00:00I am Chelsea Sanders, the co-founder and vice president of Unbothered, and next to me I have
00:05the incomparable Kathleen Newman-Burmang, the deputy director global of Refinery29 Unbothered.
00:11And we are the hosts of Go Off CIS. So if this is your first Go Off CIS podcast recording with us,
00:18you are in luck, y'all. All right. So first, just relax your shoulders. Okay. If the tongue is at
00:24the roof of your mouth, release it, let it go. Give me a little neck roll, bars. And just relax,
00:32okay, because you are in a safe space right now. This is the place where we just go off. So for the
00:38next few, we're in the wellness space. So let's talk about being well. Let's talk about when we're
00:44not and what we're going to do about it. Okay. Can I hear you? Yes. Yes. All right. So in this space
00:51of safety, we also often bring some guests, some people that we love. And so we're going to do
00:56that right now so we can have a real, real well conversation and that so that you can have it
01:01with us too. All right. You are all a part of this. So let's have it. Okay. So before we bring her out,
01:06let's hype her up a bit as we do here at Go Off CIS. All right. So she is an actress. She's an
01:13entrepreneur. She's a producer. She's an astrologer. You may know her from BET Sisters. She is also
01:21co-host the podcast, Constellations and Conversations. She is just a friend of Unbothered
01:30and of the Go Off CIS podcast. We love her so much. And recently she served, I did not know this.
01:36And when I found it, I was like, okay, Novi. She served as a producer for Othello on Broadway
01:41with Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal. Get you someone who can do both. Okay.
01:46Okay. Okay. Please welcome Novi Brown.
02:03Yeah. Hello. Hello, sis. Hello. A vision in white. Our Sunday best. Okay. Yes, we try. All right.
02:11Okay. So let's just get into it. Let's do it. This is a podcast we call Go Off CIS. So feel free to go
02:17off. You've been our guest before. You had no problems. So let's get into it. All right. So
02:23how are you feeling today, sis? As simple and as complicated as that answer can be.
02:29Ooh, black and blessed. Period. Absolutely. Yes. And what is blessing you on this Sunday?
02:37I have breath in my body. I can walk. I'm here living my dreams. I'm hanging out with these
02:42beautiful people right now and connecting with y'all. So I'm just grateful to be here. I have
02:47an opportunity to bring my passion to a main stage. This is a big, big one for me. My first
02:53ever one. So I'm really just happy to be here.
02:57And we're happy to have you. And you just, I just love this energy you started with because
03:02I think remembering that, you know, we got breath in our body. We got blessings is so
03:07important, especially this year when I feel like collectively we've encountered so much
03:13grief, so much just we're scrolling through our timelines and seeing horror after horror after
03:18horror. So talk about how we collectively stay in a mindset that is well.
03:25I feel like community is number one for me. I don't know how y'all feel. I'm sure these
03:31times have shown you who your friends are, who they're not, who your family is, who isn't
03:37or what you call those things, right? And what they mean to you and what value you might bring
03:41to your community as well as what they're bringing to you. I feel that a lot of people have grown
03:46closer. Yes. Maybe some of us are a little bit more isolated because we're more protective
03:50right now just because of what we've come out of and come through. But community is the
03:55most important thing because going through the pandemic was a traumatic thing for all
03:59of us, you know, and it's something that we'll remember for a lifetime and a generation.
04:04So really leaning into each other and living your highest purpose. I think a lot of people
04:10are more motivated than ever to do that before, you know, and thank God for our ancestors and
04:16our elders who sacrificed so much for us to be able to quit our jobs, for us to be able to
04:20move back home, for us to be able to, you know, start our dream business or whatever
04:24the case may be, or for us to just say, you know what, I don't want to be part of the
04:28workforce anymore. I want to retire or no, I really do want a family. Whatever that real
04:33thing is for you, I think a lot of people are tapping in, but we can't forget what we went
04:38through. You know, it just happened a handful of years ago and it's very much impacting our
04:43mental health, our economic health, and it's impacting our communities. So my wellness
04:49right now is leaning into my community. That's what's helping me get through.
