00:00I want to take you guys back to December. I think it was 7th. You could fact check me out
00:04if you
00:05want. 2025. Let's go back this day in history if we can for a second. And that was Baltimore Ravens
00:12and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Big game, right? Big game. Could help decide who wins that division,
00:20AFC North. I don't want to take it to Isaiah Likely in the end zone. Only a couple minutes
00:24to go. Lamar Jackson looking, looking, looking. Finds Likely. Catches the ball. One foot down.
00:32Two feet down. Ball gets knocked out after the second foot comes down. Touchdown on the field.
00:39Woo-hoo! Ravens are going to beat the Steelers. And then all of a sudden there's a review. All
00:43scoring plays are reviewed. And the NFL replay office tells the referees, no touchdown. The
00:52touchdown is overruled on replay reversal. And everyone's, you remember Tyrone, we're
00:57all yelling and screaming, what's a touchdown? What's a catch? He had two feet down. He had
01:01clear possession. Made a quote-unquote football move by walking. And then the defensive back
01:07for the Steelers, you know, makes contact with the ball, knocks the ball out, and it's
01:10on the ground. But we're celebrating a Ravens touchdown. Troy Vincent came out yesterday,
01:16late yesterday, and said that we want to get things right here. Now, I don't know why they
01:21ever do this. So Troy Vincent came out and said, the Isaiah-likely touchdown should have
01:28been a touchdown. We got it wrong. And I'm saying to myself, excuse me? Now, this is
01:35not like the NBA two-minute thing, where the very next day or that night after NBA action,
01:41the NBA says, here's the calls that went the wrong way or we messed up tonight or last night.
01:46I think they do it the day after. So don't quote me on that. But you get the point.
01:50It's in the moment. It's, game just happened. There was a call that was made or not made.
01:55We review the final two minutes of every game. And we're very transparent about it.
02:00We got every call right. We got this one wrong. We got that one right. And nothing we can do
02:05about
02:05it now. But for those of you that are yelling and screaming about it, we feel you. And we're not
02:10going to put our head in the sands. We're going to acknowledge if our referees get it wrong.
02:14And we're going to also promote them. If they get a call right that you didn't like,
02:18we're going to be honest about that too. I happen to like the two-minute review by the NBA. I
02:23like
02:23how they do it. This one, though, makes no sense to come out, you know, three months later after the
02:29fact and say, we got it wrong. And here's why. If that call was made right. Now, to be fair,
02:37I think there was about two minutes left in the game. So the Steelers, in theory,
02:41could they get the ball back? Say it again, Ethan, how much?
02:452.47 left. Okay. So the Steelers are going to get the ball back. And who knows what they do?
02:50Obviously, you can't predict what's going to happen next. But let's just pretend for a minute
02:55that the Steelers don't score and the Ravens win that game. Do you understand the impact that that
03:02call had, not just on who wins the division, but on last year's postseason? Huge. It's gigantic.
03:11The Giants have a different coach. The Ravens going into the playoffs is a different animal than the Steelers
03:16getting in. Good. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And literally, the domino from that play is what leads to the last
03:24game and the missed field goal, which makes the Giants have Harbaugh as the coach. Harbaugh's likely
03:29still the coach, or at least possibly still the coach, if that happens. Possibly. And if you're
03:34right about New England being as vulnerable as you think they were, and we saw how poor they were
03:40in the playoffs, who's to say the Ravens don't beat that team if they get an opportunity to play
03:44them? And it's a completely different outcome in the AFC playoffs. Right. And I'm with you. I don't
03:49think the New England Patriots get in to the Super Bowl. I'm not sure that the Texans win their
03:55first game. I have to go back. I don't know what the seeding would have been, to be fair,
03:59because everything changes after that as well. But the reality is that the NFL cannot be happy
04:06that Troy Vinson put that tweet out yesterday. And I'm not quite sure why Troy Vinson put it out
04:13like it's bygones. It happened. I've got my opinion. You've got your opinion. I think we're
04:17in lockstep on this one, where I thought it was a catch and a touchdown, and I can't believe they
04:22overturned it. So I think you and I agreed on that this past football season. But the reality
04:27is that the play happened. No one's talking about that play. No one's here a month after
04:33the Super Bowl saying, you know, I got to go back to December. I can't believe that Isaiah
04:38likely touchdown didn't count because we all moved past it. We may not have liked it, but
04:42we pulled up our boots and we said, all right, let's move on to the next. Right. So the other
04:47play that Troy Vinson also said that the NFL got wrong was in the same game. Do you remember
04:55when the Ravens came in on a blitz and they sacked Aaron Rodgers and one of the guys, I
05:01forget the defensive player, I don't know if it looked like he kind of stripped the ball
05:04away from Aaron Rodgers. I guess actually he threw the pass. It was batted back to him.
05:12And then Buchanan wrestled the ball away. Right. And the question was, all right, so
05:19is that Ravens ball? I guess it'd be a fumble, not an interception. Or was that your possession
05:25by Aaron Rodgers, your knees on the ground, Steelers maintained possession. Okay. Well,
05:31we all thought that should have been Ravens ball. And the referees and the replay got that
05:36wrong, apparently. And while they said it was a Rodgers catch, the NFL now says that the
05:41call on the field, which got it right, which was the interception by the Ravens should have
05:46stood. So a few things on this. That means that the Ravens were the rightful winners of
05:52the AFC North, in my opinion. Nothing you can do about it now. It also means that John
05:57Harbaugh might have coached the Ravens into the playoffs. Now I know Steve Biscotti came
06:00out and said that at any point that the Ravens got eliminated, he was going to get rid of Harbaugh
06:06anyway. Easy to say that now, but not easy to say it if the Ravens make it to the playoffs
06:11and win a wild card game.
