00:17This is the first time in LeBron James' career that when afforded the opportunity at getting a contract extension,
00:24how about this? The Lakers never offered him one.
00:26They're clearly going into the direction of Luka.
00:30They're going to build a basketball team around Luka.
00:32Now, let's be candid here and fair.
00:34The guy is 41 years old.
00:37Does LeBron James end up in a place like Golden State?
00:39Does he go back home to Cleveland and help that basketball team?
00:43But let's face it here.
00:44The Los Angeles Lakers, probably for about a year and a half now.
00:48I mean, that basketball team has not been a contender.
00:51And with LeBron on that team right now, this is going to be a bad ending.
00:56To what many people thought, again, LeBron's not going to get to call his putt.

01:03You know, he's on this so-called pseudo-victory tour here.
01:08But the Lakers are forcing his hand.
01:11There's no way that LeBron James is going to be a Los Angeles Laker next season.
01:16And I think the Lakers know this.
01:18And the Lakers are preparing for this.
01:20This is why they're building that basketball team around Luka.
01:24Now, again, some of the things that LeBron has done, Maverick Carter and him have carved out what have been
01:30one of the greatest careers in NBA history.
01:32Let's, you know, look at it for what it is.
01:34There's no doubt about it that LeBron will leave the game as one of the five greatest players in the
01:40history of the NBA.
01:42However, when you look at his Laker stand, outside of the Mickey Mouse NBA trophy they won in Orlando, what
01:50do you think his impact has been as a Los Angeles Laker?
01:53Is it Wilt?
01:55Is it Shaq?
01:56Clearly not Kobe, was never in the building with Kobe Bryant in the impact that LeBron was thought to have
02:04brought to the Los Angeles Lakers.
02:06Listen, you know, fabulous career if you're going to build a model on how you build a brand.
02:11That's your guy right there.
02:13LeBron has been a great ambassador to the sport.
02:16But again, you know, maybe going back to Cleveland and ending it where it started for him probably is going
02:24to go down, in my opinion, if he ends it there, maybe he goes there and has some type of
02:29impact on what is a really good Cavalier team.
