00:30He has a chance to win six games in a row for the Spurs going into the All-Star break.
00:35And Castle is playing.
00:36What a tough kid.
00:38Yeah, I mean, I think what you're looking at here is will they put Draymond Green back on him?
00:43That was such a spicy matchup on Victor because this is what's been happening.
00:47Like last night, they put Jake LeRavey on him.
00:49It didn't go well.
00:50But Draymond Green, you know, this is the way they've been playing, Coach.
00:54You put a power forward on him to try to get up underneath him.
00:57And Draymond has been as successful as anybody against him in the league this year.
01:01Well, this game right here for the Spurs is going to tell all the doubters what they need to know.
01:06Meaning they want to win this game.
01:10They want to get close to the number one seed as they possibly can or get the number one seed in the Western Conference.
01:16And it starts now.
01:17Like we're past the halfway mark.
01:18And if you think the Spurs are not talking about capturing this moment or catching up to the Oklahoma City Thunder, y'all are crazy.
01:26They want the number one spot.
01:27So, Victor, I believe here, is doing visualization.
01:31He's a big believer in visualization.
01:33I don't 100% know.
01:34I was, too.
01:35I was, too.
01:36On the bench?
01:37Not on the bench, but you got to manifest what you're going to do.
01:40You got to think about some moments throughout the course of the game.
01:42It's a real thing.
01:43Now, listen, people took it out of context last week when I, you know, said Victor and I are the same.
01:50I wasn't talking about skills.
01:51I was talking about our mentality.
01:53The mindset.
01:54It's all the mindset.
01:55Yeah, it's that mindset that's very similar.
01:57The Golden State Warriors, shorthanded, no Steph Curry, and still waiting for Kristaps Rozingis to make his debut.
02:02Yeah, probably going to be after the All-Star break, obviously, for both of them.
02:05But they're going to need a solution for number one.
02:09Yeah, this is Wemby's world, and we're all living in it.
02:13We'll get you out to Golden State right after this.
02:14What's his new name, Wendy?
02:16Take it.
02:16The NBA on ESPN is presented all season long by State Farm.
02:21Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.
02:24And in part by Popeyes.
02:26Love that chicken from Popeyes.
02:29And Ford.
02:36The hottest team in the NBA plays its final game before the All-Star break as the San Antonio Spurs.
02:43Winners of five in a row visit Chase Center in San Francisco to face the Golden State Warriors.
02:50San Antonio is, of course, led by 22-year-old Victor Wemby-Nyama, coming off one of the greatest single-game performances in the glorious history of one of the NBA's most successful franchises.
03:01This is NBA Wednesday, presented by State Farm.
03:06San Antonio's second in the West at 37-16.
03:10The Warriors in seventh in the West at 29-25.
03:14Hi, everybody.
03:15Dave Pasch, Doris Burke, and George Sedano.
03:17Last night against the Lakers, Victor Wemby-Nyama went off.
03:21He had the second-ever 40-point double-double in less than 26 minutes.
03:25And in the first half, Doris, he had 37 points, the most by a spur this decade in a single half.
03:31An absolutely dazzling display of incredible basketball skill.
03:35And this was a team that wanted to send a message early to an undermanned Laker team that they were not skipping ahead to All-Star break, that they were prepared to play.
03:44Nobody better equipped to lead them than that guy right there.
03:47Meanwhile, for the Warriors, no Jimmy Butler, of course, out for the year.
03:51No Porzingis, no Steph Curry, although he'll join George Sedano in the first quarter.
03:56But these are the five Steve Curry is relying on.
03:58This is what they did Monday against Memphis.
04:00This collective group was down double digits the vast majority of the game, including by 10 with four minutes to go.
04:06But a great culture and great competitive spirit enables them to come back, and they have to do it this way without Steph.
04:13A ton of balance across the board.
04:14Starting lineups brought to you by Cron Royal.
04:17You saw the five for Golden State.
04:19Stephon Castle is starting tonight for San Antonio, despite a bruised pelvis after a hard fall, and only played about 12 minutes last night.
04:31But the head coach, Mitch Johnson, said he is tough, going to take a lot more than that to keep the 21-year-old out of the lineup.
04:39Now, we mentioned that Curry is out.
04:47The hope is that both he and Chris Stapps Porzingis will be back for the Warriors after the All-Star break.
04:54A week from tomorrow against Boston.
04:57Of course, Victor Wembenyama will be playing in the All-Star game.
05:00Steph Curry was named a starter for the 11th time, an All-Star for the 12th, but he will not play.
05:05This will be Wembenyama's second appearance, first as a starter.
05:10De'Aaron Fox misses the shot, something he should be a reserve in the All-Star game.
05:14San Antonio, despite the NBA's third-best record with just one player, an All-Star.
05:20Draymond Green can't knock down the three.
05:22Spencer got the offensive rebound, and Moody swishes home a three-pointer to get the scoring started.
05:30Well, this is a three-point-heavy team anyway.
05:32Without Steph, they're going to try to get as many jacks from that area as they possibly can.
05:37They lead the NBA in made threes at 16 per game.
05:40Fox finds Wembenyama for the easy two.
05:44Assuming that was a pass over the rim.
05:46No question.
05:49That's not your friendly scorebook, Dave.
05:51That's just facts.
05:53When you've got a guy that's that tall, even if it's an airball four feet short of the rim, it's a great pass.
06:01Green swings it to Melton, and he drains a three.
06:05Two for two, start from deep for Golden State.
06:08The Warriors are two-and-two in the four games that Curry has missed with that knee injury.
06:18Here's Wembenyama on the turnaround, and he has all four for San Antonio.
06:22Very similar start to what we saw last night.
06:25Well, those two teams, these two teams played competitive basketball games.
06:30Steph averaged 47-and-a-half, and Draymond did a very good job on Victor Wembenyama.
06:36That is a matchup I can't wait.
06:38What has Victor taken from the first two against Draymond?
06:41Good hustle by Spencer to knock it away.
06:44The Warriors won both those games in November in San Antonio.
06:50Here's Castle.
06:52Bissell on the spot.
06:53Short, and Draymond Green with a good blockout.
06:56He's had two consecutive terrific blockouts, understanding that because of his reach,
07:01he really has to do a great job with his body contact on Victor.
07:06Moody, hard screen set by Green, and the ball away gets the bounce.
07:15Five points early on for Moody, who's had a pair of 25-point games in his last six.
07:22His teammates talk about he's got a very even-keeled demeanor.
07:27But, to me, you can see his confidence is so much higher.
07:30Fox with the floater.
07:32And when you've got Wembenyama there, if you're the defense, what do you do?
07:35Because you already saw the lob.
07:37So you back away, and then he takes the teardrop.
