00:00...пacing the Golden State Warriors with 12 points apiece.
00:03We were getting to that, Brian, but you were just ready to go to the glass half empty.
00:07I'm sorry.
00:08I think everyone is ready for an all-star break.
00:10Brian Wynhurst, Michael Malone, Kendrick Perkins, I'm Malika Anders.
00:13Second night of a back-to-back for San Antonio,
00:15but the Warriors, they're being serious about their business tonight here.
00:18I loved how they played.
00:19You know what? No Steph, no Jimmy.
00:21You can still play hard. You can still play together.
00:23They're getting out and running 11-2 fast break points.
00:27Advantage Golden State.
00:28Here's an example. Pods came in the game to GP2, playing really well,
00:34and then as this ball's coming down in transition,
00:37you can't all just run to the ball.
00:38Quinton Post trailing, knocks down the trail three.
00:41That's one thing.
00:42San Antonio has a great defense perk, but when they get hurt,
00:45they struggle guarding the three-point line,
00:47and Golden State's got nine threes in the first half.
00:50Well, it's amazing what happens when you trade a certain individual in Jonathan Kaminga.
00:55Since the trade deadline, you can see a different type of energy when you watch the Warriors play.
01:01It's a different type of togetherness.
01:03It seemed like Steve Kerr got the ears of his locker room again.
01:07And like you said, yeah, they don't match up with the Spurs as far as personnel-wise,
01:12but their energy and heart is what got them this four-point lead.
01:15How about 21 assists in the first half?
01:17Draymond, six of them.
01:18He's acting like he's still got stuff out there distributed in the ball.
01:21Well, it is still, though, a four-point game.
01:23San Antonio Spurs, a couple of tweaks, and they're right back on top.
01:27Yeah, well, the Spurs closed on a very strong run.
01:29I expect them to try to push that into the third.
01:31Trying to keep that momentum.
01:34Coming up here, though, on your halftime show,
01:3714 games across the association tonight.
01:39Let's check in on James Harden.
01:41Kawhi Leonard, not teammates anymore, but both falling out.
01:44This halftime is presented by the all-new Hyundai Palisade.
01:49Visit HyundaiUSA.com.
01:55Let's check out some action around the association,
01:57and that brings us to tonight's epic moment brought to you by Hyundai.
02:00James Harden making his debut in Cleveland, Brian.
02:04He looked really good tonight, and he was setting up Sam Merrill
02:07over and over and over and over and over and over.
02:10How many overs? Seven?
02:11Hey, hey, 13 points, 11 assists, only four shots.
02:15Really trying to fit in and make all of his new teammates
02:17much better players like that behind the back.
02:21Dying.
02:21One could argue he's been the best facilitator over the last three years.
02:25Where's Jalen Tyson?
02:26Those uniforms in the closet.
02:28He is the system.
02:30Let's check in on the Clippers and Rockets.
02:32This is good.
02:32Two minutes left in the fourth quarter.
02:33Rockets down three.
02:34Who do you give the ball to?
02:36Kevin Durant hits the corner three.
02:39And then the game tied at 98.
02:40Six seconds left.
02:42Watch how smooth this is.
02:43Kawhi Leonard.
02:43Get you a spot, Kawhi.
02:45Oh, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho.
02:46Kawhi Leonard.
02:48Clippers.
02:49I don't know about the foul.
02:49He slipped right past everybody.
02:51That was lower body contact.
02:53I saw.
02:54Some late magic there from Kawhi.
02:56Final chance here for Houston.
02:58Tari Eason.
02:59Can't quite get it to go.
03:01No, sir.
03:01Could have gone.
03:02Kawhi gets the win for the Clippers, 105-102.
03:07Elsewhere in the West, some unfortunate news for the Thunder.
03:10Jalen Williams.
03:11Watch him here.
03:12After starting the game 11 for 11 from the field, it appears, yeah, right here.
03:17He seems to have re-injured his right hamstring.
03:21You see it right, yeah, right there against the Suns.
03:24Remember, he missed 10 consecutive games because of the same injury.
03:28And tonight was the second game back.
03:29He has not returned to the game.
03:33This is what Victor Wimbanyama does.
03:35This is cheap.
03:36Just throw it in the general direction.
03:38Four-point game as we send you back to San Francisco.
03:40Let's go.
03:40This halftime is presented by the all-new Hyundai Palisade.
03:49The Warriors put up 67 first-half points on the number three defense in the NBA.
03:55Lead the Spurs by four.
03:57Our first-half stats brought to you by four.
03:59George Burke, 67-63 to score.
04:02San Antonio staying in the game with second-chance points.
04:05Five turnovers by the Warriors, none in that first quarter.
04:10They pass George Burke and George Sedano.
04:12Well, after Victor Wimbanyama went for 40 last night, 37 in the first half, we all wondered
04:16how the Warriors would defend him here tonight.
04:18Let's go ahead and take a look at our shot monitor brought to you by Insure and see how they did.
04:22Well, I think Draymond and Al Horford are two exceptional defenders, and one of the things
04:27I love about this shot chart we're going to show you from a Golden State perspective is
04:31of his 13 points, only four points came in the paint, so they're making him shoot jump
04:37shots, both from the mid-range and from three.
