Ahmed Gaber, a blogger from Egypt, captured the shocking moment while meeting with friends at a seaside cafe in Alexandria.
The clip shows people sitting and chatting as the ocean looks peaceful until a huge wave surges in without warning.
Chairs and other items are seen being swept into the water as the wave floods the cafe area in seconds.
The unexpected splash left everyone scrambling as the relaxing seaside scene instantly turned into a watery mess.
The clip was shared on Instagram where one user commented: "It brings you rose salad, and fresh fish"
