P80M multi-purpose building inaugurated in Mandaue City
Mandaue City local officials, led by Barangay Captain Nixon 'Jojo' Dizon, lead the ribbon-cutting and blessing of the P80 million, five-story multi-purpose building which, Mayor Thadeo Jovito 'Jonkie' Ouano said would be operated as a super health center on Feb. 17, 2026. Ouano said the proposed health center has a separate budget, but did not disclose the amount as procurement of additional equipment was ongoing. Officials said the building housed key barangay offices, a multi-purpose hall, and service units, and serves as the first barangay hall in the city equipped with an elevator. The facility includes a health unit with a pharmacy, X-ray laboratory, birthing center, consultation rooms, dental services, and a minor operating room, which will serve residents of Opao and nearby villages once fully operational.