04:39Yes, he had 13.
04:40Yes, he was five for 10, but he earned those with jump shooting.
04:44Obviously, if he can limit his points in the paint, you're doing your job, and he's only
04:48got four rebounds, so they score 65, and they do a great job against him.
04:52Victor.
04:53That's just one block, and that was near the end of the first half.
04:58Let's get the Golden State story and check in with George.
05:00Guys, I spoke to Steve Kerr.
05:02He thought they played a good first half, but wasn't thrilled how they ended that quarter,
05:06obviously, with the foul on Guy Santos, but he also felt like the biggest issue was letting
05:10the Spurs go to the free throw line the way they did.
05:12He said the Spurs got 14 free throws in the second quarter alone, and that they were in
05:16the bonus with a few minutes of starting that second quarter, so he said you just can't
05:20give them the easy ones at the free throw line and in transition, Dave.
05:23Well, George, they had eight offensive rebounds, the Spurs, and the bench was tremendous.
05:2917 points from the bench in that second quarter, 17 of their 32.
05:33Those guys gave them a big lift.
05:35Draymond Green missed the shot inside.
05:37Can't bat at home.
05:39Santos got the offensive rebound.
05:41Melton for three.
05:42It's good.
05:43And D'Anthony Melton three for three from three-point range.
05:48What a pickup he has been.
05:51We would have liked to have seen him have a full year of last year.
05:54He was playing very good basketball before he got hurt.
05:58Yeah, tore his ACL, then was involved in a trade.
06:00Now back with the Warriors as Fox commits the foul after missing the shot.
06:06He doesn't want any help up from the Warriors, so he waits for Stephon Castle to lend a hand.
06:10That is the third foul on Fox.
06:16San Antonio's won five in a row.
06:19They had an eight-game winning streak back in December,
06:22and four of those five wins during this streak have been by double figures.
06:31Golden State playing its fifth straight game without Steph Curry.
06:34They are two and two since the right knee issue,
06:38but Curry told George Sedano he visited with him in the first quarter.
06:42Should be back after the All-Star break.
06:44Another Golden State three, this by Moody.
06:47Just like they started the basketball game, hot from three, aggressive, confident.
06:53Here's Vassell.
06:54Can't answer.
06:56And Webinyama trying to keep it alive, going over the top of Green,
06:59and it's last touched by Golden State.
07:00Another great check out by Draymond Green.
07:03You see his frustration, but he's doing his job.
07:07He's meeting with the, with physicality.
07:10You know, he's just saying,
07:12you are going to come over the top of me if you're going to get a rebound.
07:17Vassell catch and shoot, spins out, rebound Green.
07:23Golden State trying to run.
07:25Here is Melton.
07:26Got another three.
07:27Timeout San Antonio, a 9-0 run by the Warriors to start the third quarter.
07:40Our assist to the game is brought to you by State Farm.
07:43So if you're playing Victor Webinyama, because of the frame,
07:46you're going to be very physical with him.
07:48Draymond from the outset has been that.
07:51But it's not just Draymond.
07:52This is an obvious foul on Brandon Pujemski,
07:54but he's not going to lack for company or a level of physicality.
07:58So he's not going to run unassisted down the lane.
08:02DeAnthony Melton's going to hit him before he's got to tie his shoe.
08:06No offensive rebounds.
08:08Webinyama's got four pain points as we illustrated at the outset.
08:13Meanwhile, Golden State with 76 points and 12 three-pointers,
08:17and Steph Curry isn't playing tonight.
08:18And this is a team, they know they're under man.
08:22First of all, they play hard.
08:24They always have under Steve Curry.
08:26The culture is established.
08:28But you're down Steph Curry.
08:29You're down Jimmy Butler.
08:30You're down so many critical guys.
08:33It's constant movement, constant pressure.
08:37Like, no diminishing of effort.
08:41Golden State 29-25, currently an eighth in the West.
08:45Three games out of seventh, but also three games out of ninth.
08:49They were in the play in last year.
08:50They won the play in, then beat Houston in the first round.
08:53As Webinyama tips that pass off the window and in.
08:58He's got a team-high 15 points.
09:00He averages 24-and-a-half points per game on the season.
09:06Shot clock at 10.
09:08Draymond Green, six assists, no turnovers for the Warriors.
09:11He'll roll as Melton floats it to him.
09:14And Webinyama comes over, challenges it.
09:16The Green scores against him.
09:18And a foul.
09:21This is, this is...
09:23Draymond playing good basketball.
09:25You think about the comeback the other night.
09:26He was not on the floor.
09:28So a little pick and roll.
09:30When they started playing, catching cat and mouse.
09:33And Draymond knowing that I've got to do something to get him off balance.
09:39He was able to make the catch and the finish.
09:42The shooting hasn't been great for Draymond Green, but he's doing everything else.
09:46He's got 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.
09:51Lead is 14.
09:52It's the largest of the night for Golden State.
09:55And now a foul called on Draymond Green for pulling the sell down.
