00:00JFK, he's a gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous man.
00:03Just because he can pull certain things off, like the hat,
00:06doesn't mean the performative males of Bushwick can.
00:09Oh my gosh.
00:11Stop the madness.
00:15We've been going a couple days now on the Bachelorette men.
00:20They've dropped the roster.
00:24The premiere is on March 22nd.
00:26I can't wait.
00:27But we already have some favorites.
00:27We do, and we are going to give out our first impression, Rose.
00:32If you will.
00:33If you will.
00:34We've decided who Taylor should be honing in on,
00:37just on vibes, descriptions, whatever we feel like.
00:41Ashley, can you give us a little background on Taylor, the Bachelorette?
00:45Oh, can I ever.
00:45She's the Mormon Wives queen.
00:47I love the Mormon Wives.
00:48Okay, so TLDR, this is Taylor's backstory.
00:51She is on the Mormon Wives, but it really goes deeper than that.
00:54She started as a TikTok influencer.
00:56She became super popular for creating MomTalk in Utah.
00:59Her and her husband at the time had two kids.
01:02They were always hanging out with other couples.
01:04She started to do this mom talk where they would dance and they would go places together.
01:09And then came the swinging scandal.
01:13So there were rumors going around that her husband and herself were involved
01:17in a couples group joint.
01:20They call it soft swinging situation and scandal.
01:24And then she just went on TikTok and said, listen, if you're all going to talk about it,
01:28I'll tell you what actually is going down.
01:31Weighed it all on the line, admitted essentially to the swinging scandal, gave some details,
01:35protected others because there were a lot of people involved.
01:37And then it just created all this chaotic, like, firestorm of social media around her.
01:44Fast forward to her and her husband got divorced.
01:48She joined the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and created this MomTalk group of reality stars now.
01:55And then she started dating her, at the time, boyfriend Dakota, which we saw on the show.
02:01So Dakota plays out on the show, her relationship with him.
02:03And they have a son, a young son.
02:06So now she has three kids.
02:08But her and Dakota were on and off, on and off.
02:10So now they've been off.
02:12They're trying to focus on co-parenting.
02:13And Taylor is looking for love.
02:16You really ate that.
02:19And it's so crazy.
02:20The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is a huge hit on Hulu.
02:23So big.
02:24Two of the cast members were on Dance for the Stars.
02:27So this is like, we're at peak reality TV right now.
02:29One's on Chicago in Broadway.
02:31Yes, Whitney.
02:32Whitney was also on Dancing with the Stars.
02:34Whitney and Jen were on Dancing with the Stars.
02:35And then Whitney is doing Roxy Hart now in Chicago.
02:39And she's crushing it, too.
02:41And then Macy wrote a book.
02:43And, you know, there are so many of them doing their own little side projects.
02:47And so we've got to talk about Taylor, though.
02:48This is a big one.
02:50She's taking center stage.
02:51I don't think anyone expected this.
02:53Because traditionally, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette is someone from a previous season.
02:57And I think everyone was shocked, but also obsessed.
03:02I know myself.
03:02I used to be a big Bachelor fan.
03:04But in the more recent years, I was kind of bored.
03:07So I stopped watching it.
03:08But now I'm actually going to watch it.
03:10I will say, I'm pretty excited for Taylor.
03:12I haven't watched not one season of The Bachelor, if I'm being honest.
03:15But I will watch this one.
03:15This is a good first.
03:16Yeah, she's a character.
03:18Yeah, and I feel like The Bachelor always seemed like really kind of buttoned up and prim and proper.
03:21And I feel like Taylor's going to come and like wreck that .
03:24She's going to really make it her own.
03:26Yes.
03:26Like I get the energy from her.
03:28I feel that the same way.
03:29I think she's just going to come in and like flip it upside down like it sort of needed.
03:33Because as you said, Lauren, it was kind of getting like a little dry.
03:36It was the same formula every time.
03:39And then the people they were picking to be the leads were just like kind of expected.
03:44It wasn't like they were bad.
03:45Yeah.
03:46They were just kind of like expected.
