00:19Thank you for watching.
00:30We were striving to depict the stars shining in the heavens of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
00:34God willing, we will take a short break from them starting this week and, God willing, we will begin our Ramadan discussions class related to the blessed month of Ramadan.
00:44My brothers and sisters, what do the people in a house do when guests arrive?
00:49They have the carpets cleaned, the walls painted, and they strive to cook the best meals.
00:55Therefore, preparations are made for the arriving guest.
00:57Similarly, when we say "guest," we think more than just a relative or friend coming to our house.
01:04Ramadan, which is the Yusuf of the months, and likewise Ramadan, which is one of the twelve months, has come to us.
01:15We need to realize that he is also a guest.
01:17We need to make preparations for that as well.
01:20Let's start with this question.
01:23Perhaps this will be the last Ramadan of our lives.
01:26For this Ramadan, which is the last Ramadan of our lives, have we made any preparations in our homes, for example?
01:32Or have we made any preparations in our hearts, in our souls?
01:36Let's ask a question like that, God willing.
01:38Hopefully, even if we haven't done so yet, let's try to make an effort, to fight for it, starting today.
01:44My brothers, listen, Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates a hadith from our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
01:52Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says that he is talking about the Muslim whom Allah will be the last to take out of hell and the first to admit into paradise.
02:01So, there are Muslims who will enter paradise without ever going to hell.
02:07And then there are the Muslims who, after being somewhat punished in hell, will enter paradise after God's mercy descends upon them, just like Serdar abi.
02:14It existed.
02:15This is what our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) says: Allah will be the last Muslim to take out of Hell and the last Muslim to admit to Paradise.
02:24After saving him from hell, he says, staggering, "He's going to get out of hell."
02:30He says he'll climb up, stumbling and falling along the way.
02:31Then, as soon as he comes out of hell, he will turn around, look back at hell, and say:
02:38He will say, "God, the Most High, is the one who saved me from you."
02:42And then the man will say, "Until today, God has never bestowed such a favor upon anyone, neither before me nor after me."
02:50will say
02:51And he will be so happy to have escaped from hell.
02:53Then our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says that after that man is brought out of Hell, he will be shown a tree,
03:00A tree with fruit on top will be shown, with water flowing from its base.
03:04Then the man will say, "Oh Lord, just take me to that tree; I have no other wish."
03:10Allah Almighty will say, "My servant, are you sure I will take you to that tree, but you will not ask for anything else?"
03:17When he said "Isn't that right?", he replied, "I won't ask for it, Lord."
03:19Then Allah Almighty takes that man to that tree.
03:22That man drinks the sap from that tree and eats its fruit.
03:26Then he saw a second tree, says our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
03:30That tree is more beautiful than the first one.
03:32Then he says, "Oh God," he says, "take me to that second tree as well."
03:36"I will be a shadow under his shadow, I will drink from his water, and I will never ask for anything again," he says.
03:42God says, "When you were under the shade of the first tree, and after drinking from its water..."
03:46"You said you wouldn't ask me for anything again," he says, but out of compassion, he takes her to the shade of the second tree.
03:53That man takes shelter under that shade and drinks from its water.
03:58Then Allah Almighty shows that man a third tree, even more beautiful than the first two.
04:04Then the man says, "Lord, take me to that third tree as well."
04:08"I swear to God, I will not ask for anything else, O Lord," he says.
04:11Then, out of His mercy, Allah Almighty takes him that third tree as well.
04:17Then he takes shelter under the shade of that third tree.
04:19They drink from its water, eat its fruit, and then the voice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is heard, saying, "Those of Paradise..."
04:26Then the man says, "O Lord, take me to join those who are destined for Paradise."
04:31I swear I will never ask you for anything again.
04:34And Allah, Glorified and Exalted, says, "O My servant, you said before that you would not ask anything from Me."
04:40But after saying, "You still wanted it," Allah Almighty says, "He will take that man to Paradise."
04:47And my brothers, when Allah takes him to Paradise, He says to him, "O My servant..."
04:54When the servant is asked, "Would you like me to grant you a place and rank ten times more beautiful than the beauty of this paradise you have entered?", the servant replies,
05:02"Oh Lord, are you making fun of me? Are you mocking me?" he might say.
05:09And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that Allah Almighty created a place ten times more beautiful and greater than Paradise, a school.
05:17He says he'll give it.
05:18Look, brothers and sisters, what is this?
05:19The joy felt by the last man to leave hell and the last to enter heaven.
05:25Now, if we were to consider and imagine the blessings and favors that God will bestow upon those who enter Paradise without ever entering Hell...
05:32Isn't it incredibly valuable, incredibly important?
05:35Again, Imam Bukhari, may Allah have mercy on him, says, my brothers, regarding the Muslim who will be the last to leave Hell and the last to enter Paradise.
05:44He says that Allah Almighty will send His angels to this man and will say to His angels:
05:48Go and inform my servant of the minor sins he committed in this worldly life.
05:54The angels will come and say, "Do you remember the sin you committed at such and such a time and place?"
06:00"Yes, I remember," he'll say.
06:02Then, after the angels inform him of the minor sins he has committed, God will say,
06:07For every minor transgression, for every small sin committed by My servant, I give him a reward, I give him a reward.
