00:00Before the pandemic, working from home was seen as a pipe dream for most, but now many have their sights
00:05set on another work-life milestone, the 4-Day Workweek.
00:09Recently, an experiment involving 33 companies all over the world put their employees on a 32-hour week for 6
00:15months, and the results are pretty incredible.
00:17The trial was organized by 4-Day Week Global, a not-for-profit seeking to change the way people approach
00:22business,
00:23with the study finding that employees were just as productive in a 4-Day Workweek as they were in a
00:275-Day one, around 80% of the time.
00:29But that's not all. The companies also reported increased revenue and employee well-being, two things which no doubt go
00:35hand-in-hand.
00:36The report also outlined the positive environmental impact from the employees commuting to work 20% less often.
00:424-Day Week Global says that hundreds of companies have now come forward saying that they are considering a similar
00:47trial.
00:48So what's the downside? Well, there doesn't seem to be any.
00:51Only half of the companies involved in the trial reported their revenue throughout, but those that did reported an 8
00:56.14% increase in revenue on average,
00:59a nearly 40% higher revenue jump than the same six-month period the previous year,
01:03with all of the companies involved saying they're keeping the 4-Day Workweek moving forward.
