00:00October 12th is Budget Day in Trinidad and Tobago.
00:03Prime Minister Kamala Passat-Bissassar confirmed the date to TV6 News,
00:07setting the stage for the government's presentation of its 2027 national budget.
00:12The announcement comes as the government prepares to outline its fiscal priorities
00:17amid continued pressure on public finances, the need to stimulate economic activity
00:22and concerns about the cost of living.
00:25The budget will be read by Finance Minister Devendra Nath-Tanku
00:29This is his second since the UNC administration took office in 2025.
