00:09Teachers right across the state have been waiting for years to have a campaign for more preparation time.
00:15Thank you so much from both schools for coming out to launch this campaign in this particular area of New
00:22South Wales.
00:22This is happening right across New South Wales. This is our flagship campaign for this year.
00:28There'll be other matters, but this has to lead because this matters to the profession.
00:32It matters to the capacity of our profession to attract and retain.
00:36And it also comes out of the Gallup Inquiry.
00:38And an additional two hours per week release time for everyone in the teaching profession,
00:43in our public primary schools and our public high schools.
00:46And why? Because you know your work has grown significantly.
00:50It's far more complex. Student need has grown exponentially.
00:55You're spending more and more time on things taking you away from lesson preparation.
01:01Those two hours additional are critical.
01:03They've had to be taken to the school.
01:05Both of you and your staff were determined to learn about the maturation to be there.
01:08And that's where your client is at home.
