00:00How about the most gold medals, Joe?
00:01And again, if we give a recap right now, Norway has seven gold medals.
00:05The U.S. four gold medals.
00:06Italy has six gold medals right now.
00:08Trading in the marketplace, though, is Norway at 85% saying, you know what?
00:13Maybe that advantage, just one more gold medal than Italy is too much to overcome.
00:17The United States at 14% is a trading point.
00:19And Italy at 3% here, taking long shots with Italy, Joe,
00:23where the favorite's going to be able to run away with it, Norway.
00:27Yeah, well, that's a whole thing.
00:28Or you got a short team.
00:30Team USA, right?
00:31Because, you know, Donnie, we're almost a week into this Winter Olympics.
00:35And, you know, the opportunities for Team USA are going to think.
00:40The gap is becoming a, you know, a canyon right now
00:44for them to be able to make up some of the distance they have here
00:48with Norway having a ton more events, a ton more athletes still to go.
00:53As the Olympics go on, Team USA, fewer Olympics, fewer Olympians,
00:58and fewer events.
01:00So keep that in mind here if you're jumping in.
01:02And also understand this, too, Joe, as we watch the Olympics go through.
01:06There are some heavy favorite United States players in the games that have not won gold medals.
01:11And that's why that distance is widening.
01:1285% for Norway, 14% for U.S.
01:15And we always like to champion as well, Joe.
01:17You don't have to take them always to the yes number on a contract.
01:20Look toward the no.
01:20Joe, if you bet the no on U.S. to have the most gold medals in this Olympic Games here,
01:24a $100 investment is going to pay back $115.
01:27It doesn't sound like a lot, but if you're already behind three medals
01:30and some of your best opportunities are already at the door,
01:33we'll check in a little bit later.
01:34But the no contract for U.S. does make some sense,
01:37which then brings up, Joe, at the 2026 Winter Olympics here on Polymarket,
01:40the second most gold medals.
01:42And, of course, if you're not going to be number one there with the gold medals
01:45and you're probably going to fall just short, that's Team USA here.
01:4969% chance they have the second most gold medals,
01:52followed by Italy, Norway, France, and Germany, Joe.
01:55Yeah, so currently, right, Team USA is two gold medals behind Italy.
02:01So for them to pass and for you to cash a yes on that ticket,
02:05they're going to need to pass Italy.
02:06They're also going to need to hold off Germany and Sweden,
02:09who also have four gold.
02:11So, to me, I think Italy is still the better price here
02:16and the better play if I'm looking for that first or second
02:19in the gold medal categories.
02:21You know what's probably going to turn the tide, Joe?
02:23When you take a look at the men's U.S. team,
02:25if they can win gold and they're not the favorite against Canada,
02:28that could be it because the women's national team in hockey
02:30looks to be a gold medal favorite.
02:32If you do take out a contract on the yes for Team USA
02:34to have the second most gold medals,
02:36a $100 investment pays back $139,
02:39which then brings us up to most silver medals,
02:42which again bring up the U.S., 77% chance,
02:45Austria, 17% chance, Norway, 9% chance here.
02:49Meddling counts, yes, it does,
02:50but silver looks like U.S. is going to lead the way here.
02:53Yeah, and it does, right?
02:56And it should here at this point
02:57because they've already had a couple events, Donnie,
03:01in which they were, we had them slated for gold,
03:04but it did not work out that way
03:06and they ended up with the silver.
03:08So it doesn't take, I think,
03:10but a few more of those to kind of lock us
03:13into that being the silver leader
03:15when it's all said and done.
03:17Exactly.
03:17And again, if you do have an upset on the women's ice,
03:20the U.S. women's probably going to get silver.
03:22And if the men hold up to what the current price points are
03:24to win a gold medal in hockey right now,
03:26well, then you're probably going to lean back
03:27on another silver for the United States.
03:29And currently, the U.S. does lead the market in silvers
03:31with seven of those.
03:33So they are the favorites at this point right now.
03:35Moving over to bronze medals, no shame in their game, Joe.
03:38You got gold medals.
03:40You got silver medals.
03:41You could still win a bronze medal.
03:42Italy trading at a 46% chance
03:45to have the most bronze medals.
03:46Why?
03:46They currently lead the bronze medal market with eight,
03:49followed by Japan at six,
03:51Norway at five, the U.S. at three,
03:53Austria at three.
03:54But Italy trading as the favorite behind Norway
03:56and also the United States coming in a 17% chance.
04:01This is what we like to call in the Olympics
04:04home field advantage, right?
04:07Because host nations will always get favorable judging
04:10in the subjective sports, figure skating, freestyle skiing, right?
04:15It's better course familiarity and the luge and skeleton.
04:19And this often results, Donnie, in podium finishes
04:22that aren't quite gold or silver,
04:25which is why we're seeing Italy dominate the bronze market right now.
04:29And I think that continues.
