00:00If you missed the All-Star Saturday night events, don't worry, I've got you covered,
00:05because we need to talk about how Devin Booker represented us in the three-point shootout,
00:09Booker was going for his second career three-point contest title, and honestly,
00:13it was right there for him. He needed a score of 30 in the final round, to beat Damian Lillard
00:18who
00:18had just put up a 29, when Book got to his signature moneyball rack, he was sitting at 23
00:23points, he calmly knocked down his first two shots from that rack, remember, those moneyballs are
00:29worth two points each, which would have put him exactly at 30, unfortunately, the last three
00:34balls just didn't fall, leaving him just two points shy of Lillard's winning score, that loss stings a
00:39little more, when you remember how dominant he was just a few minutes earlier, in the first round,
00:45Booker was on fire, posting a 30-point round, the highest score of the entire competition,
00:51this marked Book's fifth time participating in this event, he previously won it all back in 2018,
00:55and finished as the runner-up in 2020, the competition was stacked this year, featuring
01:00Lillard, Tyrese Maxey, Khan Kanuapal, Donovan Mitchell, Jamal Murray, Bobby Portis Jr., and
01:06Norman Powell. It's also worth noting that Lillard hasn't played in an actual game this season,
01:11due to an Achilles injury, so his participation was a big storyline. Statistically, Devin is currently
01:17shooting 30.7% from deep this season, among everyone in the contest, that was the lowest percentage,
01:24not counting Lillard since he hasn't played, but the weekend isn't over for our guy, he's shifting
01:29focus to the main event on Sunday, where he'll suit up for Team USA stars, in the new mini-tournament
01:35format against a team of world stars. So, after seeing him come that close, what's your takeaway
01:41from Book's performance? Are you encouraged by the way he was shooting, or does that final miss
01:46leave you wanting more?
