00:0026 years since this house has had a facelift, like what am I gonna do now?
00:03We're not gonna make it Disney oriented, so we're gonna make it look really good for Taylor Finkie-Paul.
00:15Okay, Tyler Cameron and Tayshia Adams, Bachelor Mansion Takeover on HGTV.
00:19What a joy it is to have you both back on screen in this way.
00:22Thank you for having us.
00:23Of course, of course. How fun has it been to be back within like the Bachelor Nation family?
00:28It's like y'all never left.
00:33We were a little sudden to go back, should we say that.
00:36It's so much fun to be back, you know, like being back in the mansion for the first time after
00:40what has been six years.
00:41Yeah, you know, it's like all the old memories started to come up and like things you forgot because it
00:45was such a blur.
00:46And to be back in it was super nostalgic and then the city transformation has been crazy.
00:52Yeah, I didn't have my season there, so it took me all the way back to Colton's season.
00:56And it was very memorable for her.
00:58Which, I did get a little PTSD, had a little goosebumps, especially in the interview room.
01:04Oh no.
01:05Yeah, and then walking throughout the house, I don't know, it was just like, it felt like so long ago.
01:10It was so long ago, but I was such a different person then.
01:13We have to sage some things too.
01:15Believe me, we saged it during that season as well, so it did need a little more saging.
01:19Y'all had a lot of work to do because I didn't realize how like dilapidated the Bachelor Mansion was.
01:24Dilapidated.
01:24And you had to get it ready for Taylor Frankie Paul's Bachelorette season, so a lot was riding on this
01:30series.
01:31Yeah.
01:32Do you feel like we got to a good place before Taylor walked in the building?
01:35Better than I thought it was going to be.
01:36Yeah, way better.
01:38I mean, that place needed a lot.
01:39I was like 26 years of not being touched.
01:41Nothing.
01:42All I did was just repaint it every year.
01:44And it's not even a cute color.
01:46No.
01:46It was like the most, I mean, the entryway was mustard yellow.
01:49It was like walking into McDonald's.
01:51The living room was eggplant purple, and the other room was emerald green.
01:54So there was no cohesiveness at all throughout the entire house.
01:58No.
01:58It was really bad.
01:59It needed a lot of work.
02:00I do like that everybody who runs apartments in New York City can relate to like,
02:04because that's the landlord special, they'll just paint it a bad color.
02:06It's like, now it's $500,000 more, yeah.
02:08I even think they painted over some cockroaches.
02:10You know what I mean?
02:10Oh my god.
02:11We uncovered a lot when we took those down.
02:13So Bachelor alums are coming together to compete for a $100,000 cash prize,
02:19which is amazing.
02:19Excited for all of them.
02:21But how do you, because you two are the judges, and you're giving these guys the chop week after week.
02:26How do you figure out if someone sucks at this or not?
02:29Like, I mean, how are we judging them?
02:30Well, sometimes they really made it easy for us.
02:32Oh.
02:33That is true.
02:34Oh no, like in what ways?
02:35Sometimes there were some bad reveals.
02:37But sometimes there were some really, really good reveals that made very tough decisions.
02:41Some people didn't work well with each other.
02:42Because it wasn't just the design.
02:44We also judged them based on their teamwork, their execution, which Tyler was all about.
02:51Like being like, do you see this?
02:52And just would knock something over.
02:54Yeah.
02:55Craftsmanship was big.
02:56Craftsmanship was big.
02:58Let's see.
02:59Just being outside of the box.
03:01We also wanted them to push it.
03:03You know, we wanted someone to bring something different to the Bachelor Mansion, so we gave
03:06points for that.
03:06Okay.
03:07But if we didn't land it though, we definitely didn't get points.
03:10And I am curious too, because of course, this show, it rides around redesigning the house,
03:13giving it, or the mansion, giving it like a refresh.
03:16How are, do your guys' personal designs, like preferences overlap?
03:20Or are you guys vastly different?
03:22I think we're kind of different.
03:24Yes.
03:25Very different, as you can tell.
03:27Well, we made you take the feathers off, so not Max.
03:28Yes, true.
03:29Right.
03:30He's a little bit, I don't know.
03:31I feel like you kind of, what's your style?
03:34I'd say my style is more like the traditional colonial kind of version.
03:37Like I like a lot of stuff happening, maximalism in a sense.
03:40So I see a lot of things like this.