04:53And you brought up a word, you said protect. And so when you're thinking about all the
04:58things that you're dealing with, juggling, right, whether that's career, personal, community-wise,
05:03what is it that you have, you always are just going to say, I'm going to protect this, right?
05:08Is it, hey, no matter what, I'm always going to do that, you know, hour to myself before I start
05:13the day, or I'm always going to do that warm lemon water, or I'm turning my phone on, do not disturb,
05:18whatever that may be, but what is that thing that you have to protect when it comes to your
05:23wellness? I love that you said that. I turned off all my notifications during pandemic and I never
05:27turned them back on. All of them? All of them. They're off. What? I love this. I love this for
05:31you. I love this for us. And don't get me wrong, I've taken some L's. I've missed meetings, okay?
05:37I've been late to stuff. You're like, do this at your own risk. I've forgotten things, so I look like a fool,
05:42but I realized during that time, the thing for me was my mental health. That was so, you know,
05:49that was the time when it was very fragile, I think, for a lot of us. And that ding, ding, ding,
05:54ding, ding, ding, I can't do it. And I don't want to be tethered to that anymore, you know what I'm
05:59saying? So it's been off since then. And I've had more unread messages than ever in my life,
06:04but I just then tried to make the in-person, you know, moment be more, more tethered and that we
06:12remember what we actually did when we were connecting for real. So I, and then I also let
06:17go of that personality of always being available. Right? I think that's, but okay, here's the thing
06:26because you're, you're also very successful. Thank you. So I think that's the, I'm just going to speak
06:32for myself. That's where I find, and maybe I'm falling into a like self-fulfilling prophecy,
06:38like a trap where I'm like, I cannot be successful. I cannot show up in the ways I want to show up
06:43professionally and do everything you just said. Yeah. You won't and you'll fail. Oh, and that's
06:51okay. Oh, I've made peace with that. It is what it is. You know, that perfectionism trope just leads
06:56to burnout, which leads to stress, which leads to ailments, which leads to death. That's just what it
07:02is. We've seen everybody around us do it. Our aunties. We've seen our sisters, our friends
07:07go through it. You know, I've had friends go through health scares in the last few years.
07:11This is not something to play around with. We have to make sure that we're really protecting
07:16ourselves. You know what I'm saying? And protecting our mental health and, and then helping each other
07:21in those moments instead of thinking we're weak. Nobody's supposed to be working for 20 or 40 years
07:26in a row. That's not normal. And the fact that we've been conditioned to think that is already
07:31impacting the way that we feel of value or we show up. So especially as black people and especially
07:38as black women, you know, we do way too much. And then we expect it from ourselves. And then,
07:44then we can't really build that community for real because every year is not going to be a winning
07:48year. Whoa. Not every year. That's a word. That's a word that we, I needed to hear. And that's,
07:55that's hard though. Right. Especially when we are, you know, functioning at the rate that we are at,
08:02you know, always going to and from, and also even being so privileged as to have this conversation,
08:07right. To be able to stop long enough to be able to have that community. Right. So again,
08:13when you're thinking about the things that you protect and the things that you prioritize,
08:16when you're going about your day, who is, what is that voice in your head? Who do you hear?
08:21Is that your family? Is that yourself? Who is helping you prioritize that wellness? And what
08:27are some of those things that, that, that well voice tells you that keeps you moving?
08:31Definitely my mom and my man, they'd be like, go to sleep. You're doing too much. And I said,
08:38well, I'm not going to have, you know, and it's, it's a battle. Every day is a battle. Every hour is a
08:42battle. Some days, some days you're like, I'm going to do everything. And you tackle it perfectly.
08:46And you're in alignment. And some days you F up every single thing. Right. But that's why I love
08:52like studying astrology and seasons to know which season you're in and what you're supposed to
08:57actually do with that time. Every day is not supposed to be a lift heavy day. Right. Who goes to
09:03the gym? Right. So if you can't do the same exercise every day, right, you're going to plateau.
09:10Yeah. You have to mix it up a little Pilates, a little walking, a little weightlifting, a little
09:15running. Right. Pole dancing, a little, you know, a little twerking. Okay. That's the spiritual
09:23workout. So you got to mix it up. And so that's the same with your life. You have to mix it up.
