00:00This week, we take a look at the three-row 2023 Cadillac XT6 Sport Luxury Crossover SUV.
00:18The XT6 has the signature Cadillac look with the vertical LED lights in the front,
00:2420-inch wheels, and a large grille that gives the XT6 an aggressive look.
00:29A rear spore and square dual exhaust pipes finish the rear view.
00:34The XT6 was created a few years ago to fill a void between the five-passenger XT5 and the huge Escalade,
00:42which is expensive and too large for many.
00:46Pop the hood and you'll find the very proven 3.6-liter V6 putting out 310 horses
00:51that's mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission that has shift paddles.
00:56The XT6 comes standard with front-wheel drive, but my test vehicle has the optional all-wheel drive system.
01:04The XT6 comes in three trim levels, the top-of-the-line Sport, which is what you see here,
01:10the Luxury, and the Premium Luxury.
01:14Inside the XT6, you'll find rich leather seating that is unbelievably soft,
01:18and if you have back problems, the power lumbar supports have a lot of range.
01:24When you set behind the power and heated tilt steering wheel, a bright, colorful dash greets you.
01:30In the center of the large tachometer and speedometer is the driver information system
01:35that gives the driver a ton of information and is controlled from the steering wheel.
01:39Going across the dash to both door panels, you'll find lots of carbon fiber,
01:45which comes standard with the Sport package.
01:48The center console has large hidden cup holders, and there is a place to charge your cell phone.
01:53You'll also find the shifter, and you can change the drive modes
01:57from Tour, All-Wheel Drive, Sport, and Off-Road.
02:01There are also shortcuts to audio, navigation, and Bluetooth.
02:05Above the shifter are the climate controls, heated and cooled front seat buttons.
02:11Just above that is the 8-inch color touchscreen that operates the Cadillac Q system,
02:17which stands for Cadillac User Experience.
02:20It has been one of my favorite interface systems for years.
02:24You can use the system as a touchscreen, or there's a round knob on the console if you prefer.
02:29Q offers an enhanced 3D GPS navigation, Wi-Fi, and phone integration capability
02:37with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
02:40From the driver's seat, you have a terrific head-up display,
02:44and if you hold a button on the inside rearview mirror,
02:47it becomes a rearview camera to give you a much wider view of what's behind you.
02:52The second row seats of the XT6 are spacious, and this one has the captain's chairs,
02:57but you can also get a bench seat.
02:59You can slide the seats forward and backwards, or easily fold them down for third row access.
03:05Second row occupants can control their own climate, and they get two USB-C ports.
03:12Perhaps the big surprise for me was the third row seat, leg, and headroom.
03:17Two adults would actually be quite comfortable back there.
03:20The third row seat can be raised and lowered with switches in the rear.
03:24The XT6 Sport comes with everything you'd expect from a loaded Cadillac.
03:30Most notable is the power ultra-view moonroof, Bose stereo system, heated rear seats,
03:36a power hands-free liftgate, keyless entry, and remote start.
03:40On the safety front, you get blind spot monitoring, forward collision alert, lane-keeping assist,
03:46forward and reverse automatic braking, and adaptive cruise control.
03:50There are $13,600 in various options, including GM's supercruise system, adaptive cruise control,
03:58a cabin ionizer, heated and cooled front seats, the head-up display, emergency braking, and rear heated seats.
04:06The XT6 handles rides and corners extremely well, and it's incredibly quiet inside.
04:12Fuel economy is 18 in town and 25 on the highway.
04:15It also has start-stop technology, but there is a button to turn it off.
04:21MSRP is $75,190, which puts the XT6 in line with other three-row luxury SUVs.
