00:00A regional search is underway after a twin-engine aircraft disappeared while en route from St. Vincent to Tobago on
00:07Friday.
00:08Officials say the Beechcraft Baron 58 registered in the Dominican Republic under tail number HI-1145
00:16departed Agyle International Airport at 11.52 a.m. and was due to arrive at the A&R Robinson International
00:24Airport just before 12.30 p.m.
00:26The last known communication from the cockpit was made to air traffic controllers in St. Vincent at 12.11 p
00:34.m.
00:34Moments later, the aircraft dropped off the radar, failing to make its 12.30 p.m. scheduled arrival.
00:41Locally, Transport and Civil Aviation Minister Eli Zagru has confirmed that the Piago Area Control Center
00:47has activated its emergency and search and rescue protocols
00:52and is coordinating closely with the T&T Coast Guard and International Security Services.
00:58Both military and private aircraft have been deployed to visually scar the waters near the plane's last known position.
01:06Despite having an estimated five hours of fuel on board at takeoff,
01:11Minister Zagruro stated that there has been no visual or radio contact with the vessel since.
01:17Search teams remain on high alert as regional aviation and security agencies continue efforts to locate the aircraft