03:47So then you go into it being like, oh, this is just kind of the same cycle.
03:50Well, now this cycle is being broken.
03:52And Taylor is a wild card.
03:54Yeah, she's a mom of three.
03:56Yes.
03:56She's 31, which is a little bit on the older side for a bachelorette.
04:00Yeah.
04:00And the guys, there's a couple of guys from Utah that are in the lineup.
04:04Yeah.
04:04They have all different ages.
04:06I mean, we've got people in their 40s.
04:07We've got people in their 20s.
04:08I mean, it's really anyone's game.
04:10But you have to assume all of these guys are down with the idea of dating a mom,
04:17a single mom who has two baby daddies.
04:20Right.
04:21And who and they're they maybe have a little stepdad energy.
04:25And I think we've got some stepdad energy from this lineup.
04:28At first, though, when ABC first dropped the roster,
04:31the comments on Instagram were a little a little harsh.
04:35They were like, these guys look chopped.
04:36These guys are a little like average.
04:40They don't you don't get your typical like male model lineup this season.
04:44Totally.
04:44And the Internet is ruthless to these new contestants every single time.
04:48Oh, yeah.
04:49Girls, guys.
04:49It's like, you can never know exactly who they are.
04:52And they're in these like really staged, poised, polished pictures where they're like,
04:57and they're using them for press.
04:58So it's like every single time they just are on the chopping block.
05:02But I feel like we dove into.
05:03I feel like they always look better in videos and on TV because it's like
05:06with those types of pictures.
05:07It's like school picture day.
05:08No one looks good.
05:10Right.
05:10Because it's just so stiff.
05:12So I'm going to give them a chance on on camera.
05:16And already when they released their first video promo a few days ago,
05:19where she reads a book, book of more men.
05:22I love that promo.
05:25With the Crocs.
05:26With the Crocs.
05:27I mean, I was like, oh, wait, they're they're actually not chopped.
05:31They're actually pretty cute.
05:33Do you know who's pretty cute?
05:33I would say Johnny Biceps.
05:35Yeah, he's a former baseball player.
05:38He's from Long Island.
05:39He plays on one of those exhibition baseball teams like the Savannah Bananas.
05:43It's called the Cosmic Chili Peppers.
05:45No, I love that.
05:46He's like to me, he's just he's 30 years old.
05:49So there's similar age and he is just hammy in the way that I think Taylor is.
05:53Okay.
05:54Yeah, he's going to bring that influencer energy.
05:56And he kind of he doesn't look exactly like Dakota,
05:58but he kind of has that like goofy bad boy.
06:02I mean, the amount of pictures he has shirtless, flexing, goofy smile.
06:07I mean, to me, a Long Island boy and a Utah girl actually would have a lot in common.
06:12Okay.
06:13I like that analysis.
06:14Yes.
06:15So Johnny, Johnny's got my vote.
06:16So he's getting your first impression.
06:17Johnny Biceps.
06:18Okay.
06:18I would say from the photo and the description, I didn't really get all of that.
06:23But when you tell me about like the Cosmic Chili Peppers, I was like, this kind of works.
06:29Okay.
06:29Yeah.
06:30You sold us.
06:31You sold us.
06:32She needs someone, in my opinion, that loves the camera because she's not going to go back
06:35to a quiet life after this.
06:36I agree.
06:37And that was one of the things that I was trying to consider too, because you also have
06:40to factor in on like this person might have to eventually be on the show and on the show,
06:46the mom talk group, they all are, most of them are married and or dating someone.
06:51And then they have the dad talk now.
06:55So I'm kind of like keeping in the back of my mind, this person will eventually have
06:58to join dad talk if he's dating Taylor long term.
07:02And he went viral for dance moves.
07:04So Johnny.
07:05Yeah.
07:05Yeah.
07:05Okay.
07:06Well, there we go.
07:07He was a former professional baseball player, but now he does a little bit more, you know,
07:11goofy, goofy baseball.
07:12A little theatrics, if you will.
07:13Who do you have your eye on, Lauren?
07:15Okay.
07:15I like Brandon.
07:17Okay.
