In United States, over 7 thousand flights were canceled in several airports of the northeast, amid strong winter storm. According to local reports, a historic winter storm has placed 59 million people under weather warnings and is causing power outages and travel bans. Moreover, states of emergency have been declared in multiple US states including Massachusetts, Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey and Rhode Island. Officials in New York warn the storm could rank among the city's 10 worst in 150 years, with airports in the area experiencing the most disruptions. Forecasters say much of the US northeast and the Canadian maritimes will be impacted from Sunday evening to Monday.
