00:01No, I'm gonna pour my drink on her.
00:03Arthur!
00:04Can you muzzle your woman?
00:05You're not coming for my husband!
00:08Dinner is served.
00:11Welcome to Maths after the dinner party,
00:14and if they're all gonna be like that one,
00:16what the hell have we just signed up for?
00:18Let's face it, we all love a little married at first sight,
00:20chaos and carnage, so you have come to the right place.
00:23But if you think the dinner parties are wild,
00:26what happens off camera is way more unhinged.
00:30I'm not convinced we're ready for it, but here we are,
00:31so let's get into it.
00:32We have explosive unseen footage that never made it to air.
00:36No one has access like we do.
00:38So welcome to the Inner Circle.
00:40We're asking all the questions that you want answered.
00:43It's Maths like you've never seen it before,
00:45and nothing is off limits.
00:47I'm Jules, joined by these two superstars, Laura and Brittany,
00:50as we sift through the chaos for your viewing pleasure.
00:54And tonight, it begins with a bang.
00:56I mean, we're gonna be dissecting
00:58that diabolical dinner party.
01:00Chris is gonna be in to address Brooke's pregnancy news.
01:04And we have Danny.
01:06He's coming in, who we all have quite a few questions for.
01:09Now, we need to talk about Brooke,
01:11because she has had such a change in her personality.
01:14And I think it was like a bait and switch.
01:16No one saw that coming.
01:17It was definitely a plot twist.
01:19I know when she came into this series at the start, I thought,
01:23wow, this woman was beautiful and stunning and she was so lovely.
01:27And then over the past week, I have been shooketh to my core.
01:31The character assassinations that we've seen her behave towards other people,
01:37the way she is so malicious and so much intent,
01:42it was shocking and actually really hard to watch for me.
01:45Like I was, it took me back, I felt like I was at school
01:48and there was just bullying in the schoolyard.
01:49I saw a really good comment today that described it as a personality transplant.
01:53It was like a completely different version.
01:54I've had one of those.
01:55No, that's a hair transplant.
01:57Geez, I like you.
01:59Sorry, it looks great though.
02:00No, it's fine.
02:01Well, Brooke is a hot topic on the internet right now for a number of different reasons,
02:05which we'll get to later.
02:06But first, her behaviour tonight at the dinner party was appalling
02:09and Stella and Alyssa faced the brunt of it.
02:12It was a hard watch, so I can't even imagine how they're feeling.
02:15But before they join us on the couch, let's take a look back
02:18at where this tension all began.
02:21I can say this whole experiment so far, I was all for caring about what people thought
02:28and I've just thought, you know what, I don't care anymore
02:31because I just see so much fakeness going around and I'm over it.
02:35Red flags.
02:36Surely he gets on your nerves at times.
02:38No.
02:39I don't believe you.
02:40I don't believe you.
02:41100% agree.
02:42I liked the way that you guys were interacting at the dinner party
02:46when you were talking about each other.
02:47But I also think that...
02:48Hang on babe, I'm not finished.
02:49When you were sitting together...
02:52Do we want to be here all day?
02:53Because Alyssa will finish then.
02:55You need to have a flow and realise that I'm standing up for myself
02:59because I see someone like you.
03:00I'm so deep, I'm so deep.
03:01I don't think you're deep, I just think you're dumb.
03:04Hey, hey.
03:05This is very not productive and if you want to like...
03:07Don't touch me please.
03:08If you would like to have a chat...
03:10No, babe.
03:10Okay.
03:11Hey babe, while you're at it, get the stripper boots off, babe.
03:15Get the stripper boots off.
03:17Like, you know what, if you're going to buy stripper boots,
03:19buy 100% lambs and buy faux leather.
03:21Excuse me, that's not nice, babe.
03:24Alyssa, shut up.
03:25That's not nice.
03:26Alyssa, shut up.
03:26Shut up, Alyssa.
03:27You ratchet idiot.
03:28What?
03:29What?
03:30Excuse me.
03:30You're in a fake relationship, babe.
03:31You're in a fake relationship.
03:33Clap, clap, clap.
03:35And I hope your parents are really proud watching this.
03:38I really hope they're proud watching this.
03:41Like, I'm done with your bullying.
03:43Now.
03:46Do you know what?
03:47I'm not everybody's cup of tea.
03:49Leave me alone.
03:49I'm sorry.
03:50Loser.
03:53Loser.
03:55Loser.
03:56Oh.
03:57My.
03:58God.
03:59Alyssa.
04:00Stella.
04:01Welcome to the hot seat.
04:02That is, I mean, for everyone, that is so hard to watch.
04:05Like, it's so hard.
04:06I can only imagine what it was like for you to experience that.
04:08How did you manage to keep your cool throughout all of that?
04:13I'll take a minute to start answering.
04:15Or did you?
04:17So, look, I feel like for me personally, I just couldn't believe the behaviour that was
04:23in front of me and that was going on.
04:25I actually had to take a minute to, is this really happening?
04:28Mm.
04:29Am I sitting here?
04:30Are these girls that don't even know me, don't even know Stella, are they literally
04:35coming at us?
04:36Yeah.
04:36Do they know us?
04:37No.
04:38And how dare they?
04:39How dare they?
04:40It was, it was utterly disrespectful.
04:43You know, we're there to work on a relationship, to build a relationship, to find love.
04:48And these girl gang are all sitting together.
04:51We're sitting next to our husbands.
04:52Mm.
04:53And they're just ganging up on us.
04:55Do you know what your problem was?
04:56Your problem was for them that you handled it too well.
04:59Because you gave them nothing back.
05:01You were grace under fire.
05:03I just want to say, I thought you looked great, loved the boots.
05:06It looked to us like it came out of nowhere.
05:10Like you were minding your own business.
05:11Yeah.
05:12Having, you know, parmigiana.
05:13And then Brooke just came at you out of nowhere.
05:16What are we not seeing?
05:17So, that is the question that baffles me.
05:20Because these girls don't know me.
05:22They don't know who I am.
05:23But obviously I'm a confidant.
05:25I am a bit loud.
05:26I have a lot to say.
05:27Nothing wrong with that.
05:27But I'm not a nasty girl.
05:29All right.