09:30You cannot stress yourself out. And so those are the two people that definitely hold me
09:34accountable. My best friend, she's sitting right there. She's holding me accountable.
09:39Oh, she's beautiful.
09:41A vision.
09:41My best friend.
09:42And so those are the people around me. Those people know me for real. And so they'll know
09:48when they hear something in my voice to tell me to slow down.
09:51Yeah. Do you listen? Sometimes yes and sometimes no. You know, I'm like everybody else. But then
09:59for instance, last year, my knee popped and it popped like four times last year. It was
10:05crazy. And my legs swolled up. And when I was younger, when I was 12, I got hit by a motorcycle
10:10and I had to learn how to walk again. And so I've had a lot of surgeries and hospital things
10:15that I've had to lay down to. You know what I'm saying? And your body, if your, your mind
10:21is going to start telling you one and then your body follows next. So your mind already
10:27tells you, your emotions are out of whack. And especially as women, we're, we're in our
10:31luteal phase 15 days out of the month. So we're going up, we're going down. Sometimes we don't
10:36have the energy. Sometimes we don't. So some of the things that I'll do to help myself is
10:40things before one, you know, my man came up with that. He's like, let's just do as
10:45many things as we can before one. And then we're good. So 1pm. Yeah. Or whatever your
10:52lifestyle is, right? I'm a creative entrepreneur. So my lifestyle is lots of traveling. It's
10:58a lot of zoom calls, things of that nature. So I have the mornings to myself. I'm not in
11:04the nine to five arena. Honestly, I had never been, I've always been in hospitality. I've
11:08always been in nighttime jobs. So I've always had that morning time free. And I've realized
11:13for me, that's a good lifestyle because I enjoy the mornings to myself. It's quiet.
11:18I get to just work out, walk my dog, do whatever, call my friends, do whatever I want. But he
11:24implemented the things before one and we were so productive. Wow. Because there was no pressure
11:30to fill up the day until six o'clock. Yeah. Hmm. You know? So, but that's for the entrepreneur
11:36lifestyle. So if you're working a nine to five and you really want to get that morning in,
11:41give yourself three days a week. You don't have to do five days. It's unnecessary. Give
11:46yourself three solid days where you have a solid 45 minute workout and you give your,
11:52you wake up at five o'clock in the morning because that's just the way it's got to be.
11:55And you journal, you pray, you do whatever you got to do. Right. You meditate, you get
11:59it a solid 45 minutes. Do not be distracted by the dang old phone, on social media, posting
12:05your booty cheeks. All right. Work on your cheeks and then post them later. Right. And then
12:11do all that have, and then really make yourself breakfast, eat whole foods. You can't live
12:17off a junk food every day. Your body's going to tell you, especially the older you get.
12:21Right. So yeah, simplify your life and say Monday, Wednesday, Friday, I'm taxing it in the gym.
12:29So by the time Saturday hit, you know, I'm just doing my little steps and calling my girlfriend
12:35or my auntie on the phone and talking to her and doing my two, three miles in the morning
12:40because I can take it easy. Cause I cashed in three days, you know? So there has to be
12:44some type of balance in your life. Absolutely. I mean, some of what you're talking about,
12:50I think because everything has to be branded now would be branded under this like soft girl,
12:57soft life era. And I just want to unpack it because I've been, I've been having some issues
13:04with this soft girl. I mean, in general, I'm a Capricorn. I like can't relate.
13:10I'm not a very soft person in general.
13:14Software.
13:15Right. And so, but I also think that now because everything wellness has been so commodified
13:21and put under the umbrella of capitalism and it's so individualistic instead of community focus.
13:30So talk to me about how do you feel about like the soft girl era, soft life?
13:34I feel that everybody needs different things. It's just like being in love. You know what I'm saying?
13:40You and I don't need the same things or wanting to become a parent. Some people were raising eight
13:46brothers and sisters, so they don't want to be a parent. You know what I'm saying? So you can't
13:51expect them to have those same ideas. I think a soft girl era is exactly what it is, an era.
13:56Just like when you in your hard working girl era and you trying to get to the bag. Right? Who's in there getting to the bag era? I'm getting, I am too. Who's in their soft girl era? Period.
14:09You can't be in both. Period. Who's transitioning? Who's going between both?