07:18He's also a single dad, which I think is good.
07:20Cause I think I heard something once.
07:22I mean, I'm not a parent, but I do agree with this, but I, I can see this point where
07:26it's like, sometimes people who have kids and are single prefer to date other single
07:31people with kids.
07:32Cause they understand that you'll never be first.
07:35That makes sense.
07:35Like your kids are always first and they understand that.
07:37Cause they're in that same position.
07:38And also, I don't know.
07:39He just seems sweet.
07:40He's a little younger than her.
07:41I think he's 28, but it's like the typical, like he loves the notebook.
07:46And like he said, he loves the smell of roasting marshmallows.
07:50He also loves the gym.
07:51He is ripped.
07:52Yeah.
07:52He's like in South Dakota.
07:53I mean, the man looks like a Marvel superhero.
07:56He's out there chopping them trees down.
08:00He's honestly really cute.
08:01He was probably one of the ones I was like, okay, yeah.
08:03Like he's definitely at the top.
08:05And he also loves his mom.
08:06And I'm like, okay, that could at least show maybe he respects women.
08:10Okay.
08:10Which is nice to think about.
08:12I actually like that too, because more lore about Taylor.
08:15In the show, she talks about how she did not have a great relationship with her biological
08:19father and how that has really been something that she's had to try to sort through on her
08:26own.
08:26And it has like bled into her relationships because she has, and this is an exact quote,
08:31but like the kind of way that I have understood it is that she has like sort of abandonment issues.
08:38And it's like, she's been very vocal about that.
08:41How like her relationships are kind of tied back to the trauma that she's gone through with her
08:45dad.
08:46So I think it would be good to have somebody like that.
08:48That's kind of like giving a shout out to their mama.
08:51Cause it's like, okay, he loves family.
08:53He's like, you know, protecting his family.
08:55And that seems like something that she is yearning for when she speaks so publicly
09:00and then vulnerably about that.
09:02So that's a good one.
09:03There's some realness there.
09:04Malik, there is another Malik in this lineup.
09:06Yeah.
09:07Is he your pick or do you have someone else in mind?
09:08He is my pick, but I will say I also really like Mike.
09:12Oh, okay.
09:13Mike T from New Jersey.
09:15He has this like energy to him.
09:17He only had one little moment in the video where he's like handing the rose,
09:20but something about him is just so smooth.
09:23Yeah.
09:23Like so smooth, so charming.
09:25And he's like a reformed bad boy, which could be a red flag or it could show like
09:31he has this kind of cool edginess to him that'll work for her.
09:33Yeah, I could see that.
09:35I like, I clicked on his Instagram and he's posing with his niece and nephew.
09:38So he's definitely putting it forward that he's ready to settle down.
09:41Okay.
09:41And like, he's from La Valette, New Jersey.
09:43That's Jersey Shore.
09:44You know, he's like, he's a little, a little Sopranos, a little Jersey Shore.
09:48Yeah.
09:49I think they would get along because you know, she's sort of a reformed bad girl.
09:52Yeah.
09:52Soft swinger.
09:53Yeah, that's fair.
09:54I mean, all these guys, all these guys did the research on her before signing up for this show.
09:58They know what they're getting at.
09:59I mean, if you have one guy in the promo that's like, I've never watched the show.
10:03I'm like, yeah, me neither.
10:04Okay.
10:05Oh no.
10:06Okay.
10:06Well, he's going to be in for a pleasant surprise with the energy that she's going to bring.
10:10But like, we have to root for the Malik, right?
10:12Yeah, we have to root for Malik.
10:14Malik from Brooklyn.
10:15He's rooting for Malik from Brooklyn.
10:16Exactly.
10:17He was so cute.
10:18He had these like cute dance moves and everything.
10:20Like, I think he was a tech executive.
10:22And I'm like, okay, yes.
10:24That's what we like to see.
10:25That's what Taylor needs.
10:26I think there's at least three that are from Utah, which makes sense because
10:30Taylor's not going to leave the show.
10:31But there is a guy from California and he's a Paralympian that we were just swooning over.