07:42Puts the D in a tough bind.
07:44Moody through the lane.
07:45Green, mid-range shot.
07:47And he's able to push it down.
07:48Great start for this team, who has actually done a good job here at home.
07:5518-9 overall.
07:59Castle, nice move, getting to the short corner and banking at home.
08:06First points for Castle.
08:08Second-year player out of Connecticut, the rookie of the year last year.
08:12Here's Spencer, can't get the scoop.
08:14Matt Spencer recently got his contract converted to a standard deal.
08:18Former undrafted player who was a lacrosse standout at Loyola
08:23before playing one-year college basketball at Northwestern.
08:27He's now in the NBA.
08:28Green's three is good.
08:29The third triple for Golden State to start the game.
08:36A turnover.
08:38Santos waiting for some help.
08:42Now it goes on the attack.
08:44And draws the foul.
08:47A start here by the Warriors.
08:50You know what you're going to get from this group in terms of energy.
08:54Well, you know, the variance with shooting is obviously such a significant factor in today's NBA.
08:59They have started the game hot from three.
09:01Draymond is taking a career high from three.
09:05Still only 33%.
09:07But Steve Kerr telling us a year ago, we want him taking those shots.
09:11The numbers, all the analytics say yes.
09:13His percentage isn't great.
09:15But overall, because of our offensive rebounding, our points per possession when Draymond shoots threes
09:21is better than a turnover or a mid-range shot.
09:24That's been two.
09:25Sixty-nine made threes on the season now for Draymond Green.
09:29As Pajempsey checks in, Spencer to the bench.
09:32First free throw was no good for Santos after the De'Aaron Fox personal foul.
09:38One out of two for Santos.
09:40Scored in double figures in the last seven games, averaging 15 points per game during that contest.
09:46Three-pointer Champagny off the mark.
09:50San Antonio 0 for 2.
09:52Another good block out of Wemenyama.
09:54I was just going to say it, Dave.
09:55I mean, it's three times that he's not been in position at all to use his length to get aboard.
10:00Moody downhill.
10:02Missed the shot.
10:03Long rebound.
10:04Green able to shield Wemenyama from the basketball.
10:06Great pass underneath to Santos by Green for the easy basket.
10:14And a timeout by San Antonio.
10:20So his passing, his three-point shooting, but more importantly, the job he's doing in the minutes against Wemenyama,
10:26keeping him off the boards.
10:27But at his best, this is one of his best skills.
10:31They're here in San Francisco.
10:32The Warriors with an early lead with 7.40 to go in the first quarter.
10:36Spurs head coach, their rookie head coach, Mitch Johnson, will be coaching in the All-Star Game this Sunday in Los Angeles.
10:43Johnson will be coaching the Team USA Stripes on Sunday.
10:47Steph Curry was going to be on that team prior to his injury.
10:50The team will also have LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
10:53The USA Stripes team will compete against the USA Stars and Team World in a round-robin tournament in 12-minute games.
10:59Johnson told us, though, that he got great advice from Miami Heat head coach Eric Spolstra about coaching the event.
11:05The two-time championship coach reminded Johnson about compartmentalizing all that comes with those kinds of moments.
11:11And then Johnson added, it'll hit him when he's there in L.A. with his family.
11:15And certainly when he's looking up in the huddle and he sees his coaching guys who were All-Stars when their head coach was still in high school.
11:21Well, Dave and DB, it's a life-comes-at-you-fast story for Ms. Johnson as Harper drains a three for the Spurs.
11:27You think about 16 months ago, he wasn't even a head coach of the NBA.
11:30He was an assistant on the staff.
11:32Greg Popovich obviously had the stroke.
11:34He ends up coaching the rest of the season, getting the full-time job, and now he's coaching the All-Star Game.
11:39In part because Mark Dagnall is ineligible to represent the West because he was the All-Star coach last year.
11:46Yeah, but, I mean, how gracious has he been taking over for, many would say, the greatest coach in history.
11:54I mean, some argument for Phil Jackson, obviously, in terms of total titles.
11:59This is going to be changed to Warriors ball.
12:01But you're replacing the legend in Greg Popovich.
12:04And to do it as seamlessly as he has done it, to sustain the culture, but somehow make this your own thing, it's been incredible.
12:13And you want to watch a competitive guy who maybe his demeanor doesn't belie how competitive he is, watch Mitch Johnson.
12:21Was a four-year player at Stanford, played with the Lopez twins, ten years now on the staff with the Spurs,
12:27and in the Coach of the Year conversation.
12:29Vassell's three off the mark, and Al Horford has really stuffed him.
12:33His game lately got the rebound.
12:34Here's Pijemski.
12:35Three is good, and that is the fourth three-pointer to start the game for Golden State.
12:40They're just playing free and loose, right?
12:42You know that the idea is get as many of these off as possible.
12:48Wimbenyama answers from deep.
12:50He is three for three, seven points.
12:53He had 17 of the first 20 Spurs points last night.
13:00Pijemski feeling it off the bench.
13:02Back-to-back buckets for him.
13:08Golden State with 21 points in six minutes against the number three defense.
13:13Here's Wimbenyama missing his first miss of the game, and Green tracks down the rebound.
13:23Draymond Green, five points, three boards, two assists.
13:26Moses Moody with the mid-range shot, and he's got seven.
13:30What an incredible start for this team.
13:34He pulled from three and from two, 60 and 50 percent.
13:39Kick out by Castle.
13:40Johnson's three no good.
13:42Oh, they're going to get capped, so I thought that was close to an illegal screen on Draymond.
13:53His first, second.
13:55Spurs foul.
13:57And Wimbenyama will get a breather.
14:00Seven minutes played.
14:05So they're going to call him from the hands-on first.
14:09And as soon as you kind of put two hands on the hips of that ball handler, it's almost automatic.
14:19I asked him, Dave, how sore he was after the ball he took in the last game.
14:24I love that kid.
14:26I mean, he's just tough.
14:26He's like, I'm good.
14:30Orford keeps it alive after the miss by Peyton.
14:32Moody wide open.
14:34Around and out.
14:35And rebounded by Johnson.
14:36And a takeaway for the Warriors.
14:39Pajemski to Moody.
14:40He'll try it again and miss again.
14:43And Barnes, the former Warrior, gets the defensive rebound.
14:47And then a foul is called.
14:50They're going to say out of bounds.
14:52You can see what Golden State does, though.
14:54You can't say on a rebound that that's the end of the job because they're going to reach up and slap.
15:00They're going to pressure the ball if the guy who rebounds it is not known for a tight handle.
15:05Like, you've got to board it with two hands, secure it, and if you're not a handler, give it up.
15:12Because Golden State is pesky.
