00:00For you, who's someone in your life that early on when you said,
00:03I want to be an actor, they championed that dream and made you feel like this was possible?
00:08Hi, Mom.
00:10My mom is just a wonderful artist herself.
00:18She, yeah, she just really encouraged me to make art.
00:22We had art supplies in our pantry.
00:26She really taught us that art is for everybody, and you don't need permission to make anything.
00:31You can just go to the pantry and make something from the art supplies there.
00:35So, yeah, my mom, thank you, Mom, for watching.
00:39She's an amazing person and has just really always believed in me and celebrated me.
00:46I love that.
00:47I feel like you can't make it without that person.
00:50Yeah.
00:50Yeah, and I was a shy tomboy, and she really did say, like, sing out, Louise,
00:55and I also was a reluctant dancer, and so she paid me 50 cents a week to go to my
01:04dance classes,
01:05which I'm so grateful for now.
01:07I love dancing, and it was a great way to learn that I could earn a living from my art.
01:15That's amazing.
01:16What job do you feel like it was that when you booked it, you're like,
01:20okay, I feel like I can make a living from this.
01:22This is going to work out.
01:23Oh, wow.
01:26You know, I don't know if there was one job.
01:29Like I said, my mom, like, set me up with a lot of great tools.
01:32I was a, we had a face painting business together when I was a teenager,
01:37and it's how I earned money when I first moved to New York.
01:39So even in between jobs, you know, I would be painting kids' faces at the Central Park Zoo
01:47or the Knicks games, and that's really how I paid for my groceries mostly while I was auditioning
01:55and slowly building my acting career.
02:01I love that.
02:02And you're here tonight with Severance.
02:04Have you seen any scripts for Season 3?
02:06Can you say anything?
02:09Once we read the scripts, they immediately sever us, so I can't tell you anything.
02:14That's a great answer.
02:15I really like that.
02:16It's a cop-out, but I can't say anything, unfortunately.
02:20But, of course, last season ended on a huge cliffhanger for Helly.
02:24What do you hope happens for her in the next season or just any other, you know, challenges
02:29that you'd love to tackle?
02:31Because last season, I feel like, was a huge challenge.
02:34It was a huge challenge.
02:35It was an amazing gift that the writers gave me to get to play all of these different parts
02:40of the same person, and then I was, I got to be like a DJ.
02:43I was like playing one soundtrack, then playing the other person's soundtrack,
02:47and then playing that person trying to play the other person's soundtrack
02:50and doing, like, a bad cover of it.
02:53So I'm excited for more DJing, and I'm also really,
02:58I'm really hoping that Helly gets to take a nap.
03:01She's never slept before.
03:05So.
03:06That's so true.
03:07Sleeping.
03:08And finally, I'm asking everyone here tonight, the Oscars are coming up.
03:12As a fan of actors and films, who are you rooting for for Best Picture at the Oscars?
03:16There are so many extraordinary films this year.
03:22Hamnet really touched my heart.
03:26Train Dreams.
03:28There's so many, though.
03:29I mean, it's really hard to choose.
03:31This is really a, I don't know, feels like a celebration more than a competition,
03:36as far as I'm concerned.
03:37And we're all, we're all here living our 14-year-old dream.
03:42And so nice to, to get to look across the way
03:45and see people you have admired and adored for so long.
03:49And, yeah.