10:36I think that that is my first impression, Rose.
10:39Pick, Trenton.
10:41He just seems like he has that energy and that buzz about him that she might like.
10:45He's a Paralympian.
10:47He made an amazingly hilarious video with his dog like fake searching who Taylor Frankie Paul was
10:54when he was, I don't know, I guess he was kind of like trying to shoot his shot or like
10:57promote that he was on the show or something.
10:58And he's like running with the roses and the petals are flying everywhere.
11:02I mean, you know what he knows how to do?
11:04Edit a TikTok.
11:06So it was a very good TikTok.
11:08He would fit in on that dad talk.
11:09Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.
11:11You know, I'm like looking at all the puzzle pieces and he just seemed like he had good
11:14energy, good vibes.
11:15So I'm excited to see what he brings to the mansion and the table.
11:19And you love the Olympics.
11:21I love the Olympics.
11:23That would be your world's coming.
11:24It's like secret lives of Mormon wives, the Olympics coming together.
11:27It's all my favorite people.
11:29Like, could you imagine if, if he makes it to the end, like I might have to have a finale
11:33party with myself and I will be sat and watching.
11:39Maybe I'll get like some gear.
11:41Team USA gear.
11:43Well, speaking of viral animal videos, did we all see the punch video of the little monkey
11:50monkey in Japan and punch?
11:54He just is.
11:55Ashley's going to cry.
11:56I know.
11:57Punch the monkey has been pulling out her heartstrings, was abandoned by his mother in the zoo.
12:02And so the zookeepers gave punch this orangutan stuffed animal that kind of acts as a surrogate
12:08mother.
12:09From Ikea.
12:09From Ikea.
12:10From Ikea.
12:10It's sold out at Ikea.
12:12Of course.
12:12Ikea in Japan, the president showed up with a bunch more stuffed animals and was like,
12:17you'll never run out.
12:18Punch is covered.
12:19My For You page is just a daily update on punch.
12:23I can't get away from punch now.
12:25Me either.
12:25I'm so proud of him because I just saw a video of him most recently.
12:29He stood up for himself against the other monkey bullies.
12:31Okay.
12:32Because like the other monkeys aren't accepting him.
12:34It makes me really sad.
12:36And that's why he's named punch because he got punched and then he ran to his,
12:39he went into his plushie, but now not only has he made a friend, made a friend,
12:46but he's starting to stand for himself.
12:48And I'm really proud.
12:48But why are the like the grownup monkeys all bullying him and like picking on him?
12:52It's so weird.
12:53I think it's because normally the adult monkeys, like the parent figures do the protecting.
12:59And so, you know, right now, like punch is getting all the attention.
13:02I'm no, you know, primatologist, but punch is getting all this attention from the zookeepers.
13:08And, uh, you know, as time has gone by, punch is also starting to physically interact with
13:14the other monkeys in a nonviolent way.
13:16Yeah.
13:16I saw a video of an older monkey, uh, kind of grooming the insects out of his hair.
13:21So that's like very good social bonding.
13:22It's heading in the right direction.
13:24It is.
13:24Oh, I have been like a rollercoaster of emotions with punch.
13:29I'm like crying.
13:30And then I'm so happy for him.
13:31And then he's so cute.
13:32But then I'm sad that his little monkey plushie is getting tattered.
13:35And what's he going to do?
13:36And why does he think that this monkey plushie is his mom?
13:38Because it doesn't move?
13:39And is he okay?
13:41But then-
13:41He provides warmth and comfort.
13:43I know.
13:43And softness.
13:44It's like him running to it for protection from the other monkeys.
13:47It's so sad.
13:48I know.
13:48I know.
13:49Like all the other monkeys have someone and he has no one.
13:52I know.
13:54It's terrible.
13:54But now he's a friend and I hope their friendship works out.
13:56I really do.
13:57But now not only am I getting all the videos about punch and every single update that everything
14:02that he does, but I'm also being served all of the memes about him too.
14:06No, I sent one to Ashley yesterday.
14:08It was that video of Kris Jenner and like old Kardashians when she's like,
14:12when she adopts a monkey for like a day.
