00:00During an interview, Cuban President Miguel Díaz Canero reiterated his call for dialogue with the United States to resolve bilateral
00:05differences while reaffirming his country's sovereignty and defensive capacity.
00:09During an interview, the Cuban leader stated the following,
00:12We can engage in dialogue because throughout the years of the revolution there has always been a willingness on the
00:17Cuban side to maintain a civilized relationship as neighbors with the United States regardless of our ideological differences.
00:23There are many areas of common ground in which we can work, and not only could we work together, but
00:29we could reach agreements that are beneficial for both peoples and both nations.
00:33Likewise, the President added,
00:34Cuba is not a country of war. It is a country of peace that promotes solidarity and cooperation.
00:39But Cuba is not afraid of war. We have a defense doctrine known as the war of the whole people,
00:44which is not an aggressive doctrine, but rather a defensive one involving the participation of the entire population.
00:49Cuba does not represent a threat to the United States, much less an unusual and extraordinary threat, as has been
00:55alleged as a pretext for an executive order.
00:58And I did not say this only to answer your question, but because Cuba has demonstrated it throughout its history
01:04in relations to the United States and the world.
01:06Similarly, the Cuban leader stated the following,
01:08I reiterate that our peoples deserve peace, the possibility of living in an atmosphere of friendship, of cooperating, and of
01:15enjoying full freedom to build a genuine relationship of good neighborliness.
01:19I believe that this is what is truly constructive and what generally offers an emancipatory vision for the possibility of
01:26resolving bilateral differences through dialogue.
01:28And have a good look.
01:36People have a good look.
