01:40Delhi
01:40another chapter of the world's digital future is being written the government's India AI mission is out in
01:48full force we're talking about over 100 billion US dollars in potential investment commitments and
01:55a shared global framework this is where the rules for safe and ethical AI are being hammered out
02:01and India is now a major AI player on the globe
02:24love for all
02:26that
02:29you will look you
02:34as citizens as a
02:34saying
02:34so that,
02:35will be shared, when the codes are open and will be shared, then our millions of young minds will become
02:52better and better.
02:53We are entering an era where humans and intelligent systems co-create, co-work and co-evolve.
03:09AI will become more smart, efficient and impactful.
03:20From the Prime Minister's inaugural call for AI for All to the massive halls filled with exhibitors, the energy here
03:27is electric and the statement is clear.
03:30The future of AI is too important to be decided behind closed doors.
03:36Leaders from all over the world, be it tech or diplomacy, are all here, signalling that AI governance is now
03:42a top-tier asset to have.
03:44In the India AI Impact Summit 2026, all this footfall and all these innovations around point towards one direction.
03:53New Delhi is currently the AI nerve centre of the world.
03:57After all, it's not every day you get to see Sundar Pichai and Sam Altman on the same stage.
04:07India, the world's largest democracy, is well positioned to lead an AI, not just to build it, but to shape
04:13it and decide what our future is going to look like.
04:16And it's important to move quickly.
04:18On our current trajectory, we believe we may be only a couple of years away from early versions of true
04:25super intelligence.
04:27If we are right, by the end of 2028, more of the world's intellectual capacity could reside inside of data
04:34centres than outside of them.
04:36We're already seeing what AI is doing for access to high-quality healthcare, education and more.
04:41In the coming years, we expect to see robots make many products and physical goods cheaper as supply chains get
04:48automated.
04:50The limit to how far this cost reduction can go may only be government policy.
04:55But the other side of this coin is that current jobs are going to get disrupted, as AI can do
04:59more and more of the things that drive our economy today.
05:03The next few years will test global society as this technology continues to improve at a rapid pace.
05:09We can choose to either empower people or concentrate power.
05:13We must work together to ensure the benefits of AI are available to everyone and everywhere.
05:20I believe India is going to have an extraordinary trajectory with AI.
05:24And we are supporting with a full stack commitment, including products, scaling and infrastructure.
05:31So let me congratulate the US and India on this historic moment.
05:37Alongside the recent trade agreement, this will lay a strong foundation for a robust US-India tech partnership for many
05:45years to come.
05:48You heard the leaders.
05:50For the first time, India is setting the agenda for the most transformative technology of our lifetime.
05:56Let's see what futuristic tech innovations we can find here at the AI Impact Summit 2026.
06:11When you talk about AI and the future of AI in terms of hardware, there is one specific category that
06:17is just raging in the Indian market, especially globally.
06:20And that's smart glasses.
06:21But the problem with smart glasses is the affordability quotient is what the Indian market is trying to solve with
06:28these glasses.
06:28These are the Jio smart glasses, which I am experiencing here at the India AI Summit.
06:35I'm going to be speaking with Dinesh, who is a Jio representative, who is going to give us a lowdown
06:40of what these glasses are.
06:42What is the availability?
06:43What is the price factor like?
06:44And what features it offers that the other smart glasses in the Indian market don't offer?
06:48So Dinesh, welcome to Tech Today.
06:50First up, I want to understand how are these glasses different from the conventional Meta Ray-Bans in the market
06:55right now?
06:56We have two SKUs, one is audio and another is camera.
06:59And it's backed by an application called Jio Reality OS and it's totally developed for Indians.
07:05The AI is developed by Jio only.
07:08The features that we get in terms of using the camera, you said this one as a camera.
07:12What is the resolution like?
07:13What are the kind of recordings we can do?
07:15And is there a privacy feature as well?