14:14And I'm like, this is going to be Ashley when she makes her husband fly to Japan to save punch.
14:19Yeah.
14:19She has like a little chimpanzee on her hip and she's like going through her closet.
14:23This is like so old school Kardashian.
14:25So old school.
14:25And Lauren's like, that's going to be you.
14:26I'm like, yes.
14:27No.
14:28That's like booking my flight to Japan.
14:30Like all of the memes that are like, who's joining my rescue party?
14:34When are we going to Japan?
14:36Like the monkey on everyone's hip.
14:37There's lines around the block at the zoo and the zoo keeps updating every day.
14:40So sorry it took us so long to get everyone in the door.
14:43We know you're here to see punch the monkey.
14:45Yeah.
14:45I mean, it's crazy.
14:46Yeah.
14:47This is like the Harry Styles concert.
14:50And I love that we find these little like baby animals and we become obsessed
14:54with them and like watch them grow.
14:57The little hippo.
14:58But I think I had a tweet shout out to one of our page sixers.
15:02She knows who she is.
15:03She did show me a tweet.
15:04It's like, how dare you compare mudang to punch?
15:08Because punch has been through the ringer.
15:10He's from the streets.
15:12Okay.
15:13Mudang comes from privilege.
15:16You can't compare the two.
15:19Oh my gosh.
15:20Mudang went viral for like biting a zookeeper's leg.
15:22Punch would never do that.
15:23Punch would never.
15:24No, no, no.
15:25Punch is a sweetheart.
15:26I mean, I was watching a video today and crying because punch was in the rain.
15:29All the monkeys went to the enclosure, but punch was waiting for the zookeeper to come out.
15:34Because it doesn't know where its loyalties lie.
15:37I know he doesn't have, he doesn't have the nurturing parent that is in their community.
15:42That says get inside, it's raining.
15:44That is like training the babies.
15:46The stuffed animal is, has gone viral and it's selling out on Ikea.
15:50And so now it's being resold on eBay for hundreds of dollars.
15:54Wow.
15:54Who knows if anyone's buying it, but it's being listed, which is so funny that this,
15:57these crazes happen where people are, you know, I do think the Ikea stuffed animal is cute.
16:03It is cute, but you know what would be even smarter marketing of Ikea?
16:06They should make a punch the monkey plushie and start selling it all around the world in
16:12all of their stores and then donate proceeds of the plush monkey back to the zoo in Japan.
16:19Because everybody would buy one of those.
16:21And I've even seen so many brands already kind of capitalizing on punch and like,
16:26he's not even getting any royalties for this, but they'll be like, oh, you know, like me when
16:31I forget my lip balm and it's like him walking his, his little plush monkey and like looking sad.
16:37And then the brand is just promoting their own lip balm.
16:39I'm like, don't use him, but Ikea can.
16:42I'm also like starting to wonder if I'm, I'm being fed AI punch videos,
16:46because I saw one where he was walking on hind legs.
16:49No, I don't know if that's AI or I think he's starting to learn how to walk on two legs.
16:53He's starting to figure it out.
16:53What is going on?
16:54Do monkeys do it?
16:55No, we're getting really up.
16:56I think they really do.
16:57They do.
16:58I think they do for a little bit.
16:59Yeah.
16:59I'm like, is this monkey like copying the humans?
17:02Like what's going on?
17:03Oh my God.
17:03Could you imagine?
17:04Oh my gosh.
17:05I just feel like every day he's growing and evolving and we're always seeing new updates
17:09and progress.
17:10And I don't know.
17:10I don't know this monkey, but I feel really proud of him.
17:13I know.
17:14I'm so attached to him as if like, I'm part of his family.
17:17Even though he thinks he has no family, but little does he know.
17:21Oh, the whole world's family.
17:23I do wish I could go back in time and not watch that video of him going up to an
17:28adult
17:28monkey and having that monkey just shove him away.
17:32No.
17:32And then there's another video where he's grabbed and kind of tossed around.
17:36And Punch is okay.
17:37Punch is not injured.
