02:30Il y a différents types d'assets.
02:47If you look at this, we already observe different stages and different evolution of how we share concepts and how
02:56we share emotions in digital environments.
02:58It started with simple emoticons.
03:01And I'm sure most of you are really familiar with emojis.
03:04Just to give a simple figure, 92% of the online population is using emojis every day.
03:11So emojis is really the format we are using to express ourselves.
03:15For example, if you have a WhatsApp account, I'm sure it's full of emojis.
03:19Your groups have an emoji.
03:21So it's a way to share emotion and to share reactions when people are telling us news.
03:26And emotes is the new step.
03:30Those emojis, those emojis, they are in 2D.
03:33We are not switching to 3D render world.
03:36If you think about Meta Horizon, if you think about Fortnite, Roblox, they are in 3D.
03:40So why are we borrowing emojis just with 2D representation when we could make the avatar moves and make them
03:47very fun?
03:48So making avatar moves is really, really important.
03:52And this is what is going to bring more immersion and more fun.
03:55So I'm going to launch a video that shows you how we are making different avatars move.
04:05As you can see, our mission is ready to empower those avatars with custom moves.
04:12You can see it's our iconic avatar, Sam, and it's going to animate very different kind of avatars.
04:18There are some fantasy ones, there are some voxel art ones, you can see one from Minecraft.
04:25I'm sure you do know about Minecraft.
04:28You can see some popular Mixamo avatars.
04:31So whatever the style of the avatar, we make it move.
04:34And this is really important.
04:36We want to enhance all avatars.
04:45So to explain how we make it happen, here's a very simple example.
04:49You can see on the left part of the screen, there is one guy dancing.
04:53This guy is a very good dancer.
04:55We met him at a party we were having at the sandbox, and he's a professional dancer.
04:59So he has very good moves.
05:01So you can see he's moving, he's doing his own body motions, and we are transforming it into a 3D
05:09version of it.
05:10So you can see on the right part of the screen, same video, and two avatars using the same video.
05:15So this is AI-powered creativity.
05:18Before that, animation was limited to only animation movie makers and people in the gaming industry.
05:25And it was super hard.
05:26You need to learn about a lot of skills.
05:29You need to buy some really high-cost hardware, and we are solving that problem.
05:36We are transforming any mobile film videos into 3D animation.
05:41And we are also empowering creativity with new AI models.
05:45So this is the first model we have been building, the video to animation, but we are also working on
05:52text to animation.
05:53For example, I'm a bit shy.
05:56It's hard to make a dance and to move now on the floor here.
06:00But I could use my laptop and write a prompt.
06:04For example, say I jump on the VivaTech stage, and I could get an animation out of it.
06:10So you imagine just with text, you can make new creations, you can make things very funny, and you can
06:16iterate faster.
06:17And we are also developing other kind of AI.
06:20We are, for example, using style transfer.
06:22Style transfer is defining a style.
06:25For example, make this animation look like a robot, or make this animation look drunk.
06:30It's early in the morning, so we cannot make it now.
06:33But you can make the animation look in a very different style.
06:37So this is Airport Creativity.
06:39We have been able to have a community of thousands of users.
06:43Every month, we have thousands of users coming on the platform to create.
06:46We have people that come from the dance industry.
06:49We are very good dancers.
06:50We have people that come from the art industry.
06:52They are not 3D animators, but they use our tool to express themselves with 3D animation.
06:58And the best part of it is we are not just tackling the part of creation.
07:03We are also tackling the part on distribution and integration.
07:06This is really crucial.
07:08What we do is that we provide virtual world and game with a solution that allows us to integrate our
07:14tech in their venues.
07:15So you can see here, it's an example.
07:18It's an exclusible room.
07:20So there is a dance floor in that room.
07:22And we integrated our solution.
07:24So as you can see, you have this avatar.
07:29It's a Snoop Dogg avatar.
07:31And you have this emode wheel.
07:32So as in Fortnite, in this emode wheel, you can select different animations.
07:38You have different animations in your inventory.
07:40You put them in your wheel.
07:41And this becomes your wheel of expression.
07:43If you want to throw a very good dance move, if you want to jump, if you want to react
07:49to something one of your friends is telling you,
07:52in this environment, you can just make it happen and you can just play those animations to express yourself.
07:57So technically speaking, what we do is that we have a solution that is embedded in Game Engine.
08:03Game Engine has 3D solutions that allows virtual worlds to activate a lot of different actions.
08:10so it manages 3D objects, it manages avatar interaction, it manages the gameplay.
08:15And our solution can be integrated in that.
08:19And it makes sure that the animation will be played on any avatar.
08:22And we also manage a very important task, which is networking.
08:25If you have an animation and an emote, you need to display it and show it to others.
08:30So we are able to display those animations to thousands of users at the same time.
08:37And why is it important?
08:39We already know, and this is a study that just came out in March,
08:45we already know that emotes are popularized.
08:49So I told you about Fortnite, because I think some of you are playing to Fortnite and you're familiar with
08:53that game.
08:54But among players, 74% of them already use emotes.
08:59So emotes is not something new, it's something that players really know.
09:03And if you think about Gen Z, they are two times more fans of emotes than other any population.
