00:00A total of 57 police officers are now facing charges in connection with a hazing incident
00:05during the welcome rights for newly assigned personnel in Lamitan City, Basilan.
00:10According to PNP spokesperson PB General Randolph Tuano,
00:15three additional patrolmen were charged with violating Republic Act 11053,
00:21or the Anti-Hazing Act of 2018,
00:23for their roles in planning, participation, and presence during the events of the 57 personnel charge 24 remain unaccounted for.
00:32Tuano stated that the PNP will give them a chance to report before being officially declared absent without official leave
00:40or AWOL.
00:41To recall, a total of 77 PNP personnel from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 14B
00:47were previously relieved from their posts following the said incident.