14:14And I think that's just more realistic. And as you said, you know, with social media and these other
14:21things, we forget these are just ideas and opinions and they're gems that we're trying to share with
14:27one another. That's what the tool is for. And if somebody is in their soft girl era, I perceive
14:33they probably earned it. You know what I'm saying? And they, they did work really hard for that.
14:38However, I'm not going to go against my girls getting to the bag too. Right? Because I think
14:44they both compliment each other. It's a yin and a yang. And I think that's fair because also like we all
14:49deserve rest. We do. And we, we don't have to pay anything to get it. Yeah. Right? Okay. Like it is, we've, we've talked
14:59about this on the podcast, right? Yeah. Strong, strong is not the rent you pay to be a black woman in this world. You need that on a
15:04shirt. Right? Like it just. We do. We, and we know that, oh, we have shirt. Unbothered. In the black ground. Yes. Coming to a
15:14store near you. Courtesy of my mother, Mella Johnson. See? Thank you mama. Chelsea's mom actually made shirts.
15:19She made them for our team. I need one. Just for fun. That was our, that's part of being well is that community. Yeah. But I
15:28think that, that, so I, I think we all deserve rest, but we also don't know how to take it sometimes, right? We don't even know what
15:34it looks like, right? Like you're even saying, okay, start off, put your phone down for just, just a few minutes in the
15:40morning or wherever you can take those moments of respite. But I think also for a lot of us, and I can only speak for myself, but when I do
15:49rest wrong, then I get frustrated, right? With myself. And I, I, I'm like, okay, so I get into fits of stopping and
15:56starting whatever journey I'm trying to get on. And then when I don't do it a hundred percent correct, I'm
16:01like, well, nevermind. I quit entirely. I'm no longer having a warm lemon water in the morning, right?
16:07Cause I missed one Monday. And so for you, how do you sort of bout with that? Also that voice that
16:14keeps you going, but also that negative self-talk, right? That, Hey, well, nevermind. It's fine.
16:20How do you get back onto that journey? Because I feel like that's also a conversation when we think
16:24wellness, we think, Oh, there's a start and a stop when it's not necessarily like that.
16:30I love that. That's a, it's a wellness, it's a journey, you know, you need different things at
16:34different times. Like for me, I went to massage therapy school a long time ago. So I know the
16:37benefits of massage and acupuncture, Reiki, things of that nature, Shiatsu. So I make sure I implement
16:44that in my life. My mother introduced me to massage when I was 12. So I was able to put that
16:49in as a parent or as a guide or a mentor, you introduce your children and your, you know, the
16:54smaller members in your community to wellness and healing. My fiance, he massages his daughter's
17:00feet since she was a very, very young child. So she's used to getting that care. You know,
17:06it's not foreign to her. I feel like maybe the disconnect is because rest is foreign to
17:11a lot of us, especially this generation here, right? We are, we are remnants of our parents
17:17who worked really, really hard and gave everything to their jobs, everything and more. And we've
17:24seen what the corporations then do. You know, they don't even give them a funeral or they don't
17:29even send them their family home with anything. They just say, okay, the next person. So I
17:34feel that we are in the phase of still trying to allow ourselves and be in, enjoy rest outside
17:42of a vacation because vacations could be work too. You know what I'm saying? Like you got
17:46to, that's a lot to get together. However, if we continue teaching our young ones, what that
17:52looks like, they're going to be able to help us identify faster. So when you hear mommy, you're
17:56tired, don't disregard your child. You know, they know you better than you know you sometimes
18:01and you really have to listen to what they're saying. So it's, it's really a matter of leaning
18:07and learning into your communities and stop trying to look perfect. We got to let that
18:11go. We as black women, we are so special. Everybody's trying to be us. We are the blueprint.
18:17We are the prototype. We are the idea. We are the mitochondrial Eve. We can birth any race
18:24in the world. Our wombs are so powerful. That's why they're continuing trying to attack
18:29us mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and financially. So in this lifetime, I always
18:34try to say our biggest revolution is to rest, is to mind our business. That's the one, what
18:40we do now. And so if we teach our girls and our boys that, hey, take care of your sister,
18:47you know, take care of your aunt, take care of your uncle, take care of your grandfather.
