00:00Who had the worst day for the New England offense?
00:02Was it Josh McDaniels, Drake May, or Will Campbell?
00:07Josh McDaniels.
00:09You know, I mean, I love Josh, and he's been unbelievable as a coordinator,
00:15but that was just a bad day, and I say it all the time in regards to Will Campbell.
00:19Put a guy in a position to lose.
00:22Don't be surprised when he loses because you're the dumbass that put him there.
00:26And, you know, I go back to the AFC Championship game in the snow and everything else.
00:29Even when you weren't running it for a lot of yards, you still gave it to your running back 26 times.
00:36And I think they had 13 carries combined with the two running backs.
00:40Like, you're in a game where it's 6-0 deep into the second quarter,
00:45and you've just abandoned the running game in totality.
00:49And at what point did you think Will Campbell was going to be able to block people?
00:53Like, was it going to be in the third quarter when all of a sudden he would realize,
00:56hey, yeah, oh, I know what I'm doing wrong.
00:58You know, I'm setting too deep, or I'm turning perpendicular to the line of scrimmage.
01:02At what point did you think all of a sudden it was going to figure it out?
01:06You're just going to throw, hey, if we just throw 15 more passes, then he'll figure it out.
01:10That wasn't going to be the case.
01:12And I say it all the time.
01:14As a, you know, just as a coordinator, as a play caller, you're responsible for protection.
01:22You know, we always just point to the offensive line and go, well, they suck.
01:25Well, no, your play calling sucked because you put guys in a position to fail.
01:30And it never felt like you ever adjusted that.
01:34And that would be, you know, my biggest issue.
01:37Can you create an opportunity for guys to take the passive out of pass protection?
01:41How do you do that?
01:42Well, you run screens.
01:44You run some bubble screens.
01:45You run the three-step drop game.
01:47You run the five-step drop game that doesn't have a hitch so I can upkick you and have that potential to do that.
01:53And then you tie it with the run action, play action.
01:57And I understand it's easy to sit here and second guess and say that's what you got to do.
02:01But the bottom line is, I mean, the Seattle Seahawks just throttled you on the line of scrimmage.
02:08And you had no answer.
02:09And so, and I've been there, man.
02:11I've been on both where we were dominating as an offensive line.
02:14And I've been there where I've gotten my ass kicked.
02:16And I guarantee you one thing, there's no offensive line that can hold up in any situation where you drop back 45 times and you say, hey, screw it.
02:25We're going to throw the ball down the football field.
