00:00Hello Monster Theorists! Welcome to the first ever Wild Card Guide. As you may know, in the last
00:05update, wild cards were made a lot easier to obtain, which means now we have a guide for it.
00:10We'll be talking about what wild cards even are, what they're used for, and the best ways to earn
00:14them. Let's get straight into it. What are wild cards? Wild cards are a rare currency that can
00:19be used to fill up slots in monsters that have inventories to be unlocked. For example, the
00:24Wubblins take monster eggs zapped into their inventories to be woken up. The rare Wubblins
00:28take rare monster eggs zapped into their inventories to be evolved, while boxes need
00:32monsters zapped straight from the islands to wake up. Amber also requires eggs zapped into the
00:37monsters, and so do Celestials. Having a good source of wild cards will make these monsters
00:42so much easier to obtain. So how do you get a good source of wild cards? I'm glad you asked.
00:47There are three main methods of collecting wild cards. Method number one is the Nexus. Once you
00:52complete eight collections of magical monsters, you can start collecting wild cards. However,
00:57this is a very rare chance, and I would not go for the Nexus specifically for wild cards. Method number
01:04two is early ascending a Celestial. If you have a young Celestial that you want to evolve into an
01:09adult Celestial, meaning that you need to zap eggs into it, but you don't have all of the eggs,
01:14you'll be able to spend keys to have a chance of being able to evolve it anyways. This can save
01:18time
01:19zapping monsters into the inventory. However, it's not a guaranteed success, and whenever it fails,
01:23it gives you a wild card. This is an extremely difficult way to get wild cards, and I am
01:29extremely glad that the third method was added, which is the minor carnival. Basically, how it
01:34works is that the minor carnival monsters can produce wild cards. How do you get the minor
01:39carnival monsters? You can teleport major and minor carnival monsters to the carnival, or you can breed
01:44up monsters that are better at making wild cards on the major form, and then pair them to the minor
01:49form using the centrifuge. It's a whole process. I'm planning on making a guide for it at some point.
01:54Stay tuned. But the point is, this is the best source of wild cards by far. I have a feeling
01:59that
01:59the Nexus will be useful at some point once we get more epic monsters, but for now, I mean, there's
02:04no
02:05competition. If you want wild cards, get monsters on the minor carnival. And I mean, that's really all
02:09there is to it. But how many wild cards do you need to wake up monsters? Let's go over some
02:14numbers
02:14together. This is Editor Cobra, and I realized that almost as important as it is to know how many
02:19wild cards you need to wake stuff up, it's also important to know how many wild cards you're even
02:24going to earn. So I wanted to share my experience with how many I've been earning over this last
02:27week. I have one of each of the paranormals linked to both the major and the minor carnival. I do
02:33have
02:33one extra germ, but it hasn't produced anything yet. I just got it yesterday. But with one of each
02:37monster, I have gotten about two wild cards per day. That's about 14 a week. That's like 56 wild cards
02:45a
02:45month. So that's about 100 wild cards in two months. Not a bad rate. I think once we get more
02:51waves, things will start looking better. But just an interesting note, by far the most productive
02:56monster has been my germ. It has made about one wild card for every monster I own so far. It
03:01is
03:01making wild cards significantly faster. And I don't know if this is just luck, but honestly, like, I feel
03:07like that's reason enough to get multiple germs. So that's what I've been doing. And yeah, that's my
03:11experience so far. Let's take a look at some numbers. For a common Wubox on a natural island,
03:16it costs one wild card per monster. So if you wanted to wake up a Wubox from nothing, just with
03:21wild cards, you would need 15 wild cards. The rare Wuboxes require one wild card per element on a
03:27monster. So for example, if you have a single element, that's one wild card. But if you have a
03:31triple element, that's three wild cards. If you wanted to wake up a natural rare Wubox from nothing to full,
03:37only using wild cards. That would cost 32 wild cards. Next, we have Epiqua boxes, and their natural
03:42forms cost two wild cards per element. So a Mammoth, one element times two is two wild cards. A
03:50Shellbeat, four elements times two is eight. So it would cost eight wild cards. All this would be
03:55from nothing to full, only using wild cards, 64 wild cards. I mean, surprisingly, that's not too bad.
04:02How about the fire monsters? Because the Oasis and Haven have it. Are the rules different? Uh, yes.
04:07The common Wuboxes, they cost the same amounts for the natural monsters, but if a monster has a fire
04:11element, it costs two wild cards. As far as rares go, I cannot confirm it, but I have a feeling
04:16it's
04:16probably two wild cards per element. And I can't be sure about Epics, but I would assume it's four
04:22wild cards per element. Remember, all of the natural monsters on the island are counted as normal. If you
04:26wanted to wake up an ethereal island epic Wubox, it would cost 100 wild cards, which is not a lot.
04:34But if you wanted to wake up a Wublin island, common Wubox, it would cost almost 300 wild cards.
04:41This has to be because it's filling with Wublins, and the Wublins are expensive,
04:46and there's a lot of them. Each Wublin costs 15 wild cards to replace into the Wubox. I do feel
04:51for MPG, who is saving for Epic Wubox. Holy moly, that's going to take forever. If you wanted to
04:56completely wake up a gold island epic Wubox, it would cost 150 wild cards, or 30 wild cards for
05:03each phase. Still, kind of a high number, but lower than I expected for such a difficult to obtain
05:08monster. What about Wublins? Common Wublins take one wild card per monster. Rare Wublins take one
05:13wild card per element. So if you were to zap in a Kongle, a triple element, it would take three
05:18wild
05:18cards. And the epic ones have some interesting rules because there are also some fire monsters
05:22mixed in. If you're replacing a natural, it's two wild cards per element. So if you had a
05:27drumpler, it would cost four wild cards. But if it requires a fire monster, it requires three wild
05:33cards per element. So let's say you had a Flummox, a quad. Four times three is 12. It would take
05:3812
05:38wild cards to put in an epic Flummox into an epic Wublin. Vessels and young Celestials also cost one
05:44wild card per monster, but the adult Celestials have a little bit of a weirder rule. According to the
05:48Wikipedia, these are split up into three categories because you have the magical monsters, the natural
05:54monsters, the fire monsters, and the seasonal monsters that can be zapped into these adult
05:58Celestials. Once again, this is according to the wiki and I have found a few inaccuracies, but according
06:03to the wiki, one wild card per element for a magical monster, one wild card for a natural or fire
06:09monster,
06:09two wild cards for a seasonal or mythical. When it comes to the rare flex eggs, it's a little bit
06:14trickier. According to the wiki, for a natural monster, it costs one wild card per hundred diamonds
06:20it would take to spend to zap it in with diamonds on the Celestials. Oh, that was a mouthful. And
06:27fire
06:27monsters take 1.5 wild cards per 100 diamonds it would take to replace the monster with diamonds in
06:35the Celestials. So basically, if you only had the flex eggs left and a flex egg cost 100 diamonds,
06:41it would take 1 wild card to replace it. If it costs 400 diamonds, 4 wild cards. But if it
06:46was a fire
06:47monster, then it costs 1.5 per 100? Anyways, that is basically it for wild cards. What do you guys
06:55think? I mean, I'm really excited about this new update and I hope this guide was useful or interesting
07:00to you. If it was, be sure to leave a like and maybe subscribe. I do a lot of update
07:04videos. Thank you
07:05to my lovely Cobra Clan for letting me drink soda while I edit these and I will see you guys
07:09in the next
07:09video. Happy monstering!