18:52If we teach that in our community center, that, you know, that first community we grew
18:57up into, it'll be natural for them. So for us, it's just a matter of checking in with
19:02each other. Like sometimes with some of our peers and stuff, I don't really have a working
19:08relationship with them. I'm just like, how are you? Are you okay? And there's some people
19:13that you just have only that relationship with and you have to keep those people there because
19:19they are going to always remind you, oh yeah, let me go to sleep. Let me take a nap. Oh
19:23no, I'm not, I'm not tethered to this. I'm not tethered to that. And as long as you have
19:28a good exit plan and you have a good community, you can pretty much do a lot of the things you
19:32want to do in life. You know, you only need like five people to really rock with you.
19:37And if you rock with them, then you guys got each other's backs. So at the end of the day,
19:42I feel like it's a generational thing. Yeah. We're in the interim where that bridge and our
19:47young ones are on the other side of that bridge. Ooh, which is beautiful. That's a beautiful thought.
19:53Yeah. I mean, Hey, we can clap. That answer was, was, here we go. Um, I want to get more into
19:59astrology. Um, because we, we know that you're an astrology girly. Um, I think there are a lot of
20:08things where we're having this conversation about wellness that we say, Oh, well, I'm that way
20:14because I'm a Capricorn. I did it in this conversation. I was like, Oh, I'm a, I'm a
20:18Capricorn. I don't know how to be soft, but y'all like she is a Capricorn. I mean, I am, I am,
20:24but I do think that we kind of fall into, um, this like pattern and we use our signs, especially now
20:32this new generation where we talk about astrology more openly, which I think is a great thing.
20:36But I do think that we maybe fall into these patterns and say, Oh, well, that's because I'm
20:41a Libra. That's because I'm a Capricorn. Um, you're Scorpio, right? Period. Yeah. Um, and so
20:48what do you think about that? Like, what do you think as like being someone who's so in it?
20:52I love it. It's a tool. It's a self-help tool. Like anything else, like massage, you know,
20:58like therapy, like your fitness coach, whatever. It's a tool. I use it as a way to help me understand
21:05what my gifts are, right? God gave everyone gifts. Every single one of us. A Capricorn is a builder.
21:12If you're looking for someone to build, you go to someone like her. They're all about that. And
21:18that's what, but, but guess what? All of us, who's an Aries? Who's an Aries? Oh, we got a couple.
21:25So Aries are more of the motivators and the inspirational leaders. They're the spark.
21:30They're not necessarily the people who build all the time. Who is the Gemini? Who is a Virgo?
21:39Oh, wow. Lots of Virgos. So Virgos are here. It's interesting because you guys are an earth
21:45sign, but you're mutable, meaning that you guys are supposed to move around the earth realm,
21:50right? You're supposed to use the tools of nature. This is why a lot of you become holistic.
21:54You guys lean into herbs. You guys lean into natural products, things of that nature. So
21:59as a Virgo, they're here to deconstruct before we get to the building process. It's a, it's
22:07a process. The Taurus gathers the resources. The Virgo discerns and, and organizes them and
22:17the Capricorn builds it. God has a plan for everything. And I always say, God is a poet
22:24first because he used the moon and the stars to talk about life. Right? We got away from
22:30it so far that we're using it. And don't get me wrong. I will drag a sign. Okay. And I will
22:37drag a Scorpio too. Don't, don't girl. We know how to drag ourselves. That's the fun part.
22:43That's the social part. But there is really a science behind it. It's in the tombs of our
22:49ancestors. It's in the tombs of our African ancestors. This is not a joke. It's a 10,000
22:56plus year practice. There is something there. I don't know what it is, but it's something
23:02there. And as a Scorpio, I do best when I dive into my occult knowledge and I'm talking
23:08about things behind the scenes. That's why all of y'all are like, Ooh girl, what? Yeah.
23:12Tell me. I've told you this, but your, your birthday is the day before my sister's. So
23:17my sister, it does the same and I, I'll get on the phone with her and I'll be like, Alex,
23:21I just asked you like, if you wanted to come over in two minutes and she's like, but anyways,
23:25part four on cloud seating. I'm like, okay, so are you going to be here in five minutes
23:32or what? I'm going to be there girl, but let me first tell you. Wait, what's your sign?