05:29Well look, we're talking about behind the scenes stuff.
05:31And we do have more.
05:32I mean, there's so much more on this show.
05:33Love it.
05:34Show it.
05:34Show it.
05:36Okay.
05:36Brooke said tonight that she returned because she had some unfinished business.
05:39Yes.
05:40She went across some exclusive footage that didn't make the episode.
05:43Roll the tape.
05:44Let's go.
05:46Should I start it now?
05:48Where should I kick up this dolloping now?
05:50Fuck yes.
05:51Because I'm ready.
05:54Should I start now?
05:55Are you going to back me too?
05:56Babe, are you joking?
05:58Do you know who we are?
06:00I just want to know, Stella, what is your problem with me?
06:04I'm not calling you out in front of a whole circle of people and making you out to be the
06:09bad person because I see someone like you.
06:11I'm so deep.
06:11I'm so deep.
06:12I don't think you're deep.
06:13I just think you're fucking dumb.
06:15What are you waiting?
06:17I've got another target now.
06:19Who's the target?
06:20Alyssa.
06:21Oh, yes.
06:22You know that.
06:23Yes, we do.
06:26Babe, can you please slow that bread roll?
06:29Get it.
06:30Get it, Alyssa.
06:31I'll back you.
06:32No, do it.
06:33I can't.
06:33I've already fucked her up too much.
06:35No, do it.
06:35Hey, do it.
06:38So, Alyssa.
06:42How does it feel now knowing that this was so orchestrated and that it was so targeted
06:46and that there's people who just decide that they think you're fake or they're going
06:50to go you in your relationship?
06:52Stella, this is affecting you.
06:54Yeah, this is.
06:55Stella, why does that make you so upset now watching back?
06:58It's a lot.
06:59No, look, I don't know.
07:00I don't know.
07:00It's a lot.
07:01It's a lot.
07:02As I said in my, you know, back story, like, people think like, you know, I'm this old
07:06tough and whatever, but like, I'm actually very sensitive.
07:08I'm highly empathetic.
07:09Yeah.
07:09And when I actually watched this whole thing back and when I saw Alyssa giving the interview
07:13crying, I started crying.
07:14Not for myself, but just in general how people just treat each other like that.
07:20For me and for like, obviously everyone that was at that dinner table, we never even,
07:26we can't even comprehend what was said because there's, they're cutting out a lot of things
07:31that cannot be played on TV.
07:33The language, the foulness.
07:35Oh, so it's worse.
07:36So it's 10 times, 20 times worse.
07:39And there was so much irony that they're like, hope your mum's proud.
07:42And then like, it's such immature, unnecessary fighting style.
07:47Do you wish that they were here for some accountability?
07:49I personally don't care.
07:51Like, I, the apologies came in, right, right after this whole shebang's finished.
07:57It doesn't matter.
07:58It's not authentic.
07:59It wasn't authentic.
08:00What's the justification?
08:01I'm sorry, but it wasn't authentic.
08:03I got a, I would actually like to get my phone and I've got a receipt.
08:07Let's get it.
08:07Let's get it.
08:08We've got your phone.
08:08I mean, we can get your phone.
08:09I would like to read out a message that I received.
08:12Oh, thank you.
08:13A message that I received probably five weeks after this had happened.
08:19Okay.
08:20And I got it via Instagram and Brooke reached out.
08:23I hadn't had like a one-on-one time with her on her apology.
08:26No.
08:26But she took no accountability in this text message, so I'm going to read it to you.
08:30Cool.
08:30We really do have the tea here, don't we?
08:32Hey, Alyssa.
08:33How are you going?
08:34I'm sorry it's taken me a while to reach out.
08:36I've taken a lot of time to switch off and think about everything,
08:39but I really want to apologise again for what happened
08:42at the last dinner party I was at.
08:44I was going through a lot mentally at the time
08:47and unfortunately let the experiment get the better of me.
08:50An executive actually did come to me and pushed that I should go for you
08:54and Stella that night and keep stirring shit up.
08:56And I really regret not trusting myself instead of listening
09:00to senior people and the other people that knew you prior.
09:04Hang on.
09:06I don't expect you to reply, but I just want you to know
09:09where I'm at.
09:10She took no accountability.
09:12She's blaming the producers, the executives.
09:14Which also means...
09:14I'm sorry, the producers aren't like that.
09:17That apology, we all agree, is pretty lame.
09:20Pathetic.
09:21Blaming producers.
09:22Yeah.
09:22Are there producers in the dinner party?
09:24No.
09:25No.
09:25No.
09:26No.
09:26Well, the producers, like, they're there, but they're not at the...
09:30Like, they're not...
09:31It's just us sitting around a table.
09:33And for hours.
09:33And the crew is there filming and whatnot,
09:36but the producers aren't in the room.
09:37Well, look, naturally we wanted answers from Gia and Brooke tonight.
09:40However, Brooke declined.
09:41Gia was set to come in, but unexpectedly she flew home.
09:45Are you kidding me?
09:46So she didn't come?
09:47Hang on.
09:47She didn't come.
09:48She did come, but she left.
09:51Did you guys hold her accountable, actually?
09:53I mean, we wanted to get the answers from her.
09:55We haven't had a chance to speak to her yet.
09:56Wow.
09:57Okay.
09:58She still hasn't learnt.
09:59Look, even though they're not here, we do have to forge ahead.
10:01And we have got some backstage footage that, to be honest,
10:04I think it's even worse than some of the stuff we saw play out
10:06on the actual show.
10:08And I do think that you guys have to see it.
10:09Hey, I'll take my tissue, guys.
10:12I'll strap in, you guys.
10:15Get a video.
10:16Get a photo of the cool girls.
10:17Like, get a photo.
10:18Get a photo.
10:20Get a photo for the lols.
10:23You like...
10:24Do you like the cool girls better?
10:25Or do you like the NBLs?
10:27I am the cool girls.
10:28Do you like us better than the NBLs?
10:31Who are the...
10:32What's NBL?
10:33NBL, Natural Born Losers.
10:35Oh, my God.
10:36Is this happening?
10:37So mature.
10:40I just said to him, do you like us better than the NBLs?
10:43And he goes, what is that?
10:44I said, Natural Born Losers.
