00:07North West.
00:08We're all outraged that this would happen to an innocent man.
00:1112 days on from his kidnapping, this morning police descend on the suburb of Pitt Town.
00:16Near a golf course they discover a body believed to be the 85 year old.
00:21Devastated for the community and also for that fellow's family.
00:25I've spoken to the family of Mr Bagzarian and as you can understand they are deeply upset.
00:31Mr Bagzarian was taken from his North Ride home in the early hours of February 13.
00:37Police believe he was then moved to this abandoned home in Dural where a hostage video was filmed.
00:43On Saturday night a stolen car suspected of transporting Mr Bagzarian is seen in nearby Glenory.
00:50Around 9 o'clock police say his body was dumped.
00:53Two days later that car is set alight in Westmead with blood-stained carpet found in the boot.
01:00Detectives have said from day one this was a case of mistaken identity.
01:05Could happen to anybody then once it happened to him.
01:07It's understood the kidnappers intended target was a relative of Sydney businessman Dmitri Stepanian,
01:14a convicted armed robber with alleged links to the Alameddine crime family.
01:18An autopsy will take place to confirm the body found is Mr Bagzarian and a cause of death.
01:25Investigators say their focus now is to find his killers.
01:29An innocent grandfather, the latest victim in Sydney's unrelenting gangland war.
02:18Uh, you know, you've mentioned that he was a one-bosser.
02:18You know, I was fortunate that I got a positive man away from his death.
