00:00I think that understanding work culture, figuring out who are your allies, being strategic, is extremely important.
00:08You have to have folks that are in your corner. You have to be strategic about that.
00:13But I think also what is extremely important in work culture is understanding your mental health and protecting your mental health.
00:20I think so many of us kind of, we move until we're burnt out and we lash out or we just quit.
00:26And I think that understanding that therapy, I was anti-therapy. I'm singing on stage, Bea.
00:34So proud of you.
00:36I was. Because I think as black women, we sometimes don't understand that we need therapy.
00:42We need that outlet. And I think that that's something that I just started this year.
00:47Because being a black woman in America, being a black woman in corporate America, being an entrepreneur,
00:52you have to understand all those things bleed. They bleed into your personal life, etc.
00:58And if you don't understand or learn or figure out the tools to deal with life,
01:03you're going to burn out and it's going to eat you up alive.