10:01Green and Andy Nagy having a conversation.
10:03Green is saying call the first foul.
10:05Not the pull down.
10:11That's Green's third foul.
10:15I mean, I disagree.
10:19I'm with you.
10:20I think they can call right.
10:21Yeah.
10:21That's...
10:21There is no first foul.
10:27Could you imagine if they called Draymond every time he made that kind of contact like the sell made?
10:31We would never leave the building if that were the case.
10:37Or he would leave the building early with six fouls.
10:39All right.
10:4136 years of age on March 4th.
10:44Out the basket for Castle and one the foul on Moody his fourth.
10:48So a three-point opportunity for Castle, just his second basket.
10:51How's the most of Moody?
10:54Fourth person on Moody's second.
10:55This guy dynamic.
10:56Just going to keep working that little up fake until Moody commits.
11:00How many times have you seen this guy in the paint?
11:02Two feet in the paint?
11:04It's just whether he finishes or doesn't.
11:06And I think his finishing in the paint is better than it was with his rookie work.
11:10It's going to do nothing but get better over Thomas.
11:13He is powerful.
11:15He's powerful, and I think the key for he and Dylan Harkin, they don't have to be lights-out shooters.
11:21But they have to be respectable, respectable enough to balance their explosive driving.
11:26We didn't even know if Castle would play tonight after a hard fall last night.
11:31He was listed as questionable.
11:34Shot clock at five.
11:36Spencer on the baseline.
11:37Able to put that on the rim.
11:39It wouldn't fall, but he's fouled.
11:42And he'll shoot two.
11:45Castle thought about going to the bench and like you say in the view, but it was such a half-hearted.
11:55Third foul on Castle.
11:59Team foul on San Antonio.
12:01And Pat Spencer, brother Cam, is with the Memphis Grizzlies.
12:08Spencer now started eight games this season, misses the first free throw.
12:12Take a look at the upcoming NBA national TV schedule.
12:15All-Star weekend starting Friday with the Ruffles Celebrity Game at 7 Eastern on ESPN over on Peacock at 9.
12:21The Rising Stars game.
12:22And then we've got the NBA HBCU Classic presented by AT&T and Peacock.
12:27ESPN2, NBA TV.
12:28You see the Saturday festivities as well, including the NBA All-Star Game on NBC.
12:32He's tipping off early for NBA All-Star Weekend because of the Olympics, of course.
12:39Victor Wimbanyama will be in Los Angeles.
12:42His second All-Star appearance.
12:43His first All-Star start.
12:45Steph Curry, his 12th All-Star selection, but he will not play because of the knee injury.
12:51Fox going baseline.
12:52Skip to Champagne.
12:54Shot blocked at three.
12:55Here's Vassell.
12:56Three is no good.
12:57And dropped down by Melton.
13:03Melton gets past Castle, trying to recover, and Melton hits the deck.
13:09Able to keep the possession going, and good to see him get to his feet after the injury last year.
13:15Santos couldn't finish, and Wemby brings it up the floor.
13:17And, boy, again, defensively, your challenge on that screen.
13:26Do you go with Fox or do you go with Wimbanyama?
13:29That's your dilemma, maybe, because Foxy getting downhill to his left hand in particular is very difficult,
13:36but you can see it.
13:37There's Draymond.
13:38He's thinking about that dilemma.
13:40It goes the wrong way.
13:41All right.
13:42They are undermanned and facing a fully loaded second place in the West Golden State team.
13:50So the veteran is saying, you know what?
13:53We scrapped our way to a win down double digits much of the other night.
13:56We've got to have our defense in point.
13:58This is an extended conversation with Brandon Poczemski,
14:01talking about the angles he's taking against a particular player from the San Antonio Spurs.
14:07At the end of it, he says, listen, if that's the guy shooting the jump shot,
14:10Mike Getz is, he's talking about Stephon Gapto.
14:12We'll live with that.
14:13Like, don't underestimate how important this game is for both teams,
14:17but Golden State, you're a veteran, is the voice.
14:20You're up 10 at home.
14:21Keep the pressure on.
14:22Keep playing good basketball.
14:24And if you're Golden State, you talk about the importance for both teams.
14:27In San Antonio, it's obvious they've won five in a row.
14:30They're trying to, as Santos misses inside of Wimbanyama gets the rebound,
14:34they're trying to keep the streak going.
14:36Golden State, if they win and Curry comes back on Thursday,
14:39after the All-Star break, that means they're like three and two without it.
14:43Right.
14:44Massive.
14:48Corner three, Santos off the mark and rebounded by Castle.
14:53San Antonio trying to cut it to single figures.
14:56The Spurs have trailed throughout.
14:58Largest deficit was 14 earlier in the quarter.
15:01Castle again powering it up, but missing that time.
15:05He's frustrated that he's not getting any calls.
15:08Spencer gets a great look, but can't hit it.
15:18And a foul on Castle as he knocked Santos down.
15:22That's four on Stephon Castle.
15:25Lose ball foul under five, Stephon Castle.
15:29Fourth personal, fourth team foul.
15:32Fourth team foul.
15:33Al Harford returns for the Orioles.
