00:00Hello, I'm Angela Scanlon and welcome to The Apprentice Unfinished Business,
00:04where we will be quenching our thirst with all the post-task chat
00:07as I take a deep dive into the creative choices that left us a little dehydrated.
00:13Coming up, Lord Sugar will be weighing in on how he really thinks this week's task went.
00:17Plus, fired candidate Roxanne joins us to reflect on her time in the process.
00:23But I will not be doing this alone.
00:25Oh no, no, no, I'm joined by apprentice obsessive Dean McCulloch
00:29and author, speaker and business expert, Dr. Alison Edgar.
00:34This is The Apprentice Unfinished Business.
00:40Dean and Alison, everyone.
00:45So task four, if the twists and turns of this series weren't enough,
00:49we now had the collab we never knew we needed.
00:53Lord Alan Sugar and Big Zoo.
00:56Yes.
00:57Did you see it coming?
00:58Did not see this coming at all.
01:00Amazing.
01:00Like you just could not put the two of them together.
01:03And yet it worked so well.
01:04It works.
01:05Now, the task this week was all about water.
01:08OK, so, you know, there was a little bit of cellular hydration, but a lot of drama.
01:13OK, they had to create a brand.
01:14They had to shoot an advert.
01:16They had to go live on social media and apprentice first.
01:20So a lot to get on board with.
01:22Is this one of your favourite tasks?
01:24Yes, 100 percent.
01:25I like it when there's different elements to it.
01:27I mean, I love seeing them out in the streets and scrambling to get things on at the last minute.
01:32But actually, I think tasks like this really show you everyone's weaknesses.
01:37But I suppose there's so many.
01:38It feels like a catch all.
01:40Like the creatives amongst the group would excel in this task.
01:44But actually, there's so much to think about here.
01:46Yeah.
01:46But as entrepreneurs, really, it's really important that they have all those skills.
01:50You know, as you grow your business, you can delegate some of them.
01:52But you need to know how to do everything.
01:54And I absolutely love the lives.
01:57Like that was like, oh.
01:59And the thing with it is because like loads of people think, oh, wow, I'm a social media expert.
02:03I'm a TikToker.
02:04But it's not quite as easy as that.
02:06And I think we saw two people who think they're good at it.
02:08But there was a variation between the skill sets between them.
02:11Oh, Alison, I like the spiciness from early on.
02:16Now, this was the second creative task in this series.
02:22Last time the candidates got creative, we ended up with a zebra in witness protection and a children's book about
02:29poo.
02:30What, Alison, again, from Lord Sugar's perspective, when we look at a creative task like this,
02:35what is he hoping to kind of weed out?
02:39So I think if you look at any product or any service or any book or any water, we've all
02:45got competition, haven't we?
02:46So what we've got to do is find something that will stand out from the shelf.
02:49So it's got to be different from everyone else.
02:52And you can't be looking at slagging off other products.
02:55But if there's already canned drinks out there, to me, that's a desire.
02:59So rather than fighting against it, we double in towards what people are already buying,
03:04understanding that, and then use your unique selling point to do something different.
03:08You know, there's lots of those on the market.
03:10The beauty industry is one of the biggest thriving industries.
03:12You can't go, oh, somebody's already doing lipstick.
03:14I can't do that.
03:15Yeah, you can.
03:16Just make it be better.
03:17Make it last longer.
03:18Make it be whatever it is.
03:19So don't be afraid to do what other people are doing.
03:22You just do it better.
03:24I love that.
03:25That was motivational.
03:26Thank you very much.
03:30Dean, in terms of growth within our candidates, have you seen much of that over the last number
03:36of weeks?
03:37Well, anything's better than poo.
03:40I couldn't believe it.
03:41I wouldn't read that book ever.
03:44It wasn't for you.
03:45No, I know.
03:46You were not the target audience.
03:47But it also wasn't for the five-year-olds either.
03:49Fair.
03:49Because they weren't laughing.
03:50So in terms of creativity, I am glad to see a wee bit more pizzazz within the groups.
03:55I'm glad to see a little bit more collaboration in terms of Conor's group.