03:42All right.
03:42If it wasn't, you know, set like a girl's 21st bedroom, you know, this would be great.
03:49Don't lie.
03:49You know your bedroom's pink.
03:52But I like a lot of stuff going on that has character and story to it.
03:55And I'm a little bit more of like a modern minimalist, if you will.
03:59Like, I like really clean lines.
04:02So we wouldn't work out.
04:03No.
04:03But that's what I'm wondering.
04:04Do you guys kind of get into moments on the show where you're like, oh, I love that.
04:07You're like, why do you love that?
04:09For sure.
04:09Oh, absolutely.
04:10There was like times where I was like, Tyler, that it's so bad.
04:13He's like, no, I love it.
04:14Okay, whatever.
04:15Exactly.
04:15We had a lot of that, actually.
04:17Yeah.
04:17And then also coming like together on deciding even like who to eliminate.
04:21Like, sometimes we agree.
04:22Sometimes we don't agree.
04:23And sometimes that third judge had to make the decision.
04:26Oh, gotcha.
04:27Do we have some fun guest judges popping in?
04:29We have great guest judges.
04:30Okay, tell us about those.
04:31So we have judges from the HETV world as well as the Bachelor Nation world.
04:36Yeah, we have like Bachelor Nation royalty.
04:38Like, we have JoJo Fletcher that comes back, obviously.
04:41She's very big into design as well and renovations.
04:45Hannah Brown comes in.
04:46She has experience with interior design.
04:50And then as far as HGTV, HG, why can't we say this today?
04:55HGTV people.
04:56We got Nate Berkus, who's incredible.
04:58Oh, she did.
04:59Oh my God, that's really cool.
05:00Christina Hack.
05:01Oh.
05:01Rachel Bilson out of Left Field.
05:04Wow.
05:04Yes.
05:04So random, but she's like the biggest Bachelor Nation fan.
05:06Oh, that's right.
05:07She does love Bachelor Nation.
05:07I'm like such a sweetheart.
05:08She is.
05:09She really is.
05:09She was so cool.
05:10And honestly, she was just in like Starstruck the whole time she was there.
05:14It's cute.
05:14Wait, also, why do I feel like I need Christina Hack to be the Bachelorette?
05:17Because she, well, I think she has a man right now.
05:18She's engaged, I think, right?
05:19Or she's with somebody.
05:20She's with someone at the moment.
05:21She's with someone.
05:22Oh, yes.
05:22That's a good call, though.
05:24Yeah, she'd be a great one.
05:25Oh my God, that'd be a lot of fun.
05:26That would be a great one.
05:28I know, right?
05:28We're constantly thinking who should be next.
05:30Oh, wait.
05:30Who else is on the tip of your tongue?
05:31Who do you think?
05:33Rob Roush would be a good Bachelor.
05:35I also think Robert Irwin would be a really good one.
05:38Robert Irwin would be a good one.
05:39Yes, please make that happen.
05:40Because he's like an America's Feetheart.
05:41Totally.
05:42For The Bachelorette, I've always thought, like, after picking Taylor, Frankie Paul, maybe
05:46a Nader sister would be really fun.
05:48Can you imagine Brooke Snader?
05:50A Brooke Snader season would be diabolical.
05:52That would be absolutely wild.
05:52She's in the Hulu family, so.
05:53Oh, yeah.
05:54Oh, and then also instead of producers, it's just her sisters who, I don't know if you watched
05:57this out, they are so funny with each other.
05:59They really are.
06:00Because they rip each other apart in the best way.
06:02So they'd be like, oh my god, why would you date my sister?
06:03She's like, and they would, it happened.
06:05I actually need that.
06:06Truly no filter, but like in the best way.
06:08You're on something there.
06:09Speaking of no filter, there is a moment in the preview where you're talking about
06:11it's giving Toy Story.
06:12I feel like you're pretty ruthless in judging your contestants' work.
06:18I mean, tell us about that, Tayshia.
06:20I'm kind of here for it.
06:21Well, like, it's not going to help anybody to sugarcoat things, right?
06:24That's true.
06:25But also at the same time, like, I want the best outcome at the house.
06:28Like, I want to, you know, see, it's been how long?
06:3126 years since this house has had a facelift.
06:33Yeah.
06:34Like, what am I going to do now?
