00:00Luke, why don't you just get us caught up on what it's like to be a PGA Tour pro?
00:05Because last time we spoke, I believe that you were still a Florida State Seminole.
00:10No, it's been good.
00:12Obviously, I think with the travel and everything, it's been a little hectic.
00:17I haven't really liked to slow down, but I think it's been amazing.
00:21I mean, it's every golfer's dream to play on the PGA Tour.
00:24And it's just cool being out there with the pros.
00:29So, you know, obviously I was talking about with you just kind of wanting to get out there and play.
00:33And to be able to call myself a PGA Tour member is pretty cool.
00:37But now, obviously, there's a couple more steps I want to make and do.
00:40And I think it just comes with time.
00:43I think that's a good place to start.
00:45So I think many pros, once they get onto the PGA Tour as a PGA Tour professional, it's a little
00:51different, right?
00:52Like you're playing to get a PGA Tour card as an amateur, you know, have all these goals in front
00:56of you and all these points to chase.
00:58And then when you get your PGA Tour card, you know, all of a sudden, like it's life on the
01:03road, right?
01:03Instead of going back to class.
01:05And last time, I think we spoke on happy hour.
01:07It's like, yeah, I got to go home.
01:09This is at the Sony.
01:10It's like, I got to go do these midterms or whatever it was.
01:13It's like, that sounds terrible.
01:15So I imagine it's nice to be able to 100% focus on golf.
01:19But what's kind of been like just the day-to-day of being a full-time pro for you?
01:25I would definitely say it's funny to say I have a lot more free time on my hands, which is
01:30nuts to say.
01:31But no, I think, you know, traveling week in, week out has been incredible.
01:36I think obviously there's been a little bit bumps in the roads and here and there.
01:40But, you know, again, I think it's just all an experience.
01:42I'm still 22 years old.
01:43So, you know, I look at it as like I'm this vet on tour, but I've only been out there
01:47for seven months.
01:48And I hold myself to very high expectations for what I do.
01:53But, you know, again, I think my day-to-day, it's great.
01:56I mean, I wake up, you know, pretty early still and go the course around 8 a.m.
02:01and practice till about 2.30 and then go work out my guy, Joe Russo.
02:06Yeah, Joe.
02:07Shout out Stallion Fitness.
02:09Shout out Stallion.
02:10And, no, I've been trying to put on a little more weight and get a little bit stronger just because,
02:15you know,
02:15when you're traveling five weeks on the road, your body gets tired.
02:18Yeah.
02:19That's the one thing I realize is like, you know, it's fun to be out there for a week or
02:23two and, you know,
02:23and go back to college and rest for like three weeks.
02:26But when you're traveling five weeks in a row, that fourth week comes around that Monday, Tuesday.
02:31I know I'm young, but it's like, oof, like you're – that practice rounds a little bit slower.
02:35So, no, it's just been a lot of training and a lot of working out and a lot of mental
02:39and it's been really good.
02:41So, what have you noticed the most about other PGA Tour pros, seeing them train week to week?
02:46Just their work ethics, maybe how much time they're spending, whether it be out on the practice range,
02:52on the golf course, what kind of stuff that they were doing in their practice that maybe you've been able
02:57to adopt a little bit,
02:59whether it's their gym routines and just the life of being a professional.
03:03And really, too, have you been able to, you know, talk to any veterans throughout the weeks on just, you
03:11know,
03:11how to be a better professional?
03:13Yeah.
03:14I think everyone's been so supportive.
03:17You know, I joined Bears Club and, you know, there's a lot of pros out there.
03:20And, you know, obviously that first couple weeks out there, I was a little bit nervous to even kind of
03:24go up to those guys and talk to them.
03:26But, you know, they came up to me and, you know, just were communicating.
03:29Like, Camilo Vajegas is a big guy for me and he's always been kind of texting me and making sure
03:33everything's okay with me.
03:34But, you know, I think the coolest thing, which is a little bit weird, we were playing this pro-am
03:39in Las Vegas.
03:40And I went down to gym.
03:42We had this, like, tea time, like 9 a.m.
03:44And I went down to gym early, early.
03:46I woke up early, whatever.
03:47And I saw Justin Rose getting his cup of tea and coffee.
03:52And, you know, later on, I found out about his routine.
03:54And I saw it, you know, always.
03:55I saw him in the gym.
03:56I always saw him recovering.
03:57I always saw this.
03:58It's how disciplined these guys are, you know, week in, week out.
04:02It's not like, you know, they're like, oh, you know, maybe I don't have to do this.
04:05It is so disciplined and so much work ethic every week.
04:09And I think, to me, is you have to love the process of it.
04:13If you don't love the process of waking up and being able to go train, be able to go prep
04:18and do all these things,
04:19and probably still maybe not play well and then have to do it again next week, it's just the discipline
04:24of it, you know.
04:25And I think I love the process of it.
04:29You know, I think, obviously, I got a little bit ahead of myself early, early in the season.
04:33And I wasn't really looking at the bigger picture I was looking at right now.
04:37And to me, like, I love being able to go get better.
04:41You know, even if it's like, you know, some days you're just getting out there and you're like, gosh, I'm
04:46not hitting it well.
04:46But to me, I just love that because I know there's always room to work on.
04:50You know, I love it.
04:50I love it.