15:14They're going to try to make things happen with their defense.
15:16Castle tried to lob it for Cornette, who got pushed.
15:24They get Moody, his first, and the first on the Warriors.
15:28Cornette has been an excellent player off the bench.
15:30He does a lot of the little things that often go unnoticed.
15:34In his ninth season out of Vanderbilt, sixth team.
15:42Talk about a guy who's earned his way.
15:44Two-way, exhibit 10.
15:47He has had every kind of contract you could imagine.
15:51Barnes on the step back.
15:53Off the mark on the three.
15:56And with Keldon Johnson in the midst of three Warriors,
15:58they were able to get the defensive rebound and Golden State fouled.
16:02We've got to vibrate.
16:04Santos commits it as first.
16:12Well, Wemanyama, three of four from the floor,
16:14but the rest of the Spurs are three of ten.
16:16And they're down nine.
16:19Fox gets a good look.
16:20He knocks it down.
16:29Entry pass to Harper.
16:30Great cut and fine by Payton.
16:33Harper just has such a good feel.
16:38Steve Kerr is the lob by Barnes to Cornette.
16:41Connects and Kerr calls a timeout.
16:43He told us he thinks what Al Horford is doing lately,
16:4610 points per game in his last 10 after a slow start,
16:49is sustainable.
16:50And boy, would that be big with the injuries
16:52that the Warriors are dealing with.
16:53Welcome back to Chase Center here in San Francisco.
17:00We're here with the 12-time All-Star,
17:03Steph Curry, as his Warriors are leading by six at the moment.
17:06Steph, obviously you won't be able to participate in the All-Star weekend.
17:09How are you feeling, though, with the injury?
17:12I'm feeling better.
17:13Every day is a journey to try to get back on the court,
17:15but hopefully with the break
17:18and I won't be out too much longer, though.
17:20Now, you've had incredible success
17:23against this Spurs team this year.
17:24You're averaging nearly 48 points per game.
17:27What is it like competing against these guys
17:28and Victor Wimbanyama particularly?
17:31I mean, they're a young, talented team.
17:32They got, you know, weapons all over the floor, like you said.
17:36Vic is playing amazing as he always is,
17:39and they have a great mix of complementary pieces
17:42that, you know, they're going to be tough the rest of the way.
17:45So, we always love to battle.
17:48And it usually brings the best out of us, too.
17:50Yeah, well, you've certainly had some success, as I mentioned,
17:52including that big shot in the Olympics that we all remember.
17:55No?
17:55I like that.
17:56That was a good one.
17:57Yeah, exactly.
17:57That's one to remember.
17:58And then, lastly, All-Star weekend coming up.
18:01You've been part of 12 of them,
18:02but you've been there before, even before you were a player.
18:04What's your greatest All-Star memory, Steph?
18:08You can't beat your first one
18:09when you get to put on that jersey,
18:11be in the locker room.
18:13And I understand who you're,
18:16the guys that you're amongst on that team.
18:19But my favorite memory is probably
18:20throwing an alley-oop to Dirk Nowitzki,
18:22because I don't know how many he had in his career,
18:24but I got to throwing one in New York,
18:26and that might have been the end of his career.
18:28Yeah, probably not many, is what I would say.
18:30Steph, congratulations again.
18:32Thank you so much for the time,
18:33and go cheer on your team, man.
18:34Absolutely, appreciate it.
18:35All right, Dave DB?
18:36I find the chop-busting there hilarious.
18:40That of all the All-Star memories,
18:42Steph Curry's alley-oop to Dirk is number one.
18:47Meanwhile, Cornette with the block.
18:49It's 29-24, Golden State.
18:51Good to hear from Steph's own mouth
18:53that his return is imminent.
18:55Again, after tonight,
18:57the Warriors won't play again
18:58until next Thursday here against the Celtics.
19:01In transition, Pijenski,
19:03the hang-and-finish by Payton.
19:06Well, how about the Warriors' starter?
19:08Like, they came out of the last break,
19:10eight assists on ten field goals,
19:11no turnovers.
19:12Like, this is a team
19:13that's been plagued by turnovers.
19:15This first quarter has gone as well
19:16as you could hope if you're Steve Kerr.
19:18And ten assists now
19:20on 13 baskets
19:22to go with those zero turnovers.
19:24Harper,
19:25misfire on the three
19:26after hitting earlier.
19:27Spencer going away from the screen.
19:44Payton, a late contest by Barnes,
19:46and Payton can't hit.
19:50Fox
19:50picked up by Santos.
19:54Good to hear it, Fox.
19:55Nice drive and kick.
19:56Barnes can't connect.
19:58So those guards are touching the paint.
20:00You have Fox,
20:01you have Harper,
20:02you have Castle.
20:03They're all dynamic enough.
20:04They've been in the paint
20:05to pitch to shooters.
20:07They're just not making the shots
20:08that they've gotten.
20:10Four for 14,
20:11for three for the Spurs.
20:13Payton wide open again.
20:15This one's good.
20:16That's the fifth three
20:17for Golden State.
20:18In the second,
20:19Brown D. Santos.
20:2334 points for the Warriors.
20:25Without Steph Curry
20:27in the first quarter.
20:2920 points by the starters,
20:3114 by the bench
20:32as Fox hits
20:33the mid-range jumper.
20:36Seven for Fox,
20:38seven for Wimbanyama,
20:39who's going to check back in
20:40at the next dead ball.
20:41Nice passing.
20:42Spencer and Payton
20:43and Spencer with the bang.
20:45And Fox is frustrated now.
20:46He got hit very hard
20:48on that screen.
20:49And he's coming up the floor,
20:50grabbing the right shoulder area.
20:52Firing three anyway.
20:55No good.
20:55Cornette,
20:56offensive rebound,
20:57back out Fox.
20:58Touch pass Harper.
21:00Fox sets his feet.
21:02And it's down.
21:03Great.
21:04Played that time by Harper.
21:06Could have taken it,
21:06but gave it up.
21:07Yep,
21:07and he's still talking
21:08about that last screen.
21:10He is upset.
21:13Fox with 10,
21:14four of six for the floor.
21:16Two of three from three.
21:17But Jemski with another basket.
21:19He's three for three.
21:20Yeah,
21:20aggressive off the bounce.
21:21He made the first three.
21:22Now he's made his two pull-up shots.
21:25Nine-point Warriors lead.
21:26A 10-second difference
21:27in the game and shot clocks
21:28here at the end
21:29of the first quarter
21:30in San Francisco.
21:33Fox on the drive
21:34into the lane.
21:35Bumped by Spencer,
21:36but it doesn't matter.
21:37Fox able to finish
21:37through the contact.
21:38Love his level
21:39of aggression tonight.