06:15He will say, "I am giving away merit, I am giving away merit."
06:16Then the servant realized that since Allah would reward him for every minor sin, he would turn to Allah Almighty and say...
06:25that,
06:26"Oh Lord, I have committed great sins in this world, but I cannot see them. Will the angels not inform me of them?" he will say.
06:34So, just as God transforms minor sins into good deeds, let them tell me about their major sins so that God can transform those into even greater good deeds.
06:41as if,
06:42He will say, "I cannot see my great sins," when our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated this hadith.
06:49Rabbi says that our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, laughed and smiled so much that he could see the molars, my brothers.
06:58So why did we begin this discussion with such an introduction?
07:02Why did I share or narrate such a hadith with you?
07:05My brothers and sisters, look, Allah and His Prophet want to increase our yearning for Paradise, they want to increase our excitement for Paradise.
07:12Therefore, as we have seen, our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) will be the last to leave Hell and the last to enter Paradise.
07:21so that we can get excited about a Muslim's joy,
07:25He recounted this story to us for an adrenaline rush, to whet our appetite for paradise.
07:31So, my brothers and sisters, what should we do so that our appetite for paradise might increase?
07:37We need to make the most of this month called Ramadan.
07:40Because why? The month we call Ramadan, my Muhammad, the month we can call Ramadan, is the month in which the ticket to paradise is issued, my brothers and sisters.
07:49So, perhaps the most beautiful time for a person who wants to go to paradise to make the most of is the month of Ramadan, my brothers and sisters.
07:57So why should our appetite for that paradise increase?
08:00Why should we get excited?
08:02Because, my brothers and sisters, our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) says:
08:06By God, he says, in paradise, a houri that God will give you, a veil on the houri, or a headscarf on top of her,
08:16God says, if He had sent him to this world, the sun would be brighter than his light, he says, my brothers.
08:24So even the sun, which is usually so bright, would darken upon seeing it.
08:28It will darken. Therefore, our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gives us an example from the houris there to explain how beautiful Paradise is.
08:37If we wish to attain those blessings, then the shadow of the month of Ramadan has fallen upon us.
08:42Hopefully we will fast tomorrow, perhaps.
08:44Therefore, my brothers and sisters, Ramadan is one of the greatest opportunities for us to obtain this ticket to paradise and seek ways to go to heaven.
08:54So why is the month of Ramadan so important, my brothers and sisters?
08:57Why do we attach so much importance to the month of Ramadan?
09:00Why do we strive so desperately to understand, comprehend, and experience Ramadan, the month in which the ticket to paradise is supposedly granted?
09:08Because, my brothers and sisters, the month called Ramadan is a month loved by Allah, a month praised by Allah, and revealed by Allah Almighty.
09:20that,
09:20My brothers and sisters, God revealed His book in this month, as He informed us in verse 185 of Surah Al-Baqarah.
09:29So scholars have said that the Quran was revealed in the month of Ramadan, and if Allah mentions the book or revelation anywhere in the book, then...
09:41He mentioned Ramadan.
09:43Because the revelation, the Quran, was revealed during Ramadan, they have said that Ramadan is, in a way, the month of revelation, the month of the Quran.
09:52So why else is the month of Ramadan important for God?
09:56Because, my brothers and sisters, Allah Almighty says in verse 32 of Surah Al-Had:
10:02Those who are pious, those who attain piety, are the people who uphold the symbols and emblems of God, he says.
10:09In other words, those who uphold, glorify, and revive the symbols and tenets of God are the pious ones.
10:19Therefore, the month of Ramadan, my dear brothers and sisters, is one of the symbols of Allah, one of the emblems of Allah, so...
10:28Allah Almighty has told us that those who uphold this motto, this symbol, will be among His pious and God-fearing servants in His sight.
10:39My brothers and sisters, this has been explained in verse 32 of Surah Al-Hajj, which we mentioned a moment ago.
10:44So let's not say, my brothers and sisters, that it's a recurring month, and therefore a worthless month because it repeats itself.
10:54Because it recurs, because God allows us to experience it again and again every year, we should actually consider it a very important and valuable month.
11:03Some of the obligatory acts of worship that Allah Almighty has commanded us to perform must be done every day.
11:09Some acts of worship, like the five daily prayers, are only performed once in a lifetime.
11:13But the Ramadan worship is an act of worship that we must perform for one month every year of our lives to prove the servitude that God expects from us.
11:24My siblings.
11:25Therefore, since Ramadan is a recurring act of worship, performed repeatedly every year, it is not a worthless act of worship.
11:32Just as prayer, although an act of worship that we must perform five times a day, is not worthless but valuable, similarly...
11:40Ramadan, for us, is not a worthless act of worship simply because it is a repetition, but rather a valuable one, my brothers and sisters.
11:48May Allah grant us all the ability and capacity to be among the believers who can understand and comprehend it.
11:56Okay, my brothers, what's the second one?
11:58What did our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) do? He valued Ramadan.
12:01First, Allah valued it, then our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) valued it.
12:07Look, our mother Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says, our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says, it's like a lover waiting for their beloved,
12:16What would he do when Ramadan arrived?
12:19He would start counting from Recep, count until he reached Şaban, and eagerly await the arrival of Ramadan.
