00:00My response to that report is primarily to thank Baroness Amos for the work that she has done and to
00:08thank the people who've worked with her to bring this report forward.
00:12Wes Streeting, Secretary of State for Health, commissioned it and he will respond.
00:16You know, the government will look at this in detail, but this is so concerning.
00:20As constituency MPs, you know, I myself have listened to constituents in my surgery who've experienced poor maternity care and
00:30it breaks your heart.
00:31So I'm glad that Wes commissioned this report and I'm grateful to Baroness Amos for bringing this to light.
00:38We will now respond. We've already put in 800 new midwives to improve services because we couldn't wait for this
00:47report.
00:47And we will look in detail at the findings and take action because we can't have this situation ongoing.