06:35We're not going to make it Disney-oriented, so we're going to make it look really good
06:39for Taylor, Frankie Paul, and all the contestants on there.
06:42Because, like, I just know how important that house is and, like, how that sticks in all
06:45of your memories.
06:45It really is a historical, like, it has a place in history.
06:49It's an iconic house.
06:49No, totally.
06:50I found an issue with Brooke Nader's cast, though.
06:52Oh, tell us.
06:53We wouldn't be able to find enough rich people to cast.
06:55Oh.
06:55Because usually, if you go on the show, you're not really having a job, a la me.
06:59Do you know what I mean?
07:01I feel like she might-
07:03I guess Brooke's gonna be the sugar mama.
07:03Yeah, I feel like she might like that.
07:05No.
07:06I don't see that everywhere.
07:07She's not going to.
07:08I just saw her post on some yacht.
07:09I love Brooke with my girl, okay?
07:11Have you been able to connect with Brooke's being a girl in the city?
07:13Are you kind of, are you friendly with Brooke's and the Nader sisters?
07:16Oh, yeah.
07:16Oh my god, that's fun.
07:16I see her out about all the time.
07:17Oh, we love them so much.
07:18We love them and we love Grace Ann.
07:20Oh, Grace is great.
07:21Every single one is such an icon.
07:23I'm the best.
07:23Yeah.
07:24Oh my god, okay, so maybe not Brooke's.
07:26Okay, maybe not Brooke's because that is an issue.
07:27I like, they're like, Brooke's Nader needs a rich man.
07:28Christina Hacken.
07:30Wait, who else has been here that you think would be a good bachelorette?
07:33I don't know, because I feel like what's great now is we can pluck from the Hulu Disney
07:39reality universe that continues to expand, so that's why I think the Naders feel so correct.
07:44The Naders would be fun.
07:45I know, I'm trying to think of fun girlies.
07:48It's hard to think.
07:48Yeah, because also someone who's, because like doing the show you have to be really open to dating
07:53and kind of showing all sides of you and everything like that, which is I feel sometimes
07:57well watch someone on a reality show date.
07:58I'm like, oh, you can't do this professionally.
08:01For any of the single contestants on Bachelor Mansion Takeover, did we sense any sparks flying?
08:06Does that happen?
08:07Really?
08:07Not at all?
08:08Nothing?
08:09Just on the saws.
08:10Okay.
08:11I really thought about that.
08:12Well, I don't think there was anyone single.
08:14Oh, everyone's coupled up?
08:14No, I feel like everybody was kind of.
08:15Everyone's in a relationship.
08:17Gotcha.
08:17Yeah.
08:17It'd be a fun way to meet, though.
08:19I was hoping for that to happen, but everyone was like, nope, they're dating, they're dating,
08:23they're dating, so.
08:24Is there anyone from the Bachelor Nation world who you thought would have been really cool
08:27to be on this series, but you know, timing didn't work out or like anyone you wish would
08:31have been?
08:31I would have loved to seen Kelsey Anderson.
08:33I don't think many people know she has a construction background.
08:36I didn't know either.
08:36So she used to like build like with a huge firm.
08:39So that would have been interesting to see.
08:41Who else?
08:43I would have loved to seen Jojo.
08:45Jojo, Hannah, get it in the mix, you know?
08:49Yeah.
08:49Wait, and also because I mean, you are a real estate boy through and through.
08:53We saw you pop up with Sarhan a lot, everything like that.
08:56Have you been getting, because doing the show with Tyler, have you been getting the bug to
08:59kind of like jump into that bag more?
09:01You know, so I worked at an interior design firm while, like right before Colton's season.
09:09Oh.
09:09So I had the bug way back when.
09:12I've always loved architecture and whatnot.
09:14But I feel like now that I'm back in the mix, it's like a passion of mine that I really
09:18love.
09:18Right now I'm going to be working on my own apartment.
09:20So you'll probably see a little bit more of that, but why not?
09:23I feel like I should.
09:24You should, definitely.
09:26Look how you dress.
09:26I know, I feel like you have a good eye, Tayshia.
09:29Are you loving being in the city?
09:31Are you so happy here?
09:32I'm obsessed with it.
09:32Yeah.
09:32I'm obsessed with it.
09:33Like, people ask all the time, like, are you going to go back to California?
09:35I'm like, for what?
09:36I mean, maybe the weather.
09:37Yeah, the weather's nice.
