00:00So for too many, particularly single mums, they introduce a new partner into their life, into their children's lives.
00:05And then later down the line, they discover that partner is actually guilty of child cruelty in the past.
00:10And that's what we want to protect them from. So we tried to do this last year.
00:14We're trying again now. We're asking the British government to please, please back us.
00:18Essentially, we want to create a child cruelty register so that if someone is convicted of child cruelty, when they
00:23leave the prison gate, because we know they are still a risk.
00:26They are still a coward who is willing to abuse children. If they change name, if they try to move
00:30county, if they start a new relationship where children are in the household, they have to declare it to the
00:36police so they can be monitored.