09:09So they are using emotes a lot.
09:11They do care about emotes.
09:1374% of them use them, and it's about 50% that use them every time they play.
09:18And what is important when they use them, they use them for socializing in-game.
09:23It's 59% of them use them for socializing in-game.
09:26So it's really bringing a new form of interaction, socialization in-game,
09:30and it's really a format that they do like.
09:33And it's also a big market.
09:35If you think, I will again give the example of Fortnite,
09:39but for Fortnite, the emote market alone is $600 million per year.
09:45So it's a very huge market.
09:47It's a market, people are willing to pay for emotes.
09:51And the declared average spending willingness is $18.
09:54So people are ready to pay for those emotes.
09:57We already see a lot of artists making their own emote collection.
10:01And people are willing to buy, for example, if Snoop Dogg does an emote collection,
10:07Snoop Dogg has a very specific dance move, very recognizable dance move.
10:11And we know that people will like them, and we know that people will buy them.
10:15There are virtual concerts happening in virtual world.
10:18It would be so cool if when you buy a virtual concert ticket,
10:21you will just be buying some of the emotes of the artists you are going to watch.
10:28So this is already a very big market, and this is just a growing market.
10:33The thing is that a lot of games are not able to integrate emotes as of now,
10:37because it's really hard to create.
10:39As I told you, it's really hard to create 3D animation and the lack of content.
10:42So by using AI to bring content into the virtual world, we solve that issue,
10:48and we make sure they have a very large catalog, engaging catalog of emotes
10:52that can be used by their players.
10:56So what you can do with us, we have our solution ready.
10:59You can go on our website, and you can already test our solution.
11:04And if you are working in entertainment, you can integrate our solution in your project.
11:09If you are, for example, developing an experience like a virtual concert,
11:13you can imagine using our technology and create a specific emotes collection for this concert.
11:18So you will have different ways to celebrate what's happening during this concert.
11:22Our solution is quite easy to integrate, so you can find all information online.
11:27And the best thing is that you can also create your emotes during your attack.
11:31So we have a booth. It's G61.
11:34It's at the opposite site. It's over there.
11:36What you can do is that you can come, visit us, and we will make you dance.
11:41We will record this dance, and we will transform this dance into a 3D animation,
11:46and you will be able to use that 3D animation in a gaming environment.
11:51So I hope it was cool.
11:52I hope it was clear for you and that you're excited about emotes.
11:59Thank you very much, Arthur.
12:01Let's have a question or two.
12:03I have a question.
12:05So, yeah, watching your presentation again,
12:08so I understand that what you're doing is you're tracking the movements of users
12:11to then put into their avatars, right?
12:14Into their emotes.
12:16So they're like signature moves, right?
12:19Is that the idea?
12:19Signature moves?
12:20Signature dancing?
12:22Yeah, exactly.
12:23If you think, for example, about athletes,
12:26they have their own way to celebrate when they score a goal.
12:29Yeah.
12:30And we can transform their celebrations into signature moves
12:34available in virtual environments.
12:36So, yeah.
12:37Okay.
12:37But you, I'm sure you also have yours.
12:40I see you too.
12:41I can find one.
12:42That's for sure.
12:43Yeah, yeah, yeah.
12:43I won't do anything now, though.
12:46So, all right.
12:47But when it comes to the look of the avatar,
12:49do you take care of that?
12:51Because, I mean, already we can buy skins.
12:53We can buy avatars from other platforms.
12:55You know, and there's also, I don't know, for example,
12:58you mentioned Fortnite.
13:00You know, you could buy, I don't know,
13:03you've got a favorite Mortal Kombat character, right?
13:05So you put it in Fortnite and it has this stupid gun
13:07and you run around shooting people, right?
13:08I mean, you don't need to take care of that.
13:10The aesthetic or the design aspect of avatars, right?
13:12It's just the movements?
13:14Yeah.
13:14So this is a really important point to know.
13:17Animation is a very different side of an asset in gaming.
13:21If you think about an avatar,
13:22it's a very high quality asset with a lot of texture,
13:25a lot of things to take into account.
13:28So it's really hard to customize the avatars.
13:31The emotes are just, so we have a skeleton,
13:33we have bones, and it's just bones moving in time.
13:37So an animation is basically how those different points
13:40are moving during a certain period of time.
13:42And what we do is that we have this information.
13:45This information can be used over different skeletons.
13:48So the look of the avatar is not that important.
13:50We can use that information and play it on different avatars.
13:54The only thing is that if you have a Lego
13:57or if you have a Voxel one, it will be less detail
14:00because you will have less bones.
14:02But the vibe and the energy of the animation will stay the same.
14:06That's more Roblox, right?
14:07Yeah, that's Roblox.
14:08But it's still fun.
14:09People are having a lot of fun with it.
14:11And people are making a lot of fun of video games moves.
14:14There are a lot of videos on TikTok
14:15making fun of animation in GTA.
14:18My son is a huge Roblox fan.
14:20I personally don't understand it.
14:21But anyway, listen, we better wrap it up there.
14:26Arthur from Kinetics, ladies and gentlemen.
14:27Thank you very much.