15:36And so Castle and Champagny will go to the bench.
15:40Melvin Johnson and Dylan Harper check in.
15:45Now, with Draymond and Al on the floor,
15:48in those minutes, defensively, Al seemed to be taking Victor Wimbanyama.
15:54We'll see on the next matchup if that sticks.
15:56Horford has four points in 14 minutes.
16:06Gary Payton yet to check in in the second half.
16:08Had a great first half with ten points and five assists.
16:11Spencer with the hook shot off the window.
16:14Harper to the corner.
16:22Keldon Johnson launches.
16:24Can't connect.
16:25And rebound Santos.
16:32Sajemski working with Draymond Green on the screen.
16:36Now fires underneath.
16:37And it was last touched by Bissell.
16:3911 to shoot for Golden State.
16:45Year 14 for Green.
16:47He'll turn 36 in three weeks.
16:49He was first-team all-defense a year ago.
16:52His ninth selection to an all-defensive team.
17:00Shot clock down to four.
17:03Spencer driving on Fox.
17:04And Spencer with back-to-back banks.
17:07Different sides of the floor.
17:09How about that guy?
17:10One year of college basketball.
17:13And before college basketball,
17:17the NCAA assist leader in lacrosse at Loyola, Maryland for four years.
17:2429 years old, but his third NBA season.
17:29Horford backing down Johnson.
17:31Bounces underneath.
17:32Santos, goaltending on Wenminyama.
17:35And the lead is 16, the largest of the game.
17:38They've been back-cut a lot.
17:39And you know what Golden State's going to do.
17:41I keep talking about having to guard their movement.
17:45Multiple times, Victor included.
17:48They've been caught sleeping on the back door.
17:50And it's ended up in a paintball.
17:55We'll take pace, take part in the celebrity game of the Kia Form in Englewood on Friday.
18:00On ESPN, starting at 7 Eastern.
18:04Giannis will not play, but he will coach.
18:06Giannis and Mookie Betts are the two head coaches.
18:09So, if you're the Spurs, one shot here in the third quarter as Victor Wenminyama ends up on the bench getting his rest again.
18:25But the Spurs, overall, just three for 11 in the quarter.
18:34I just could not be more impressed with Golden State and their disposition, their effort, their intensity.
18:42They've been pretty good defensively all year.
18:46They are number seven in defensive rating.
18:48Johnson drives and scores, plus a foul on Golden State.
18:52Got a chance at a three-point play.
18:58That is on Santos.
18:59That is his fourth.
19:00So, Santos and Moody with four each.
19:03And Castle has four for the Spurs.
19:08Kelvin Johnson, one of the candidates for sixth man of the year.
19:12He's had an excellent year.
19:17If you listen to anybody around this organization, they say heart and soul of this group is Kelvin Johnson.
19:24He's quite the spirit in the locker room, apparently.
19:28Now in his seventh NBA season, out of Kentucky.
19:32Midway point of the third quarter.
19:34Peyton for three, no.
19:35And backside rebound Johnson.
19:36Johnson going to work again on offense and scoring against Santos, who had to be careful not to pick up that fifth foul.
19:48Well, when I told you in the second quarter, when they had 16 rebounds, eight offensive, their bench was terrific.
19:54Spencer weaving through traffic, out to Peyton, spot on three, on the front rim.
20:03And Cornette, who's in for when Mignogna gets the rebound.
20:06Harper looking to push tempo.
20:13Harper keeping that pivoted foot down, looking for a teammate.
20:15Now it's out for Johnson, who's got the hot hand.
20:18Shot clock at seven.
20:19Johnson will keep.
20:21He misses.
20:22Cornette bats it to him.
20:23And this time he scores.
20:25Again, this group doing a heck of a job.
20:28And how about them, that little ability to keep that alive, gets him a bucket.
20:34Spencer lobs and too high for Gary Payton.
20:37San Antonio has it down the nine.
20:41Harper driving.
20:42Contact with Kajemski.
20:43No whistle either way.
20:45The basket is good.
20:46And Steve Kern calls a timeout.
20:48The repeat of the second quarter, where their bench gave them a tremendous lift.
20:53I actually love the non-call here.
20:56I did not think there was enough contact.
20:57But what a finish.
20:59Keldon Johnson and now Mr. Harper doing a little work in the paint.
21:07Last game before the All-Star break for these two teams.
21:10And a 9-0 run right now by San Antonio to cut the deficit to seven.
21:15I've been to that Ghirardelli shot we just showed you.
21:18And I had no discipline in it.
21:21It's hard to.
21:30Seven-point game.
21:32Keldon Johnson with seven points in just over a minute.
21:35And then Harper had the basket.
21:36Right before the commercial break.
21:39Shot clock inside a 10.
21:40Pajemski skipped through two defenders.
21:43Spot on three post.
21:44Front rim though.
21:46Out of bounds.
21:47And it will go to San Antonio.
21:49Keldon Johnson doing a heck of a job mixing things up on the glass.
21:53Both ends.
21:57He was 67-63 at halftime.
22:00Cornette with a slam.
22:01Great entry pass.