10:47What do you think?
10:48Yeah, but who are they?
10:50Yeah, it's the whole other table except for each.
10:51It's been great.
10:53Wow.
10:54Did you guys know this term, the NBLs?
10:56Did you know that you're being called Natural Born Losers
10:58behind your backs?
10:59Nah, but it's just stupid.
11:01Like, I'm just...
11:02Alyssa, by your own admission in your intro and even warned by your mum,
11:08you're a pain in the arse.
11:09I am.
11:10I'll admit that I'm a pain in the arse.
11:12I'm a good pain in the arse.
11:14Alyssa, we haven't seen any of that.
11:17Like, I thought you were going to be the batshit crazy one.
11:19Yeah, yeah, yeah.
11:19But Stella, you've got to verify this.
11:21What?
11:22Is there...
11:22Is there some...
11:24Is she annoying?
11:26Look, no, look, at the end of the day...
11:28Give us your...
11:28There was two looks at one.
11:30Okay, look, at the end of the day...
11:31Wait, why did she need help?
11:32It's...
11:32I'm joking.
11:33No, with Alyssa, you either take it or leave it.
11:37I think people won't stand in the middle.
11:39It's either people are going to love her or people will...
11:41Don't like it.
11:42...probably dislike her.
11:42It's just the way she is.
11:44But I'm very...
11:46I'm an empathetic person as well.
11:48I love with my whole heart.
11:49Yeah.
11:50And what you see is what you get.
11:51I'm very dry.
11:52I'm very direct.
11:53But I'm not nasty and I'm not malicious.
11:55I'm funny.
11:56I'm the funny one.
11:57But do you know what I want to add in here?
11:58And modest.
11:59Sorry.
12:01It does not matter if you're annoying.
12:04It doesn't matter.
12:05Nothing warrants that behaviour.
12:06Ever.
12:07I don't care what you did.
12:09I don't care what you said.
12:10That is the most abhorrent, mean girl, Regina George behaviour.
12:14It is so mean.
12:15But it is interesting because Gia and Brooke didn't seem to think that it was.
12:20This didn't make the episode tonight, but you guys need to strap yourself in.
12:24Have a look at this.
12:25Get fucked, Stella.
12:28Literally.
12:29She's full of shit.
12:31I'm sorry, but look at her.
12:32Come on.
12:34She has a huge victims mentality and she's a fucking pick me.
12:38So that Stella's like MO.
12:41That's that's all Stella is.
12:42So if there's a way that she can be the victim in a situation, she's going to do it.
12:46I know for a fact everyone will watch this show and see that Alyssa is a fake fucking bitch with
12:52those rat shit hair extensions.
12:54If Alyssa and Stella want to get off their fucking high holes for one second, they are not the ones
13:01in charge of this whole thing, sitting up, posing, talking so perfectly all the time because we're on a pageant.
13:07Guys, I was actually a beauty queen.
13:08Her and I are the realest people here.
13:10I'm so sorry that they don't know what it's like to have real friends in the world.
13:14So they're trying to rally people together to be like they're mean girls.
13:17Fuck off.
13:18We're not in high school.
13:19We're real bitches.
13:20We're standing on business.
13:22We're saying what the fuck we think and we're calling out bullshit.
13:25We're real bitches.
13:25I don't think we're mean girls.
13:26I think we're real bitches.
13:27Real bitches.
13:28And the fact that you're not a part of us speaks for itself.
13:32Oh my God.
13:33That's hectic.
13:34Yeah.
13:34Oh my God.
13:35You're right.
13:36You're right.
13:37Oh God.
13:38The crazy thing is, is they're saying things like they're the girls' girls and they're not mean girls.
13:44And you guys are pick me girls, which from us is like could not be more opposite.
13:49I think it's pretty obvious from what we've seen on camera and off camera, premeditated.
13:54I think we can see where the mean girls are coming from.
13:56Do you think that there was any part of Brooke coming back where she might have had even an inkling
14:01of an investment still in Chris?
14:03No.
14:03She just wanted to tear down other women.
14:07He knew that too.
14:08That was her goal.
14:09No.
14:09It was to sabotage everything.
14:12Like she wanted to eat that table alive.
14:14Hand grenade.
14:15Yeah.
14:16It was like she was possessed.
14:17Five of them.
14:18I said it looked like an exorcism.
14:19It was like she clicked.
14:21It was like the light bulb moment where she was possessed.
14:24What you experienced tonight and what everyone saw, it was so hard to watch.
14:28I can only imagine how hard it was for you being on that table and being the receiving end of
14:32all of that.
14:32But we all hope that it's the last that we see of it.
14:35But I'm getting the feeling from what you said that that is absolutely not the case.
14:38More to come.
14:39No, we wait with bated breath.
14:40Drama aside, we do wish you so much luck with your relationships.
14:43We can't wait to have you back here to talk about it all as it all unfolds on the show.
14:47But we do hope that you found the success and the love that you guys came for.
14:50I'm watching soon.
14:51Yes.
14:52All right.
14:52There is still so much more to unpack.
14:54Chris is joining us to tell his side of the story and we've got some pretty shocking unseen footage
14:58that will hopefully answer some of your questions about Brooke's time on the show.
15:03Not to mention the messiah of maths.
15:05John Aiken lifts the lid on the inner workings of this mad experiment.
15:10Well, in classic maths fashion, my feed is absolutely flooded with gossip at the moment.
15:16And let me tell you, some of these comments are absolutely savage.
15:20So let's have a little bit of fun with it.
15:22We have Rachel and Stephen.
15:23They are here to play It's A Match.
15:24Now we have gathered all the nasty little comments from those teeny tiny keyboard warriors.
15:30And Rachel and Stephen are going to guess who they are about.
15:38All righty.
15:39I'm going to dive right in.
15:40Let's get going.
15:44Must be good.
15:46She's giving Jemay's long lost sister from Summer Heights high, but more annoying.
15:53Brooke.
15:53Brooke.
15:55Oh, it's Alisa.
16:00Oh, whoops.
16:01I get it.
16:02Yeah.
16:02Diva energy.
16:03Yeah, I get it.
16:04I get it.
16:05The close ups of blank are tough.