03:59Not much creativity going on in Krishna's group this week because Krishna really was a woman
04:05with a plan, wasn't she?
04:07We love a woman with a plan.
04:08We love a woman with a plan.
04:09Love it.
04:11She's making me want to start businesses.
04:13She's making me want to do an open university course.
04:15She's making me want to apply to be her intern.
04:17Never mind that.
04:18I want her to boss me around.
04:19I want her to say to me, Dean, no.
04:21Yeah.
04:22And then I'll just like shy away in the corner with Kieran and Harry.
04:25Like I want that moment.
04:27She's iconic.
04:28I want her to tell me off.
04:29I don't walk.
04:30Yeah, I love her so much.
04:31Like, yes, you do, Queen.
04:33She's amazing.
04:33And she had me from episode one when she said, no one will ever look down on me ever again.
04:39I was like, just give her the 250k now.
04:42Karishma is very assertive as PM.
04:45Had a really clear vision from the start.
04:47And kind of from the off seemed to engage with the team's strengths.
04:53She had kind of allowed everyone to say what they did.
04:56And she made, I would say, informed decisions.
05:00She didn't just, you know, stand them in line and separate them.
05:04Do you think she got it wrong at any point?
05:08I think she did a great job.
05:09I think she was absolutely amazing.
05:11And I think in business, in the real world, you have to make tough decisions.
05:16You have to put yourself forward and be able to say, look, yeah, I hear you.
05:20And I think she acknowledged people as they were saying things.
05:22She said, I hear you, but I'm really good at this.
05:25So I'm going to do this because we want to win the task.
05:27I hear you.
05:28I think I'm better at that than you.
05:31But I do appreciate your opinion on that one.
05:33And that's what happens.
05:35Like if you've got a business and things are going not according to plan, you can't sit back and let
05:40the ship sink.
05:41You've got to jump in and be able to take the captaincy and go for it.
05:44Well, and I guess that's the difference.
05:46It was her first time as PM.
05:47She was like, OK, if I'm going down, it's because I went for it rather than letting other people.
05:53And we see that sometimes project managers trying to be the perfect leader and let everyone do what they want
06:00to do and hang back.
06:01And actually, it doesn't always work.
06:03No, we saw it in Conor's team, didn't we?
06:04He wanted to be everywhere at once and that didn't work either.
06:08And there was a lot of change in his team and they sort of were questioning him.
06:12What I really loved about Christian's team actually was that no one really questioned her.
06:16I mean, I wouldn't dare.
06:18We did big characters in that group.
06:19And yes, they voiced their opinion.
06:21Yes, they had things to say and they all chipped in.
06:23But I get the sense that everyone else in her team, Megan included, knew that Karishma had this.
06:29She knew.
06:29And if I'm in this for me for the long run, I just know to be quiet, get the job
06:34done because we're going to win.
06:36They were all quite confident in what they were doing.
06:38And that just means that we're through to another week.
06:40You could almost see them all playing that game.
06:42There was no arguments this weekend amongst that team.
06:44And it was pretty plain sailing.
06:45Good for her.
06:46And then we had Conor.
06:49God love him.
06:50Who has famously been in the back seat in previous tasks, but finally went for the big one.
06:56He put himself forward.
06:58He got it.
06:58How did we feel about his PM skills?
07:03I really liked him.
07:04I think that there's a lot more to see from him.
07:07I think if you look at he is a charismatic leader, so you'll get people involved in what you're saying.
07:13But the foundation of anything, the foundation of giving direction is that having that clarity at the bottom level.
07:20You can't delegate if you're not clear on what you want people to do.
07:23So you have to take some responsibility that at the start of the task, you were not clear in your
07:28delegation.
07:28So it felt like he was leaving the floor open to let everybody be involved, but actually they all kind
07:33of left without a clear vision.
07:35It was an excuse.
07:35Oh, I don't really, you know, it's up to you.
07:37You're the one that's got space in there.
07:39Well, let's talk about the brands because they both struggled a bit.
07:43To be fair, there was a lot, you know, different issues with both of them.
