00:06Police Coles Hazel said the TTPS is planning for increased attendance at the Queen's Park Savannah on Fantastic Friday.
00:14And we know we have all been seeing what has taken place in the Flavor Village and we anticipate that
00:24the attendance tomorrow, which of course is Fantastic Friday, is going to attract much and even more persons who have
00:35all been arriving to this beautiful Twin Island Republic.
00:40He said planning had already started and execution of those plans would take place from Friday morning as police were
00:48aware of the build-up to the events.
00:50Hazel urged patrons to consider carpooling and using shared transportation to reduce traffic congestion around the savannah.
00:59We try as much as possible and utilize our transportation mode in taking a ride, sharing a ride, you know,
01:13carpooling, rather than each person in a home coming with five cars.
01:19He also advised against driving under the influence of alcohol, stating that efforts would be made to address drunk driving
01:28through preventative and reactive measures.
01:31We want to also advise persons as well that if you are drinking, please don't drive.
01:40We have been witnessing the whole idea of persons utilizing the roadway, especially during carnival, utilizing alcohol.
01:53And therefore, every effort is going to be made to ensure that our bread tech are on board in order
02:03to treat with you in a preventative and reactive mode in dealing with these issues.
02:11But I give you the assurances that we are prepared.
02:13Hazel added that more than 100 officers would be deployed in Flavor Village alone.
02:20He noted that other events were scheduled in the vicinity and officers were also assigned to the area and would
02:28be at those events to enhance security and safety.