21:40I mean,
21:40we know
21:41he is capable
21:43of going for 20
21:44any given night.
21:45He strung together
21:46some games without it,
21:47but his sister hired.
21:48It might require
21:49a big night
21:50from Fox here.
21:52Three seconds
21:52to go in the quarter.
21:53Spencer on the drive
21:54and a foul called
21:56on San Antonio,
21:57but that is only
21:58the first
21:58in the last two minutes,
21:59so it'll be a side out
22:00with 1.2 seconds left
22:02in the quarter.
22:07And Miss Johnson
22:08took Victor Wimanyama
22:09back to the bench,
22:10so he will not
22:11check back in now.
22:13Barnes picking up
22:14the foul,
22:14his first.
22:20Pujemski will inbound.
22:27Cross court pass,
22:28Horford catch and shoot
22:29in the buzzer,
22:30and the first quarter
22:31comes to an end.
22:35Balance scoring again
22:37by Golden State.
22:39Seven points
22:40for Pujemski
22:41and Moody
22:41to lead the way,
22:42and five three-pointers
22:44for Golden State,
22:46including this one
22:46by Draymond Green.
22:54Welcome back
22:55to NBA Wednesday
22:56presented by State Farm.
22:57Here with Darren Fox
22:58of the Spurs.
22:5812 points for you
22:59in that first quarter.
23:00Obviously,
23:00you guys got a lot
23:01of weapons,
23:01but how do you decide
23:02for it to be an attack
23:03motor set guys up?
23:04I mean,
23:05for me,
23:05it's just play
23:05within the flow
23:06of the offense.
23:07Like I said,
23:07we have a lot of guys
23:08that can create
23:08for themselves
23:09and create for each other,
23:10so just try to stay
23:12in that flow.
23:13They had 38
23:14in the first quarter.
23:15Where do you guys
23:15need to potentially
23:16tighten up defensively?
23:17Yeah,
23:17I mean,
23:17offense isn't our problem.
23:18We scored 31 points.
23:19That's enough to,
23:20one,
23:20be in the game,
23:21and that's definitely
23:21enough to be winning
23:22this game.
23:22But we have to be able
23:24to cut out their easy baskets,
23:25make 40 points a quarter.
23:26You do that,
23:27that's a historic
23:27offense over there.
23:28Darren,
23:29Darren,
23:29good luck.
23:29Thank you.
23:30Thank you.
23:30Dave?
23:31They've got to start
23:32impacting the three-point
23:33shooting by the Golden
23:35State Warriors
23:35because they are in a rhythm
23:37from out there.
23:38But to George's first question,
23:40like eight straight games
23:42for Darren Fox
23:43where he doesn't get
23:44to 20 points,
23:46but he's had 12 straight
23:47games of five-plus assists.
23:49So what that's telling you
23:50is Darren can adapt
23:51to whatever the game
23:52is requiring
23:53to his answer
23:54to George.
23:56And look around this team.
23:58Devin Vassell,
23:59same thing.
24:00A few years ago,
24:01that's the leading
24:02score on the team.
24:02Well, he's getting less shots,
24:04probably fewer minutes,
24:05but fitting in
24:06and still affecting winning.
24:07I love the ethos
24:08of this group
24:09as Victor gets back.
24:10They're going to wave
24:11it off, though,
24:11and say not in the
24:13active shooting.
24:14So no basket
24:15for Wembenyama
24:16as Spencer picks up
24:17the personal.
24:18So two quick team fouls
24:19on Golden State.
24:22First personal,
24:23second team foul.
24:29Boy, I thought
24:30that would have
24:30considered a continuation,
24:32right?
24:33I agree.
24:34I am very surprised
24:35that doesn't count.
24:36By the way,
24:37you said it's been a while
24:38since you've seen
24:38the Warriors
24:39not turn the ball over.
24:40It's the first time
24:41since January of 2024.
24:4312 assists,
24:44no turnovers in a quarter
24:45as that spins out
24:46for Wembenyama,
24:47but tipped in
24:48accidentally by Melton.
24:49It's also the first time
24:50that they had those numbers
24:52in a first quarter
24:53since 2022.
24:58Melton,
24:59he'll try a three
25:00and get it!
25:01Seven three-pointers
25:02for Golden State.
25:04Three, three,
25:04one, two,
25:05three, one, three.
25:09Wembenyama pushed
25:10by Post.
25:11They credited
25:11the last basket
25:12to Castle.
25:14His second field goal,
25:16Wembenyama,
25:16seven points,
25:17three of five shooting,
25:18one of three for three.
25:19Third team foul
25:20on the Warriors.
25:21Melton picks up
25:22his first personal.
25:25Actually,
25:25they're going to change it
25:26now and say it's on post.
25:27It should be on post.
25:34Josh Tiven
25:34and Andy Nagy
25:35having a conversation.
25:44Golden State
25:45leading by 11.
25:46it's largest lead
25:47of the game.
25:47San Antonio
25:48has not led
25:49here tonight.
25:49Last game
25:50for these teams
25:51before the All-Star break.
25:52You never know
25:53what you're going to get
25:53in the NBA
25:55in the game
25:56before the All-Star break
25:57in terms of
25:57the headspace
25:59of the guys.
26:00San Antonio
26:01on the second game
26:02of a back-to-back.
26:04Wembenyama doubled,
26:04goes up,
26:05and is fouled
26:06by Green.
26:07and is fouled by Green.
26:08Now Wembenyama will go to the line.
26:13I mean, is that four fouls
26:15and we've not even
26:1690 seconds elapsed?
26:17Yep.
26:18So it's the push
26:19of the left hand.
26:19Do they give it to post
26:20or Draymond?
26:21He gave it to Draymond,
26:25his second.
26:27He is having a conversation
26:29with Josh Tiven.
26:30Steve Kerr is saying
26:30Wembenyama was passing the ball
26:32and he was not in the active
26:34shooting,
26:34but he is at the line.
26:36Take a look at our upcoming
26:37NBA national TV schedule
26:38tomorrow night
26:39on Prime Video.
26:40It's a doubleheader.
26:41Bucs-Thunder,
26:42followed by the Mavs
26:42and Lakers.
26:43Only three total games
26:45on the docket tomorrow.
26:46For more on these games,
26:47go to NBA.com
26:48or visit the NBA app.
26:53Wembenyama got to the line
26:54eight times
26:55in the first quarter
26:55last night.
26:56Miss Johnson told us
26:57that is a sign of him
26:59being really aggressive
27:00and he was getting
27:00after it last night.
27:02Even Laker coach
27:03J.J. Reddick said
27:04that's the most aggressive
27:05he's seen him come out
27:06in a game.