07:47Let's start with North H2O.
07:50I think that this is an abomination.
07:53It is fundamentally flawed.
07:57Possibly one of the worst products I've ever seen on The Apprentice because, and I'll tell you why, as soon
08:03as I see this curtain of water, it reminds me of being in primary school.
08:09OK, what's the problem?
08:10Bad times?
08:11Hello.
08:14What do you think the problems were?
08:16Oh, God, I mean, babes, I would want to be your friend.
08:20Oh, so you both knew it's because no one wanted to be my friend.
08:24But true story, though, it's infant.
08:26I think it's, there's no innovation whatsoever.
08:29It's giving milk again.
08:30I still think even this product, it's giving like a milk carton.
08:34OK, so from one milk carton to another milk carton.
08:37That's a milk bottle.
08:38A milk bottle.
08:40So Thrive, OK.
08:42Yeah, it does look like a milkshake.
08:44Like, it looks delicious, but I think surprising in terms of consistency, in terms of flavour or lack thereof.
08:52What happened?
08:55Alison likes it.
08:56You do not.
08:57I like the bottle.
08:58You said you liked it.
08:59I like the tagline of it.
09:02I don't like the colour.
09:03I don't like the logos.
09:05I don't like the font.
09:07It's, again, really, really basic.
09:09But I like the name Thrive.
09:11I like the name Thrive.
09:12I'm like, right, I'm going to the gym.
09:13Oh, can I be bothered going?
09:15Yes, I'm going to go.
09:15I'm going to have the best day at the gym ever.
09:17I'm going to thrive.
09:19Oh, and then I've got the...
09:21Well, that feels like it's going to sit in your stomach.
09:23Like you're not driving on a treadmill with that in you.
09:24You'll be bringing that one back up after the head class.
09:27My IBS is shaking at the thought of it.
09:29Well, there is one man who has to tell us what he thought of this week's task
09:35and how the gang got on.
09:36Naturally, the oracle himself, Lord Sugar.
09:38Angela, advertising water should be simple.
09:42Yet both teams got the branding wrong.
09:45One looked like a banana milkshake
09:48and the other one had about as much connection to its audience
09:51as a cat has to water.
09:54Branding matters.
09:55Know your market.
09:57Speak their language and keep it simple.
10:00That said, both project managers showed promise.
10:05Karishma's advert was strong.
10:07And while I don't pretend to know much about TikTok,
10:10I know a good campaign when I see one.
10:13Well done, Connor.
10:16Clarity and consistency are key.
10:19Creativity is great, but if it doesn't sell,
10:22it's just watered down the drain.
10:25And, oh, one last thing.
10:27Don't offend your client.
10:28You don't win business by pouring petrol on it.
10:34He's still angry and it was months ago.
10:38He's still angry.
10:39Do you think he's justified in those statements?
10:42Yeah, definitely.
10:43I mean, you were nodding.
10:44You were like, yeah, clear.
10:46That keep it simple message is so important
10:49because if you start to get it too complicated,
10:51you lose your buyers.
10:53But also never slag off the experts.
10:56Like you're doing your research
10:58and you know what's going on in the marketplace.
11:00And then you've got two of the biggest brand leaders
11:02and you've got cans.
11:04Nah, we're not doing that.
11:05Oh, that's loads of rubbish.
11:06It was bad.
11:08Shall we remind ourselves?
11:09We kind of opted to go for a carton.
11:12We were also thinking of going towards down the can route,
11:14but you know, the cans,
11:15I feel like a lot of people are doing them at the moment.
11:18And also, if you haven't opened a can,
11:20you're going to have to drink that in one sitting.
11:22The carton, you know,
11:23you lot are dissing up the cans.
11:24I'm a can man.
11:25So I'm going to take that to my heart now.
11:29Sir.
11:33But like, we've all been there.
11:35We've all put our foot in it.
11:37We've all started to say a sentence
11:38and then gone,
11:38oh no, how am I going to backtrack this?
11:41But he didn't.
11:42He stood on his business
11:42because he really does believe that cans aren't good.
