00:00You know, I wonder what J.Y. is going to say about, you know, the commissioner holding up the NBA
00:04schedule here for LeBron James.
00:07He's 41 years old.
00:08I get the idea that, you know, you want to see this exit tour, I should say, like a Kobe
00:13Bryant exit tour here.
00:15But what about it, J.Y.?
00:16I mean, he came out and basically said that they're going to wait and see where he ends up signing
00:21because it really is dictating what the schedule is going to be when it's going to be released.
00:26What's your takeaway on that?
00:29I understand that this is probably going to be LeBron James last year.
00:33And obviously for what LeBron has done for the sport, you can't be measured.
00:39But you're holding everybody hostage.
00:42And I'm not blaming LeBron.
00:45LeBron has every right to do what he needs to do in regards to waiting it out to see what
00:50he wants to do.
00:51But the league's going to move on.
00:53And here's why I'm a little upset about this with Adam Silver.
00:56Okay, and I love what Adam Silver has done for this league.
00:59You just had the NBA Finals that had the biggest ratings since Jordan run of 98.
01:06You have superstars, whether it's Wembenyama and Jokic.
01:12You know, Gian is switching teams.
01:15The New York Knicks win their first championship in 53 years.
01:18The Philadelphia 76ers could be primed to win their first championship since 1983.
01:22You have so many storylines that are so beautiful.
01:28You don't need to hold the whole schedule for LeBron.
01:34That's the problem.
01:36If you're going to say, hey, Christmas Day, got to get LeBron.
01:39Check.
01:39Open Night, got to get LeBron.
01:41Check.
01:42MLK Day, LeBron.
01:44Check.
01:45But you're holding up the entire schedule.
01:48You could do a little bit better, Adam Silver, of getting the schedule out because I don't
01:54think LeBron's holding this hostage.
01:56But Adam Silver is making it look so.
01:59And it doesn't look good for LeBron.
02:03Pat Riley made a pitch to LeBron James.
02:07And we're going to go down some of the teams.
02:10Why does the Heat make sense?
02:12Or maybe, J.Y., the Heat don't make sense.
02:16Miami, is that a place for him to land?
02:19Of course, because out of any coach he's played for, the best relationship he's had with Eric
02:23Fulstra.
02:24And if you think about how LeBron, you know, Kevin Walsh came on my show to coaches with
02:28J.Y., I kind of talked about this, it's the only time he's left where it's been a little
02:33bit of, like, really sour grapes and he hasn't been able to, like, reconcile, right?
02:37He reconciled with Cleveland by going back.
02:40He left L.A. on pretty good terms.
02:42The Heat's the one that's a little bit shaky.
02:45So, and also, the play with Bam and the play with Giannis, absolutely.
02:50The Heat have to be considered because of that.
02:53And, obviously, Pat Riley, I mean, hey, I'd go play for Riles right now.
02:58I mean, I could give him about two minutes, about 19 fouls and four turnovers, but I'll
03:03give Riles everything I can.
03:05So, of course, you could go play for Pat Riley, absolutely.
03:09Why do the Cavs make sense and maybe not make sense?
03:14They are home is why it makes sense.
03:18The reason why it doesn't make sense is, why go home and do it a third time?
03:23I also think the Cavs are a flawed roster.
03:26I've said this time and time again.
03:27They need to trade Garland or Mitchell.
03:29They traded Garland.
03:31Good.
03:31I just don't believe in the Evan Mobley-Jarrett Allen tandem at center.
03:37One of them's got to get moved.
03:38And I think they're stuck with Harden.
03:40They had to give Harden the money because they traded for Harden.
03:44Now they're stuck.
03:45Look, they're a flawed roster.
03:47It doesn't make sense for me, for LeBron, and for his legacy to go back to Cleveland
03:52because if he goes back to Cleveland and they don't win, they're going to look at him.
03:5876ers, you've been a real fan of this one here on LeBron James potentially going and playing
04:03with Joel Embiid and with Maxie.
04:05Why does that make sense?
04:07And why do you like that more so?
04:09And I don't want to speak for you, J-Y, but that seems to be the team that you'd like
04:13to see him landing.
04:14Let me first by saying this, I hate the Philadelphia 76ers.
04:18I'm the next guy.
04:20Everybody knows it.
04:21But to be able to go to Philadelphia and play with Maxie, Edgecombe, Embiid, and obviously
04:28Jalen Brown.
04:29You could bring, obviously, Dean Wade, who they just signed off the bench.
04:33It takes the pressure off of LeBron to be the guy.
04:37LeBron doesn't want to be the number one scorer.
04:40He wants to be a facilitator, be that number three scoring option.
04:44Philadelphia does that.
04:45It also does the most for his legacy.
04:47See, I thought going into last year, even going into this year, if the Knicks did not
04:51win the championship, it was New York and Philadelphia.
04:55Why?
04:56You get him out of the Western Conference, he goes to the East, and he wins with an iconic
05:00franchise.
05:01Philadelphia fans are just as crazy as Knicks fans.
05:04They may be crazier, not as crazy as Eagle fans would have prisoned underneath the stadium
05:09at the vet, but still pretty crazy.
05:11If he goes to Philly and he wins a championship, five organizations, five championships, big sales,
05:20that shuts down the greatest of all time debate right then and there.
