00:02Thank you very much, a very special greeting to you and all the viewers of Noticiero Ondino in the rest of the
00:08Mendoza province.
00:10For almost two decades, the neighboring Chilean commune of San Clemente has been promoting its UFO route,
00:18coinciding with the route of the Paso Pehuenche bi-oceanic corridor.
00:22One of its ideologues is Juan Claudio Cerro, who highlighted that Malargue should also join this initiative.
00:31which results in UFO tourism, something highly developed in Chile.
00:37We started in the municipality of San Clemente in 2007,
00:42with a compilation of numerous sightings that occurred in the commune of San Clemente.
00:49We investigated it, we collected it, and that led to a documentary called Witness to Heaven.
00:57which was the first door we opened so that Cernatur could sponsor this first UFO route in Chile.
01:05And now that Malargüe is also becoming part of that route, what does it represent for you, after so many years of
01:11That idea, that project that came to fruition?
01:14Well, there's strength in unity. I believe that this project that Malargüe is going to start promoting,
01:20with the understanding that here too, where we are on the border,
01:25There have been some fairly clear sightings.
01:27There is a photograph that was delivered to the Mayor of Malargue and the Mayor of San Clemente.
01:32I also have that photo, which appears among non-simplified objects,
01:36flying over the summit of Cerro Campanario.
01:39So, therefore, we also consider Laguna del Maule a hotspot for sightings.
01:46And all that this bi-oceanic corridor means, at least from the border,
01:50up to the Colorado sector, where Lake Colbún is located.
01:54And what our icon, brickwork, also represents,
01:57According to the older residents of the Vilche area,
02:02It represents a UFO landing strip.
02:06So, we've been working on this for quite some time now.
02:10And I believe that with this initiative that Malargüe will promote,
02:12It gives us more strength, as a community,
02:17that we begin to work together.
02:20This topic, while interesting, is quite controversial.
02:24But it ceases to be interesting from a tourist perspective.
02:28There are thousands of testimonies, from the last century to the present day,
02:32in the Campanario area, on both sides of the mountain range,
02:35that report sightings.
02:37That's right, there's quite a bit of sighting in this corridor, as I was saying.
02:43And, well, sometimes, as someone said,
02:48We walked looking at the ground.
02:50But it is also important to walk looking upwards, towards the sky.
02:54There's always something new to discover, there's always something new to see.
02:58And not only at night, but also,
03:00Only in a few days can you see non-electrified objects.
03:24And not only that, but it doesn't give them any more.