17:38But I'm also like, why are we recording?
17:40Oh my God.
17:42And where are the zookeepers?
17:43Yeah.
17:43They're like, oh my gosh.
17:44I don't think they intervene with interprimate drama.
17:47I guess not.
17:48No.
17:48This is like a reality show.
17:49I was going to say, here's our new reality show.
17:51Oh my God.
17:51Step aside, Taylor Frankie Paul.
17:53Love Story, John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette is on FX, Hulu, Disney Plus.
17:57It's on all of it.
17:59But on TikTok, Gen Z is really embracing this preppy style.
18:04Yeah.
18:04Well, I mean-
18:05What do you guys think?
18:05I started watching the show.
18:08I love it.
18:10Here's the thing.
18:13JFK, he's a gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous man.
18:17Just because he can pull certain things off, like the hat, doesn't mean the performative
18:22males of Bushwick can.
18:24Oh my gosh.
18:26Stop the madness.
18:28Stop the madness.
18:29There's a TikTok with half a million views of a guy in an East Village bar with a backwards
18:34Kangal hat, which JFK Jr. could pull off.
18:37Yeah.
18:37It was giving to me like very Samuel L. Jackson from the 90s.
18:41We wasn't giving it.
18:42So that person was not pulling it off.
18:44Yeah.
18:45No, it's so crazy because already, like the weekend after it first came out, it's like
18:50the performative males of New York City are starting to wear the hats to be like,
18:55oh, I'm vintage 90s JFK Jr.
18:57And I'm just like, no, stop the madness.
19:01Stop the madness.
19:02They can't pull it off with their acid watch, like cargo pants.
19:06It's not the vibe.
19:08It's not the vibe.
19:08The jeans do look good, like a kind of a oversized dress shirt.
19:12Yes.
19:13I mean, that preppy look is classic.
19:15Totally classic, but I just don't think it matches the aesthetic of the performative males
19:19that are doing it.
19:20I do like it in like an old money preppy upper side way, not like a finance bro, like prep
19:28way.
19:28I do love the old money style and I feel like JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette definitely do that.
19:35I did like that some of the guys are tapping into those trends though.
19:39I mean, they might not be pulling them off.
19:41Maybe they're doing some other trends and that's what they should be leaning more into.
19:44But it's so funny to see, I mean, I feel like we always have these cycles for women,
19:49especially when they're super interested and invested in fashion or like want to follow
19:53the trends.
19:54Like I would say, I like to listen to the trends, but Carolyn was like always a fashion icon.
20:00So it's fun to watch her fashion recycle.
20:03She has that very subtle, you know, it's like no labels, no big names.
20:08She's like stealth wealth.
20:10You don't know that she's wearing all these like designer things, but she's so classy.
20:15Even her wedding dress was so chic.
20:17So chic.
20:18I mean, she's the queen of chic.
20:19She was a style icon and she even made inexpensive things look chic.
20:24Like that tortoise shell headband has been sold out in New York.
20:28Yeah, well, you can get it at the place where she did buy her infamous headbands.
20:33It's a store that's still open in Greenwich Village.
20:37It's called the Bigelow.
20:38It's an apothecary kind of high end pharmacy type of store.
20:41Yeah.
20:41And it's like it's a $40 headband.
20:43It's not bad at all.
20:44And I mean, the girls are going crazy for it because they're like, wait, me and Carolyn
20:48Bissette have the same headbands.
20:50I'm personally not a headband girl, but for those who are and want to try it out.
20:55I mean, it's it's just right here.
20:56You can go to where she bought it.
20:59Carolyn kind of gives me the Amanda Batula vibes.
21:02Oh, I love that.
21:03Yeah.
21:04Very just like even the way that she looks, they look similar to me.
21:08They do.
21:08And I'm like, I'm here for it.
21:10Yeah.
21:10Yeah.
21:10They have that same, I don't know, like ability to be so fashionable and so trendy,
21:16but it's all their own.
21:18And they're like trying things that I would never consider in their own way.
21:22And it's like they're cool, but like not loud about it.
21:24Yeah.
21:25Yeah.