27:07So five fouls drawn
27:09already tonight by Victor.
27:10I think that's something
27:11Mitch told us
27:12part of the game
27:12was really interesting.
27:14Look at Victor's frame.
27:15physicality's going to have
27:18to take a different form
27:19for this San Antonio team.
27:22He is not shagged.
27:24He is not a big,
27:25burly, beefy center.
27:27So their aggression,
27:29their physicality
27:30may manifest differently.
27:32Doesn't mean that
27:32they're not a physical
27:33basketball team.
27:34It's just going to take
27:35a little bit different
27:36way to go about it.
27:39Boy, Wembenyama communicates
27:40the entire defensive
27:41possession.
27:42Oh, yes.
27:42He is always talking.
27:44Green, wide open.
27:45Missed the three.
27:46Post battling Wembenyama
27:48and Post gets to the loose ball.
27:50Spencer fires.
27:51No good.
27:53And Carter Bryant,
27:54the high flyer
27:54who will be a slam dunk
27:56participant.
27:57The slam dunk contest
27:58this weekend gets the board.
27:59The rookie out of Arizona.
28:02By the way,
28:03Arizona still,
28:04until this week,
28:05undefeated
28:06and lost to Kansas
28:07on Monday night.
28:07Their first loss of the year.
28:09Bryant,
28:09who spent one year
28:10with the Wildcats
28:11before being the 14th
28:12overall pick,
28:13gets the basket.
28:16Post gets past
28:17Wembenyama.
28:18Maybe got surprised there
28:19by Post
28:20off the bounce.
28:29Castle explodes,
28:30hangs and kicks,
28:31swing,
28:31Wembenyama.
28:34Poked out,
28:35Barnes gets to the loose ball.
28:36Champagny to the corner.
28:41Bryant nails the three.
28:43He hit three three-pointers
28:44last night.
28:49Post trying to answer.
28:51Does for three.
28:53Victor coming up the floor
28:55shaking his head
28:56in disgust
28:56that they got another three.
28:59Eight of 18.
29:00Great passing by the Spurs.
29:02And another good look
29:03from the corner.
29:04Not that time for Bryant.
29:06Excellent defense.
29:12Bryant poking it away
29:13from Melton.
29:15And Melton called
29:16for the foul.
29:17That's his second.
29:17And the Warriors
29:18are over the limit
29:19with 8.50 on the clock.
29:21A little shuffle pass.
29:23Now,
29:23Quentin Post
29:24is a guy you have
29:25to check from through.
29:26But Wembeny tonight
29:27has spent an awful lot
29:29of time guarding guys
29:30who he's not had to go
29:32out to check.
29:33Right?
29:34So he's given Draymond
29:35a cushion.
29:35There are certain guards
29:37he's saying,
29:38I'm not going to check you
29:38from three.
29:39But Post,
29:40he's got to be more attached
29:41or at least closer.
29:42Listen,
29:42he can challenge
29:43from a long way away.
29:44That's too much space
29:45for Post.
29:46Five quick points
29:47for Post
29:48against Wembenyama's defense.
29:51He'll take a seat.
29:52Luke Cornett
29:52will check back in.
29:53Free throws
29:54for the rest of the quarter
29:55for San Antonio.
29:58Pevledy situation
29:59at the 8.50 mark.
30:01And you mentioned
30:02Bryant,
30:0220 years old,
30:03had a career-high
30:0416 points last night
30:06against the Lakers
30:07and a 32-point win
30:09in L.A.
30:09And kind of like
30:11this game,
30:13many of the Laker
30:13key pieces
30:14weren't playing,
30:15but so far
30:16a different result
30:16here tonight
30:17with the Warriors
30:19leading by nine.
30:20The NBA on ESPN,
30:26presented all season long
30:28by State Farm,
30:29is brought to you
30:29by Burger King,
30:31You Rule,
30:32and CeraVe.
30:34Up your game
30:35with the number one
30:36dermatologist
30:37recommended skin care brand.
30:47All-star break
30:48an NBA Friday
30:49doubleheader
30:50on ESPN
30:51featuring the Mavs
30:52and Wolves
30:52at 7.30,
30:53then the Battle
30:54of Los Angeles.
30:56Clippers-Lakers
30:56from Crypto.com.
30:58Ernie, Kenny,
30:59Charles, and Shaq
31:00will tip off
31:00the coverage
31:01at 6.30.
31:03Dave Pasch,
31:03Doris Burke,
31:04George Sodano
31:05back here in San Francisco.
31:06Time for tonight's
31:07DraftKings Sportsbook,
31:08Player Pulse.
31:10Victor Weminyama
31:10yet to get a block,
31:11but you know it's coming.
31:13Oh, shoot.
31:13He could get three blocks
31:14in one possession.
31:15I'm absolutely
31:16taking the over on that.
31:17That's a no-brainer.
31:18DraftKings,
31:20the number one sportsbook
31:21for live betting.
31:22Use promo code SPLASH
31:23when you sign up.
31:24Weminyama leads
31:25the NBA in blocks
31:26for the third straight year.
31:31One more free throw
31:33for Bryant.
31:33Steve Kirk called
31:34the timeout
31:35in between foul shots.
31:37And he gets the bounce
31:38on the second one
31:39after missing the first.
31:41So six points
31:42in three minutes
31:43for him off the bench.
31:44San Antonio down eight.
31:52Here's Pajemski.
31:54Pull-up jumper.
31:55Good!
31:55And a foul!
31:56Pajemski,
31:57four for four
31:58from the floor,
31:59nine points.
32:00So he's going to get
32:05off the ball
32:05and then get it back,
32:08get right up
32:09into his jump shot.
32:10Because Cornette's
32:11waiting for him,
32:12he's got to get
32:13to the mid-range castle,
32:14the late contestant,
32:16too much contact.
32:18Doris,
32:18last week,
32:19the Warriors
32:19have one of their best
32:20wins of the year
32:21in Phoenix.
32:22It was right after
32:22the All-Star break.
32:23There are two and two
32:24some stuff Curry got hurt.
32:25You wonder,
32:26because a lot of the names
32:28that have played well
32:29since the deadline
32:30were guys
32:30possibly mentioned
32:32in deals,
32:33possibly going
32:34to Milwaukee
32:34for Giannis.
32:35That didn't happen.
32:36I wonder if they're
32:37just playing more free.
32:38Now they know
32:38they're going to be here.
32:40Santos with the lob,
32:41broken up,
32:42but a foul by Champagny.
32:44He's saying he got all ball
32:45and took a shot
32:47to the face.
32:49But Santos
32:50was the one
32:52that got fouled.
32:53He's begging.
32:59Julian Champagny
33:00is begging.
33:02And watch.
33:02Yeah.
