00:00Welcome back to another Luana Team Mod review. Today we are looking at the Player Vault mod,
00:05which adds per-player vaults that you can put stuff into, and actually administrators,
00:13or anybody with the, I think it's Player Vault Admin, can also look at players' vaults,
00:18which, I'll be honest, I don't really understand exactly what the point of that is, but I guess
00:25it's handy to have. So, we will start by just a quick demonstration here. Just, you know,
00:32gotta make my little sword real quick. Actually, it would have made more sense to make, like,
00:36a, well, not that, a pickaxe, but okay, that's fine. I guess we'll just chop leaves. So, you
00:44know, we've all been there. We've been exploring, minding our own business, when suddenly, bam,
00:51out of nowhere, out of nowhere, we fall into water, or more likely a monster attacks, or
00:59we fall into lava, because water honestly isn't a huge hazard, but it was the closest hazard
01:05I had for this demonstration. And we can't get out of the water, because we can't swim
01:09to the surface for some reason. So, we're going to pull up our vault real quick. Let me throw
01:14my sword in there, all my valuables that I don't want to lose. I can probably pull the
01:18dirt and the stone sword out of, and you don't want me to pull that out, but I really need
01:21those to leave. I'm going to go ahead and close my vault, and I'm going to run for my
01:26life here, trying to not die, you know, trying to ward off the imminent danger that I face.
01:32It takes a really long time to die of suffocation, turns out. But yeah, so we just need to die
01:39from suffocation, or from any other malady? Is that the correct pronunciation? I believe
01:49that's correct pronunciation. Basically, we just need something to kill us.
01:54Oh no! We died! That's such a tragedy! Oh no! How horrible! Well, fortunately, I do know
02:03where my stuff is. But more so, we have the player vault, which we can open with the check
02:07command PV, and then the number of the vault. If you run it without a number, it'll just
02:12tell you the usage is PV, and you need to include a number. I have one vault, so I'll do
02:18PV1.
02:19I can get my sword back, my most important of items, and now I can go out and search for
02:26my bones. Which, I don't want to do that in the dark. So we're going to go ahead and make
02:31it daytime.
02:33I think I'm heading the wrong direction, actually. Yeah, here we go. This is probably it. It should
02:38be a little canyon with... Yeah, yeah, that's it. Okay. Going the right way now. We'll just run over here.
02:47And I expect... Well, that's kind of weird. My items didn't go into bones. Interesting.
03:01That is not typical. This mod does not change whether your items drop into bones or not.
03:10So I am very confused as to why that happened. But you can see I have my items back. Of
03:16course,
03:17after death, we already saw, whoops, that I still had my vault. I pulled items out of my vault. Now
03:24that I have my other items back, I will put my necessities back into the vault. You know,
03:29maybe some food, some weapons, some tools, some armor, whatever. Things, you know, backups pretty much.
03:34So if something were to happen to you and you lost all your items because you died, you can just
03:39open
03:39up your personal vault and grab the items back out that you stashed in your vault earlier. And you
03:46pretty much don't have to start over from square one. And now you can hopefully get your stuff back
03:54without, you know, again, starting over from square one. That's pretty much it, honestly. As I believe I
04:01mentioned, administrators and anybody with the player vault admin, I believe it is, privileges,
04:10can view other players' vaults. Because I'm in single player, I really can't demonstrate that.
04:16But I do believe, if we look at the help here, actually it just says open vault for yourself or
04:22another player of admin. Oh, so I guess you would put the player name after you put the number for
04:28opening in other players. So you can see what other players had in their vaults.
04:32I don't know if you can take the stuff out of their vaults or not, but you can only see
04:35what
04:36they have in their vaults. I don't know the use case for that, but I suppose it's a handy thing
04:40to
04:40have. And that, honestly, that's going to wrap it up. That's all there is to it. Simple mod.
04:48But it does, you know, it follows that whatever philosophy. Do one thing and do it well.
04:51It does one thing. It does it well. Only minor nitpick is the close button is behind this
04:57form spec slot. The horror. The tragedy. That could be a screen resolution thing. I don't know.
