00:13Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva and UN General Secretary Antonio Guterres,
00:19along with global tech leaders like Google Sundar Pichai and OpenAI Sam Altman.
00:26India is also trying to underscore the fact that it's the first time any AI summit of this scale is
00:34happening in the global south
00:36and it says that it aims to bridge the gap between the global north and south in AI adoption.
00:43India also says that it wants to make sure that AI development is accessible and inclusive, especially for developing countries.
00:53It says that the development should not remain in the hands of a select few companies or countries
01:00and that the voices and interests of the global south should be integrated into AI ecosystem.
01:06Being that said, India also wants to promote its talent pool and generate employment through AI.
01:14It doesn't want its AI experts and engineers to migrate to other developing countries
01:19and aims at becoming the AI capital of the world.
01:24So the next five days are going to be quite action-packed as the AI Impact Summit starts here in