33:03I mean,
33:03that could definitely
33:04be overturned.
33:05He went sprinting
33:06over to the bench
33:07to tell Mitch Johnson.
33:15Well, Champagny
33:16got his wish.
33:18Replay is overturned.
33:20The ruling
33:21of a defensive foul.
33:22You'll see here
33:23no contact made
33:24by Champagny,
33:24but the off arm
33:25of Gary Payton
33:26clearly catches
33:28Champagny in the head,
33:29so it's been changed
33:30to an offensive foul.
33:31And the second turnover
33:32by Golden State
33:33in the last minute
33:34and a half
33:34after no turnovers
33:35prior.
33:3711-point lead for Golden State,
33:45matching its largest
33:46of the first half.
33:48Four minutes gone by here
33:49and a high-scoring
33:50first half.
33:53Castle misses.
33:54Stavon Castle just
33:57one of four.
33:58He's getting to his
33:59spots, though.
34:01I feel like every shot
34:02he's taken is within,
34:03you know,
34:04his makeable range.
34:06The disability
34:07that touched the paint
34:08consistently
34:09is extraordinary
34:10as Guy Santos
34:12gets a bucket to go.
34:14Santos now with seven points.
34:15Another warrior assist.
34:16They have 18.
34:18Champagny missed the three.
34:19Kept alive by Bryant.
34:20Castle hangs and fouled.
34:26I mean, it's,
34:27sometimes it's just
34:28explosion pass
34:30to quick first step
34:31for him.
34:32In that instance,
34:32it's a change of pace.
34:35I mean,
34:35but this guy's averaging
34:36just a shade
34:37under six free throws
34:39a game in his second year.
34:41He's finishing better
34:42in the paint
34:42than he did a year ago.
34:45You know,
34:45he's still averaging
34:46three and a half turnovers,
34:48so you'd like those
34:49to come down,
34:50but he's still
34:50so young
34:51and dynamic.
34:53Just 21 years of age,
34:55fourth overall pick
34:56a year ago
34:57out of Connecticut
34:57where he helped
35:00UConn win
35:01the national championship.
35:02He will be
35:03in the Rising Stars
35:04game this week
35:05for the second straight year
35:06at the All-Star festivities.
35:08Had a 40-point
35:09triple-double
35:10on Saturday
35:11against Dallas
35:12on 75%
35:14shooting from the floor.
35:16You know what I love
35:17that Mitch said
35:17about he and Dylan Harper?
35:19He's like,
35:19because we were asking
35:20them about decision-making
35:21in big, high-leverage games.
35:23He said,
35:23listen,
35:24I want them driving
35:25the car fast.
35:26I want them using
35:27instinct and skill
35:29and everything
35:29that they have
35:30at their disposal.
35:31Sometimes they're
35:32going to crash the car,
35:33and I'm okay with that.
35:35Missed free throw,
35:36but kept alive.
35:37And Champagne's three,
35:39nowhere near.
35:40He's 0 for 3
35:41from the floor,
35:42but another second chance,
35:43or third chance opportunity,
35:45rather.
35:47Castle penetrates,
35:48taken away,
35:49Santos with the steal.
35:51Santos into the chest
35:53of Bryan,
35:53who met him in the air
35:54and sent it back.
35:58Castle on the other end
35:59gets deep in the paint,
36:00no one to kick it out to,
36:01and a traveling violation.
36:04Do you see what I mean?
36:05That's two plays in a row
36:06where he's trying
36:07to make a play,
36:08but sometimes you're
36:09going to crash the car.
36:10He just crashed it
36:11twice in a row.
36:12But he's going to give you
36:14so much good stuff,
36:15so look at how patient
36:16and calm this coach is.
36:18Like, yes, okay,
36:20couple of mistakes.
36:22Sit him down,
36:23give him a second.
36:25Vassell will come back in,
36:27but again,
36:28you want him free,
36:29confident,
36:30he's got three turnovers
36:34now in the game.
36:37He mentioned two here
36:37in the last couple
36:38possessions.
36:40Payton,
36:41sweeping hook,
36:42is no good.
36:44Carter Bryant,
36:45growing in confidence
36:46by the minute.
36:49Well, that defensive play
36:50he hit a couple
36:51possessions ago,
36:51so good.
36:53Great patience
36:53by Carter Bryant.
36:55Fox fires underneath
36:56and Horford
36:57knocked it away.
36:58Shot clock at 7
36:59for San Antonio.
37:01Wembe Nyama's going to
37:02check back in
37:02for the Spurs.
37:06Nine points for Wembe
37:07in ten minutes
37:08after a
37:0940-point game
37:11in 26 minutes
37:13last night.
37:1325 in the first quarter,
37:1537 in the first half.
37:17It's his sixth career
37:1840-point game.
37:19Tim Duncan had five
37:21his entire career
37:22with the Spurs.
37:26He's Oprah's last three
37:28after a three-for-three start.
37:30He works on Draymond Green,
37:31turns and scores
37:32against him.
37:33That's where the wrist height.
37:34Okay, folks,
37:35he is at 10 feet
37:36almost.
37:37The wrist height
37:37is at 10 feet.
37:38Who's going to check that?
37:40Nobody.
37:41The answer's nobody.
37:41Averaging 24 points
37:44per game.
37:4511 rebounds,
37:46which is fifth in the league.
37:47Nearly three blocks,
37:48which is first.
37:50Santos tried to
37:51shovel it underneath
37:51and turned it over.
37:53Spurs looking to run.
37:55Vassell
37:55lobs for Wembe Nyama.
37:57Catch and finish.
37:58And Steve Kerr
37:59sensing the momentum shift.
38:02Thanks to Victor,
38:03Wembe Nyama
38:03calls a timeout.
38:05Stop it.
38:05He's checked back in the game.
38:06He gets back-to-back buckets.
38:08That's nine and a half feet.
38:10There is not a challenge
38:11within a foot.
38:12We see a Vick doing some work.
38:34That's right.
38:35They're coming down
38:36in their beautiful
38:37striped bags.
38:43Grab a Sephora parachute
38:44and get ready
38:45for Valentine's Day.
38:47That's right.
38:47You can start your shopping
38:48now at Sephora.com.
38:58That's right.
38:59Look around.
39:00Look.
39:01They're coming down.
39:02They're coming down.
39:04Take a look at who's ruling the court.
39:21Brought to you by Burger King.
39:22Victor, Wembe Nyama,
39:2311 points in just 10 minutes
39:25and 15 seconds.
39:26Draymond being physical.
39:27You see a second defender come over.
39:30Al has got good size.
39:32But at his peak,
39:33his foot,
39:33his hand is about
39:34nine and a half feet.