12:26He would wait.
12:27So why is Ramadan so important in the person of our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?
12:33Because, my dear brothers and sisters, our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says that Ramadan is a month in which the gates of Paradise are opened wide, and the gates of Hell are closed.
12:44Because it was a month in which the doors were completely closed, our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him),
12:51Since this is one of the symbols that shows the way to salvation or to paradise, our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also called Ramadan by this name.
13:02He valued it so much.
13:03So, who is the third person who values Ramadan?
13:06Of course, Ramadan is also for our esteemed companions, may Allah be pleased with them all, who were the best students of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
13:15The bear was very valuable.
13:16Why is it that the fact that Ramadan was so precious to the Companions of the Prophet shows that it is also very precious to us, my brothers and sisters?
13:21Because what does Allah Almighty say in the hundredth verse of Surah At-Tawbah?
13:26God says He is pleased with them, and they say they are pleased with God.
13:32Why are the Companions of the Prophet valuable to us?
13:34Because Allah Almighty has expressed His satisfaction with them.
13:38And since Allah was pleased with their lives, and was also pleased with the Ramadan they lived, He has shown us in His book that He was pleased with them.
13:49He stated.
13:50Look, my dear brothers and sisters, even our noble companions, just like our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), were so devoted to Ramadan.
13:57because they value them,
13:58They are so excited that they look forward to Ramadan six months in advance and count down the days until it arrives.
14:07Like counting down the days until dawn.
14:08You know, those of us who are addicted and smoke cigarettes, well, Ramadan is coming, and for 15 hours, 14 hours...
14:18What am I going to do without cigarettes all this time?
14:20Perhaps he feels such a shiver, perhaps such sadness.
14:25Or perhaps, while some might have concerns or anxieties about this, our esteemed companions did not experience such anxieties.
14:31Oh, how I wish this blessed month would come soon, so that we might meet the Joseph of these months and be drawn into His mercy!
14:38What were they doing when he arrived?
14:40They were eagerly awaiting it.
14:42So, was this really the right time for Ramadan?
14:45We have jobs to do.
14:47Therefore, they are not saying, "Who will observe Ramadan, who will fast, in this heat or amidst this work and hustle and bustle?"
14:55My siblings.
14:55So their understanding of Ramadan wasn't about reuniting with Ramadan, but about coming together with brothers and sisters through Ramadan.
15:03So, it's not like a merchant who greets someone by shaking their hand and saying hello, but rather gives them goods on credit.
15:12Isn't it?
15:13They had an understanding of Ramadan that embraced it with the same pleasure a merchant feels when selling his goods upfront.
15:21So they were so excited when Ramadan came.
15:24Why? Because Ramadan was the month of salvation for them, the month to receive their ticket to paradise from Allah Almighty.
15:31So what were they doing? They were getting excited.
15:34But we don't really do that, do we?
15:36When Ramadan comes, it's as if we go crazy from hunger, or we worry and fret that we're going to go crazy because of this hunger.
15:46We keep filming.
15:47Or what do we do when Ramadan comes, my brothers and sisters?
15:50We're succumbing to lethargy.
15:51So we're neglecting all the world's affairs.
15:53However, scholars have said that for a person to be careless and complacent during good times is a bad omen, a calamity.
16:05Therefore, since Ramadan is also a time of good deeds, we will never become complacent.
16:11For 30 days, we will strive to observe Ramadan with excitement and love, or to make an effort to spend it in this way.
16:21My siblings.
16:21Or what can we do with the excitement that the Companions of the Prophet experienced?
16:25We can't catch them.
16:25Now, maybe we're saying this to ourselves.
16:27So, we'll be observing Ramadan for 30 days, but we might be worried about things like headaches from work or other responsibilities.
16:35Sir, they were companions of the Prophet.
16:36Therefore, we don't share the same faith as them.
16:39Things like, "They didn't have much to carry," come to mind.
16:42They had no jobs, no responsibilities, etc.
16:45Perhaps we imagine them as butterflies fluttering around the Prophet.
16:49But believe me, my brothers and sisters, the companions of the Prophet were just like us.
16:53Just imagine, these companions of the Prophet, with swords weighing perhaps 20 kilos each, were going to wage jihad while fasting during the month of Ramadan.
17:02My siblings.
17:03So even when these men went on jihad, they went during the month of Ramadan and they fasted.
17:09And while they do this job without a single ounce of complacency, we, sitting at our desks, in our workplaces, can come up with a lot of excuses.
17:18My siblings.
17:19Therefore, as our scholars have said, complacency during times of goodness is a calamity.
17:26Therefore, let us pray, my dear brothers and sisters, that Allah will not make us among those who are afflicted by such calamities.
17:32Look, despite all that poverty, despite all that destitution, despite all that impoverishment, despite being motherless, fatherless, homeless, without a tent,
17:43Our beautiful brothers and sisters in Gaza right now, who cannot even find a morsel of bread to eat,
17:49Our brothers and sisters in Gaza, the place where faith was instilled into the world,
17:53Did they become complacent, Fatih abi, just because Israel bombed us, killed our mothers, fathers, and sisters, and destroyed our homes and buildings?
