00:00I just wanted to get your perspective on Iran, because the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu
00:06is warning of an unprecedented response if Iran attacks, and Trump hinting at military action.
00:13Is the region on the brink of a major Israel-Iran confrontation?
00:20I hope President Trump is able to force the Iranians into an agreement that will end the
00:25Islamic Republic's aggression in the Middle East. I hope that they look at those
00:29American warships and agree that now is the time to permanently end the nuclear weapons
00:34program, the long-range ballistic missiles, and their support for proxy armies that have
00:40brought chaos across the Middle East. But I'm not optimistic that the Iranians are going to do that.
00:45In fact, we've seen the very aggressive move of closing the Straits of Hormuz during negotiations
00:51with the Americans, publicly rebuffing the idea there can be any deal on ballistic missiles,
00:57as Iran's suggesting that they're not willing to do that. So the Americans are saying,
01:02well, maybe Iran has made a little bit of progress, but they're not even acknowledging
01:05America's other red lines. And I think the Israeli perspective is, obviously, we want diplomacy to
01:12succeed in ending that threat of Iranian aggression. But the absolute worst outcome would be a return to
01:19some form of JCPOA that lifts sanctions on Iran, allows the regime to enrich itself just at the time
01:27that it is trying to rebuild that machinery of regional hegemony.
