A first charter flight carrying 127 Italian citizens stranded in Oman, or moved there from Dubai, landed in Rome’s Fiumicino airport late on Monday (March 2). The operation came as Italy works to repatriate its citizens stuck in the Middle East following the U.S.-Israeli strike on Iran and the subsequent escalation in the region. - REUTERS

00:08We took this flight that wasn't even scheduled. It was a charter flight, and as soon as I arrived
00:12at the airport, they said to me, get on board immediately, you're leaving in an hour. We
00:16managed to leave very quickly. We received a message on Viajare Sicuri at 2 o'clock when
00:24it was supposed to leave at 3, so obviously people didn't have their bags ready. And then
00:29there was the fact that it cost 1,500 euros, which is expensive for families of 4 or 5.
00:34So the plane wasn't full.
00:39Now we're in Europe, so we feel safe. And so, I think we managed to come back successfully.
00:45And that's thanks to the Italian Embassy, because without them, we wouldn't have come
00:49back after two days. That's it. Thank you very much.
