00:00Data from people working just four days a week keeps coming in and the results continue to be positive.
00:06The UK's four-day-a-week trial, one of the largest in the world, has now concluded that 40%
00:12of those partaking in the social experiment had fewer sleep issues or insomnia.
00:1745% saw no change in their sleep and just 15% reported an increase in sleep issues.
00:24The study has been a total success. 92% of the participating companies said they will continue with the four
00:30-day-a-week model now that the trial is over.
00:33And 18% of the companies confirmed the four-day workweek is going to be a permanent policy.
00:39Science Alert reports studies have concluded Americans don't get the recommended seven hours or more of sleep at night.
00:46Work schedules are a big part of it.
00:48But even those working the standard 40 hours a week find that stress on the job can bleed into bedtime.
00:54But with the results of the trial, organized by Four-Day Week Global in collaboration with research teams at Boston
01:01College, University of Cambridge, and Autonomy,
01:04it seems like there's little to no reason not to adopt four-day workweeks.
01:09Participating companies saw revenue increase on average by 35%, fewer employees said they felt compelled to leave their jobs during
01:17the trial,
01:18and most importantly, 15% of employees said no amount of money would induce them to accept a five-day
01:25schedule over the four-day week.