07:17Because a lot of people are concerned about people recording them without their information.
07:21So tell us about that.
07:22So for the privacy feature, we also have given the LED.
07:26When any particular user is clicking photo, so the person in front of that camera glasses can actually get the
07:34LED blinks.
07:35So people will understand.
07:38Because of the privacy feature, the LED is there.
07:41The 16 megapixel, the camera resolution is there. 1080 is a telephone.
07:45So any farmer doesn't know the English and let's say Tamil farmer, Marathi farmer.
07:51We just need to say in his language that can you please tell me what the disease is on this
07:57plant.
07:57So this particular Jio AI will provide the entire details of remedies.
08:04So likewise, professionals can use it, Indians can use it, any particular layman can use it.
08:09That's how we build a system.
08:10I think this is a very important point that Dinesh is addressing over here is inclusivity.
08:15Whenever you are using AI, most of the interactions happen because English is the primary driver whenever you are interacting
08:22with an AI ecosystem.
08:23But here, since it's all about making AI inclusive, different languages have been embedded in this one.
08:28Now, when I spoke to Dinesh, he said the availability of the glasses will happen in the months to come.
08:33Pricing is going to be important because the current smart glass market is actually a little exorbitantly priced.
08:40If I go for a pair of metal glasses, they would come around 40-50,000 rupees.
08:44But these glasses can come in at about half of that price, which is great for people who want an
08:50affordable option.
08:51But yes, these are the Jio smart glasses that we are showcasing here on the Tech Today Show here at
08:56the AI Summit.
08:56We'll be coming to you with more AI stuff right from here.
09:12Now, imagine a future where you have asked for a package delivery to your home, but instead of a human
09:18being, robots are making that delivery.
09:20And this is an end-to-end solution that we are witnessing here at the AI Summit.
09:25I'm here at NVIDIA's booth with something very innovative, an end-to-end packaging delivery solution.
09:30And I'm with Hrithukar here, who is the co-founder of the company.
09:34He's going to give us a lowdown of how this entire ecosystem works and how robots are right now doing
09:41all of the work.
09:42So, Hrithukar, thank you so much for being a part of Tech Today.
09:45If you could just give us an understanding of what's happening here.
09:48You're saying robots are doing all of the delivery over here, if you could explain.
09:51So, what we bring here is a multi-modal delivery system where drones are delivering packages to a smart mailbox.
09:57And then the robots are taking up the smart packages from the mailbox to deliver to the end customer.
10:04So, this is for the first time this is happening because individually robots are doing deliveries, drones are doing deliveries.
10:10But to bring an ecosystem together, I think that is what is going to grow adoption.
10:14So, when we say that everything is done by robots, I am sitting at home and asking for a package.
10:21You're saying a robot will come and pick the box and then a robot will deliver the end user.
10:25Is that what's happening?
10:26So, normally, you know, from the local warehouse, like the likes of any quick commerce, the drones will be picking
10:33up the packages.
10:34They'll be bringing to a customer group hub where, you know, robots or the mailbox will be getting the packages,
10:41as you can see here.
10:42And then the robot takes it from there.
10:44So, it's kind of a micro-herb mailbox from where the robots are taking and doing deliveries to the end
10:49customer.
10:50So, what is it solving here?
10:52Because right now, I am getting my deliveries in 10 minutes.
10:55You're saying with robots it will be reduced to like 2 minutes or something?
10:58The point is like quality of life.
11:00I think there's a lot of discussion going on with 10 minutes deliveries and how delivery folks are actually, you
11:05know, troubling their lives to make that 10 deliveries target happening.
11:08And at the same time, in a typical group housing society in India, there are about 30 to 40 delivery
11:13boys in.
11:14And these are one time in, one time out.
11:16So, it's a massive deficit in security as well.
11:18So, we are trying to bring this orchestration system so that one, people can do more meaningful and, you know,
11:25intelligent work.