09:38But like, nothing is like New York.
09:40And I feel like my personality is just like so different here.
09:43I just have so much more fun.
09:44Like in what way?
09:44Like, do you think I would wear this in Orange County, California?
09:47I would encourage it.
09:48Absolutely not.
09:49I think it would be, it could be a vibe, you know?
09:51Everyone's still in Javianas.
09:52I've moved on.
09:54I've moved on.
09:55I think you're an East Coast girl.
09:56I really think I am too.
09:57You have an East Coast girl.
09:58I do really miss the sun though.
10:00Yeah.
10:01Well, that's why you have Florida for.
10:02You should just start doing the back and forth.
10:03I know.
10:04Who knows?
10:05Maybe I'll be a Miami, Miami, New York girl.
10:08You can have Miami.
10:09I mean, you're loving Florida, right?
10:11Yes.
10:11Okay.
10:11Do you miss New York?
10:12I mean, I know you're here a lot.
10:13This is the best city in the world.
10:14Yeah.
10:15This is the greatest place to be.
10:16Every time I get here, I'm so excited.
10:18I got great friends here, so it literally is the most fun.
10:21But I can only do like two or three days and then I got to get out of here
10:23because then I start to unravel.
10:25It's a lot of energy.
10:27Well, I do love you were even telling us that you had a snowball,
10:29like you were in like a giant snowball fight.
10:31I was.
10:31During the blizzard.
10:32I was.
10:32I love that a Florida boy was seizing that opportunity.
10:35All of us were at home.
10:36I had a snow suit.
10:37Yes.
10:37I'm like, I'm not getting out of my bed.
10:39I'm in my robe.
10:39Built a 14-foot snowman.
10:41I was in it.
10:42We were bringing the spirit out, you know?
10:45And it was so much fun because everyone was so together during that.
10:48And New York City was thriving in that moment.
10:50Yeah, that's beautiful.
10:51Whenever I think of Tyler Cameron in New York City,
10:53I do think of you and Matt James and how you guys used to live together.
10:56What's the friendship like today?
10:58Because I feel like a lot of people on social media do kind of wonder
11:00about where you two stand, especially after that post with Rachel Kirkconnell.
11:04Yeah.
11:04I mean, it's custody battle.
11:06You know, having divorced parents is tough, you know?
11:08So it's like, you know, every other weekend I get Matt,
11:10you know, when our schedules line up.
11:12This weekend I was on Matt's schedule, so I was able to, you know,
11:16build a snowman and throw a snowball.
11:18It was great father-son activities, you know?
11:20That is beautiful.
11:21And then Rachel comes around.
11:23You know, it's good to have two parents that love me still.
11:26Okay, that's good.
11:27You know, the holidays are the holidays.
11:28Exactly.
11:29You'll figure out how to give you those up.
11:30Whoever gets Thanksgiving gets Thanksgiving.
11:31It'll get interesting then, you know, we'll see.
11:33Yeah.
11:33Wait, speaking of reunions, really quickly.
11:35That big bachelorette reunion was so crazy, Keisha.
11:37I know.
11:38Like, the photos and the content and everything that came out of that,
11:40I'm so excited to see what that turns out being.
11:43But, like, what was it like reuniting with a bunch of women
11:45who maybe some of them you haven't even met?
11:47I haven't met a lot of bachelorets because, you know,
11:49my season was during COVID.
11:52So there is probably, like, three or four that I've actually met in person.
11:55Oh, my God.
11:56And so that was, like, a really surreal moment.
11:58Like, we all, like, know each other, but we don't know each other.
12:02Because, like, social media, we're so clicky.
12:03And then also at the same time, like, we have the bachelorette group chat.
12:06So we're kind of, like, in communication,
12:08but seeing them in person was so cool.
12:09And then also being in the bachelor mansion with all of them.
12:11Is there a bachelor group chat, too?
12:13Or is it just you girls having that?
12:15It's just the bachelorette.
12:16Oh, just the girls.
12:17You know, we're the ones that have the real tea, anyway.
12:20You know?
12:21Yeah, I could only imagine what's going on in that chat.
12:24And I'm curious, for this show, were you ever designing it thinking
12:27of Taylor Frankie Paul being the upcoming bachelorette?
12:29Or were you, like, this just has to stand the test for all?
12:32Absolutely.
12:33You've got to make things, like, really moody.