11:45Honestly, and it did seem, Alison,
11:46like he was just not cut out for it.
11:50You know, is, is that the case
11:52that some people are just natural?
11:53They can get up, do the thing
11:55or can anybody learn how to pitch brilliantly?
11:58You can learn.
11:59It is a learn trait.
12:00But again, in the short timeframe that they've got,
12:03if you want to win the task,
12:05you're probably better to bring up
12:06a better pitcher into play.
12:08But a lot of it comes back to
12:10knowing what you're talking about.
12:12Like to me, there wasn't much practice in there
12:14when you did the research,
12:15running through what you're going to say,
12:16what you're going to do,
12:17how you're going to say it.
12:18To me, there was no research
12:20put in.
12:20It was awkward,
12:21but beautiful television.
12:22You're great for television.
12:24We love that.
12:24That was one of our favourite bits.
12:27Now, as well as the pitches,
12:29the candidates did a bit of TikTok selling
12:31and Apprentice first.
12:33Lots of firsts this series
12:35for the big series.
12:37How good was Team Alphas?
12:39Like no notes.
12:41Very good.
12:41I liked the Connor thought
12:42that this was like
12:43a brand new TV show he was making.
12:45Well, they had a hook.
12:46They had a hook.
12:46They had production.
12:47They had a storyline.
12:49They had a narrative.
12:49It was great.
12:50And I actually think
12:51it really, really paid off.
12:52And it's just a shame
12:54that the actual product wasn't good,
12:56but it was entertaining.
12:57And I think that
12:58the advertising experts,
12:59Big Zoo himself,
13:00massive on social media.
13:01You know,
13:02if they say that
13:02they're still watching,
13:03then that's a good thing, right?
13:05Yeah.
13:05Because TikTok is full of people
13:07trying to influence you
13:09to buy things all the time.
13:10So Connor was right on the money
13:12when he said
13:12that this thing needs something
13:13to keep people locked in,
13:14which was the dicing
13:15in the water at the end.
13:16So they got,
13:17and it gave Levi something to do.
13:19Exactly.
13:20Dean, what's the wildest thing
13:21you've ever done
13:21to get someone hooked
13:23into your social media?
13:25Spot on where that question was going.
13:26What time does this go?
13:28Whoa, it's a family show.
13:30The worst,
13:31I mean,
13:31the worst thing I've ever done,
13:33I think,
13:34honestly,
13:35like if I'm being paid
13:36to like promote something
13:38and I really believe
13:39in that product,
13:40I'd get my kit off.
13:41Would you now?
13:42Yeah.
13:42And does that work?
13:43I mean,
13:44I've not tried it yet.
13:46Maybe I'll give it a go.
13:47But I could start,
13:48I'm thinking if I,
13:49if I,
13:49if I follow Connor's strategy,
13:50I could start the TikTok live.
13:52Hear me out, Alison.
13:53I could,
13:53I could start the live
13:55fully clothed.
13:56Okay.
13:56And then the more people buy,
13:59the more clothes I take off.
14:00I actually think it might work
14:01the other way, right?
14:02Yes, I thought it would.
14:04Thank you, Angela.
14:05Yeah, okay.
14:06We want Dean to keep his clothes on.
14:07Okay.
14:08Where are you going to get to
14:08in three seconds?
14:10Well, you're still listening.
14:12I've got you in.
14:13I've got you in, Dean.
14:15How would you like to buy this
14:16rosemary oil for your hair?
14:18While I've got you.
14:19But we,
14:20you know,
14:20we've all,
14:20we've all been there
14:21when you've sat there at night time,
14:22you can't sleep
14:22and suddenly you're buying
14:23an acupuncture belt
14:24that you don't need.
14:25I love them though.
14:26I know.
14:26I've got one.
14:27I've used it once.
14:28Oh, a little Shiazoo match.
14:30Yeah, I've got one.
14:30That's what I got.
14:31I know, they're so good.
14:31Can we get the same one?
14:32Probably.
14:33Did Andrea sell it to us?
14:34Yeah.
14:35She can sell me anything
14:36on TikTok.