16:08He's a weathered 34 year old.
16:12Who's that about?
16:13Grayson.
16:14Yeah, I'm going to go with Grayson.
16:17No.
16:18Danny.
16:19Oh, no way.
16:21No way.
16:23Danny.
16:23That's harsh.
16:25Um, the winner of blowing things out of proportion goes to...
16:33Me.
16:34I didn't want to say it.
16:39You all right, Beth?
16:40Oh, my gosh.
16:41Wait, me?
16:41No.
16:42Oh, man.
16:43I'm going to...
16:44All right.
16:46Oh, I just put my foot in it for no reason.
16:50You'll be sleeping on the couch tonight, babe.
16:52Ugh.
16:53Did blank say she's a girl's girl?
16:56I think she is a bitch bitch.
16:58Brooke.
16:59Brooke.
16:59Brooke.
17:00Yeah.
17:00That one is so easy.
17:02Yeah, it's Brooke.
17:02Yeah, yeah, yeah.
17:02It's Brooke.
17:03Does this guy brush his hair with a pillow?
17:06Do you?
17:07I don't know.
17:10Thought I'd give away my secrets.
17:12Great secrets.
17:13Is it Steven?
17:14Yeah, it'd be...
17:15It would be Uncle Steve...
17:16Uncle Steve-o.
17:17Uncle Steve-o, yeah!
17:21Oh, my gosh.
17:23Look, they're definitely the lighter of the comments being linked up.
17:26That's for sure.
17:30Look, lesson learned.
17:32Take what you read with a grain of salt.
17:34However, news has been buzzing for some time of Brooke being pregnant
17:38and back with her ex.
17:41Now, she has confirmed that earlier this week.
17:43This rumour has been circulating for a little while around Brooke being pregnant
17:47and we didn't want to address it until it had been confirmed,
17:49but it has been made official.
17:51Brooke has come out just recently with a women's magazine saying that she is pregnant
17:55and she's also engaged.
17:57Now, there's also a lot of speculation online that Brooke was seeing her ex
18:02while she was also in the experiment.
18:03And the question is, did Chris know about it?
18:06There's only one way to find out.
18:07Let's bring him out.
18:08Chris?
18:17Here it is.
18:19I'm here.
18:19How are we going?
18:20Oh, dear.
18:21Wow, we have the singlet on.
18:22Just wanted to go me.
18:24This is me.
18:24You're welcome.
18:25You look like you're ready for a fight, though.
18:27Always.
18:28Always need to be prepared.
18:29Oh, God.
18:30Quick one.
18:31You entered that dinner party tonight six foot but you left five foot eight.
18:37How are you feeling, mate?
18:38Yeah, it shrunk a little bit, didn't I?
18:39It was actually, yeah, it was quite interesting watching that just before
18:43because I hadn't obviously felt like that in a while since the experiment.
18:48So, yeah, it was nice to relive it again, sort of really put myself through it again.
18:52It was funny because we saw when she walked in there was just a split second
18:56where we saw your face light up where you thought, she's back for me.
18:59Yeah.
19:00Yeah, there was this little bit of hope.
19:01I didn't know she was coming back.
19:02She kept that from me.
19:04And even before she left we'd spoken about what we were and then seeing her, yeah,
19:08I guess there would have been like this little faint bit of hope.
19:11Chris, when did you find out that Brooke was back with her ex?
19:14Everyone now knows Brooke's pregnant and back with her fiancé.
19:18Yeah.
19:18Or, yeah, now fiancé.
19:20I thought she didn't get back until maybe four, three, four weeks after.
19:24But she actually went on a holiday two weeks once we left to the Maldives
19:30and she told me direct that it was with family and friends,
19:34but then in the article it said it was with Harry, her ex, so.
19:37When did you know she was going to the Maldives?
19:39We definitely spoke about it that last week before we left.
19:43Mm-hmm.
19:44That sounds like it was pretty planned while she was still on the experiment with you.
19:48That's what I mean.
19:48Like, everyone's been asking me, it's the biggest question I get,
19:52do you think she was with her ex during the experiment?
19:54I mean, there's been some speculation that Brooke went back to the Gold Coast
19:58a couple of times during filming that wasn't approved by production.
20:01Yeah, no. None of the times were.
20:02Were you, like, what was the conversation that was had with you guys?
20:05Where did you think she was going?
20:07What's your impression of that now?
20:08Yeah, so I think the first time were for her cats.
20:11For her cats.
20:12She was going back to Gold Coast.
20:13For her cats, yeah.
20:13Like real pet cats.
20:14Yeah, so she had, like, a friend that was looking after her cats,
20:16and apparently the friend couldn't anymore, so that was the first time.
20:21And I think the second time was just when she ran away.
20:25I need to, like, for people who don't know how this works
20:28in terms of, like, the reality TV world,
20:31on a weekend what are you supposed to be doing?
20:33Because it sounds weird to be like,
20:34what do you mean she ran away unapproved?
20:36Like, are you supposed to stay in your hotel rooms on a Friday night?
20:38Like, what actually happens and what happened when Brooke left?
20:41Yeah, so on weekends it's pretty much your time alone
20:44to get to know each other better.
20:45Because obviously during the week you're flat out filming,
20:47you're doing tasks, challenges, whatever, together.
20:50So I think the weekends where most couples, in my opinion,
20:53blossomed and got actually to get beneath the surface
20:55and sort of get to know each other a lot more.
20:57Yeah.
20:57And so where do you think she was, I mean, you say she was running away.
21:00Where was she running to?
21:02So that was for the cats.
21:03But do you believe that? Sorry.
21:05Do you believe that?
21:05As I said, I did.
21:07But now?
21:07What do you believe now?
21:08So now I'm thinking that it might not have been.
21:11Yeah.
21:11Do you think that she was in a relationship while this was playing out?
21:15Do you think she was still in contact with her ex?
21:17Yeah, so ask me yesterday, I'd say no, I didn't.
21:20Now?
21:21Ask me today, I'd change my opinion, yeah.
21:24In the article, it does say that Brooke insists
21:26she was never in touch with Harry while she was in the experiment.
21:29Yeah.
21:29But during her time on the show, she certainly did think of him.
21:33Now, however, we've seen some unseen footage
21:35that might indicate differently.