22:02How about Dylan Harper?
22:03That was a tight window.
22:06Heck of a catch.
22:07Heck of a pass.
22:09Eleven straight Spurs points.
22:11Trying to stop the bleeding.
22:12Melton cannot with a three try.
22:15It pinballs to Horford.
22:17Back out Melton.
22:20Shot clock down to seven.
22:21Melton driving kick.
22:22Four and three.
22:23Post.
22:24Got it.
22:25Went in post.
22:26Ends the 11-0.
22:27Spurs run.
22:28Post had not scored in his last three games.
22:36And in five minutes tonight, he's got eight points.
22:43Barnes through the lane.
22:44And Harrison Barnes able to knock it down for his second field goal.
22:48And his first four years with the Warriors part of that 2015 NBA championship team.
23:00Pejemsky goes right past Cornette.
23:02And that could have been a foul on Pejemsky.
23:04And it will be.
23:07His first.
23:08Sell that thing, Luke Cornette.

32:30They've done a good job, for the most part, protecting the basketball, but they're now up to 10 turnovers.
32:36Got a foul here, and they're going to say, in the act of shooting, Keldon Johnson holding his left hand.
32:45Santos picks up his fifth personal foul.
32:48He's a starter now because of all the injuries they've got.
32:54Short close by Guy Santos on the jump shot, but in retreating,
32:58his feet get tangled, and he gets called for a foul.
33:03First team foul on the Warriors.
33:05He's played hero a couple times, including the last game, Guy Santos.
33:12With a game-winning shot against Memphis Monday, Johnson hits the first free throw,
33:16so Santos to the bench with nine points and five fouls.
33:21And Peyton with 10 points and 12 minutes back on the court.
33:29Great third quarter for Keldon Johnson.
33:35And he's got 14 points.
33:37He averages about that on the season.
33:38Four-point lead for the Spurs.
33:42San Antonio trying to win it sixth in a row.
33:45That would be the longest streak right now in the NBA.
33:48Cleveland won the night, so they've won five in a row along with the Spurs.
33:51James Harden has provided a boost for that Cavalier team.
33:56Peyton gets his own miss, but couldn't keep it from going out of bounds.
34:00It's time to take the ball.
34:09Bowling State now under 50% from the floor.
34:16They shot close to 60% in the first quarter.
34:22We've got a 20-point swing here in the last eight, nine minutes.
34:26Steph Curry knew this would be an uphill battle.
34:29And, like, the first quarter could not have gone any better.
34:32They made shots out of the gates.
34:34Same thing to start the third.
34:36Just trying to keep game pressure.
34:39And when you're this under man, what you're trying to do is you're trying to get down below five minutes with a shot to take this.
34:46Steph Curry missing his fifth straight game with a knee injury.
34:49Kristaps Porzingis came over on the train with Atlanta.
34:52He hasn't even played since early January.
34:54Seth Curry, they're hoping to give him some minutes off the bench.
34:57He's out as well.
34:59Will Richard, who's given Steve Kerr good minutes off the bench this year, he's not available tonight either.
35:06Wendell Yama driving, collides with Draymond Green.
35:09They're going to call Green for the block.
35:11That's his fourth.
35:12Yeah, I thought it was a block right away.
35:14I mean, he's frustrated, but...
35:17They're looking to the back bench.
35:22And Steve Kerr will challenge.
35:24Wow.
35:28Steve Kerr is screaming it through Chief Josh Tivin.
35:35We'll look at it during the break.
35:37The NBA on ESPN is presented all season long by State Farm.
35:45Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.
35:48And in part by Popeyes.
35:50Love that chicken from Popeyes.
35:54Ruling on the floor is upheld by replay.
35:57A defensive foul on Draymond Green, his fourth personal.
36:00I think this was the right call.
36:03I thought he was not in the path when Victor went to gather it.
36:08Steve Kerr and Draymond Green extended conversation after Josh Tivin came with the replay.
36:16And I've got to say this about Josh Tivin.
36:19Like, he got an earful from both Steve and from Draymond.
36:24And he was patient.
36:26He listened.
36:27He let them voice their frustration.
36:32And I think because they kept it respectful,
36:35he had the equanimity to just hold his ground
36:39and be confident in the call that his crew made.
36:43And I think good officials do give people a listen
36:47if they have a real grievance in their mind.
36:50I just, I thought it was really good officiating all around by Josh.
36:54When Vinyama goes one for two at the line.
36:5713-0 run by the Spurs going back to the third quarter.
37:00Their lead is five.
37:02Peyton under deep.
37:03When Vinyama lurking, so he kicks it out.
37:05Champagne blocked it.
37:07Shot clock at three for Moody.
37:08Reverse layup is good.
37:10First points in a while for Moses Moody.
37:13Big one.
37:13So, I mean, all the momentum had been taken away from them,
37:16but they were starting to struggle.
37:18So, that's a big one.
37:23Fox trying to get downhill.
37:24Lodge for Winyama.
37:26And the smash.
37:3120 points for Victor Winyama.
37:35Seventh assist for De'Aaron Fox.
37:37Winyama almost caught that in the air.