11:25At the same time, the dull and dusty can be done by the robots.
11:31Although we have already seen drone deliveries happening around, this is interesting because it has minimal human support in operations.
11:40The summit also showcased a variety of robots for various purposes.
11:44However, we have seen and shown you better ones in the CES 2026.
11:53There was the homely Cloyd robot by LG.
11:56We also saw the Atlas prototype from Boston Dynamics.
12:00And then there were emotional support robots taking emotional intelligence in robots to the next level.
12:07Well, the tech at AI Impact Summit is not as much as CES.
12:11But if I have to mention one from here, it would be the Booster K1.
12:16Let's have a look at what it can do.
12:24So, whenever we talk about physical AI, the first thing that comes to our mind is a robot, a humanoid.
12:30That's the showcase here at the India AI Summit.
12:33Now, this is a unique robot that we have seen here at Qualcomm's booth.
12:36But how is it operating? What is the real kick inside of it? What is the software? What is the
12:41technology inside?
12:42For that, we have a rep from Qualcomm who will give us a lowdown of what this robot, this magical
12:47robot, is all about.
12:49So, first, we would like to understand you're having a showcase here at the Qualcomm booth, physical AI.
12:54But can you tell us something about the robot that is special?
12:57Absolutely. So, this is using a mix of sensors and camera systems to understand the spatial technology that it is
13:04in.
13:04It's also understanding the context of the space that it's in.
13:07It's getting remote commands and performing a lot of rhythmic movements around it.
13:11So, what you see is a little bit of a dance, which was inspired by Michael Jackson, of course.
13:15And we have a couple of hand gestures which we fit in, specific to India, like even Namaste and, of
13:20course, like a handshake.
13:21I'm guessing that the robot is extremely excited to shake hands with your cameraman.
13:24Booster K1 right now is being operated using a remote control, something that we usually have while we are playing
13:30video games.
13:31But the interesting bit is robotics is the way it's evolving.
13:34We will see a future where these kind of machines are going to be in our homes.
13:38Right now, the industry is something that adoption is happening.
13:42And maybe someday you will have a robot of your own who can wave, dance and do all of this.
13:47I mean, I would want one for sure.
13:54So, in a country where cricket is almost considered a religion, it's imperative that people get to interact with cricket
14:01with the help of technology.
14:03And that's why here at Google's booth, we have found an innovation that can, let's just say, enhance your overall
14:09cricket skills.
14:10Now, the shot I played, I'll be able to go into AI, get an analysis of the shot, how I
14:16can improve, and there's a whole lot more in this technology.
14:19What a swing. He absolutely crunches that one with immense power and intent.
14:25Using Google's Gemini 3 models, the system tracks body joints in real time.
14:29It's also analyzing even the micro flicks of your wrists.
14:33Now, within seconds of a shot, it will tell you if your shot selection was right for that line and
14:37length, or if you were playing across the line, which is great.
14:43There are two sides when it comes to showcases here at the India AI Summit.
14:48One is the enterprise side, and the other one is the startup ecosystem, which is pivotal in terms of AI
14:54development.
14:54Now, we have seen some absolutely brilliant innovations here from the enterprise side that we showcase to you on the
15:00show.
15:01But there is also the startup ecosystem that's working hard to innovate in the AI space.
15:05And I found some really interesting AI startups in India that you should definitely have a look at.
15:11Walk into any corner of this hub and you will hear the sound of the next big disruption.
15:17This is where the whiteboard sketches of yesterday become the unicorns of tomorrow.
15:21It's a high-octane ecosystem where falling fast is a badge of honor more than a setback.
15:36So, when Tony Stark made the Iron Man, I'm sure he did not do it on day one, right?
15:41He would have started as a kid on smaller models trying to practice and, you know, make his skill more
15:47proficient.
15:47Well, I am here at the India AI Summit at a startup booth.
15:51Now, this startup is called Stembotics from Gujarat and they are making these small robotic kits.