18:02There are still no little hearts in the streets of Gaza, inside those ruined mud-brick buildings, saying "Welcome, O month of Ramadan" with lamps and spotlights.
18:12Oh my dear brothers and sisters?
18:13If we want to learn something from life, if we want to see how the companions of the Prophet welcomed Ramadan with such enthusiasm,
18:20Ah, right now, in the 21st century, you can look at those tiny hearts in Gaza, who are like companions of the Prophet, my brothers and sisters.
18:28Even though they endured so much hunger and suffering, they did not become complacent.
18:34Even though we imagine sitting at tables where we don't know how many different dishes will be served at iftar in the evening, we become complacent and perhaps Ramadan is not...
18:45If we want it to end as soon as possible,
18:47Then, my dear brothers and sisters, we cannot be among the believers who feel the same excitement that the Companions felt during Ramadan.
18:54I think at least our Muslim brothers and sisters in Gaza should be an example for us, like the companions of the Prophet in this era.
19:02Look, my brothers and sisters, all of the companions of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, are very valuable.
19:07Why? As I mentioned earlier, what did our Lord say in verse 100 of Surah At-Tawbah?
19:11"God was pleased with them, and they were pleased with God," he said.
19:16Allahu Akbar! What a blessed generation is that which Allah is pleased with, isn't it?
19:22One of those generations, our master Sa'd ibn Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him), says:
19:28Honestly, he says, there are three things I've done very well in this world.
19:33I did these three things properly.
19:37Therefore, you should all try to do these three things properly.
19:40My brothers and sisters, he is giving us advice from 14 centuries ago, saying, "O my believing brothers and sisters."
19:46Look, who is Sa'd ibn Mu'adh?
19:47Sa'd ibn Mu'adh was a man who...
19:50A man whose body was washed by angels who came for his funeral.
19:54A man whose coffin was carried by angels at his funeral.
19:58He's even a man who...
20:00The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says:
20:02The day he died, the day he became a martyr,
20:05The throne trembled,
20:07He is the person referred to as the Companion who shook the heavens.
20:10Our Prophet Sa'd ibn Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him).
20:12Here's what he says:
20:13He says, "I did these three things properly."
20:16Firstly, my brothers say that,
20:18When I stand for prayer, he says,
20:21"I swear," he says, "it's as if I'm going to pray that prayer for the last time."
20:24It feels like this will be my last prayer in this world.
20:27He says, "I prayed in such a state, in such a condition."
20:30This is the first good thing he's done.
20:32Latter,
20:33When I attended a funeral ceremony,
20:36When I went there, it was as if I were dead.
20:39It's like they're carrying me in a coffin.
20:41And it felt as if they were about to shovel dirt on me.
20:45"I entered into that state, into that spirit," he says.
20:49Allahu Akbar, and my dear brothers and sisters,
20:51The third guy I made said something like, "He's like a guy,"
20:54I swear, he says.
20:55I received this from our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
20:58When I hear a hadith,
21:00I never look,
21:02Is there a sunnah in that hadith?
21:04Is there an obligation (fard)?
21:05I don't check to see if there is an obligation.
21:08Therefore, if our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said...
21:11If he gave me any advice,
21:12I will definitely, absolutely try to act in accordance with that hadith.
21:17He gave us this advice.
21:19Then, my noble brothers,
21:21In this month of Ramadan that we have entered,
21:23Let us be believers who strive to emulate Sa'd ibn Mu'adh.
21:27And from this advice that he taught us,
21:30Let's also include these three hadiths, God willing.
21:33Let us begin our Ramadan with these hadiths.
21:36Look, my brothers and sisters,
21:37From our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
21:40Abu Hurayra,
21:41Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated and said:
21:44Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
21:46Whoever believes,
21:48Seeking help from God,
21:51If he fasts during Ramadan,
21:53God says,
21:54He says he forgives his past sins.
21:57Allahu Akbar.
21:58Whoever seeks his help from Allah,
22:00If he fasts during Ramadan,
22:02God will forgive his past sins.
22:04He's going to forgive her.
22:05I swear to God, it's true, my brothers.
22:07If the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said so,
22:09If we fast properly,
22:11No matter how many sins we have committed, God
22:14My brothers vouched that they would forgive them all.
22:16But what kind of fasting?
22:17Undamaged, untorn,
22:19Doesn't God require us to fast?
22:22Even though he made them fast,
22:23It is not a fast when one gossips with their tongue while their stomach is full.
22:27Even though he made his stomach fast,
22:29It is not a fast that opens one's eyes to forbidden things.
22:31It is not a fast that harms the eye with forbidden things.
22:33Even though he made his stomach fast,
22:35My brothers and sisters, I'm not talking about a fast that doesn't involve fasting from one's mindset and knowledge.
22:41Well,
22:42Fasting, as we have been doing,
22:44If we observe a fast that also affects us,
22:47Here is our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
22:49What is he saying?
22:50God says,
22:50He says He will forgive your sins.
22:53Here are our scholars,
22:54My dear brothers and sisters,
22:55Therefore,
22:56Based on this incident,
22:57They said that the fasting here should be one that strengthens faith.
23:02Therefore,
23:03What did our Lord say in verse 186 of Surah Al-Baqarah?