14:37That one.
14:40Team Alpha
14:40nailed the TikTok live.
14:43Team Eclipse, however.
14:45Their ads,
14:46epic.
14:47It was described
14:47as electric.
14:49Why are you laughing?
14:51I mean, come on.
14:52Come on.
14:52It was electric.
14:54It was brilliant.
14:55But we get a,
14:56sometimes we get a bit
14:57ahead of ourselves
14:58on this show.
15:00We do.
15:01We do.
15:02So what are you saying?
15:02It was grand.
15:03It was good.
15:04It was a fellow
15:05with his top off
15:06punching a camera.
15:07No.
15:08No, no, no.
15:09Oh, no.
15:09All right, thirsty ladies.
15:11All right.
15:11No.
15:12How many times did Brie Wine
15:13dot and iPlayer then, Alison?
15:14I think the first thing
15:15that she did incredibly well,
15:17most people,
15:17a boxing task,
15:18would have gone,
15:19oh, let's get a boxing ring.
15:20She went off-piste
15:21and she found
15:22an electric studio
15:23that straight away
15:24made that impact.
15:25So I think,
15:27no, it's not.
15:27It was the camera shot.
15:28It was the curls.
15:29It was fantastic.
15:30No, you just said
15:31it was only okay.
15:32We just got a bit
15:33ahead of ourselves.
15:35No, no.
15:35Sometimes.
15:35Right, it is time
15:37to bring in
15:37our fired candidate
15:39where it was very much
15:40H2 no
15:41rather than H2O.
15:42Let's remind ourselves
15:43of her firing.
15:45My gut feeling
15:46is that...
15:53Roxanne,
15:53you're fired.
15:55Thanks for the opportunity.
15:57Thanks, Tim.
15:58Thanks for our Nesperity.
15:59Good luck, Roxanne.
16:06The chilli pepper pocket rocket
16:08has arrived.
16:08It's Roxanne, everybody.
16:12Oh, my God.
16:13Oh, thank you.
16:15Thank you for being here.
16:16Now, what was it like
16:17watching that task back?
16:19Yeah, it was intense,
16:20but it gave me perspective.
16:22I was able to look at it
16:24from a bird's eye view
16:25and just kind of see
16:26all the kind of mistakes
16:27that were made.
16:28Not all of them
16:29were from me,
16:29but, yeah,
16:31it was a tough watch,
16:33but it gave me
16:34the closure that I needed.
16:35Did anything surprise you?
16:39I think how quick everyone was
16:41to kind of throw me
16:42under the bus.
16:43Yeah.
16:44We noticed that.
16:45Yeah.
16:46Yeah.
16:46But it is what it is.
16:49It's the aim of the game
16:49and, yeah,
16:50it's easy to just kind of
16:51with being a sub-team lead,
16:53it's easy to kind of
16:54throw me under the bus.
16:56In the middle of that task,
16:58you were very sure
16:59that the failure
17:00was not down to you.
17:01Do you feel the same
17:02looking back at that?
17:03I feel like a few tweaks
17:05could have been made
17:06definitely on the branding
17:07side of things.
17:08For example,
17:09the compass
17:09and the mountains maybe.
17:11I mean,
17:12I then said
17:13it was like peaks.
17:14So kind of changed
17:15that storyline a little.
17:17But I feel like
17:18because it was an advert task
17:19and ultimate failure
17:21was on the advert team
17:22and I wasn't on that side.
17:25So I still don't believe
17:26it was 100% down to me.
17:28But I still do take
17:28accountability for like
17:30some of the stuff
17:31that was done.
17:32I quite liked,
17:34I know you were picked up
17:36on it,
17:36but I quite liked
17:37how you were gear changing
17:39away from mountains
17:40where they were like,
17:41the mountains don't make sense.
17:42We're like peak performance.
17:44Yeah.
17:44To me,
17:44that made sense
17:46and that could have been
17:46something that you,
17:47you know,
17:49leaned into further.
17:49Yeah.