37:40Spencer thought it was a goaltend.
37:41He's had two of those.
37:43Taking it all the way to the cup.
37:46Dylan Harper.
37:47And it's a seven-point lead.
37:49The largest for San Antonio.
37:50But Winyama's ability to navigate the person coming downhill at him
37:54and still be positioned.
37:56Look at the amount of times he makes you go,
37:58ah, no, actually, let's get that out of the paint.
38:01And then look at Pajemski.
38:02Winyama, it's like pulling the chair out of a guy driving.
38:07He just backed away.
38:08Pajemski took the shot.
38:10But it was right in front of us.
38:12The way he shot it, it looked like he thought Winyama was coming out on him to block it.
38:17Yep, and you see Winyama calling on the other end for the alley-oop.
38:21And then just watch this.
38:22This is just absurd.
38:24He had one of these in the first half.
38:26And everybody in the building is calling for goaltending.
38:28And Josh is pointing.
38:29Josh Tiven pointed up like, no, no, no, no, folks.
38:32Believe it or not, that sucker was still going up.
38:34This guy's insane.
38:36Winyama, three-pointer is good.
39:02They hadn't had that part of his game going all night.
39:08He's been such a major force on defense.
39:10His communication back there is exquisite.
39:14It's a 20-2 run right now by San Antonio.
39:19Shot clock down to seven.
39:21Horford going one-on-one with Johnson.
39:23Kicks it out to Spencer.
39:27Post drains a three from the corner.
39:29A much-needed hit by Clinton Post.
39:32Yeah, but you know how many efforts Winyama makes on one defensive sequence?
39:40Winyama driving through the lane and foul.
39:43He'll go back to the line.
39:44And this guy is just ridiculous.
39:51I mean, the number of things Winyama does on a defensive sequence, okay?
39:56He is thinking about, okay, a little mismatch.
39:58Let me come help.
39:59Now he's the closest guy to go in rotation.
40:03And look at the effort he makes.
40:05And, folks, that's been all night.
40:07Constant communication.
40:08Do you have any idea how important it is to have bigs that communicate well?
40:13You want to know why Oklahoma City's defense is as good as this?
40:17Watch Hartenstein and Chet communicate on the defensive end for Oklahoma City.
40:22That guy sees everything.
40:23Your ability to communicate.
40:25Which side is the screen?
40:26Which way are we pushing somebody?
40:28You going over?
40:29You going under?
40:30You icing?
40:31What are you doing?
40:31That level of communication makes such an impact.
40:35And doing it at such a young age.
40:3822 years of age.
40:39Third NBA season.
40:42Third team foul on Golden State.
40:50And when Winyama misses another free throw.
40:53He's 6 of 8 at the line.
40:5424 points right at his season average.
40:568 rebounds.
40:573 assists.
40:582 blocks.
40:59And it's an 8-point San Antonio lead.
41:03With the forces depleted for Golden State, where will the offense come from to try to make a run here?
41:11Horford, corner 3.
41:12No good.
41:13Pajemski can't stick it back.
41:15And, again, you wonder, with Winyama lurking, is that why Pajemski didn't bring it down?
41:22Harper in transition.
41:23Gets 2.
41:24Wow.
41:24Just this guy.
41:25Again, I keep talking about their dynamic guards.
41:27I think Josh Timmons is going to give.
41:31Is he giving Draymond Green a technical foul?
41:33No technical.
41:41No technical.
41:41Josh Timmons did point at Draymond Green.
41:51And he got off the bench like he was upset about San Francisco.
41:54Delay of game.
41:56Well, it was a delay of game warning on Golden State.
42:01San Antonio, San Antonio, San Antonio, San Antonio, San Antonio, San Antonio, San Antonio, San Antonio, and it's something we've talked to Mitch about, you know, when he's liked it and why, now they're going to send Winyama, but you've got a brief look, and that's why the stretch 5 is so important, right?
42:16Al got the clean look from 3, because the bigs were having a move, now Mitch is going to say, no, let's go single big.
42:21And this is the group that made the run for San Antonio on the third, much of the group with Cornette on the floor, instead of Winyama, shot clock at 3 for Golden State.
42:28Post-driving kicks.
42:29And with about 0.1 on the shot clock, Melton fires and connects on a 3.
42:4233 assists for Golden State.
42:4833 assists for Golden State.

45:50Меджемский, working on Cornette, steps back and puts up an air ball.
45:55Wembenyama's on the bench and he's still altering shots.
46:01Johnson for three.
46:03In and out.
46:05Rebound post.
46:08We're going to get Victor Wembenyama in on the next dead ball.
46:11Melton trying to put on the brakes.
46:22Out to Moody.
46:24Not even close on the three ball.
46:30The Warriors are seeing ghosts right now.
46:32No kidding.
46:34I mean Moody on that particular shot.
46:37Think about how confidently he shot the three in the first hand.
46:41That looked like a guy who wasn't sure he wanted to shoot it.
46:46And when you see Wembenyama catch a block out of midair
46:48and forcing guys one-on-one in the lane to continue to kick it out,
46:53you wonder where the next block is coming from.