21:37Have a watch of this.
21:37The last time I had sex before our wedding was...
21:45I honestly...
21:46I don't think I can answer it.
21:47I honestly don't care.
21:48Truthfully.
21:48I don't care.
21:49You don't?
21:49No.
21:50Two days before the wedding.
21:52Jesus Christ.
21:53Well, sorry.
21:53I didn't know if I was going to do a run down the aisle
21:55and not like you.
21:56And at the end of the day, I was single leading up to it.
21:58So, you know, anything goes.
21:59Is it someone, like, in your life?
22:02Yeah, it is someone in my life.
22:03But it's like, that's the thing.
22:04I'm like, it doesn't really, like, it is what it is.
22:06It's my past.
22:07It's my past.
22:08I'm here for Chris now.
22:09The last time I had contact with my ex was
22:11when he wanted to buy me flowers and I was like,
22:13you do realise I'm married now.
22:15But he already knew.
22:16But I think he just obviously didn't really...
22:19I don't know.
22:21The last time I had contact with my ex...
22:22Like, that's the thing.
22:23I'm friends with my ex.
22:24Like, I'm not...
22:25Like, I don't hate him.
22:26We're friends.
22:26So, it's like, if he texts me, I will respond.
22:28But it's not like we're frickin' la-dee-darring.
22:30Do you have any concerns about her ex
22:34and the fact that it was so recent?
22:35I don't have...
22:36No.
22:37Because after...
22:37Like, I know Brooke pretty well.
22:39I'd like to think after two weeks.
22:40I know where she's at and we have these chats all the time.
22:43If she had feelings for her ex,
22:46she wouldn't be here giving me the time of day.
22:48Oh, mate.
22:49Do you feel a bit scared?
22:50That is, she played you like a fool.
22:52This is going back to the wedding day
22:54where I say I don't care three times.
22:55Oh, no.
22:56How many times do you not care now?
22:58Yeah, look, maybe looking at it now,
23:00I'm seeing things a little bit differently.
23:02Do you feel like you're still protecting her a little bit?
23:04Because that's what it feels like.
23:05I think...
23:05Because she's not protecting you.
23:07Yeah, yeah, no.
23:07Which is...
23:08It's a weird trait to have to sort of protect those
23:13that don't even really protect you yourself, so...
23:16I also think in, you know, in context of this,
23:19obviously the behaviour is one thing around how Brooke behaved.
23:23She is pregnant and she is having a baby.
23:25Yeah.
23:25And this is going to be a huge thing for her to process.
23:29I think outside...
23:30We can't speak on behalf of her.
23:31She's obviously not here to give her two cents either.
23:33Yeah, yeah.
23:34But I can only imagine being pregnant
23:35and having to go through this at the same time
23:37is going to be a horrible thing for her to process.
23:40But, I mean, at the end of the day,
23:41she's done it to herself.
23:42You know, she's at a dinner table
23:43just unleashing on these poor girls.
23:46I mean, to be honest,
23:48you're probably one of the more controversial people
23:49on this show at the moment.
23:51There's been a lot of discussions about your behaviour.
23:53Do you look back on the things you say
23:55and think it comes from a sense of insecurity?
23:57I don't think... See, I don't think it's insecure.
23:59I just think it's me not being smart and mature.
24:03Just so you're aware, I have a fake tan on today.
24:05You can't see all of it. So do I.
24:07But I do have a fake tan on.
24:09Your comments at the start were behind closed doors,
24:12but I just want you to reflect on that for a second.
24:14Like, the fat-phobic comments,
24:17do you see how horrific they are now?
24:19Yeah, definitely.
24:20It's obviously...
24:21That's how I've sort of been throughout my life
24:23and never been called out
24:23and obviously that's a terrible thing in itself
24:25when I should be figuring that out as well along the way.
24:29Do you look back now
24:31and see the way that you behaved at the start?
24:33Do you feel embarrassed by that?
24:35Oh, 100%. Yeah, definitely, yeah.
24:37I honestly couldn't even watch the episodes on TV
24:39because I did feel that second-hand embarrassment.
24:41Yeah.
24:42I just wonder if you're playing us.
24:45Seriously.
24:45In what way, Jules?
24:46I don't think in that amount of time that he's changed
24:49and I'm starting to wonder if this is just all for show.
24:55So what's a good amount of time?
24:57What's a timeframe in your mind?
24:59Well...
24:59Because obviously it's since October and we're in February.
25:02But you were on Instagram last week, you know, holding up a sign,
25:06making jokes about fat girls still.
25:08It seems like you still wanted...
25:10Well, it wasn't because it was crossed out.
25:11I know it was crossed out and then you're saying no short girls.
25:14Which is running that narrative
25:15that a woman always wants a six-foot-five guy.
25:17Yeah, I understand that.
25:18But you also did say that in your audition tape.
25:20At the end of the day, everyone's entitled to their opinion,
25:23which is what I'm always going to come across.
25:24But can you see that there's people sitting at home just going,
25:27this is just so convenient.
25:28Yeah.
25:29The one thing that I definitely haven't done my whole life
25:32is filter thoughts before they come out my mouth.
25:35And that's...
25:36I'm very impulsive.
25:36I'm very in the moment.
25:38It's not an excuse, but that's just how I've been.
25:40Well, you know, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt.
25:43We'll see.
25:43Look, I want to believe that you could be a changed man, Chris.
25:46Like, I really do.
25:47And I think everybody watching at home wants to believe it too.
25:50But anyway, moving on.
25:51Another rumour dominating the dinner party tonight.
25:54But this one is yet to be confirmed.
25:56Did Danny tell Gia that she was his type?
26:01It is literally a question on everyone's lips.
26:03Stay put, because Danny is joining us very soon
26:06to unpack it all.
26:07I actually really can't wait.
26:10But first, the godfather of maths joins us,
26:13Mr John Aitken.
26:14It's time for Aitken's Insights.
26:16Can I just stop you there?
26:17No, no.
26:18All right.
26:18We've heard enough.
26:21John, welcome.
26:23It's very exciting to be here to talk more maths, of course.
26:26OK.
26:26So one couple that we haven't discussed yet,
26:28which things don't seem to be too good in their situation at the moment,
26:33is Rebecca and Steve.