23:08So we have given to every nation,
23:10To every nation,
23:11We have ordained fasting.
23:13Therefore,
23:14Hopefully,
23:15It increases their piety,
23:17So that they may be pious people.
23:19Well,
23:20Our acts of worship should have a result.
23:22I fasted,
23:24If it does not increase my piety,
23:25So this means,
23:26Our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him),
23:29This is not a fast that he has announced, my brothers.
23:31I fasted,
23:32But if this fasting did not make me pious,
23:35At that time, I was unable to observe a fast that would erase my past sins.
23:39Isn't it?
23:39Therefore, God willing,
23:40May the fasts we have observed make us more pious.
23:43The fasts we have observed,
23:45Things that change and transform us in our lives,
23:48Hopefully, when it enters our lives as a form of fasting,
23:50Then our Lord said,
23:52Here is the thing, He will forgive our sins,
23:54And that he will forgive us,
23:56In the words of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
23:58My brothers are relaying it.
24:00Look, my dear brothers and sisters,
24:01Secondly, our hadith,
24:03Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says:
24:06Whoever observes Ramadan,
24:08God says,
24:09He says he forgives his past sins.
24:11If he/she fasts a moment ago,
24:13He said, "He forgives their sins."
24:15Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
24:16Now he said,
24:17Whoever observes Ramadan,
24:20God will forgive his past sins, he said.
24:22Listen, my brothers and sisters,
24:24Our scholars have said that,
24:26Based on this incident,
24:27Here, our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
24:30What he referred to as the revival of Ramadan,
24:33He said, "Those are the nights of Ramadan."
24:36So whoever spends the nights of Ramadan in worship,
24:39God will forgive his past sins, he said.
24:41Even our scholars have said that,
24:43Ramadan is also a metaphor for nights,
24:46My brothers and sisters, you mentioned the Tarawih prayers.
24:48Allahu Akbar.
24:48So whoever performs the Tarawih prayers during Ramadan,
24:53God will forgive his past sins.
24:57Don't pay attention to some of the charlatans today,
24:59I don't know how many fabricated hadiths there are in Bukhari,
25:01Because there are so many fabricated hadiths in Muslim's work,
25:04The book of God,
25:06Those who try to interpret it according to their own ideas,
25:09As the charlatans say,
25:10Don't pay attention to those who say that Tarawih prayers are a fabrication, my brothers and sisters.
25:14Look what our scholars say:
25:16Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
25:18Whoever revives the Tarawih prayers,
25:20God has mentioned that He will forgive his past sins.
25:24Allahu Akbar.
25:26My dear brothers and sisters,
25:27Look, Abdullah ibn Omar,
25:28Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was the son of our Prophet,
25:31One day, he found himself in a situation where he had read verse 9 of Surah Zumer.
25:35Allah Almighty says in that verse:
25:37By prostrating oneself at night,
25:39By standing upright,
25:40Fearing God's hereafter,
25:43Those who seek refuge in God's mercy,
25:45He asks, "Would the situation of someone who denies anything be any different?"
25:48Allahu Akbar.
25:50Then Abdullah ibn Omar added,
25:51He said,
25:52At night, he said,
25:54Those who stand in prayer
25:55And from God's hereafter,
25:57From His torment,
25:58Those who seek refuge in God,
25:59Do you know who this person is?
26:01He said.
26:01I swear to God, it's him!
26:03It is Osman bin Affan.
26:05It is Osman bin Affan.
26:06Because he,
26:07Both before his caliphate,
26:09And during his caliphate,
26:11I swear, he gets up at night,
26:12He stands up,
26:14And so much so that,
26:15During a Tarawih prayer,
26:17He used to recite the entire Quran.
26:19My brothers say he used to recite the entire Quran.
26:21Allahu Akbar.
26:23Can you imagine our esteemed Companions of the Prophet?
26:26So, one night, getting up for prayer,
26:28Those who complete the recitation of the Quran during Tarawih prayers,
26:31From our esteemed Companions,
26:33Unfortunately,
26:34In mosques,
26:35In 15 minutes,
26:37He will lead the Tarawih prayer.
26:39Seeking "jet imams"
26:40My brothers and sisters, we have become a single community.
26:42Allahu Akbar.
26:44Allahu Akbar.
26:45Therefore, their
26:46Reviving the nights of Ramadan,
26:48So this is how it happens.
26:50So it's not a Tarawih prayer that's completed in 20 minutes,
26:53Or, as soon as possible,
26:54Those who say, "Let this prayer be over so we can go home,"
26:56Not with an understanding, my brothers.
26:59To God,
26:59The awe they nurtured,
27:01In his presence,
27:03Standing in prayer at night,
27:04We're talking about a procedure that has been performed.
27:07Again, my brothers and sisters,
27:08Huzeyfetul Yaman,
27:09Our Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
27:12Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, during his lifetime,
27:13He performed the Tarawih prayer twice.
27:16So he prayed the Tarawih prayer for two years.
27:19And we,
27:19We witnessed this.
27:21Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
27:23In one rak'ah of the Tarawih prayer,
27:25Surah Al-Baqarah,
27:27Surah Ali Imran,
27:29She recited Surah An-Nisa.