23:36I'm a Libra. I'm a Libra. So Libra sun. Libras. Libras. Yes. There's people in the
23:42back. Lots of Libras in the house. It's perfectly aligned too, because we love an aesthetic.
23:46Period. So y'all are right in the exact Libra section. Period. The Libra lounge over here.
23:51The Libra lounge. Yes. And the interesting thing is what you have to know is that there's
23:55feminine and masculine signs, right? And it has nothing to do with gender, but with expression.
24:00Feminine signs such as water and earth are introspective, little bit more reflective and
24:07private. They are the dreamers of the Zodiac. Okay. They're the ones that kind of nurture and
24:13create fire signs and air signs are the extroverted signs. So there could be parts of you were like,
24:21but I feel introverted. I feel extra. That's why they both exist.
24:24So as an air sign, as a Libra, Libra women, you carry a masculine presenting energy. You will come
24:32off a little bit more expressive and forthright, but with class, you know, that's Libra. She real cute
24:39with it. Right? We're not going to do too much. This is why a lot of you become-
24:44What did you say? I'm like, great. This was a good interaction. Do you agree?
24:47That was amazing. Thank you so much. They do the polite read, right? They'll tell you about themselves.
24:54And so, but it's still a Venus driven sign and Venus in air loves to socialize. So these are your
25:01connectors. If you want to know where to go, hit up a Libra. They will tell you how many weddings you
25:08went to this year, sis. Okay. So that's why, and that's the joy that I have with astrology. You see
25:13how you guys are laughing and relating to the energy. So instead of running away from it or somebody,
25:19you know, demonizing it, we should look at it and research it ourselves and get with somebody
25:25who's actually knowledgeable instead of somebody who's trying to scare you. And so I like to use
25:31this information to help you know your cycles, to help you with potentially predictive methods,
25:37to talk about relationships, your finances, potentially your job or career or the type of
25:42person you're supposed to be with. You know what I'm saying? Yes. So if you,
25:48does anybody know their Venus sign? Venus, Venus, no one, you know your Venus sign? What is it?
25:56Venus and Leo. So my young lady has Venus and Leo. Don't play about her. Okay. Don't play about
26:03her. Venus and Leo loves a childlike playfulness in their love. They're romantics. They're generous.
26:10They want to be with generous lovers, people who do put them up. Now it depends on if her Venus is above
26:16or below the horizon. That will show you if she's more private or if she needs more of that PDA.
26:23And that's, what's going to show you. Cause you can be with somebody and be like, man, we're,
26:27we're so aligned, but our love languages don't align. What's your love language?
26:31I'm a Venus in Scorpio. I'm a water sign. I need emotional availability and devotion.
26:39Wow. Okay. Yes. Where do they sell that at?
26:43With other water signs or other earth signs. Like for instance, my man has a Venus in Cancer.
26:48Okay. And I have a Venus in Scorpio. Okay.
26:51So the love languages are complimentary. And you can even look at what's, you know,
26:57if y'all are really matched up. It's I got to do me and my husband later. We're going to talk
27:03about this offline. Um, we are having to wrap up soon though, but before we do that, we want to do
27:08a quick live reading with Novi right now. So, uh, Chelsea, you want to set this up for us?
27:14Yeah. I mean, okay. We just want to know these, this is for people who know their sun sign and they're
27:20rising and their moon. All right. You know your time of birth and you're so, okay. Raise your hand.
27:25That means you know your time and place of birth as well. All right. It seems like we've got you
27:30over here, over here, who knows their time location and day of birth. Okay. So those people have their
27:37hand up. Y'all select. Okay. Over here. I feel like you were right here first. Yes. Right here.
27:45Right here with the white and the overall, the overall here.
27:49Oh, I thought that was an overall. I'm sorry. All right. Y'all ready? Um, if you, do you want
27:57to say it out loud or do you want to just tell me? It don't matter. Okay, great. I got my app
28:02right here. I'm using time passages. All right. What's your name? Christy. Christy. Okay.
28:08I'm putting you in girl. All right. Where were you born? New Orleans.