26:34Yes.
26:34What is it with the older couples in this experiment?
26:37And why is it sometimes quite tricky to get them to work?
26:41I mean, I've got to say it's great to have older couples,
26:43because you need diversity.
26:45But one of the challenges with them is that they can get stuck in their ways.
26:49Mm.
26:50And they may not be that willing to let someone in.
26:53In terms of, like, Steve,
26:54we've been talking about the personality change in Brooke recently,
26:57but I think Steve's also had a bit of a personality change.
26:59Where he's being very honest to the men,
27:02but not particularly honest to Rebecca.
27:04And he seems to be very wordy and over-explaining
27:07when he's trying to tell her what's going on with him.
27:10Did you have any idea that this was going on behind the scenes?
27:13No. I mean, one of the things that we never do
27:15is we never get to see the footage during the week.
27:18We just basically sit in on the dinner parties live
27:22and watch them go down.
27:23And then we do the commitment ceremonies the following night.
27:26And, you know, frankly, that's the way I like doing it,
27:28because when I was working in private practice,
27:31you just basically deal whatever's in front of you when they come in.
27:36And so on maths, that's exactly what we do.
27:38We just call out behaviour that we see in front of us.
27:41What was the behaviour that Steve demonstrated that you didn't approve of?
27:45That's the thing about Steve.
27:47When you watch his behaviour, when he first met Rebecca,
27:50he was quite high on her.
27:51And we were really excited about this.
27:54But then you start to see him have doubts
27:57that he then shares with the boys only and not with her.
28:02And when I've seen that in past experiments,
28:04that's when you start to really worry because he's keeping a lot hidden
28:09and at times also blaming her for certain things.
28:13It's OK to not be into someone, isn't it?
28:17Is the crime that he's not giving it a shot?
28:20Because if you look at a lot of the guys,
28:22there's many that hold back at different times.
28:24I actually think Danny, more than anyone,
28:27was willing to actually be comfortable with being uncomfortable
28:30and he got the rewards.
28:31But do you think that Steve...
28:34I get it.
28:35You don't want to have the cameras around.
28:36He's got four daughters.
28:37He's a professional creative director.
28:39He still went on maths.
28:40But when the cameras go off,
28:42definitely he could have made more of an effort
28:45to lean into something even if you don't know how it's going to end.
28:48That's the key.
28:49When you come on this experiment,
28:52you really...
28:52The only thing I want from them is to be open-minded,
28:55to be curious.
28:56And you already saw early on this year
28:59that a number of them have a long list of criteria
29:01and if they see something that's slightly not right,
29:05they drop them and they run.
29:07And that's not going to work
29:09when you are under pressure in this experiment.
29:12It's so important to be curious.
29:14My worry with Steve when he started talking about red flags
29:17is that he's ruling her out without even giving her a chance.
29:21And he wasn't the only one either.
29:23One thing that really rubbed me the wrong way, John,
29:26was Steve and Alessandra
29:27and the way that he spoke to her at the intimacy workshop
29:30was not on.
29:32Ask me a question, I'll give you the genuine answer.
29:34I don't have an earpiece in my ear.
29:36I'm not waiting for someone to tell me what to say.
29:38I'm not waiting for anybody to tell me what to say.
29:40Honestly, the lack of respect that you're showing me
29:42as somebody who's here to help guide you...
29:44Okay.
29:44...is appalling.
29:46We were outraged,
29:47because if someone's coming at the experts like that
29:50and kind of being disrespectful at times,
29:53then you know, okay,
29:55what is their buy-in to this experiment?
29:58John, I know you can't spoil anything for us,
30:00but I think it's safe to say
30:01that you absolutely have your work cut out for you
30:03at this Sunday's commitment ceremony,
30:04and not even with the couples.
30:06The whole group is just a bit of chaos, isn't it?
30:08But on a more serious note,
30:11it's a bit of an end of an era here.
30:12Yeah.
30:13We just saw Mel Shillings announce
30:14that she's not returning to the show
30:16after a decade together.
30:18Yeah.
30:18Very moving for me to hear that,
30:23because you sit next to someone for 10 years,
30:25and we debrief,
30:26and we kind of try and keep these couples on track.
30:30You know, and I've learnt so much from Mel and with Mel.
30:34I'm very grateful to have that decade with her,
30:37and she's a key part of why this show is so successful.
30:42Yeah, absolutely.
30:42Well, John, thanks for coming tonight,
30:44and I'm secretly hoping for an infamous expert smackdown,
30:48and if this clip is anything to go by,
30:50we might just have one.
30:52In all my years working on Married at First Sight,
30:55I have never experienced a woman
30:58be so vicious toward other women.
31:04Get me out of here.
31:05I'm leaving.
31:06Get me my phone now.
31:09Well, tonight, a bomb was dropped
31:11that obliterated what was left of the dinner party.
31:14Danny is about to join us to face that accusation head on,
31:17but first, I want to hear what you girls think.
31:19Okay, do you think he did it or he didn't do it?
31:21What, did he or didn't he?
31:22I don't think he did.
31:24I don't either.
31:25And it's not because I'm a sucker, okay?
31:27I think it is pretty obvious that Danny is Gia's type,
31:32and that I think Gia wanted or orchestrated this to happen.
31:36Maybe she set him up.
31:37Maybe she was like, you know, am I your type?
31:39And then the polite thing to say is like,
31:41yeah, you're my type.
31:41I don't know, I just don't believe it.
31:43But you're saying he still said it, but it was like a set up.
31:46I don't think he said it.
31:46I think he would be a very good real estate agent,
31:50but he, I don't know.
31:52Today, I'm just not buying what he's selling.
31:55Well, I reckon it hasn't come out of nowhere,
31:57so let's have a little look at everything
31:59that led up to this exact moment.
32:04Careful!
32:05I need a drink.
32:06This is my husband, Danny.
32:07This is Gia.
32:08How are you?
32:09Gia, nice to meet you.
32:10Nice to meet you.
32:11Curious to see if her and her man are getting along.
32:17Because her man was definitely looking at me.
32:19I feel like I'm probably more his vibe,
32:22and that's why he was looking me up and down.