27:30So, my brothers and sisters,
27:32The Surahs of Bakara, Ali Imran and Nisa,
27:34Total number of pages,
27:36One hundred and five,
27:36That makes five hundred.
27:38Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, says:
27:40During a Tarawih prayer,
27:41He says he recited five hundred rak'ahs in one rak'ah.
27:43Allahu Akbar.
27:45Allahu Akbar.
27:46Well,
27:47Our Prophet Ali Imran and peace be upon him,
27:48Those of us who take them as an example,
27:50Unfortunately, as soon as possible,
27:51Let the imam finish the prayer,
27:54We're all in a panic trying to run home, aren't we?
27:56Allahu Akbar.
27:57Or,
27:58The imam in such and such a place,
27:59Because he was leading the prayers too slowly,
28:01The reason for preference is no longer an issue.
28:03They can get out, my brothers.
28:05Oh, I'm not saying this either,
28:06Maybe,
28:06Well,
28:07Our Prophet Ali Imran (peace and blessings be upon him),
28:08In one rak'ah,
28:09He prayed this much, sir.
28:10Are we prophets?
28:11Yes.
28:12Perhaps we won't be able to handle it.
28:13But my brothers and sisters,
28:14I'm saying this to make it clear.
28:16The person we look up to as a role model,
28:18With this sensitivity,
28:19With this seriousness,
28:20He was doing this job.
28:21Ok,
28:22Let's not do that.
28:23But,
28:23Someone who did it,
28:25Because it is our example,
28:26We too,
28:27At least,
28:28To do your best,
28:29If we try to make an effort,
28:31Wouldn't it be nicer?
28:32Something more fitting for him,
28:33They have become one nation,
28:35Of course we can, my brothers!
28:36Look again,
28:37From the Companions,
28:38Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him),
28:39The son of our Lord,
28:40Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him),
28:42He says,
28:43I swear, he says.
28:44We,
28:44He says in Medina,
28:46We would start performing the Tarawih prayers, he says.
28:48So much so that, he says,
28:49"The Tarawih prayers used to last so long," he says.
28:51Dawn would break,
28:53Maybe,
28:54When we started returning to our homes,
28:56Just before dawn,
28:58So that we can have suhoor (pre-dawn meal),
28:59The servants in our house,
29:00They would immediately place our food on the table,
29:03We,
29:03So that we don't end up in the morning prayer,
29:05Allahu Akbar,
29:07But what are we doing, my brothers?
29:08We're sleeping soundly, aren't we?
29:10There is no getting up for night prayers.
29:12There is no getting up for Tahajjud prayer.
29:13Hey brothers and sisters,
29:14By God, even during the month of Ramadan,
29:15If we are not going to perform the Tahajjud prayer,
29:17During the month of Ramadan as well,
29:19If we are not going to engage in such acts of worship,
29:21When will we begin?
29:23This Ramadan,
29:23Could this be the last Ramadan of our lives?
29:26Therefore,
29:27This departing train,
29:28You shouldn't miss it.
29:30For him, Ibn Qayyum al-Jawziyya,
29:32May Allah have mercy on him, he says:
29:34I swear, he says.
29:35To the dead beneath the earth,
29:37If we ask,
29:38If God were to bring you back to this world again,
29:40If we asked you what you would want,
29:42They used to say,
29:44Only God knows.
29:45Many,
29:46We would love to spend another Ramadan together.
29:48We wish we could spend another Ramadan together.
29:51Because there would be such requests,
29:53He relayed this to us.
29:54Therefore,
29:55My dear brothers and sisters,
29:56This is ours,
29:57It feels like this might be the last Ramadan of our lives.
29:59Let's assume it has a certain state,
30:01For him, this Ramadan,
30:02To make the most of it,
30:04An effort,
30:05Let's get involved in an effort.
30:07Look, my brothers and sisters,
30:08From the Tabi'in,
30:09Said bin Zeyd,
30:10There was a scholar, may Allah have mercy on him.
30:12He says,
30:13We say,
30:14He says during Ramadan,
30:15Tarawih prayers,
30:17While praying,
30:18We used to read the verses of the Quran.
30:19The Surahs of Mayin,
30:21What does "meyin surahs" mean?
30:22Well,
30:23Number belonging to,
30:25"We used to read over a hundred verses," he says.
30:28Then he says,
30:29He would get so tired,
30:30And,
30:31We would become exhausted,
30:33And relying on the staffs we have,
30:35Because we would complete our prayers,
30:38They have stated these things to us.
30:39So, those are the people whom God has called good,
30:42While they are worshipping,
30:43They were prepared to get a little tired.
30:45But we,
30:46While worshipping,
30:47May no fatigue come upon you.
30:49Let there be no resentment,
30:50That's what we're trying to do, isn't it?
30:52However,
30:53Sometimes, the fatigue from religious practices also...
30:56To the inner world of man,
30:57A taste,
30:58A pleasure,
30:58It's a pleasure, my brothers.
31:00Oh, for God's sake!
31:01One hand,
31:02One leg,
31:02If he/she is tired,
31:03Could there be anything more pleasurable than this?
31:05My legs are tired, for God's sake.
31:07My hands,
31:07My arms,
31:08My eyes,
31:09Because he tired himself out for the sake of God,
31:10The state of a rejoicing believer,
31:13Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
31:14How happy our Prophet would be, wouldn't he?
