35:14think we knew
35:15we know
35:23and it's tough
35:24being tired
35:24to try to
35:25keep a man by
35:26name never off
35:27you
35:28you know
35:29Vince Lombardi
35:30probably said
35:30it best
35:31fatigue makes
35:32cowards of us
35:33all
35:33and there's
35:33no more
35:33lonely
35:34in place
35:34than in that
35:34range
35:35still to come
35:35of course
35:36Oliver McCall
35:36just tap dancing
35:38until he gets
35:39his shot
35:39which might be
35:40a ways away
35:41and he gets
35:41a guy who
35:42really is
35:43brimming with
35:43confidence
35:44Tim Stanton
35:44really believes
35:45he can beat
35:45Oliver McCall
35:46time will tell
35:47that's our main event
35:4710 rounds
35:48in the heavyweight division
35:49still to come
35:52Stan Woodlandy
35:53can't be a runner
35:54would he
35:54he could be
35:57he says
35:58he's not
36:01nice jab
36:02by Nate Miller
36:03see if he uses
36:03that jab
36:04two or three
36:04he gets
36:05Brian's head
36:05up and he
36:06comes in
36:06he can do
36:06what he wants
36:07to do
36:07instead he's
36:08letting
36:08Brian tie him
36:09up by coming
36:10in with a big
36:10shot
36:20that cut
36:20just opened up
36:21again
36:21over the left
36:22eye
36:22of Nate Miller
36:23I don't believe
36:24it's anything
36:24that's going to
36:24cause a huge
36:25problem
36:26and even if it
36:26does
36:26they would go
36:27for the score
36:28cards
36:28because the
36:29referee
36:29has already
36:30said
36:30it was caused
36:31by an accidental
36:31buck
36:45a little bit
36:48tired
36:49too
36:50yeah
36:51that wrestling
36:51grappling kind
36:52of fight
36:52is tiresome
36:55takes a lot
36:55out of you
36:56just wrestle
36:56the guy
36:57that weighs
36:57190 pounds
36:58like you do
36:58it's a little
36:59more fatiguing
37:00than it might
37:00appear
37:03there are points
37:04during the course
37:05of this fight
37:05that I've seen
37:05some mambos
37:06with a little
37:06more action
37:07but they're
37:07really coming
37:08into a big
37:09line
37:09it's more
37:09of a waltz
37:11and a slow
37:12one at that
37:12good left
37:13hand
37:13once again
37:14and once
37:15again
37:15this final
37:15holds up
37:16and a good
37:16right hook
37:17to the body
37:17makes you a nice
37:18wrap around
37:19right hand
37:19to the body
37:20but what he
37:21needs to do
37:21right there
37:21there it is
37:22rip off
37:22the uppercut
37:22keep it up
37:23mix him up
37:24head and body
37:24once again
37:25Laspata
37:26hangs on
37:27desperately
37:29Laspata's got
37:29no legs
37:30at all
37:30right now
37:31that's a
37:31passive hang on
37:32there you see
37:33him fight back
37:33a little bit
37:34but for the
37:35most part
37:35it's a
37:36passive hang on
37:36took a good
37:37right hand
37:38and Miller
37:38just stalking
37:39him now
37:3920 seconds
37:40remaining
37:40round 8
37:48Laspata
37:49has very
37:50little
37:50left
37:52well
37:52watch those
37:53heads in
37:53here
37:54but he will
37:54get through
37:55the 8th round
37:56don't go
37:56right
37:56we're coming
37:57back
37:57but is Laspata
38:00Laspata
38:01trying to find
38:01something that
38:02just I don't
38:03believe is there
38:04or anywhere
38:04near there
38:06he's a very
38:07tired fighter
38:07he doesn't
38:08have much
38:09left in the
38:10legs
38:11and Nate
38:11Miller
38:12I'm quite
38:12sure
38:12will really
38:13try to jump
38:13on Laspata
38:14here
38:15oh no no
38:16no no
38:17big mouse
38:20developing on
38:21the left eye
38:21of Laspata
38:22now
38:23nice right
38:24hand by Laspata
38:25but again
38:25not a puncher
38:26he's not
38:27going to get
38:27Nate Miller
38:27out one punch
38:28there has to
38:29be a cumulative
38:29effect
38:30with only a few
38:31rounds to go
38:31I don't know
38:32that that cumulative
38:33effect can even
38:33take place
38:34now
38:34Laspata's legs
38:35really rubbery
38:36though
38:36just won't
38:36take much
38:37there's a crashing
38:38right hand
38:38with great lead
38:39right hand
38:40nice cut
38:41open up
38:41over the left
38:42eye
38:42of the spot
38:43yeah
38:43and that
38:43is a nasty
38:45cut
38:48and that
38:49is the kind
38:49of cut
38:50that could be
38:50enough to
38:51stop this
38:51fight
38:51stop
38:51stop
38:52stop
38:52stop
38:53stop
39:14that's it
39:21no
39:21good
39:22there's no chance
39:23this spot
39:23was going to
39:24win the fight
39:26spare the man
39:26a little punishment
39:29Yeah, Laspata's blood spattered out of here pretty good.
