00:26supposed to get a room full of 50 you know 30 year old major leaguers to try to laugh at

00:32and my dad's not even laughing at it so a little concerning but no it uh it worked out and

00:38think everything went about as smoothly as it could it was a full multimedia thing i mean you had a
00:43whole slideshow yeah yeah i mean yeah it was film clips i don't think i've ever worked that hard
00:48on a presentation they uh like i might maybe coach morgan's oh sophomore year history class we might
00:55have done something like it but that's about it so uh it was a pretty uh yeah it was a

02:32bit all right well we can get on to baseball uh one and two thirds here yesterday for you you

02:38feel pretty good yeah i mean uh yesterday was kind of a i'll say it a rocky one uh they

02:45some fastballs up top rail that i've been trying to work on they they didn't really uh fish on any
02:52of the breaking balls down low um you know you look at the change up reps yesterday they weren't
02:56great uh but it's stuff you know as i continue to throw these off-speed pitches i learn more about
03:03them so um you know we're back to the back to working on it this week and showed some great
03:09speed
03:10getting over on the uh dribbler that was one of the more athletic things that i've done in a while
03:14uh i i try to do some athletic throws every day but nothing like that i turned around i was
03:21like
03:21man i got to this quick so so we uh but it was it was a it was a good
03:27play i'll take it i'll say it's
03:29a good play camp is so different this year it feels so light it feels you know i i don't
03:33know if it's
03:34similar to for you but it just feels not speaking about anybody else it feels like you guys are just
03:39sort of having fun no drama getting ready for the season yeah i mean i think that the guys here
03:44the i've seen the multiple times the vibes are never higher so like we're just we're here having
03:50a good time we have a great group of guys great young group of guys that love to have fun
03:56we know
03:56baseball is a game and um but we're also very serious and locked in about what we have to do
04:04our job
04:04to do and so um you know and i think we have spots that are competitive and that helps out
04:11with that
04:11um of every every week every day of showing up every day and everybody's trying to give it their
04:17best so it's exciting it's a whole lot of fun it makes coming to the field um you know for
04:23me i
04:25having knowing guys from last year coming into the spring i'm more comfortable walk into the clubhouse
04:33see everybody good morning good morning good morning it's like um the environment is a lot
04:38uh different than what i thought it was going to be so it's it's been a good time what what
04:43are you
04:43expecting from this spring training from yourself to prove so what type of role you can have on this
04:52baseball team what what do you want to show alex core and the rest of these coaches here's the role
04:57that i can bring to this team during the regular season yeah i mean i think that i just need
05:02to
05:02come out and throw strikes is probably the biggest thing of throw strikes get outs and at the end of
05:09the day is like it's like what did i do today to put the red socks in the best spot
05:15to win every day
05:16um and so i'm you know working hard at that uh trying to learn everything that i can and then
05:22you know focus on myself because you know all the outside noise and stuff it it doesn't help me do
05:29anything so um but yeah just trying to show up every day be the same person every day too because
05:36i think that goes a long way of being a being a clubhouse guy so trying to be a guy
05:40um that
05:41everybody you know i like to try to talk to everybody throughout the day try to be a nice guy
05:47i try so
05:48i guess it's uh i think that goes a long way about trees yeah i have not have you discussed
05:53trees with
05:54him at all i haven't indulged in that yet we had 20 minutes from him on trees and i feel
05:59like we
06:00were being trolled which i like yeah or is he really that into trees i wouldn't be surprised if
06:05he's really that into trees really i i haven't been able to get too much uh too much tree talk
06:11with
06:12him but i hear him talk about fish talk about golf i mean of course talk about baseball it's like
06:16i wouldn't be surprised if he knows everything about what a what a birch fur is doing out there so
06:22japanese maple is his favorite that was his favorite i was like is that the one from karate
06:27kid do you ever want to yell at roman anthony be like you're roman anthony why aren't you acting
06:32like it oh i mean i i every i'm pretty close to every day i'm like it's roman anthony it's
06:39a two-name
06:39guy right he's he's not roman or he's not anthony he's roman anthony so um you know i make sure

06:45knows that but uh i think it's good to you know he's an incredibly humble guy he's he's got every
06:53reason to be a dink yes but he's the greatest yeah and he everybody likes to be around him and
07:03you know i think he's 21 years old i think that's that's special for uh somebody who's had his success
07:12at that young age is like to not be caught up in all of it like that's really it's impressive
07:19so
07:19um yeah it's it's roman anthony and if anybody ever calls him roman or anthony they're wrong so
07:28wiggy has nicknamed you i don't know how you feel about it but but wiggy gave you that wiggy played

07:41nicknamed you the big stash okay yeah do you like it or do you have it do you have a