31:16His,
31:17He gave himself to us,
31:18Our Lord, who sent the Prophet,
31:21My servant,
31:22Because he got tired for me,
31:23Wouldn't he/she be so happy?
31:25Therefore, my brothers and sisters,
31:26We'll get a little tired, though.
31:28After this Ramadan ends,
31:29Hopefully,
31:30When we receive our rewards,
31:31All our sins,
31:33Even when forgiven by God,
31:35We will have received this reward.
31:37For him,
31:38This reward,
31:39To be able to nail,
31:40Isn't this exhaustion worth it?
31:42Honestly, my dear brothers,
31:43We're going away for a month.
31:44We work for Elin's boss,
31:46So that they will pay us our salaries a month later.
31:48All kinds of manual labor,
31:50We perform all types of operations.
31:52Because of a salary we will receive,
31:54Oh my God!
31:54For a month,
31:56Because you are tired,
31:57I will open the gates of paradise for you, he says.
31:59So, from a salary that the boss will pay,
32:02From a provision,
32:03Is it even less valuable?
32:03A gateway to paradise that God will grant, my brothers and sisters?
32:06Allah,
32:07From that gate of paradise,
32:08To be among the believers who can enter,
32:10May it be granted to each of us,
32:11May it be effective.
32:12Again, my brothers and sisters, listen...
32:13Abdurrahman bin Hurmiz,
32:15Saying, "Radiyallahu anh"
32:17From our hadith scholars,
32:18A hadith scholar from among the Tabi'in,
32:20He says, my brothers,
32:21In our time, he says,
32:22He tells us,
32:23Those who had memorized the Quran would come,
32:24And they say,
32:26He tells us,
32:27He says in eight rakats,
32:28They used to read Surah Al-Baqarah, he says.
32:30And in each rak'ah,
32:31They would read six pages, he says.
32:33Then he says,
32:34Sometimes, he says,
32:34He says the Quran reciters used to change.
32:36The Quran memorizers who came,
32:38Six pages in each rak'ah.
32:40More than reading the Quran,
32:41After reading four pages of the Quran,
32:43This time, the people would say:
32:44Commons,
32:45They started to steal time from our prayers.
32:47Other Quran memorizers,
32:49While reading six pages in one rak'ah
32:51These are in one rak'ah,
32:52They started reading four pages,
32:53Therefore,
32:54From our prayer,
32:55From our book,
32:56Because he was about to start playing,
32:58What were they doing?
32:59The imams there,
33:01Because he read very few pages,
33:03They're starting to criticize,
33:04Allahu Akbar,
33:06But we are now in the mosque,
33:07A religious leader,
33:08I've passed the point of reading four pages,
33:10A page like this,
33:11If he were to try to read on one floor,
33:13Is it starting from the back for some people too?
33:15To grumble,
33:16Allahu Akbar,
33:17Therefore, my brothers and sisters,
33:18At work,
33:19Our esteemed companions of the Prophet,
33:20Our masters of Tawiyya,
33:22During Ramadan,
33:23This is the compensation they heard,
33:25Their devotion to worship,
33:26Excitement,
33:27Their belief in God,
33:29A proof of their love,
33:31Alright,
33:31Why aren't we this excited?
33:33Because my brothers and sisters,
33:35We don't hear,
33:35I am included in this,
33:37Because of the kind of paradise God has prepared for us,
33:39We don't know that...
33:41We cannot imagine that,
33:42We're not excited about that paradise,
33:44To the day we will receive our monthly salary,
33:47As excited as we are,
33:48Perhaps we are excited about heaven,
33:50Or,
33:51Here's what happened when they entered the bridal chamber.
33:53So, a newly married man,
33:54As much excitement as when she's about to enter the bridal chamber,
33:57What God will give us in Paradise
33:59Are you excited about the exchange rates, my brothers and sisters?
34:01Because we didn't hear it,
34:03Because we don't know,
34:04Perhaps our Prophet's companions,
34:06The generation of the Tabi'in is like our masters,
34:08We're not excited,
34:09Or to hell,
34:11Perhaps we don't carry the fear of entering either,
34:13What is hell like?
34:16Because we couldn't imagine it,
34:17Perhaps his concern,
34:19Because we didn't get worried,
34:21Perhaps we don't feel this excitement,
34:22God, who feels this excitement,
34:25Like the Companions of the Prophet,
34:26Like our masters, Tabi'in
34:28Those who have faith,
34:29Those who have faith,
34:30May we all be among the believers.
34:32May God grant us the opportunity and the means.
34:34So, my brothers and sisters,
34:35This was our second hadith,
34:37Let us read our third hadith as well,
34:39Hopefully, we'll conclude our conversation soon.
34:40Look,
34:41Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
34:42In our third hadith, it says:
34:44Who says that?
34:45If he observes the Night of Power (Laylat al-Qadr),
34:47God says,
34:48His past sins,
34:49He says he will forgive.
34:50Allahu Akbar,
34:51Why?
34:52Because,
34:53In the month we call Laylat al-Qadr
34:55God revealed His book,
34:57And that bear,
34:58From a thousand months,
34:59Isn't it?