17:50I feel like if the story
17:51was like more thought of
17:53from the advert side of things,
17:55they could have kind of
17:55leant into it,
17:56like you say,
17:57with the peaks
17:59and finding yourself
18:00on your journey
18:01and it being like North H2O,
18:03finding your true north
18:04rather than it being
18:06like a social divide,
18:08you know,
18:08the North and South.
18:09Well,
18:09the compass could have been
18:10a bit hippy-dippy
18:10rather than like Columbo.
18:13It did look like
18:14Christopher Columbus,
18:16like designed it.
18:17Were you going to Bali
18:18to find yourself?
18:20Jumping the northern line
18:21instead.
18:23I think you could have
18:24made it work.
18:25I know.
18:26Yeah.
18:26If we had more time
18:27than maybe.
18:28Yeah.
18:28I'm so interested
18:29in the time
18:29because we're watching it
18:31going,
18:32God's sake guys,
18:32get it together.
18:33You know,
18:33you think you know
18:34everything when you're
18:35sat at home,
18:35but what's it actually
18:36like being sat there
18:37in that pressure?
18:38Because Karen's like
18:39tapping her watch
18:40and then you've got Tim
18:41like rolling his eyes
18:42and you're like,
18:43yeah,
18:43we know,
18:43we're rolling his eyes.
18:44I'm aware of that,
18:45Tim.
18:46Thank you very much.
18:47What does that feel like?
18:48It's so intense.
18:49I mean,
18:49it's easy to just
18:50sit back at home
18:51and like judge,
18:52but when you're
18:52in the moment,
18:53it's like so much
18:54goes wrong in that moment
18:56and then so many
18:57opinions as well.
18:58So you end up making
18:59like you waste more
19:00time focusing on
19:02what everyone else
19:03is saying rather
19:03than the actual task.
19:05So yeah,
19:05it's very tough.
19:08Let's take it back
19:09to the start
19:09because it was
19:11commuters that you
19:13chose as the target
19:14market.
19:14So in the brainstorm,
19:16things then kind of
19:17went in a slightly
19:18different direction.
19:19Shall we remind
19:20ourselves?
19:21I think we could
19:22definitely make it work.
19:23We can just make it
19:24fun and exciting.
19:25Do you know what I think
19:25would be good?
19:27North H2O
19:28supporting you
19:29to reach your peak.
19:30Yeah,
19:30I love that.
19:31But you're dividing
19:32demographics.
19:33I'm just worried
19:34about the connotations
19:35of the North and South divide.
19:37But then maybe
19:37in the logo,
19:38we can do some
19:39mountains as well.
19:40You know,
19:40we are supporting
19:41everybody to reach
19:42their peak.
19:43I think it's tricky.
19:44I think it's a bit
19:44of a risk.
19:46Supporting everybody
19:46to reach their peak
19:47feels like
19:49exciting.
19:50Yeah, man.
19:51I mean.
19:52Maybe not for commuters.
19:53I don't think
19:54they'll like to scale
19:55up mountains
19:56to get to work.
19:57But we were kind
19:58of getting there,
19:59you know,
19:59had we lent
20:00more to the storyline
20:01and about travelling
20:03and finding yourself
20:04and not everyone
20:05likes the job
20:06that they're in.
20:07So some people
20:07might do four
20:08or five different jobs.
20:10See, you're even
20:10doing it now,
20:11I'm so here for.
20:13Once a businesswoman,
20:14always a businesswoman.
20:16Skinning the cat
20:16right now
20:17in front of our eyes
20:18and it's absolutely
20:19mesmerising.
20:20Well, to be fair,
20:22and I think this
20:22has got to be a highlight,
20:23the client said
20:24that they actually
20:24preferred H2O North
20:26over Thrive
20:28as a brand.
20:29Wow.
20:29I mean,
20:29that is obviously
20:30validating
20:31and reassuring
20:32to know that
20:33like it wasn't terrible.
20:35So that just shows
20:36like it was the advert
20:37side of things
20:38that was the issue.
20:39Yeah.
20:39And I think just
20:40had they developed
20:41the concept
20:41a bit more
20:42and I think
20:43Connor should have
20:43brought someone
20:44at least back
20:44from the advert team
20:45to just kind of
20:46take accountability
20:47to be honest.