39:35Look at how far
39:36Draymond's contest is.
39:38And folks,
39:38it's not just about size.
39:40Look at the rotation
39:40on that ball.
39:42The skill set.
39:43The array of things
39:43he can do
39:44with the basketball,
39:46without the basketball.
39:47And, like,
39:49he's figuring it out.
39:50But the guys around him
39:52are also like,
39:53this is a five-man team.
39:55Everybody's got to understand,
39:57how are we playing?
39:58Where does he want the basketball?
39:59At what point?
40:01It's the work ethic.
40:03It's the competitive fire.
40:04As he challenges Draymond Green,
40:07but commits the foul,
40:08his first,
40:09second team foul.
40:11He just turned 22 years of age
40:15a month ago.
40:15It's year three.
40:17He's had last year
40:19cut short
40:19by that deep vein thrombosis.
40:21The scare
40:22on his right shoulder.
40:24He's missed some time
40:25this year, but...
40:26What Victor Wembenyama
40:31can become
40:32over the next five years,
40:33the sky is the limit.
40:35If you happen to watch
40:35the first eight minutes
40:36of basketball
40:37the other night,
40:38we talked about
40:39the eight free throws.
40:41If his three-point shot
40:43is going,
40:43I don't know
40:44what you do with him.
40:44His handle is tight
40:45enough in tight spaces.
40:47He made a move
40:48on the baseline.
40:49Had to finish a dunk
40:50with the left hand.
40:51It's absolutely breathtaking.
40:53And we have seen
40:53great players,
40:54but what he can do
40:56is absolutely breathtaking
40:57or fear-inspiring
40:58if you've got to go
40:59against him.
41:00Now to be eligible
41:01for all the postseason
41:02awards,
41:03he's going to have to play
41:04in most of the remaining
41:05games.
41:05This is game 40
41:06as the three goes
41:08for Missell.
41:10He'll have to play
41:11and 65
41:11after tonight.
41:15There will be
41:15about 25 games left
41:18for San Antonio,
41:21so pretty much
41:21every one
41:22when Madyamu
41:23will have to compete
41:24in to be eligible.
41:25Got a foul here
41:26on the shot
41:26by Moody
41:27as Bissell
41:28picks up
41:29the personal,
41:30his first,
41:31team's third.
41:33San Antonio's
41:3437 and 16.
41:36This is the highest
41:37they've been
41:37above 500
41:38in nine years,
41:39April 2017.
41:41They have not been
41:41to the playoffs
41:42since 2019.
41:44And right now
41:45they're the two seed
41:46and the third best record
41:47in the entire league.
41:51NBA All-Star Weekend
41:52begins Friday
41:53with a celebrity game
41:54at the Key of Form
41:55in Inglewood.
41:57Our coverage begins
41:58at 7 Eastern
41:59on ESPN
41:59and the app.
42:01And a lot of former
42:03professional athletes
42:04playing in that game,
42:06including Jeremy
42:07Linn,
42:08Amon Ross St. Brown
42:09of the Detroit Lions.
42:12Sham Sharani
42:13will look to school
42:14the rest of
42:16the competitors
42:17as well.
42:19Giannis
42:20and Mookie Betts
42:21are the coaches.
42:2658-49 Warriors,
42:28five minutes
42:28to go in the half.
42:31Harper on the baseline.
42:34Bryant in traffic,
42:35stepped through,
42:37two defenders
42:37did not travel,
42:38I guess.
42:39I thought he might have
42:40traveled.
42:45Horford fires.
42:48Rebound,
42:48Santos.
42:51And Spencer
42:52stepped on the sideline.
42:54back to what you're saying
42:56about San Antonio
42:57though.
42:57I mean,
42:58because they've had
42:59such a great run
43:00all the way this late
43:01to All-Star,
43:02they have been one
43:03of the surprise stories
43:04in the league.
43:05They are ahead of schedule
43:06in terms of where
43:07we anticipated them
43:08in terms of win-loss record.
43:10Would you say that's fair?
43:11Yes.
43:11Yes.
43:12And they're three games
43:13behind Oklahoma City.
43:16They still could get
43:17the one seed
43:18and they have the tiebreaker.
43:19They're 4-1
43:20against Oklahoma City.
43:21Spencer,
43:26and that was kicked.
43:304-11 on the clock
43:31here in the half.
43:34Golden State
43:34with 20 points
43:35this quarter
43:36after 38
43:37in the first,
43:38but they've extended
43:38their lead
43:39from seven to nine.
43:41Turnovers have
43:42been an issue
43:45all year,
43:45but not tonight.
43:46None in the first quarter,
43:47although they've had
43:47four here in the second.
43:49I feel like
43:50it's a matter of time.
43:52I even think
43:52Golden State fans
43:53might concede
43:54with their group
43:55it's a matter of time
43:56before they have
43:57a rough quarter.
43:59No Steph Curry
44:00missing his fifth straight game.
44:02Obviously,
44:03Jimmy Butler's
44:04out for the season.
44:05That ACL surgery
44:06this week
44:07after tearing it
44:09against Miami
44:10back in January
44:11as the Spurs
44:11turn it over.
44:13To no one's surprise
44:14who has watched
44:15Steph Curry play,
44:16he's got runner's knee.
44:17the amount
44:19of running
44:20he does
44:21over the course
44:22of the game
44:22is incredible.
44:24Saw the shot
44:24of Porzingis.
44:25He hasn't played
44:26since January 7th.
44:27Now he was with
44:28the Hawks
44:28and came over
44:29to the Warriors
44:29at the deadline,
44:30but battled
44:31an illness
44:32the last couple years
44:33and then his Achilles
44:34has been an issue
44:35and he's missing
44:35his 18th straight
44:36game tonight.
44:37Listen,
44:38if he's healthy,
44:40he's one heck of a player.
44:42Think about game
44:43one of the NBA Finals
44:44for Boston
44:45when they win
44:45the championship
44:46and the year
44:47he had with Boston
44:48that first year.
44:51They like how
44:52he plays with Al Horford.
44:54That's one of the reasons
44:54they thought he'd be
44:55a good fit
44:56with Steph Curry
44:57on the floor, of course.
44:58And again,
44:59that could happen
44:59next week.
45:00Both return.
45:02Spencer puts up
45:03an air ball.
45:08The offense has come
45:09to a screeching halt
45:10here in the last minute
45:11and a half
45:11and Wemminyama gliding
45:13but unable to finish.
45:17And now in transition.
45:18Spencer, nice catch.
45:20Green gets it back.
45:21He'll fire.
45:22Missed the three
45:23off the side of the rim.
45:27And they're going to
45:27call a loose ball
45:29foul here
45:30on Moody.