12:34I mean, do you want to make out with somebody, like, on a comfortable love seat?
12:39Yeah, yeah.
12:40Or, like, for two, or, like, you know?
12:41Oh, I might need more space, yeah.
12:42Yeah, versus just, like, a little seat like that.
12:44Imagine trying to, like, lean over and, like...
12:45It'd be too many GLP-1s for that.
12:47You know, it has, like, the vibe.
12:51I was looking out for her.
12:52I love that.
12:53Yeah, what I'm trying to think about what her...
12:54We definitely did some more outdoor showers,
12:56so we could get some shower scenes of her and the guys, you know?
12:58I love her, one last, and more of the guys.
13:02I love the guys.
13:02Yeah, thank God for the guys, that's what our shower is.
13:04Yeah, we do love that.
13:05Are you guys so excited for Taylor Frankie Paul, though?
13:07Are you Mormon Wives fans?
13:08I have been watching the show with my girlfriend, and it is nuts.
13:12I've actually never seen it.
13:12Like, how they find these people is incredible.
13:15What?
13:15And how it's crazy when you see them.
13:17Yeah.
13:17Wait, Tayshia's never seen Mormon Wives.
13:19So how did you sort of do your research to figure out Taylor's vibe,
13:23like, going into The Bachelor?
13:24It's the same way that I want somebody to kind of, like, not have a preconceived notion of who I
13:29am.
13:29Oh, no, that's actually really smart, though.
13:31Like, I just wanted to meet her for her.
13:32Yeah, yeah, yeah.
13:33Meet her where she's at.
13:34Oh, so you had a moment with her.
13:35You do get to meet her.
13:37Oh.
13:37Oh, well, you met at The Bachelorette reunion.
13:39Yes, you did see that.
13:40Did you meet her before then?
13:41Yes, I did, I did.
13:41Okay, okay.
13:42And what did you think of her in person?
13:43I thought she's the cutest thing.
13:44She's so fun.
13:45She was definitely wearing Crocs.
13:46Yeah.
13:46Okay.
13:47Shout out.
13:47How do you feel about that?
13:48With the dress, not my choice, but you know what?
13:51Not a New Yorker.
13:51Let the girl be comfortable.
13:53Yes.
13:53Let her do you.
13:54Right.
13:54And, um, yeah, she was super sweet.
13:58And she was just, like, trying to absorb it all.
13:59Like, her eyes were just, like, so big.
14:01And she was so excited to meet us all, so it was really cool.
14:03Oh, I love that.
14:03That is really cool.
14:04But yeah, no, haven't seen it, but you love it.
14:06Yeah, incredible show.
14:07It's amazing.
14:08So I'm excited to see what kind of drama she stirs up.
14:11Like, I mean, not even hers.
14:12I feel like all the guys are going to be all over her.
14:15We were looking at all the guys that are going to be all over her.
14:17Studs.
14:19And I love all the reels they're making.
14:21Those are intros.
14:22Yeah.
14:22Very fun.
14:23Like, we're having some fun.
14:24I think Taylor freaking Paul is changing the way, like, they do the digital media and everything.
14:28They've got to step it up.
14:29Yeah.
14:30Because she's like a social media superstar.
14:31Yeah.
14:32They've got to match her energy.
14:33So it's been fun to see.
14:35Oh, oh my God.
14:35Do you think she's, like, critiquing and seeing if their editing skills are like...
14:38I bet you she is.
14:39She's probably like, should I go back to that guy now?
14:42She's sitting in her props writing notes.
14:44Yeah.
14:44She's like, who will be good at making TikToks with me?
14:46Yeah.
14:47That's part of dating a montage.
14:49I heard that's one of the group dates, actually.
14:50They all do TikToks.
14:51I'm just kidding.
14:52I'm just kidding.
14:53Oh my God.
14:53You never know.
14:54They're TikTok all the time.
14:55That's a good point.
14:56That's a good thing for compatibility, I guess.
14:58And the baseball guy does TikToks on it.
14:59I forget his name in the upcoming season.
15:01He was cute, though.
15:02He was cute.
15:02Yeah.
15:03Baseball guys usually are.
15:04Yeah, right?
15:05I know.
15:05You know, they're always in trouble.

15:07Who knows?
15:07I know.
15:09But guys, thank you so much for stopping by and rescheduling for us.
15:11As we were stuck in the snow, we were so excited for this season.