32:26I'd better look out.
32:27No, you don't need to worry.
32:29We have such a good time together.
32:31I'm like, I adore him.
32:33I just don't know if he's more to me.
32:35I think Gia would be his kind of girl.
32:37You suck.
32:42Danny's second,
32:42because I just think he's attractive,
32:44he looks similar to people I've dated.
32:47Danny's type is not big, unfortunately, for her.
32:51I think he's just thinking it's a root,
32:52to be fucking honest.
32:56All right, Danny!
32:58Can I just say something?
32:59There's something that I know
33:00that you've said on the weekend.
33:01That is a fucking mic talk moment,
33:03but I'm not going to bring it up
33:04because I'm not going to ruin you.
33:06What is it?
33:07What is it?
33:09He's so done this time.
33:13I'm saying this.
33:14I'm saying this.
33:14I'm saying this.
33:16It was like, come on.
33:17It wasn't just me.
33:20Did it happen or not?
33:22To be honest, Danny,
33:24there was nothing that I ever said to you.
33:26Why would I make that up?
33:28Everyone was there.
33:30No.
33:30Who heard it?
33:32No, not everyone was there.
33:34Watch your mouth, girl.
33:35Watch your mouth.
33:37I'm being honest.
33:37Watch your mouth.
33:37Don't lie about me.
33:38But you said that.
33:39Don't just like me.
33:41You just made up a bullshit talk.
33:42She did!
33:43Make it up!
33:44Be accountable!
33:45No!
33:47No!
33:50Oh my God.
33:51Wow, I need it.
33:51I get so intense.
33:53Pour some ice water on me.
33:54I think he's guilty.
33:55I just don't think Gia and Brooke are that subtle.
33:58I think if they wanted to destroy that relationship,
34:01they would have said,
34:02Bec, Danny said you're a dud root.
34:04I don't think it would have been as subtle as,
34:06you're my type,
34:06because that had devastating effect,
34:08but they're not that clever.
34:09Look, I've got a lot of questions for Danny.
34:11I don't think that he offered an explanation.
34:13I think he got very defensive.
34:15That's what we've seen.
34:16So let's bring him out to get to the bottom of it.
34:26Danny!
34:28Danny, Danny.
34:29Danny, I like the fit.
34:30Thanks very much.
34:31I thought you said you either have a good education
34:36or a good suit.
34:37Over-educated or over-dressed.
34:38Yeah.
34:39So what one were you?
34:40So where are we at now?
34:40But you've got to swap it up every now and again,
34:43ain't you?
34:43Danny.
34:45I've got to say.
34:46Fucking hell.
34:47It's not looking too good for you.
34:49You weren't saying too much at the dinner party,
34:51so the floor is yours.
34:54Did you or did you not say it?
34:56Absolutely not.
34:57Look, watching it back, I cringed,
34:59because I was like, I didn't deny it properly.
35:02But imagine if someone had just lied about you.
35:04I was a rabbit in the headlights.
35:05I was like, for one, why is this woman lying about me?
35:09Not one point during that day did I ever spend time alone
35:12with Gia or Brooke.
35:14Not one point during that day did I have an alone conversation
35:18with them.
35:18Where was this said though?
35:20Like what was this Saturday thing?
35:22Icebergs in Bondi.
35:23So what were you guys doing?
35:25Bec was in a group chat with the girls.
35:27Obviously I don't speak to none of the girls,
35:28have their numbers.
35:30And Bec was just like,
35:31should we go for drinks with Gia and the gang?
35:34Gia was pressing to get us there,
35:35which I also find interesting.
35:37Why did she want to get us there so badly?
35:39Why would she make it up though?
35:42I just don't understand why she would make it up.
35:44That's a good question.
35:44And that's been going through my head like,
35:46to get at Bec I think is your biggest thing
35:49because Bec has voiced it on the episodes.
35:52By the way, I want to make it ridiculously clear.
35:55I dealt with it horrendously.
35:56I couldn't have dealt with it worse.
35:58Yeah, what do you mean by that?
35:59Just, I got frustrated at Bec.
36:01You gaslit her.
36:02Yeah.
36:03It's not frustrated, it was like blatant.
36:06Well I don't think it gaslighted.
36:08If you're lying it's gaslighting 100%.
36:11Bec was upset, clearly upset,
36:14by something that two women had said to her
36:16at a dinner party.
36:17100%, yeah.
36:17Instead of consoling her and I guess really understanding
36:20what it was that she was going through,
36:22you were annoyed at her that she believed it.
36:24That was your first reaction.
36:25And so that I think was the gaslighting.
36:27It was I need a ride or die.
36:29That's what it was.
36:30100%, I agree with you with that.
36:31Why should you believe me?
36:33You don't know me.
36:34You've seen me on TV for a few hours, whatever.
36:37Same with Gia.
36:38Obviously she's less credible than me.
36:40Her real name's not even Gia, it's Cassandra.
36:42We're talking about a woman who's...
36:44Alright, get that jab in there.
36:45We're talking about a woman who's changed her name 12 times.
36:47Yeah.
36:47You know what you mean?
36:48But anyway, except from that,
36:50why should you believe either of us?
36:52Talk is cheap.
36:53I'll tell you what's not cheap.
36:55Lie detectors, they detect lies at 99.9%.
36:58I'll do a deal with you now, get a lie detector in here,
37:01get me in here, get Gia in here.
37:03Not only that, I'll stick 100 grand of my money on it.
37:06You can bet on it as well if you don't believe me.
37:08Shotgun, I'm doing it.
37:08100%.
37:09That's cool, right?
37:10And the winner, give the money to charity.
37:12How much do you want to bet?
37:14How much do you want to bet?
37:16How much do you want to bet?
37:17Danny, listen.
37:18I'm telling you now.
37:19Danny, on the night...
37:20Which would be nice, yeah?
37:21Was there any conversations that surrounded being attracted to someone,
37:25anything that could have been misconstrued or taken from that?
37:28No.
37:29No, there was nothing of that sort said.
37:32Like, watching the show, for me I found it really interesting in the build-up.
37:36Gia's, like, put me second on the photo ranking task and said Danny's, like, with his height
37:41and his beard and his tats.
37:43I haven't mentioned Gia.