21:25And I also find it interesting how the similarities between the two of them, they can literally
21:29just wear like a basic like white t-shirt and jeans and somehow make it look chic and
21:34cool without even trying.
21:35It just naturally looks that way on them where I feel like with other people, it's just like,
21:41okay, yeah, whatever.
21:42It's just like a basic white t-shirt and jeans.
21:43But for them, it just looks for some reason so effortlessly chic.
21:46Yeah.
21:46And the nineties, like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren were like huge.
21:50Yeah.
21:50And it was just classic American prep, very simple, you know, colors, not a lot of crazy
21:55patterns.
21:57And, you know, we have stars like Jennifer Aniston who really embraced that, you know,
22:02you never see Jennifer Aniston in anything wild and crazy.
22:05It's just simple, chic, very flattering to your figure.
22:08And, and I think, you know, we have stars today that, that kind of have picked up where
22:14Carolyn Bessette left off, you know, and I think it's, it's cool to see this younger
22:19generation embracing some of her kind of Calvin Klein aesthetic too, you know, just like a
22:25simple hair pulled back or, you know, not a crazy complicated, you know, outfit.
22:29Just, you know, uh, like you said, a, a white, uh, maybe a white dress shirt with a pencil
22:34skirt.
22:35Yes.
22:35Yeah.
22:35Just something that you look, something you could wear to the office, something you could
22:38wear to a bar.
22:39Yeah.
22:39Yeah.
22:40Just look good.
22:40Yeah.
22:40Old money has been huge.
22:42Oh yeah.
22:42And you know, it's, I've seen it on the men's style side where guys like to look, they kind
22:47of look like they threw a bunch of things on that was maybe on the floor of, you know,
22:51should have been in the laundry.
22:52So they put on, you know, maybe it's a Brooks Brothers dress shirt with some baggy jeans,
22:57no socks, loafers, but like the watch is nice.
23:01Expensive watch.
23:02And then same thing with JFK Jr.
23:04Like slick back hair.
23:06Maybe you do a backwards baseball hat and hop on your bike and go.
23:09Right.
23:09Are there any celebs that you guys feel like can pull off this JFK Jr.
23:13or Carolyn Bessette look?
23:16I was going to say Paul Meskel has kind of a, a classic preppy look, a little sporty,
23:21you know, he's, he's famous for his short shorts, but I could see him doing something
23:24more like that.
23:25Yeah.
23:27I mean, definitely not the Kardashians.
23:29No.
23:30Nothing against them.
23:32Love their style, but they're going the opposite way a little bit, a little more loud,
23:35a little more flashy, which is totally great.
23:38But I don't know.
23:39It's like, it's one of those things.
23:40It's sort of like also sort of Princess Diana-esque with Carolyn.
23:44I feel like it has to come from within.
23:45You can't really force it, you know?
23:47Because it's not only like, yes, you can dress that way, but I feel like to pull off
23:53the entire, the whole vibe, the picture of old money, it just comes from within.
23:58I feel like it's one of those things you either have it or you don't.
24:00You can't teach it.
24:01It's an energy.
24:02Right.
24:02It's an energy.
24:03It's an energy.
24:03And we're coming off of some really wild outfits.
24:07Like Harry Styles, like Gen Z is embracing really crazy looks.
24:11And so JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bissette were really, the pendulum will have to swing far in the
24:17other direction.
24:18Right.
24:18You have to give Gen Z some credit though, because we've seen like, I don't know if this
24:22is the proper name for it, but like the milkmaid skirts and things like that.
24:26Like Gen Z has, you know, they're, they have range.
24:29And I feel like we also, I could see this possibly happening.
24:32I feel like the big blowouts are a big deal.
24:35Like the nineties supermodel Victoria secret supermodel blowouts, like the shark, the Dysons.
24:41Oh, I mean, same, but like, are like a big thing.
24:44But I feel like with Carolyn Bissette, she was had like this effortless, like put together
24:49looking, but yet still messy, like wavy curls.
24:52Like it's like, she just, it looks like she air dried her hair and it just ended up looking
24:55perfect somehow, which I'm sure she did not air dry.