46:58Even when he's not in the game.
47:00Gold State's got 39 points in the half.
47:02They're down eight.
47:02Can they get a stop?
47:03Mid-range jumper.
47:04No good from Castle.
47:06Johnson got the offensive rebound.
47:07And a foul.
47:10Fourteen foul on the Warriors.
47:12Two free throws coming up.
47:13Thelton picks up a second personal.
47:20Draymond Green back on the court.
47:23They've matched his minutes almost entirely with Victor Wembenyama.
47:29Yep, he's played 25.
47:31Wembenyama's played 29.
47:34And most of the minutes that Wembenyama's been out there,
47:37so has Draymond Green.
47:3812 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists for Green.
47:41Is that a great night?
47:43Wembenyama.
47:44Wembenyama.
47:46As Green flies by, Wembenyama misses the three.
47:49The tip no good on the first try, but on the second, Castle bats it in.
47:53But that guy's ability to board it.
47:56Quick second jump by Castle.
47:59Pajemski loses his footing, but tripped by Johnson.
48:02His second foul, fourth team foul on San Antonio.
48:05Now Horford going to jump back in for Golden State as well.
48:09And De'Aaron Fox.
48:11Get your respective closing units on the floor.
48:21If San Antonio hangs on and wins this game, they'll go to 38-16.
48:26That'll be their best record at this stage of the year since 2017.
48:30They have not made the playoffs the last six years.
48:34Their last series win was in 2017.
48:39Trying to keep pace with Oklahoma City.
48:41Stay in the mix.
48:42Try to get that one seed.
48:45They're three back right now in the lost column.
48:47Pajemski for three.
48:49A round that out.
48:50And Keldon goes and gets another rebound.
48:55And Stefan Castle out.
48:56Harper keeps playing.
48:59Meanwhile, Pajemski's missed seven shot attempts in a row after a four-for-four start.
49:04Johnson backing down Green.
49:06Goes to the left hand and scores.
49:08Largest lead of the night for the Spurs.
49:17Green attacks.
49:18Scores and a foul.
49:19Great take by Green.
49:21Plus one.
49:22Mitch Johnson is absolutely furious, as he should be.
49:31That's just a young, inexcusable mistake right there.
49:36I mean, how does he go uncontested down the lane?
49:39This is why San Antonio's Mitch is upset.
49:44How are you?
49:45Scott Van Pelt getting set for SportsCenter.
49:47Kawhi unstoppable, particularly in the fourth.
49:50Michael Malone stops by to break down the NBA's first half.
49:53Speaking of unstoppable, Gino Ariema stops by.
49:56His UConn squad continues to roll.
49:59Dave Pashto, Doris Burke, back to you.
50:01Impressive back-to-back going on for the Spurs.
50:05No doubt, Scott, when you consider what they did last night against,
50:08granted an undermanned Laker team,
50:10but Wembenyama going for 40, 37 at halftime.
50:14Out of the second night of a back-to-back,
50:16while the numbers aren't as gaudy, they're still darn good.
50:19At 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
50:25Just remember about this Golden State team.
50:27In this 2-2 stretch, they've been down double digits,
50:30including by 10, with 4 minutes to go in their last game.
50:33Like, Mitch was hot and should have been hot at that last breakdown.
50:37You've got to finish this.
50:38Fox pulls up and scores again.
50:42De'Aaron Fox with 25.
50:47San Antonio matching its largest lead of the game at 12,
50:50with 2-1⁄2 to play.
50:52Trying to stretch the win streak to 6.
50:55Be their second longest of the year.
50:57They had an 8-game win streak in December.
50:59Green, though, switching home a 3-pointer.
51:04They'll stay within striking distance.
51:1117 points for Green to go with 12 boards, 7 assists.
51:16And he's done a good job defending Wembenyama.
51:19Harper in the lane, brings it back out.
51:21Shot clock down to 8.
51:22Fox walks into a 3.
51:26Rattles around but won't fall.
51:28Santos, though, could not get the rebound.
51:30That's Wembenyama's reach, though, forcing that to happen.
51:34Again, Draymond with a great check-out.
51:37But because he's got that kind of reach,
51:392 go to the basketball, level of physicality there.
51:43Ball comes a little long, but Wembeny's working,
51:46and Santos can't get it.
51:49He did have Green wrapped up there.
51:50Could have called a foul.
51:51And that left arm, as Green gets a steal.
51:55A chance here for Golden State.
51:57Big possession, down 9.
51:59Green hit a 3 a moment ago.
52:02Nice cut for Jemsky.
52:04Green, you know, is going to find him.
52:06That's 8 assists for Green, and it's a 7-point game.
52:08An exchange communication happens late by San Antonio.
52:13I'm telling you, they don't quit.
52:15No Steph Curry for the 5th straight game.
52:18Jimmy Butler tore his ACL a few weeks ago.
52:21Porzingis hasn't played yet.
52:23Yet the Warriors are hanging with the team that has the third-best record in the league.
52:27Keldon Johnson, though, who's had a great second half, scores again.
52:31There's a reason he and Harper are on the floor.
52:33Number 1, Johnson will mix it up and board it on both ends.