15:57Basically, these are smaller kits where a student or a kid can pick up, buy the kit and start his
16:05robotics or construction journey.
16:07Now, these small robots have been made using simple hardware.
16:11You can see this block.
16:12The software is coded.
16:14They provide the software as well.
16:15You can simply drag and drop everything and easily code the movements in these small robots.
16:22Now, they also come with dedicated sensors.
16:24Now, if you want to have a camera on a robot or some kind of a sensor,
16:28these are all of the different kind of sensors that you can plant and retrofit on these robots to make
16:34them more efficient.
16:35But the idea here is to get your kid started early in their robotics journey because in the advanced stage,
16:43they might not get this opportunity.
16:45But if you can start early and create, you know, these simple robots, but with advanced sensors,
16:51I believe that they will have an understanding of how the entire robotics ecosystem works,
16:57how the semiconductors, how the chips, how the sensors work.
16:59And to do this in a fun way, make toys, it's really interactive.
17:04And it's something that I'm sure every aspiring kid who wants to create robots can start with.
17:09Right now, we are working with more than 5,000 plus schools in pan India.
17:14And we are also expanding into other countries as well.
17:16So when we are talking about India, we are particularly working with the rural school kids.
17:20And we are working with the state government.
17:22So we are working right now with the Gujarat state government, Goa state government, Uttarakhand state government.
17:26The basic price, the base price starts at around 3,000 rupees.
17:30And then it can go beyond 70,000 when you have more sensors added, more hardware added.
17:36But the true idea over here is it's an opportunity for students, for kids to start their robotics journey
17:42and very early than, you know, competitive standards.
17:46And it gives them the exposure to coding, to the kind of hardware that they'll be using in advanced stages.
17:52And this gets them ready for the future.
17:55And as the global race for tech supremacy heats up, these hubs are the engines of growth for our nation.
18:01Whether it's New Delhi, Bengaluru or San Francisco, the mission remains the same.
18:08Innovate and scale.
18:11There are so many beautiful stories that we are getting to you here at the AI Summit.
18:16But beyond the enterprises, beyond the startups, there are a few more,
18:20which I believe that you should definitely have a look at.
18:23But the hearty part of all of this is there are so many people turning up to watch the AI
18:29innovation,
18:29to experience them and also to collaborate and integrate.
18:32Because in the end, I believe AI should always be about welfare and happiness.
18:44So artificial intelligence has reached capabilities that you can create anything under the sun.
18:49But here at the AI Summit, we have found something very unique that AI is helping create.
18:54And that's actual jewelry.
18:57And we are here with the founders of the company who are making this innovation really click and work.
19:02So gentlemen, this is something very interesting.
19:06I've not heard of it at all that you are using artificial intelligence to create jewelry.
19:10Explain to us how that is happening and how did you come up with the idea?
19:14At the time, I wanted to create pieces for myself and for my family.
19:18And the ideas I had, I couldn't showcase them.
19:21I was making rough sketches of them.
19:22So when I came up with idea jewelry, we brought together a model that we fine tune together.
19:29So these pieces, we basically are ideas that we had and then we curated them as a design.
19:35Then we edited them on the platform and then we manufacture them from real gold and silver.
19:41So the interesting bit is you can actually customize the designs based on your own preferences
19:46and based on the budget you have, which is also interesting.
19:49But when we talk about like people are very impatient these days, they want everything quickly, like 10 minute deliveries.
19:55When I have completed my design, when I've customized it, how long does it take for in realistic terms?
20:00How long does it take for the item to reach me?
20:03Generally, what happens in jewelry is it takes two or three days to complete the designing process.
20:10But using AI, we have cut the designing process.
20:12You can show some of the designs that you would love to show the designs.
20:17So here we have the butterfly brooch, the dragon brooch, the Sri Ram brooch, Krishna brooch.
20:24And all of these designs are made using AI.