28:13That's right. I'm going to show you. Great. Oh, we'll do one more after this and then we
28:23got to wrap. Got you. Okay. So you were born here in New Orleans. Mm-hmm. When?
28:28What time? It's 6.05 p.m. I'm sorry. What was it? August 30th.
28:356.05 p.m. August 30th, 1976. August 30th. 1976. August 30th. 1976. August 30th.
28:47Birthday soon. Happy early birthday. It's a birthday reading. And you're a Virgo.
28:53Yeah, Virgo. Now, do you want to know about the past, present, or the future?
28:57The future. The future. I don't have a new pair, girl. Future. The future. Great. So I have
29:03you in New Orleans, August 30th, 1976 at 6.05 p.m. Perfect. So I'm using Placidus for people
29:13who know what I'm talking about. It's a style. So she is in Aquarius Rising, a sun in Virgo,
29:23and a moon in Scorpio. That's why we connected. Wow. So that means she, Aquarius Rising is
29:31a connector, a community leader, right? All about friends and friendship, always there
29:37for people. But the moon in Scorpio means that she helps a lot of women who go through crisis
29:43in private. So she's a healer and a transformer. The sun in Virgo represents her ego and how she
29:50likes to show herself off. She likes to come off cool, calm, and collected. You know what
29:54I'm saying? Virgos are surgeons. They like to be real chill with it. Yes. And her son is
30:00in the seventh house of partnerships and relationships. So she always hanging with her best friend.
30:04There's always one person or two people in her life that she's very, very close to.
30:09So that's some of the layout. And then she has the moon in the ninth house, which means
30:13that she attracts people with various spiritual beliefs, religious beliefs, and backgrounds and
30:19cultures. And she loves a good vacation, honey. Something private. Okay. Exclusive. All right.
30:25And she'll spend a little coin on a good vacation. Always. Do it, lady. So then she also has a
30:33Venus in Virgo in the eighth house. So again, she has a lot of eighth house energy. This means
30:37she's very intuitive. She can read between many, many lines. Okay. And she has probably very
30:45healing hands. Okay. So now in the future, that is the kind of the layout. So as no, but as an
30:52Aquarius rising, you always got to take the unconventional approach. These are people who
30:57usually like to dye their hair, tattoos, piercings. They like to, they don't like to look like what
31:04you think they supposed to be like. Aquarius is going to be the question mark.
31:07Very much so. Yeah. They're the rebel. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So when it comes to, I'm going to tell you
31:14about your secondary progressions. That means it's where you are today. Okay. So there's this thing,
31:21even though you were born at whatever sun sign you're born into, you are going to, if you live
31:26long, you get up to three more sun signs. So although you started off as a Capricorn, you're going to become
31:31an Aquarius. I'm a cusper. I'm right. I'm January 19th. So that means that you, even though you're
31:37born that way, that first year or so, something shook up in your family and then Aquarius set in.
31:43So there was people around, communities around, things of that nature. Then you become a Pisces
31:48after 30 years, because there's 30 degrees in one sign. So you started off as a Libra, but now you
31:53probably are in your Scorpio face. Interesting. Okay.
31:56You heard her laugh. And then after that, she'll become a Sagittarius so that you can actually see
32:04your life pattern. So even though you started as a Virgo at seven degrees, I can read your chart
32:12and tell you, Oh, okay. At the age of, at the age of 17, something was going on at that time in your
32:22life, right? Because the sun went into the eighth house, but now your son is in Libra. Okay. It's in
32:31the eighth house though. So you've had probably a love relationship that has changed the core of who
32:37you are. It's changed your psychology on how you relate to other people. And with the eighth house,
32:44there's more to that, but I would be more private when I discuss these things with her.
32:48So I know that right now she is about those very close and deepening relationships.
32:55And in five years from now, you're going to become a Scorpio and she is going to be in her
33:01empowerment and rebirthing phase for 30 years. So you'll probably get more into astrology,
33:06even deeper than you are now, even though you really got into it, you're probably going to
33:10speak about it and become like a teacher and a, you know what I'm saying? You'll go,
33:14you will actually let your knowledge be seen, but on a global platform.