39:32The lead right hand opened it and then a couple more punches.
39:34And it was gushing pretty freely.
39:37Yeah, very nasty, a very deep cut.
39:40The guy had no chance to win the fight, so why not stop him?
39:44His chances were beyond slim and none.
39:46Just not a puncher, not punching in combination,
39:49not really offering up much of a threat whatsoever.
39:53So Brian Laspata gets an opportunity
39:55and quite simply just overmatched with Nate Miller.
39:59He really didn't have a chance in this fight
40:00from 45 seconds into it, a flash knocked out.
40:03He never really recovered from that.
40:04It was only a question of time for Nate Miller.
40:07Again, Nate Miller just doing what he does.
40:09He talks about his job as, this is my business.
40:13And if I don't particularly look razzle-dazzle to the folks out there,
40:18that's not my problem.
40:19I'm not going to get beat up.
40:23He says my job is to make money
40:24and have something to show for it.
40:26That's what it's all about.
40:27He says I'm very grateful for what I have.
40:29We mentioned earlier,
40:30he works for the Philadelphia Housing Authority,
40:32keeps a full-time job.
40:34He does talk, incidentally.
40:35He has a very low-key personality,
40:37and he talks about being a comedian.
40:39So we said to him,
40:40are you going to be a stand-up comedian?
40:41He said, no, I'm going to be a lay-down comedian.
40:43Well, I'll tell you what,
40:44stand-up's hard.
40:45Lay-down might be even harder.
40:49Take a look at just the sampling from this fight.
40:52And if you look at this in microcosm,
40:53this is what the fight was all about.
40:56That was a nice right hand,
40:57but I'll tell you what,
40:58a head hit it right here.
40:59I wonder if it wasn't another clash of heads
41:00that caused the fight to be stopped.
41:02Either way,
41:03if you go to the scorecards,
41:04it's a shutout.
41:06Nate Miller, lead right hand,
41:07bang,
41:07then there you see the heads clash,
41:08bang,
41:09solid, clean right hand,
41:11solid, clean headbutt.
41:14That's an interesting one, too.
41:15And a solid, clean end to the fight.
41:18There you go.
41:19You'll see one more time,
41:20a super slow-mo.
41:21Right hand,
41:22right head.
41:24And that's,
41:25Benny Briscoe was the best at that.
41:27He hit you at a left, right,
41:28and then his head.
41:28It was a three-punch combination.
41:30Another Philadelphia fighter.
41:31One, two, three.
41:32Happens at the gyms every day
41:35in Philadelphia.
41:36Let's make it all official now.
41:37Go up to the center of the ring
41:38and the ring announcer,
41:39Jimmy Lennon, Jr.
41:39Jimmy.
41:42Ladies and gentlemen,
41:44we have the time of 56 seconds
41:46in round number nine.
41:48A referee in charge.
41:49Bill Conner stops the contest
41:51on advice to the ringside position.
41:53The winner by way of technical knockout
41:56and still champion,
41:58Nate,
41:59Mr. Miller.