52:36And he's fearless offensively.
52:40Santos couldn't handle the pass.
52:42A turnover by Golden State.
52:45Spurs up 9.
52:47Barnes.
52:49And now Wembenyama.
52:50They're not going to take the shot just yet, although Wembenyama has the mismatch on Moody.
52:54Now he'll post up.
53:00Wembenyama foul.
53:01And he'll shoot 2.
53:06How about the 2 blocks, this guy?
53:08When they get him on a mismatch, he's just going to be physical.
53:11Get that turn around jump shot.
53:14He had 1 block in each half.
53:16Did you think there is no shot he can get to that?
53:18And it makes you a little shaky on the offensive end about what he can get to.
53:26Leads the league in blocks at about 2.7.
53:29He was hovering around 4 each of the last 2 years per game.
53:34And this is him pre-game, doing some visualization before the game.
53:40This is him at halftime.
53:42Seen him do it at the free throw line.
53:44And visualize, I'm 7'4 with an array of basketball skills.
53:49Put it on the deck, shoot 3, block shot.
53:54Visualize this, Dave Pasch.
53:55He's visualizing, saying, I'm going to steal your soul tonight,
53:59which it seemed like he did in this fourth quarter.
54:02Because since that second block, the Warriors offense has not been as good.
54:08And he forces another turnover there.
54:10Fox in transition with the dagger.
54:15The Spurs will stretch their winning streak to 6 in a row, longest active in the NBA.
54:25San Antonio will improve to 38-16.
54:28Golden State will fall to 29-26.
54:31San Antonio last year won 34 games the whole season.
54:39And they'll be at 38 wins going into the All-Star break here in 20-26.
54:44Impressive.
54:46Close to this one, because it's like an uphill battle for much of a night.
54:50Hardest grip by the Warriors.
54:52Hardest grip by the Warriors.
54:55Golden Johnson at 18 points in the second half.
54:58A 29-point swing in the second half.
55:02Warriors were up 16 in the third quarter.
55:05The Spurs, though, close it out and win it 126-113.
55:10This second half defense by San Antonio, that's what we've been seeing all year
55:13after giving up 67 in the first half.
55:16Yeah.
55:17They give a big shot to their bench, Dave.
55:19And the two times they needed to make big runs, the bench was sensational tonight.
55:24Best start in nine years for San Antonio.
55:30They will head to the All-Star break with the second-best record in the West,
55:33third-best in the NBA, with their sixth consecutive win.
55:37Five of those by double figures.
55:4026 points for Wembenyama.
55:42Nine rebounds, four assists, and two blocks.
55:45The Aaron Fox had 27 points and eight assists on 11 of 16 shooting.
55:56And how about the San Antonio bench with 57 points, led by Keldon Johnson's 21?
56:01Let's go to George.
56:03Thanks, Dave.
56:04Victor, they were just talking about your bench, 57 points.
56:06And really, Keldon Johnson helped flip this game.
56:09How did that go about?
56:10I mean, they were beating us with effort early in the game when the Star Wars were in.
56:16So, you said Keldon, but the bench in general responded the right way.
56:21De'Aaron also, big contributions, especially in the first half.
56:23He kind of helped you guys stay afloat.
56:25What can you say about De'Aaron's contributions?
56:27You know, some nights it's scoring, some nights it's passing.
56:30Yeah.
56:30No, I mean, he's an experienced player.
56:32He knows how to fit in any collective.
56:35So, I mean, when he's playing well, we're an amazing team.
56:39It felt like this team, though, you know, they came out with the first punch and you guys
56:42had to respond.
56:43In that response, I mean, you've been on this side of the equation now twice, right?
56:47San Antonio, or in San Antonio against OKC and against this team.
56:51How difficult is that when you're facing a team who's shorthanded?
56:55It's a different game, you know.
56:57Not as much of a technical basketball game, you know, but tactically they're a very experienced
57:03team.
57:03It doesn't matter that, you know, some of their best players, and their best players out.
57:06And when they play with the effort like this, they're a very hard team to beat.
57:11That's why they've been so deep in the playoffs so many times.
57:13Lastly, All-Star break is coming up.
57:16What are you most looking forward to?
57:18I'm looking forward to not being as, you know, strict in my, like right now, I don't know,
57:24I might go to bed one hour later or something because I don't know how to rest up in the
57:29next.
57:30I don't know.
57:31We still got the All-Star game, but it's going to be a little easier.
57:34Go have some fun at the All-Star game.
57:36It's fun for me is winning.
57:38All right, Victor, congratulations.
57:40Thank you.
57:40We'll see you this weekend.
57:40Thank you.
57:41Thank you.
57:42Thank you, Dave.
57:43Yeah, George, we just dictated with the video package just showing how intense and locked
57:49in he is in the regular season game.
57:51So he can breathe a little bit at the All-Star game, but he will be playing as a starter for
57:56the first time in his career.
57:58He helps the Spurs get their sixth consecutive win the night, 126-113 over Golden State for
58:05Doris Berg and George Rodano, Dave Pasch.
58:08SVP, SportsCenter, take it away.