33:20Additionally, your love language is still in Virgo, but it's deepened a little bit more.
33:25It's slowly approaching your Mars, which you might've attracted relationships that were a
33:32little bit confusing, but now you're looking for something more direct. And so you might even become
33:39a little bit more assertive when it comes to your love life. So those are some of the ways that you can read.
33:44Oh wow. That was a lot. That was beautiful. Do we have, we have to wrap or we can do one more?
33:51Okay. Well, can we do it quickly? Of course. Okay. We can do one more very quickly. Um,
33:56let's do sis in the orange. Yeah. Yeah. Come on orange.
34:05We're going to do tight. We're going to do tight. I'm ready for my Libra queen. Okay. What's your name?
34:09My name is Tiffany, but it is spelled different. Do that matter? What did she say?
34:13Where were you born? I was born in Norfolk, Virginia.
34:18Norfolk, Virginia.
34:20Norfolk, Virginia. Oh, Virginia. Hold on. Got it. Hold on.
34:28I was, okay. I'm ready for the date. The date, October 17th, 1986. That's right. Period.
34:39I'm the 15th. I'm the 15th. I love it. Yeah.
34:41That means the three of us have a lot in common. Yes. Okay. What time?
34:4611 59 PM. Wow. Okay. Perfect.
34:50Cause you guys got to realize God has a time and a place for everything.
34:54Yes. Cause I was actually a month early.
34:57Oh, wow. Okay. What do you want me to tell you about the past, present,
35:01or the future? The future. Got you. So
35:04your progressed chart, even though you started as a Libra, first of all,
35:12there was a lot of things going on when it came to career within your family and their relationships,
35:19right? That's what you were born into. You became a progressed Sagittarius two years ago.
35:28So something happened two years ago specifically when your life started shifting and changing.
35:34Now you're thinking more about going overseas or being more global in a way, but in a private way.
35:41Also, Sagittarius in the 12th house is putting you on a spiritual journey.
35:47So there's something that you're unlocking in your dreams and your dreams are becoming even more prophetic
35:52and more fiery and spicy and more adventurous. Okay. So that's Sagittarius. You're probably attracted to people.
36:00You are really probably even pulling in mentors and gurus and teachers and having these secret conversations
36:06somehow hidden in the back that's leading you to some kind of spiritual pathway. It's very powerful right now for you.
36:13I'm very excited. It's going to make you a little bit uncomfortable, of course,
36:17because it's asking you to change and shift. Maybe some habits that no longer serve, right?
36:23The greater purpose and journey. There could also be a sense of loss
36:27because you're seeking more freedom and independence from something.
36:32So you're born a Sagittarius rising.
36:36So you becoming a progressed Sagittarius son is right in alignment
36:41because your whole life is about the spiritual pathway and it's about your experiences and how they shape you.
36:47As an individual, right?
36:49And with Sagittarius, when you have that, you become the wise one in your family.
36:55You become the coach, right? You hear what I'm saying?
37:00But let me hold on. Let me say one more thing and then we're out of here.
37:05Your progressed moon is in Virgo right now.
37:08So you're probably studying something in private or taking some type of private lessons and classes, right?
37:14From some, maybe a woman and maybe it's online or a community of people,
37:21but you're looking to emotionally expand your knowledge.
37:26So you might even go on a fasting journey or something like that.
37:31You're thinking about eliminating and purging and detoxing something.
37:36That's what I got for you.
37:39Wow.
37:39The recognition and the way that these people's faces are lighting up when you're reading is just really beautiful.
37:47I love doing it.
37:48It's really beautiful to see.
37:49Thank you so much, Obie.
37:50Thank you, ladies.
37:52And you know, my sister went on a 10-day water fast.
37:56Do not recommend.
37:58Do not recommend.
37:59And she was like, do you want to do it with me?
38:01And I was like, absolutely not.
38:03So if you do go on that fast, girl, I wish you luck.
38:08It could be other things you're saying, right?
38:11It could be anything else.
38:12And I think what we learned also from this conversation is that wellness is not one size fits all,
38:17but it is also for everyone.
38:19It is.
38:20So, yes.
38:20Thank you so much, Novi, for joining us.
38:22Thank all of you for being here.
