00:02If every church on earth disappeared tomorrow, if every steeple came down and every sanctuary went silent, the truth about
00:14God would remain exactly what it has always been, unchanged, unstoppable, and unshaken by human structures.
00:26There is something profoundly comforting about realizing that God has never been confined to a building, a denomination, or a
00:36Sunday morning schedule.
00:38From the beginning of time, long before the first church was ever built, God existed in fullness, authority, and love.
00:49He walked with Adam in the garden. He spoke to Abraham beneath the stars.
00:56He wrestled with Jacob in the night, and he whispered to Elijah on a lonely mountain.
01:03Not once did he require stained glass windows or polished pews to reveal himself.
01:11God's presence was never limited to a place, because God has always been after a person, and that person is
01:22you.
01:23When you understand that truth, your faith becomes fireproof.
01:29You stop worrying about what might collapse around you, and you start resting in the one who cannot collapse.
01:39The absence of buildings would not erase the presence of God, because the real sanctuary he has chosen is the
01:47human heart.
01:49Scripture has always told us that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit, which means God's favorite address is
01:57not on a street corner, but the soul that seeks him.
02:01If every church fell, prayer would still rise.
02:08If every pulpit vanished, God's voice would still speak.
02:14And if every service ended, worship would still echo in living rooms, in cars, in hospital beds, in quiet moments
02:25where you whisper his name in desperation or gratitude.
02:31Faith is not sustained by walls, it is sustained by presence, by relationship, and by the unchanging truth of who
02:43God is.
02:44So, I want you to ask yourself a deeper question.
02:49If the structures disappeared, would your connection with God grow weaker or stronger?
02:56Would you panic because the routine is gone?
03:00Or would you rise because the foundation remains?
03:05Sometimes, we forget that the early believers had no buildings, no microphones, no worship teams, and no live streams.
03:16Yet, they walked in a level of faith, courage, conviction, and supernatural power that shook the entire Roman Empire.
03:27They prayed until prison doors opened.
03:30They preached on street corners until nations were transformed.
03:35They loved with such depth that whole cities marveled at the authenticity of their community.
03:44They had no church buildings, but they were the church.
03:51Not a place, a people, not a structure, a living, breathing movement shaped by the presence of God.
04:01And when you look at it that way, the idea of losing physical churches becomes less frightening and more revealing.
04:10It exposes whether our roots are in God or in a routine.
04:16Whether our faith is built on Christ or on comfort.
04:21Whether our worship is alive or simply familiar.
04:27You see, God has never depended on institutions to do what His Spirit can stir within a surrendered heart.
04:35And if every church disappeared tomorrow, the truth about God that would remain is that He is still pursuing you.
04:45Still calling you.
04:48Still guiding you.
04:49And still empowering you to live out the mission.
04:53A mission He designed for your life.
04:57His love would not weaken.
05:00His promises, well, they would not expire.
05:03His presence would not withdraw.
05:06And everything human, well, it could collapse.
05:10But nothing divine would.
05:13You see, there's a freedom in realizing that God is bigger than everything we tend to rely on.
05:20He is bigger than traditions.
05:22He's bigger than religions.
05:24He's bigger than formats.
05:26He's bigger than the systems we build and the structures we cherish.
05:32He is bigger than the limitations we place on ourselves and the expectations we place on Him.
05:42Now, when churches thrive, God is present.
05:46When churches crumble, God is present.
05:50When you are surrounded by believers, God is present.
05:55And when you feel utterly alone, well, God is present.
06:02The truth that remains is that God has never needed perfect conditions to work miracles.
06:08He meets you in the wilderness as powerfully as He meets you in a sanctuary.
06:13He speaks in storms as clearly as He speaks in quiet places.
06:19His strength reaches you whether you stand in a crowd or on your knees in a dark room.
06:27And maybe, well, maybe that's the message someone needs right now.
06:33Because sometimes what breaks us is not the loss of a church building,
06:38but the feeling that the structure of our life has collapsed.
06:44Maybe the marriage fell apart.
06:46The job has disappeared.
06:49The friendship shifted.
06:52Your plans have unraveled.
06:55And suddenly, you wonder whether God is still there.
06:59The comfort is this.
07:03God's presence does not depend on stability.
07:08God's faithfulness does not depend on circumstances.
07:13And God's love does not depend on your perfection.
07:19He remains who He is even when everything around you changes.
07:25And that means you can depend on Him even when you cannot depend on anything else.
07:31So, if every church disappeared tomorrow,
07:36the truth that would remain is that God is real.
07:40God is near.
07:42And God, well, He is committed to you.
07:47He has written His law on your heart.
07:51He has placed His Spirit within you.
07:53He has promised never to leave you or forsake you.
07:58He has chosen you as His dwelling place, His vessel, and His beloved.
08:08The disappearance of buildings could not delete His presence.
08:13The silence of sanctuaries could not silence His voice.
08:18The absence of services could not interrupt His love.
08:24Wherever you stand, God stands with you.
08:30Wherever you go, God goes with you.
08:35Wherever you turn your heart, even for a moment,
08:42heaven responds when you turn your heart toward Him.
08:48And maybe, maybe this is the most powerful truth of all.
08:53If every church disappeared tomorrow,
08:57God would rebuild His movement the same way He started it.
09:02Not with bricks, but with people.
09:07Not with programs, but with purpose.
09:12And not with committees, but with calling.
09:15God would begin again with hearts awakened,
09:20lives transformed,
09:22and individuals who realize they do not need a building
09:25to carry the presence of the living God.
09:29You are the continuation of His story.
09:33You are the vessel of His light.
09:35You are the living reminder that God does not dwell in buildings
09:40made by human hands,
09:41but in the souls He has redeemed.
09:45And when everything else is stripped away,
09:48what remains is the essence of true faith.
09:53God is here.
09:55God is faithful.
09:57And God is enough.
10:02My name is Douglas Vandergraaf,
10:05and I believe in Jesus Christ.
10:08God bless you all.
10:10Bye-bye.