45:31And so Bryant
45:32will shoot free throws
45:33on the other end
45:34of the floor.
45:35Second foul on Moody.
45:36Well, Golden State's
45:40going to keep moving.
45:41They're going to try
45:43to get every
45:43offensive rebound.
45:46Wow.
45:47They call that a foul.
45:50Steve Kerr
45:51will not challenge it.
45:57So Bryant
45:58one for two
45:59at the line
45:59tonight.
46:00Six points
46:01off the bench.
46:01And the first point
46:06for either team
46:07in the last
46:07two minutes
46:08and four seconds.
46:11Payton replaces
46:12Horford with
46:123.08 on the clock.
46:16Harrison Barnes
46:17will check in
46:17for Bryant
46:18when he makes
46:19the free throw
46:19if he makes it.
46:28I guess Barnes
46:29will not replace him
46:30so he's coming in
46:31for somebody else
46:31at the next dead ball
46:32but just hanging out
46:33at the score
46:33stable.
46:35Seven point lead
46:36for Golden State.
46:42Payton driving.
46:43When Benyama greets
46:44him at the foul line.
46:45Shot clock down
46:46to seven.
46:48Moody fouled
46:49by Bryant.
46:5014th foul.
46:51They feel like
46:52they've fouled a lot.
46:53And here's the thing.
46:54They fouled two jump
46:55shooters, put them
46:55on the free throw line.
46:56That one as the clock
46:57is dwindling.
46:58That was a possession
46:59that was complete
47:00confusion.
47:01For Golden State.
47:02It was going
47:02absolutely nowhere.
47:04Moody was staring
47:05at Payton as he was
47:06dribbling, waiting
47:07for Pat Spencer to move
47:09and yet here they go
47:10they get another shot.
47:12Payton in the corner.
47:13Launches the three
47:14over the outstretched arm
47:15of Wembenyama.
47:16And a loose ball foul
47:17on San Antonio.
47:18They're over the limit
47:19so Pajemski will be
47:21at the line.
47:22It's more movement, right?
47:23We always talk about
47:24movement.
47:25And Harrison Barnes
47:26is a little bit slow.
47:27Pajemski is a guy
47:28who is a relentless mover.
47:31Very willing to hit
47:32the offensive glass.
47:37Second foul on Fox.
47:39It's Fox coming down the lane.
47:43You have to, listen,
47:44it's hard.
47:45I'm saying that like it's easy.
47:47Go out to 15 feet,
47:48keep a body on the entire way
47:50when somebody's pressuring you.
47:56Good night for Pajemski.
48:01Third year pro out of Santa Clara.
48:04He's got 42 points
48:05his last three games played.
48:09They've missed their last
48:10seven shots from the floor
48:11but they still have a nine point lead.
48:13Harper with a strong tank
48:14but he couldn't finish.
48:16Golden State looking to run
48:17but the Spurs get back.
48:19Great cut by Spencer.
48:20He got behind Harrison Barnes.
48:2619 Golden State assists
48:28here in the first half.
48:30Fox driving, hangs,
48:31and scores.
48:36Fox now with a team high 14.
48:42Pajemski lines up a three.
48:45His first miss from the floor.
48:47Two minutes left
48:48on the first half.
48:50Inside two minutes to go.
48:52Great pass to Harper.
48:54And a foul.
48:55Count the basket.
48:56I love what De'Aaron Fox
48:58did these last two possessions.
49:00He's bringing the ball up the floor
49:02with pace.
49:03Like he was frustrated
49:04that Victor wasn't setting
49:06the drag screen
49:07a little bit further out
49:08and earlier.
49:09He's trying to make
49:10a good push here.
49:11So the last two possessions
49:13he's been in attack mode
49:14from the jump
49:15and just his ability
49:16to play with pace.
49:18Get by, touch the paint,
49:20create something
49:20for another teammate.
49:23He's been big tonight
49:24because he did a lot of scoring
49:26in the first quarter
49:27to keep him attached.
49:28Now he's trying to get them
49:29to finish this.
49:31This is why you add
49:32a veteran like him.
49:34They got him
49:34at the trade deadline
49:35from Sacramento
49:36a year ago.
49:37He's got 14 points
49:39and five assists.
49:40Harper makes the free throw
49:41and it's a six-point game.
49:43Harper's got six points
49:44off the bench.
49:46Rookie from Rutgers,
49:47number two pick.
49:48Santos to Peyton again
49:50over Webinyama.
49:51And he drains it.
49:52Two threes for Peyton,
49:59a steal by Pajemski.
50:01Three on two
50:01for Golden State.
50:03Peyton downhill.
50:05Can't get the bank.
50:07Bat it around.
50:08Webinyama
50:08able to poke it to Vassell.
50:12Vassell with a step through
50:13on the slot by Peyton.
50:15And now Barnes gathers
50:17and a Golden State foul.
50:20You see how the culture
50:21is established here.
50:23Like they are severely
50:24undermanned.
50:24Listen to this crowd.
50:26Appreciate what they're
50:28doing here, folks.
50:30I mean, they look like
50:31it's one-on-one.
50:32No.
50:32You've got a second defender
50:34who's going to sprint,
50:35dead sprint.
50:36This is a crowd
50:37that can appreciate.
50:38Okay, no, no Jimmy.
50:40No Steph.
50:42KP's not with us yet.
50:44But they are playing so hard.
50:46Loose balls,
50:48offensive rebounds.
50:49And 65 points
50:51against the team
50:53that has the third-best
50:54defensive rating
50:55and is in full strength
50:56tonight.
50:58They call the foul
50:59on Santos.
51:02And Moody
51:02leads the Warriors
51:04with Pajewski.
51:0512 points apiece
51:06will get a rest.
51:07Two and two
51:07without Steph.
51:09And folks,
51:10you're battling
51:10if you're Golden State,
51:12right?
51:14Sixth part
51:15is going to be very hard.
51:16but you want to be
51:17seven or eight.
51:18You don't want to be
51:19nine or ten.
51:20Like, the eye is on the prize
51:22where it needs to be
51:22if you're Golden State.
51:24If you're nine or ten
51:25and you lose,
51:26you're done in the play
51:26in tournament.
51:27You're seven or eight.
51:29You get two cracks
51:30at it to get
51:30into the playoffs.
51:32Inside a minute to go.
51:33Shot clock at four.
51:34Pajewski leading in.
51:35Well defended Harper.
51:36Pajewski can't knock down
51:38the ball away.
51:39Santos,
51:39offensive rebound.
51:40Webinyama
51:41rejects it.
51:46Box.
51:48Ono the score
51:49in transition.
51:50Harper rips it away
51:51from two Warriors
51:52and banks it in.
51:53Well,
51:53some big-time toughness