20:48So I've tried my best.
20:49I communicated well
20:50within the team
20:51and I gave out my ideas.
20:54I was a good listener
20:55and I felt like
20:56I was working
20:57calmly under pressure
20:58and I did my best.
21:00So yeah,
21:01it is what it is.
21:02Back at the house,
21:03I loved the bonds
21:04and you could see it
21:05quite early on
21:06but the bonds
21:07that were performing
21:08with the girls particularly
21:10and I know Rothenau
21:11and Karish
21:11were like,
21:12if it doesn't come back
21:13I'm going to go nuts.
21:14I know.
21:15They were my soul sisters
21:16in there.
21:17They just helped me
21:18through everything.
21:19So it was nice
21:20to watch that back
21:21and see that
21:22they wanted me
21:23to come back
21:23back in the house as well.
21:25What do you miss
21:26most about it?
21:27Um,
21:29nothing.
21:31That's a hard move.
21:32Nothing.
21:33I'll tell you what,
21:34I don't miss
21:34the single beds.
21:35They look so uncomfortable.
21:38What are they like
21:39to sleep in?
21:40Awful, yeah.
21:41So I was looking forward
21:42to going back
21:42to my, you know,
21:43my usual routine at home.
21:45Booked myself a spa day
21:46so that was nice.
21:49She doesn't miss anything.
21:50Doesn't care.
21:52No, I do miss like,
21:54you know,
21:55connecting with people
21:56that I probably
21:56wouldn't normally
21:57connect with
21:57and just like
21:59the whole experience
22:00is just phenomenal.
22:01Like to even get
22:02to the stage,
22:03like I didn't even think
22:03I'd get this far.
22:04So yeah,
22:05very grateful for it all.
22:06Well, you were
22:07absolutely brilliant.
22:08You were.
22:09Okay, so we've reached
22:10the point in the show
22:11where we,
22:13well, you guys actually,
22:14get to choose
22:15a little tune
22:16that helps us
22:17understand
22:18how the task
22:19went inside your brain.
22:22So what have you got?
22:24I mean,
22:24I'm very interested
22:25to see where we went
22:26with this.
22:26Alison,
22:27what did you go for?
22:28So I went for something
22:29that I felt,
22:30if you look at
22:31our friend Kieran's advert,
22:33he kind of got knocked down
22:34and he got back up again.
22:36And to me,
22:36thrive means
22:39overcoming problems
22:40and getting up
22:40and keep them going.
22:41So I went for this one.
22:44I get knocked down.
22:46I get knocked down.
22:51Nice choice.
22:54Beautiful job.
22:55Like these bangers.
22:56Wow.
22:56Very motivational.
22:58Is that what you walk out
22:58on stage to?
22:59Honestly, Angela,
23:01yes, it is.
23:02Yeah.
23:03I love that.
23:04What about you, Dean?
23:05What's your shower song?
23:06Look, I had to,
23:08I had to pay
23:09homage
23:10to our girl Karishma
23:12who held down
23:14not only this episode
23:15but she held down
23:16the careers
23:18of everybody else
23:19that was in her team.
23:20She really
23:22worked the hardest.
23:24So I chose this.
23:28Oh.
23:32She really did.
23:35That's her tune.
23:37Yes.
23:38She's queen.
23:39Crying her immediately.
23:40Give her the 250 case.
23:42Yeah.
23:44Here's the checkbook.
23:45Just write it now.
23:47Do you think she could go
23:48all the way?
23:48I feel like she could go
23:49the full way.
23:50Like I love her.
23:51She's so authentic.
23:52What you see
23:53is what you get
23:53and she's just a boss babe.
23:55So yeah,
23:55I'm rooting for her.
23:56She's a boss babe.
23:56Yeah.
23:57Yeah.
23:57We move on to task five.
23:59Selling flowers.
24:00Okay.
24:00Lord Sugar wants the candidates
24:02to turn petals
24:03into profit
24:03because nothing says
24:05serious business
24:05like arguing
24:06over a bunch
24:06of hydrangeas.
