CTP (S3E141) From Celebrity Buzz To Civic Hope: Why A Public Engagement Might Nudge A Me-First Culture Toward Maturity;
Exploring more of the fascinating intersection of Activism, Community Engagement, Faith / Religion, Human Nature, Politics, Social Issues, and beyond
We revisit the headline-grabbing Kelsey–Swift engagement and rethink a knee-jerk reaction, asking what their influence might model about maturity, reciprocity, and grace. We pivot from cynicism to optimism, arguing that public commitments can nudge culture toward responsibility and hope.
• why a celebrity engagement can signal cultural shifts
• owning an emotional knee-jerk and course-correcting
• influence as leverage toward maturity and reciprocity
• the power of grace across political lines
• optimism as discipline, not naivety
• American dream framed as commitment and service
• directing attention toward redemption instead of outrage
• links to articles with deeper reflections

00:00Hello, welcome to another episode of Perstitutionalist Podcast.
00:06I am your host, Joseph M. Leonard.
00:09That's L-E-N-A-R-D at the French.
00:13It's not, it's Leonard without an O.
00:17Thank you for tuning in, as Graham Norton used to say, on his show.
00:24Let's get on with the show!
00:26A bit of a quasi-bonus show, really a flashback show.
00:34I know the NFL season is over, and Taylor Swift has even been kind of quiet lately.
00:43But a flashback to the Kelsey-Swift engagement.
00:50Originally did that a while ago.
00:52I think it is worth re-looking at, again, what it says about broader, greater society.
01:03It's not necessarily only about Kelsey or Swift.
01:09There are broader societal implications potentially in play here.
01:18So, let's take a look back at that.
01:22Hello, gang.
01:23I'm going to try to make this brief.
01:25This is going to be a BitChute exclusive.
01:29That's right.
01:30Only to be seen or heard here on BitChute.
01:33Okay?
01:33Kelsey and Swift.
01:36How many shows, how many articles have I written about not being an emotional, hysterical snowflake?
01:45And what did I do when it was announced Kelsey and Swift for getting married, or are engaged?
01:55I reacted like an emotional, hysterical snowflake.
01:59My first response, which indeed still holds true to a degree.
02:04People whining about millionaires and billionaires.
02:06We got a billionaire going to marry a millionaire.
02:10This has no effect whatsoever on 99.99999% of people's lives.
02:18That remains true.
02:20However, did I not just write a book, the book of Kennedy, about not being part of the massholes crowd
02:29and reacting negatively to everything and putting forth negativity and therefore you, through karma, usually get negativity back?
02:39You must put out good to get good, so good, to reap good?
02:44What about the good side of this, potentially?
02:47I've said over and over, and in fact, in the book of Kennedy, I talk about the 60s hippies crowd.
02:53Me, me, me, me, me, all about me generation.
02:56Which gave way when they grew up, got older and realized it wasn't all and only about them to the
03:02Jesus revolution.
03:03And we're seeing that again now.
03:05You know, the good that could come from this.
03:08Because like it or not, Swift has influence.
03:12Maybe others will see that Swift finally grew up, finally realized it isn't all and only about her.
03:21That perhaps a relationship is give and take.
03:25It's never perfect.
03:26It isn't all about her and what she gets from it and what others can provide and give to her.
03:33The world revolves around her.
03:35And if people that she has influence over see maybe she grew up, finally, maybe they'll grow up, too.
03:44Some good could come out of this.
03:46On True Social, somebody said, hey, we're a real Donald Trump.
03:49Wouldn't it be cool if Kelsey and Swift got married at Mar-a-Lago?
03:54Well, that's actually a good idea.
03:57Use it to bring good, right?
04:00Because Swift endorsed the Kamalianist.
04:04Trump today on the news of this says he wishes her all the best.
04:08Great.
04:09Maybe finally we can have bygones and come together.
04:13Wouldn't it indeed be great if they got married at Mar-a-Lago or had the reception at Mar-a
04:18-Lago?
04:19There is good can come from this.
04:23Again, if she's indeed grown up and others see and realize, oh, wow, yeah, she's realizing maybe things were wrong
04:35and bad in her life because of her.
04:37Maybe she grew up.
04:39Maybe she's realizing there's more to everything than just what she gets out of everything.
04:44A relationship is a two-way street.
04:46It's never perfect.
04:48And indeed, maybe all her past relationships were bad because of her.
04:52It was her.
04:53Maybe she's grown up, gotten better.
04:56And others need to see that message.
04:58Life doesn't revolve around them.
05:00Maybe they, too, now have hope and think, oh, the American dream.
05:06Look, these two coming together, maybe going to have a family.
05:11The American dream, maybe two younger people will wake up to, yeah, maybe there's more outside of life than just
05:19me.
05:19Okay, I know I've repeated that a few times now.
05:23So, because I'm grasping for something more to say.
05:27Go to beforeitsnews.com.
05:29I wrote a piece, two pieces there, actually, in the celebrities category and similar something in the Christian news category.
05:37Maybe I misjudged this.
05:39Again, yeah.
05:40Who cares?
05:41This doesn't affect anybody.
05:43Politicians that can really screw over your life.
05:46None of you people are paying attention to, but you're paying attention to this.
05:49So, indeed, maybe something good could come out of this.
05:53I misread this.
05:55I engaged in knee-jerk, emotional, hysteric snowflakeism at first.
06:01I didn't think it through at first.
06:05And now that I'm thinking it through, maybe, I hope, I pray, greater, broader good could come out of this
06:13relationship that otherwise doesn't really have much matter in people's lives.
06:19But they do have influence, and maybe this will shock some people awake to the lessons, or in part, the
06:27lessons in the book of Kennedy.
06:29Put forth good, good comes back to you.
06:32So good to reap good.
06:35Wanting to try to find optimism in life rather than, like, Taylor's past songs about pessimistic about her failed relationships.
06:43Maybe some positivity could come from this.
06:48Let us hope.
06:49Let us pray.
06:50Thank you all for tuning in.
