00:03Thanks, Nisha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
00:06It's Monday and a dusty one at that.
00:08Here's why. Over the past couple of days, there has been a surge of Saharan dust in the atmosphere,
00:14causing air quality in Trinidad to decline at an unhealthy level.
00:19And tomorrow, dust concentration will be moderate to high and will linger for the rest of the week.
00:25The EMA is one of the possible symptoms, coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness,
00:32eye irritation, runny nose or sore throat and increased asthma attacks.
00:38Persons who may be affected are asked to monitor air quality, stay indoors when levels are high,
00:44use air filtration, wear a protective mask and manage existing conditions.
00:49Also consult your doctor if symptoms increase.
00:52Now that we have that covered, here's what's happening tonight.
00:56Tonight will be fair but hazy as conditions are expected despite a few brisk showers.
01:02We have temperatures at 23 degrees in Trinidad and 24 in Tobago.
01:07And with all the Saharan dust present and expected tomorrow,
01:11conditions will be generally sunny, hazy and breezy,
01:15apart from some brief showers occurring mainly during the morning.
01:19So remember to walk with your masks, umbrellas and sunscreens and go about enjoying the rest of your day.
01:26Maximum temperatures will come in at 31 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago.
01:31Moving on now to our two-day forecast where both Wednesday and Thursday will be sunny,
01:37hazy and breezy despite some brief showers at times.
01:41Both days will have maximum temperatures of 31 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago.
01:46Now if you want to rise with the sun tomorrow, here's when you should set your alarm.
01:52Sun rises at 622 in Trinidad and 620 in Tobago.
01:56And the sun will set at 615 in Trinidad and 611 over in Tobago.
02:01And with hazardous seas discontinued tomorrow, if you're heading for the waters,
02:06seas will be moderate waves, 1.5 meters to 2 meters in open waters and below 1 meter in sheltered
02:13areas.