24:58It's very Mary Kate and Ashley.
24:59Very.
25:00Except she was before their time.
25:02Right.
25:02They are very much her, I guess.
25:04But I wonder with the impact of the show, I wonder how that's going to affect hairstyles
25:08and things like that.
25:10I feel like maybe people might start going back a little more natural instead of the blowouts.
25:14Okay.
25:14My favorite thing that I've seen about the show, I still need to watch it, but Nikki
25:18Glazer posted about it.
25:20And I don't know if it was like her assistant or her friend or something was watching it.
25:23And Nikki Glazer captioned it like nobody spoiled the ending of this for Gen Z.
25:30Because she was joking about how Gen Z does not know who they are.
25:33Oh, I have a true story.
25:35But could it be bothered to Wikipedia?
25:36Right.
25:37I mean, obviously this love story has a tragic ending.
25:39I know.
25:39They died in a plane crash in 1999.
25:41It's very sad.
25:42I remember when it happened, everyone was really shook.
25:44Yeah.
25:45You know, because it really, they were like our royal family, you know, the Kennedy's political
25:49dynasty.
25:50People were kind of surprised by it.
25:52Also, you know, the Kennedy family was famous for Cape Cod, this like this world in Massachusetts,
25:59and they died in a plane crash in a small private plane.
26:02Yeah.
26:02You know, you just can imagine just their final moments.
26:05It just breaks your heart.
26:06Yeah, it really does.
26:07And there's just so much history in the Kennedy family and his dad died so tragically and so
26:14publicly.
26:14So I think also the impact of them dying really hit people even harder too.
26:20And it just, it's really sad, but their legacy lives on.
26:22And I think that this love story is just a new way to look at their relationship, their
26:28family, and remember how cool and chic they were.
26:32Yeah.
26:32He died at 38 and she was 33, which means that he would be 65 today.
26:39Wow.
26:39Yeah.
26:40Yeah.
26:41Well, you know, ending on a tender note, but you know, the show is a beautiful portrayal
26:47of what we imagine their lives behind the scenes could be like.
26:51Yeah.
26:51I mean, it's, I think they're doing it very tastefully.
26:54Yeah, definitely.
26:54It's also just beautiful.
26:56The lives they lived in New York City, the clothes, the cars, the apartments, the restaurants.
27:02We were talking about that one of the, the Indian restaurant where they had their first
27:07date is now reservation surged 70% or something and it has all these crazy, beautiful lights.
27:15It's certainly not a discreet place for a celebrity to go on a first date, but it's just great that
27:19like a real restaurant featured in the show in New York City is having a moment.
27:24Yeah, definitely.
27:25And think, you know, there's so much positivity coming from the show.
27:27So that's exciting.
27:28It is.
27:28I feel like back to the Gen Z, like not knowing how the ending is.
27:31I mean, personally, I, I knew.
27:33I was like, let me decide what you call, let me decide what you call.
27:36But I feel like maybe work my generation is kind of getting that through Jack Schlossberg.
27:41Like he's our JFK Jr.
27:42Well, he is obviously JFK's grandson, but like, I feel like that he's like our Kennedy,
27:48if that makes sense.
27:49So I feel like through him, I'm now interested in the Kennedy dynasty.
27:52He has, he actually is running as a congressman in my district.
27:55But yeah.
27:56New York 12.
27:57Yeah, New York 12.
27:58He's got your vote.
27:58He's, I mean, what can I say?
28:02I mean, gotta love him.
28:04I'm excited to see how he does.
28:06I mean, he's hilarious on social media and he definitely looks a lot like his uncle.
28:11He really does.
28:11And also, I find it very interesting.
28:12He's kind of following in JFK Jr.'s path because JFK Jr. did, was very into publications.
28:17And during the election, he was the correspondent for Vogue.
28:20Yeah.
28:21So, I mean, he's, he's going, he's going down that road.
28:24He's keeping the family dynasty alive.
28:26Oh, yeah.
28:27We'd love to see it.
28:28Love it.
28:28Love it.