24:08Let's be honest.
24:08And of course
24:09I have got
24:10an exclusive clip
24:11to get us
24:12properly excited.
24:14Fresh flowers
24:14to treat yourself
24:15or your loved ones?
24:16Just a special deal
24:17for you.
24:19It's so beautiful.
24:20What are you thinking?
24:21$49.99.
24:22It's a little too high
24:23for me.
24:23Okay.
24:24You could maybe
24:24like put a few
24:25in your hair.
24:26No.
24:27Can I interest you
24:28in fresh bouquet of flowers?
24:30It is a tough crowd.
24:32How are you?
24:33Hello.
24:33I see smiles up there.
24:35Why don't you come over
24:36and treat yourself?
24:38Treat yourself.
24:42Alison,
24:43what is this task
24:45aiming to kind of
24:46show Lord Sugar
24:47in terms of skills?
24:48I think it's
24:49a 360 of business.
24:50So procurement,
24:51how much are you
24:51buying these things for?
24:52What are you selling them for?
24:54What's your margin on it?
24:56And how much money
24:57are you going to make?
24:57Because a lot of people
24:58drop the prices.
24:59They don't make any money
25:00in business.
25:01And ultimately,
25:02that's the thing.
25:03Sell,
25:03make money,
25:04stay in business,
25:05repeat.
25:05Okay.
25:06Easy when you put it like that.
25:07Yeah.
25:08I might try it sometime.
25:11Dean,
25:11what do you think
25:12of this particular task?
25:13I mean,
25:14this is my dream.
25:15Like if I wasn't sitting here
25:16doing this,
25:16I'd open a florist.
25:18What?
25:18That's my dream gig.
25:19Sorry,
25:20I'm just saying it.
25:21Sorry,
25:22don't sound so surprised.
25:23I'm delicate.
25:24No,
25:24you'd be great.
25:25I'd love to see
25:25a chop of rose.
25:26I love this type of task
25:29on The Apprentice
25:30because it's always
25:31high energy.
25:32And I love,
25:33and I already know
25:34that,
25:35you know,
25:35the choppy bit
25:36that they do
25:36where it's like
25:37they put the big
25:39music in
25:40and it goes all like
25:41fast,
25:41fast,
25:42fast.
25:42And then,
25:42and then it goes all
25:43like action-packed,
25:44action-packed,
25:45action-packed.
25:45And then there's just
25:46like a silence
25:47and they're all sweating.
25:49Yeah.
25:49I love that.
25:50I love the high octane,
25:51the drama.
25:52I want to see,
25:53I want to see peonies
25:54in the air.
25:55I want to see
25:56Harry say something.
25:59Obviously you're
26:00in the house.
26:00Like what,
26:01what do we,
26:01is Harry,
26:02are we going to see
26:03a bit more of him?
26:04Yeah.
26:04Where's Harry?
26:05Harry is really chatty.
26:06Like once you get
26:06to know him,
26:07but I feel like right now
26:08he's just kind of
26:09in the background,
26:11you know,
26:11try to be the funny guy
26:12and you'll see a bit
26:13more of his personality.
26:14I'm hoping.
26:15I'm hoping.
26:16Strategically hanging
26:16back a little bit?
26:17Maybe strategic,
26:18you know,
26:19but we don't like
26:20coasters in this game.
26:21We don't.
26:22We do not.
26:22Floaters?
26:23Floaters.
26:23So it'll be interesting
26:24to see like who's
26:25actually coasting
26:26and who's actually here,
26:27you know,
26:27to stay and,
26:29you know,
26:30get involved in the game.
26:31Yeah.
26:32Sorry,
26:33I totally like.
26:34I love it.
26:35It's so dramatic.
26:39Thank you so much Roxanne.
26:41Best of luck
26:41with everything that you do
26:42and thank you so much Dean
26:44and Alison too.
26:50And if you think
26:51you have what it takes
26:52to be Lord Sugar's
26:53next business partner,
26:54applications are still
26:55open for Series 21.