42:05Well, once again,
42:06it might not have been pretty,
42:07but Nate Miller will take it.
42:08Thank you very much.
42:09It's another W.
42:10He retains his WBA title
42:12in the cruiserweight division.
42:13He says,
42:14no, I'm not going to heavyweight right now.
42:15I'm going to fight a few more times
42:16at cruiserweight,
42:17be the champion,
42:19put money on the table,
42:20food on the table,
42:21money in the bank.
42:22I'm looking out for my future.
42:24So Nate Miller is a winner,
42:25and we're coming back
42:26after this word
42:27from your local station.
42:40Nate Miller picks up his 28th win,
42:42his 24th by knockout.
42:43He's still the WBA champion,
42:45and right now,
42:45he is in the center of the ring
42:46with Eric Clemens.
42:47Eric?
42:47All right, Barry,
42:48thank you very much.
42:49I'm with Nate Mr. Miller
42:50who retains his championship
42:51with a TKO in round number nine.
42:54Nate, first of all,
42:54tell me how frustrating
42:55was it to fight a guy like this
42:57who was kind of moving away from you
42:59the entire fight long,
43:00and you'd land a couple of shots,
43:01but he'd be out of there
43:02before you could finish him.
43:03I'd like to say thank God
43:04first for giving me the strength,
43:06my family and friends,
43:08my coworkers and so forth.
43:10It was pretty tricky.
43:12I kind of figured
43:13he was going to run and run,
43:14and I had to stalk him out.
43:16But, you know,
43:17I got to get used to these fighters,
43:18and be on my P's and Q's
43:20at all times.
43:20You hit him with good shots,
43:22really, all fight long.
43:23We've got some replays
43:24coming up here.
43:25First round,
43:26the knockdown,
43:27describe that for us.
43:29I had to set him up first
43:30with the jab,
43:30then come across.
43:32That's mostly what I specialize in
43:33is counterpunching
43:35and catching people
43:36when they're off guard.
43:37Second look at this.
43:38Did you fear, by the way,
43:40as we take another look at this,
43:42that he could hurt you at all?
43:43It didn't look like
43:44you were very concerned
43:45about his ability to hurt you
43:46when you came inside.
43:47No, I wasn't scared at all.
43:49I said,
43:49you know,
43:50I trained hard for this fight,
43:51and I know my chin
43:52can stand up against the toughest.
43:54And, you know,
43:54I was very much prepared,
43:56and I wasn't taking the man
43:58for granted or lightning.
44:00Go ahead.
44:01You know,
44:01I had to stay on my P's and Q's
44:03and do what I do best.
44:04All right,
44:04talk about the cruiserweight division now.
44:06You want another shot
44:06at Mr. Cole?
44:07You want another shot at Wamba?
44:08What are you going to do here
44:09in the cruiserweight division
44:10from here on out?
44:11It's all up to Mr. King.
44:13You know,
44:14I'll fight anybody.
44:15I'm not afraid of nobody.
44:16And, you know,
44:17when the opportunity presents itself,
44:18I'll be ready and able,
44:20and, you know,
44:20we go from there.
44:21A gentleman every time
44:23until he steps in the ring,
44:24Nate,
44:24Mr. Miller,
44:26winning this one by TKO.
44:28Let's go upstairs
44:29to James Brown.
44:29JB?
44:30All right, Eric.
44:31Thank you very much.
44:32And Nate Miller said
44:33that if he was on his game plan
44:34that he would,
44:35in fact,
44:35win this one in three rounds.
44:37Clearly,
44:37he was six rounds
44:38longer than that he planned.
44:40And, you know,
44:40one trait of Nate Miller
44:42is that both as a person
44:43and as a boxer
44:44is that he is simply too nice,
44:45wasn't as aggressive
44:47as he could have been.
44:48And as such,
44:49he let the spotter,
44:51challenger hang around
44:52just a little too long.
44:53That's a gamble
44:53that you don't want to take
44:54as a fighter indeed.
44:55But the bottom line
44:56is that he was successful
44:57in defending his title.
44:59All right,
44:59still to come tonight.