20:28We have basically converted the image into a 3D model.
20:32So we have attained the manufacturing efficiency.
20:34So we can manufacture such pieces at a very short period of time.
20:38The one good thing which I heard off record and we were not discussing it that time,
20:43is the uniqueness of each of these designs, that they are unique, they cannot be replicated,
20:48which is the one thing that customers do want in their jewelry.
20:52But it's fascinating what artificial intelligence is doing right now,
20:55helping people create designs that you cannot imagine even if you go to any specific jewelers.
21:00But that is what AI is doing right here at the India AI Summit.
21:04We'll be back on the other side with some more interesting innovations.
21:16So we showed you how AI can create or help create jewelry,
21:20but there is another station here at Tata's booth,
21:23where we are seeing AI help in making these wonderful, beautifully woven sarees.
21:29But there is a technological innovation that is driving this creativity and craft,
21:33which is why we are here to speak with Nisha about how this technology works.
21:38Thank you, Nisha, for speaking with us.
21:39If you could just help us understand, what is the innovation and AI that's driving this craft work?
21:45We have a system where you can customise from a customer point of view.
21:49You can customise your own saree by asking the AI, like I wanted a saree.
21:53That can be a traditional, you merge all traditions of India.
21:57So it will create everything it will give you.
21:59And you have a template, you can place the colours or motive colours or whatever you wanted.
22:03Doodle something, you draw something, you get an exact image on it.
22:06And you'll see before, see what is the traditional method.
22:09I give a designer, you've done everything.
22:11I wait to see my saree after weaving.
22:15So there may be an option like 60-50, like I was convinced or not.
22:19But still if I made bridle, I said, okay, I wanted to wear it even if I was not that
22:23much satisfied.
22:24So from here, the customer is satisfied.
22:27Then for a designer, if I'm going and asking a designer to draw Taj Mahal.
22:31So for a designer to have a weave ready file, it takes months or weeks, at least 18 weeks time
22:37for a design to do.
22:38So if there are many people are doing it, that also one more problem.
22:42Like if you could unique design, if you wanted to go, you could see that very limited people are doing
22:47it in Kanjiburam.
22:48You have only count, you can count it.
22:51So here using this, the customer is satisfied.
22:54Your designing part is done within one or two days.
22:57The minor corrections will be happening for the designers.
22:59So that is done.
23:00So this output of the file will be given to the weavers where we have an LED assistance, which you
23:06saw there,
23:07which supports them giving an identification that which color and which direction they wanted to pass.
23:13See what happens, this saree weaving is not going to happen in a day.
23:17It goes at 10 days or based on complexity.
23:19So there is a pressure in weaver even if you're stepping back and coming back, oh, where do I stop?
23:24I have to resume it again.
23:26But this assistance gives you stand along with you, this technology stand along with the weaver,
23:30to tell you a man you start from here.
23:32That's the beautiful story that I'm getting here from the AI Summit is how technology is enhancing the overall productivity
23:40in one way,
23:40but also giving craftsmen the opportunity to interact with intelligence and AI and then enhance their skill set.
23:48This is just one of those many stories that we are getting to you live from the AI Summit.
23:53But the beauty is, the AI innovation never stops on the Tech Today show.
23:59So looking around these halls today, it's pretty clear that India is actually setting the pace to become the next
24:05AI hub of the world.
24:07From the massive scale of companies like Tata and Jio to that raw startup energy we saw earlier.
24:13The AI for all mission has started feeling less like a slogan and more like a reality now.
24:20It's been a wild week of big names and even bigger ideas and honestly, I feel that we are just
24:28getting started.
24:29That's a wrap for this edition of the Tech Today show.
24:32I hope we could get you the best of AI right here at the India AI Summit.
24:36Now remember, the India AI story is just starting and we are going to go a long way, not just
24:41for enterprises, but also for the end user like you.
24:44And I hope the showcases that we had on the show, you liked them.
