00:04this new format uh round robin usa versus the world i gotta be honest though i've been the
00:09guy that was touting and begging adam silver to do usa versus the world and they're doing it
00:15but it's such like a convoluted way to do it so you got three teams usa stars usa stripes and
00:22then the world team and honest to god i had to study this for about an hour this morning to
00:27really figure out what the hell we're doing and here's what i here's what i figured out
00:31so it's a round robin tournament all right so everybody gets to play everybody the game is a
00:3612 minute game so you're playing essentially one quarter of basketball yeah all right so at the
00:43end of the round robin whatever two teams have the best record they then play head to head for the
00:50championship but i think the championship game is also a 12 minute game and the idea behind that
00:57is if you add up to round robin games right there'd be three games so that's 36 quarters
01:04and then the championship game is the fourth you're playing in four quarters of basketball 48 minutes
01:08like a standard game right now the players that advance i guess would be playing three quarters of
01:13total basketball because everybody has to sit one quarter out because you know a verse bc is out
01:18b verse ca is out like that so it's a little convoluted and then i was trying to figure out
01:24you know there's a possibility that every team after the round robin has one win that's on the
01:30table yeah all right so then i was i was trying to research what the hell happens if every team
01:36is
01:36tied one and one is a point differential so they go point differential so the two teams have the
01:41highest i think it's uh the biggest spread you know plus whatever yeah those two teams advance
01:47right all right so we're on the same page on that so usa you can see the teams there they've
01:52kind of
01:52created like an old head team versus a younger team in theory and the world team is what it is
01:56so it's a little convoluted for me but i do think it's going to be better than what we've got

02:02last five six seven years which is not even like a playground game it's more like an animal mixed tape
02:08game where nobody plays any defense and let me just see yo hell can i make a 50 foot jump
