WOMAN WAKES UP AT 1AM TO FIND HOME FLOODED AFTER LOUD BANG
WITH VID
By Divij Mayer
A content creator was jolted awake in the middle of the night after hearing an aggressive knock at her door only to step straight into freezing cold water flooding her home.
The video, filmed by Saida Hariz from Germantown, Maryland, USA shows her recounting the chaotic early-morning moment when she woke up around one a.m. and unknowingly walked through standing water while half asleep.
Management quickly arrived as Saida scrambled to understand what was happening, scooping water into buckets while workers brought in industrial equipment to shut off the water and begin cleanup.
Still groggy and barefoot in icy conditions, she described the surreal feeling of dealing with an emergency while her brain was barely awake.
Saida shared that her kids remained asleep through most of the ordeal as crews worked nonstop to contain the damage.
The clip was shared on social media where one user commented: “Oh no! I'm so sorry this happened to you. It happened to me too before. Sending hugs to you and your family.”

00:00I heard the loudest knock on my door at 1 a.m. in the morning and you won't believe when I woke up to go open the door I stepped on cold freezing water on my way and I was still half asleep. I didn't know what was going on.
00:13Turns out that my house was flooding. There was a leakage in the bathroom somehow on one of the faucets and my neighbors downstairs noticed that their ceiling started dripping water and their smoke alarm went on.
00:25So they quickly called management to see what the heck is going on. Management came to my house. We were all fast asleep. It was like 1 a.m. We sleep at like 10.
00:34Anyway, we started scooping up the water from the floor. They really came with all the gears and they were so proactive that I was honestly, my eyes were still asleep.
00:43I had no idea what's going on. But with that, I was scooping the water and putting it in buckets and they came in with their gears trying to help me do the suction and we tried to turn off the water.
00:53Next, they came in with, I used a mop to try to dry it off, but my carpets were wet. The ones like going to the bedroom and the ones on the living room.
01:03So this time, my brain was still like kind of frozen because imagine waking up in the middle of the night, you are still half asleep and your feet are soaking wet with cold freezing water.
01:14You guys don't understand. The weather is so cold right now. So like this was the worst thing you ever wanted.
01:19But luckily, these guys were so proactive. They came in. The second team came in around 2 a.m. because I couldn't go to sleep anymore.
01:27And what they did is they tried to like remove the carpet filling underneath. My kids were half asleep and this is all taking place while they're still sleeping.
01:35Loud noises from the machine. They came and they also second part was disinfecting the house.
01:40And then they used this other like water vacuum to suck all the water out the carpet.
01:47Honestly, I can't imagine how I would have done this without them.
01:50I mean, they were so proactive in the fact that they could do this in the middle of the night at 1 and 2 a.m.
01:55I felt so bad because it was freezing cold outside and they came in with their gears and their coats and they were trying to help me do this.
02:01And the same time, they were going down to the neighbor's house and doing the same.
02:04But damn, this was a movie.
