In 1853, James "Grizzly" Adams flees into the wilderness after being falsely accused of murder, leaving behind his daughter to build a new life. He rescues an orphaned bear cub named Ben, who becomes his inseparable companion, along with friends "Mad Jack" and Nakoma. The film focuses on his peaceful, harmonious life with nature, abandoning hunting to protect wildlife.