34:59He made it a separate month,
35:00So one,
35:01He transformed it into a life even more unique than ordinary life,
35:04Therefore, that means...
35:05Observing Laylat al-Qadr is also...
35:08It was the reason our sins were forgiven.
35:10Well,
35:11Ten days of Ramadan,
35:12We got through it.
35:13Ghostly,
35:14Or, in an empty way,
35:15Allah, Glorified and Exalted be His Name,
35:16What hasn't he done to the door?
35:17He hasn't closed it.
35:18The 20th has arrived.
35:19Ramadan's man is still,
35:21In the midst of lethargy,
35:23Allah, Glorified and Exalted be His Name,
35:23As if,
35:24This is the final, ultimate level of exit,
35:26And look what my brothers have done,
35:28The last 10 days of Ramadan,
35:29He hid it on a Night of Power,
35:31Try to find him,
35:32And God,
35:33So that He may forgive your sins,
35:35And then there's this to us,
35:36He looked upon it with compassion,
35:38And,
35:38Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
35:40Our Prophet says again,
35:41Who says that?
35:42If he is deprived of the Night of Power,
35:44If he cannot revive that night,
35:47So if he was deprived of that night,
35:49From everything that God has created,
35:51Deprived,
35:53He turned away,
35:54In case he becomes a man,
35:56He stated this to us as follows:
35:58Then my brothers,
35:59Allah,
36:00On the Night of Power (Laylat al-Qadr),
36:01To be among the believers who can revive it.
36:03May it be granted to us.
36:04Let us pray,
36:05Let's do this then,
36:07Let's set a goal, for example.
36:08This Ramadan, Fatih abi, we'll take care of ourselves,
36:09Let's have a goal,
36:10For example,
36:11If we have people who pray four times a day,
36:13If we have people who pray three times a day,
36:15For aught I know,
36:16If anyone has problems with prayer times,
36:18Oh Lord, I...
36:19I used to pray twice a day.
36:20Oh God, from now on...
36:21I will pray three times a day.
36:22Let us pray like this,
36:24And let's try to increase it,
36:25What can we say?
36:26Oh Lord, I...
36:27I haven't read the Quran much until now,
36:29Oh God, from now on I promise I will follow your path.
36:31Every day after the morning prayer,
36:32One page,
36:33I'm going to read the Quran,
36:34What should we do,
36:35Let's start with such a claim,
36:37My brothers and sisters,
36:38But definitely every day,
36:39I will try to read one page of the Quran.
36:41I will also read its translation,
36:42Oh Lord, he said
36:43Let's make a promise to ourselves,
36:45Again,
36:46O God, regarding the prophet you sent,
36:49I don't read hadith.
36:50I promise, God,
36:51In honor of this Ramadan,
36:53Hopefully,
36:53After this,
36:54One a day,
36:55Two of them,
36:56From our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him),
36:59I was going to read a hadith,
37:00For example,
37:01What should we do to ourselves?
37:02Let's set such a goal,
37:04Or after the prayer,
37:05For example,
37:06Saying Subhanallah,
37:07Saying "Alhamdulillah" (Praise be to God),
37:08Saying "Allahu Akbar"
37:10If we are not reciting dhikr,
37:11Let's make a promise, my brothers,
37:13Oh God, from now on...
37:14After I finish my obligatory prayers,
37:16I promise,
37:17I will not neglect my remembrance of God,
37:19Let's make a promise to God,
37:21And after our obligatory prayers,
37:22Let's recite dhikr, my brothers and sisters.
37:24Allahu Akbar,
37:25Let's set goals for ourselves.
37:26For example,
37:27We have wronged them,
37:29That we are,
37:30What we think,
37:31If we have siblings,
37:32Let's go with them, for example, shall we?
37:34Let's make amends.
37:35If we have a sibling we've fallen out with,
37:37Let's go, for example.
37:38What should we do with it?
37:39Let's make amends, shall we?
37:40Or,
37:41By obtaining his/her forgiveness,
37:43Let's try to enter Ramadan, my brothers and sisters.
37:45Let this be one of our goals.
37:47The one who is broken to us,
37:49If there is anyone we have upset,
37:51For example, right?
37:52Let's go.
37:53Oh sir,
37:53Let's say something like, "Please forgive me,"
37:55And let's have such goals during Ramadan, my brothers and sisters.
37:57So if we don't have such goals during Ramadan,
38:01My brothers and sisters, what will Ramadan do to us?
38:03He will come and find it empty-handed,
38:05Because he found it empty,
38:07He will leave us empty-handed,
38:10May Allah not let Ramadan come to us empty-handed,
38:13Finding it empty,
38:14Then, may the moon return to us empty-handed,
38:18May God protect us from it.
38:19May Ramadan find us welcome when it arrives.
38:21We will also receive him/her in a pleasant manner,
38:24And so that we may become believers who depart from us in a pleasant manner,
38:28Let us strive to do our best for the sake of Allah, my brothers and sisters.
38:31May God bless the Ramadan of each and every one of us.
38:34God willing, for the sake of this Ramadan...
38:37May He forgive our past sins.
38:39And to welcome us into the gardens of bliss,
38:42It will encourage people to do good deeds.
38:44May God grant us all the blessing and effectiveness of our faith.
38:47All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.