37:45She's at the back of my mind.
37:47Like, for me watching it, she's been having digs at, like, saying Danny's not loyal and Danny's not into Beck
37:53and Danny this, Danny that.
37:54She talks more about me than she does Scott.
37:56If she was your...
37:57She's obsessed.
37:58If she was your...
37:59Relax, Gia.
38:00Or Cassandra.
38:00I want to call her Cassandra because I'm a gentleman and I want to say her correct name.
38:04Stop it.
38:05So Cassandra needs to relax.
38:06So do you think Gia just plucked this out of thin air?
38:09This, what she said, it's completely...
38:11I don't know.
38:11Do you know what?
38:12That's right on my brains for months.
38:13I genuinely don't know whether she...
38:15Because did you notice on the clip as well, when Brooke was saying it, Gia was going, no, no, don't
38:21say it, don't say it.
38:22So what I think it was was Gia made a drunk comment to Brooke saying, oh, Danny said I was
38:28his type.
38:30That's all I can make of it.
38:31And then it's Scott legs.
38:33Could you have forgotten?
38:35Absolutely not.
38:36Why not?
38:36No, because I had like four beers.
38:38I'm English, mate.
38:38I could drink three bottles of whiskey and not forget what I said.
38:42I can't argue with that.
38:42Look, unfortunately Gia can't be here with us tonight, so we can't hear her side of the story.
38:47We've only got your side of the story.
38:48But I do want to settle the questions about your type, Danny.
38:53And we've got a little casting clip from an early interview with John that no one has ever seen before.
38:58Let's have a look.
38:58This is you back in the beginning, Danny.
39:00Let's have a look.
39:01Your ideal partner would be what?
39:04What sort of look, what sort of personality traits would you really be drawn to, Ben?
39:08I know exactly.
39:08Just someone who's real, someone who's got good energy, a good soul, and a personality.
39:13I'll sort of do like more of a natural girl.
39:16I know I was covered in tattoos.
39:18Oh, I didn't say fake kids or fake lips then.
39:19I actually like teen skin girls.
39:20Oh, I'm shocked.
39:21Any final physical icks at all?
39:24Too much makeup, or if they've had their lips blown up, massive.
39:30How do you feel watching that back now?
39:31When was that filmed?
39:33Well, like, it feels like good, but whatever.
39:38Like, I've told the truth the whole time.
39:40I've told the truth the whole time.
39:42You know what I mean?
39:42Danny has to be validating.
39:43I don't think anything that you've said isn't credible.
39:47I still...
39:47By the way...
39:48Hang on, you've...
39:49Oh my God.
39:50I'm passionate about this.
39:51Throw it at me.
39:53Boys!
39:54Boys!
39:54But one thing I'd say is this, right?
39:56Not the pillows.
39:57Let's not insult my intelligence, right?
39:59I'm not a smart man if we're talking book smart.
40:02I am not smart.
40:03But if we're talking street smart...
40:04Yeah.
40:05I run the...
40:06I wrote the fucking book on it.
40:07I'm the headmaster, right?
40:08Conor McGregor, we did the end.
40:10And you think I'd be dumb enough to go up to Gia and say that?
40:15I actually think everything that you say is compelling and authentic.
40:19I still do not believe, A, that they would have come up with something so intricate,
40:24and B, that they would have just made it up and dropped it like that.
40:28That does not sit well with me.
40:30It's too surgical.
40:32I respect her in that sense.
40:33She's a tricky one.
40:35Yeah.
40:35She's a tricky individual.
40:36Very manipulative, very intelligent.
40:38The way she's done it, surgical.
40:40Surgical.
40:41I just want to say though, it's very hard to have this conversation, which is one-sided,
40:45when Gia is not here to explain her reasoning or her side.
40:48Bring her out!
40:49No, and we wish we had her here.
40:51We gave her the opportunity, but she jumped on a plane and...
40:54Kirt out of here.
40:55What impact did this have on you and Bec?
40:57Like, she's obviously...
40:58We've left this and she's devastated now.
41:00It had a profound impact on me and Bec, because, like, Bec always did, like, have, like, insecurities
41:08on whether I was fully into her or not, and we struggled with that at the start.
41:13We were working our asses off to gain that momentum, and we was gaining the momentum,
41:17and then it was like we just got shot at the knees.
41:19I'm not perfect, you know?
41:22Well said.
41:22With a full night's sleep...
41:24No, I didn't mean...
41:24Jules!
41:25You're far from perfect.
41:26You are.
41:27Fuck me.
41:28But, like, with a full night's sleep and a full belly, I'm damn near close.
41:32So, you know what you mean.
41:34Right up.
41:35Well, it doesn't feel like we're going to resolve this tonight, especially without Gia.
41:39There's clearly two sides, Team Gia and Team Danny.
41:42What do you think at home?
41:43Head to Maps, Instagram and cast your vote.
41:45Did he or didn't he?
41:48I don't remember Danny saying that to Gia.
41:51So who do I believe right now?
41:53I believe Danny.
41:54Danny was sitting beside Gia when it was said.
41:57And Danny did say that on the outside Gia would be her type.
42:01It would just be so foolish for him to say that to her, to Gia.
42:04So, yeah, to be honest, I give Danny the benefit of the doubt.
42:10Why would you make it up?
42:13I don't think that's Danny's character.
42:15So that's why I don't think he would have said it.
42:20Oh, my God, we're going to need more than an hour slot if we want to get through everything.
42:25But unfortunately, that's all we have time for.
42:28We actually need a show to unpack this show.
42:30The after the afters.
42:31After the afters.
42:32Well, if tonight's dinner party is anything to go by, then we better buckle on up because it's going to
42:36be one hell of a ride.
42:37And don't forget to tune in to nine and nine now from Sunday to Wednesday.
42:41And join us on Stand Again next week after the dinner party because we'll be back, baby, with all the
42:46drama, the dirt and the moments, of course, that they couldn't fit on air.
42:50That's our favourite part.
42:50Bring it on.
42:51Something tells me it's only going to get spicier.
42:53See you next week.
42:53See you guys.
42:55Bye.
42:57Bye.
42:57Bye.
42:57Bye.
42:58Bye.
42:59Bye.
