00:32I got to say, I feel like Danny and I,
00:34a lot of the internet, we figured it out.
00:36We kind of had a feeling it was you.
00:37And the moment you were announced,
00:39I was just like, oh my, we were overjoyed,
00:42because knowing that you did this
00:44during such an intense year,
00:46like, what inspired you to do this?
00:48Well, first and foremost, my kids,
00:50it's their favorite show, and they're like,
00:52mom, you know, they've always,
00:54every season that we watch, they're like,
00:56is that you, is that you, is that you?
00:59And it's never me.
00:59So I knew I wanted to do it because of that.
01:03But also, I wanted to be able to raise awareness
01:07that people need to go get their skin checked,
01:10that people need to go have their appointments.
01:13And I think, you know, what an amazing experience
01:16and amazing way to do it than through Masked Singer.
01:19We love that. And also, I do, I mean,
01:21you are always such an advocate for people prioritizing
01:24their health and taking care of themselves
01:26and to kind of be in the driver's seat
01:29of everybody's future.
01:31How doing the Masked Singer,
01:32because it seems like it is like,
01:34you put on the costumes, you're doing all the dancing,
01:35everything that, it seems like a lot.
01:37How did you prioritize taking care of yourself
01:40during this filming time?
01:41You know, everybody there was so great and so comforting
01:45that they really listened and they were,
01:50I mean, I think everybody was very mindful.
01:52Like most people's heads are really heavy.
01:55You know, they're Masked Singer heads
01:57and mine was really light.
02:00Yeah. So like they made an effort to make sure
02:02that it was comfortable for me and I, you know,
02:05that my vision was clear enough because I, you know,
02:08I couldn't walk that steady and those types of things.
02:10So I felt very protected.
02:13Well, also we have to shout you out.
02:14You kind of have some pipes on you, Teddy Mellon.
02:16Yeah. No.
02:17You take after dad, come on.
02:19Like you actually can kind of sing.
02:21I was shocked at that. Yeah.
02:22You were so, did you enjoy singing?
02:24I mean, I listening back, I'm like, oh my gosh,
02:28how embarrassing, but no, I love it.
02:32I love both the songs that I got to sing.
02:34And I think that it's so much fun.
02:37And you're, when you're doing it with the mask on,
02:40it's like, it's not even you.
02:41Right. Isn't that so nice.
02:43What did, what did your dad think of your rendition
02:45of Jack and Diane?
02:47I love that you paid homage to him.
02:48Well, he was here watching it with me last night

03:15through so much and you vice versa.

03:23And I think seeing you on The Mess Singer made everybody
03:25just so excited to be like, oh, and even your Beverly Hills
03:30loves and friends Kyle Richards commenting that she was so
03:32amazed that you were able to pull this off and everything
03:36like that, too.
03:36How does it make you feel that you did it?
03:38I feel so grateful that I did because, you know, leading up
03:41to it about two weeks prior, I was like, I don't think I can do
03:44this.
03:45I don't like I'm not strong enough.
03:47I can't do this.
03:48And then I just kept, you know, like I would go on walks every
03:53day and I was just having conversations with myself like,
03:57Teddy, you're going to regret it if you don't do it.
04:00You know that you can do it.
04:02It's not going to take, you know, like it's going to give you
04:06more confidence to do it than to not do it.
04:09And I didn't want to ever wonder, like, I should have done right.
04:14And how was your health today?
04:15Because while you were competing on the show, I know your dad did
04:18that podcast interview and thankfully you were able to kind
04:20of clarify what he said.
04:22But you're you're in a you're in a good place right now.
04:24You feel like I think physically I'm in a good place.
04:29I think what he was saying when it says suffering is what we don't
04:32often talk about when it comes to cancer is how you feel after all of
04:38the surgeries and all of the testing and all of, you know, like how
04:42your mental state is doing and that has been suffering.
04:47I've been in therapy.
04:48I've been working really hard trying to figure out, you know, find that
04:52peace, find that happiness, find that joy, find myself again.
04:56And I have to imagine, too, while you're going through all those state
04:59like you haven't really had time to think of yourself as Teddy versus
05:02like Teddy, the patient, Teddy, that X, Y, Z, everything like that.
05:05So being able to refine yourself, I'm sure, through all of this has been
05:09an uphill battle.
05:10Yeah.
05:10I mean, I didn't even I'm going into surgery.
05:14I didn't even know what was happening.
05:16Like I went in thinking I had a headache.
05:19I was working the Super Bowl with Tamara.
05:21And then the next day I went in to the hospital thinking I have migraines.
05:28And that's when they found the tumors in my brain.
05:31So and my lungs, so it's it's not something that I thought about for months
05:36leading up to it.
05:37It's just, oh, OK, you're in surgery the next day.
05:41Yeah.
05:41And speaking of Tamara, who, you know, we love when we talked to her
05:45during this past season of Orange County, she was like, Teddy would always give me
05:48the best advice.
05:48She was like, you know, apparently you told her like, hey, I'm dealing with a lot.
05:52You can handle filming Orange County Housewives.
05:55Did she give you any?
05:56I mean, you kind of spilled.
06:00You kind of spilled there and you got her back on the show.
06:03I'm like, you better quit quitting.
06:05Enough.
06:06Well, now she says she's activated.
06:08Apparently she and Shannon got into it.
06:10Do you have any thoughts on the status of Tamara and Shannon at the moment?
06:14I do know that I read something about
06:18girls like them not being on girls trip because of a big fight.
06:23But I that's just something I read.
06:25So who knows?
06:26But those two seem to activate each other.
06:31They they really do know how to push each other's buttons.
06:34And I do love I think Tamara was on Jeff Lewis this week.
06:37She's like, I'm over therapy.
06:38I love myself.
06:38And I'm like, Tamara, I love you.
06:40So I want that.
06:42Are you are you in support of her choosing herself over therapy?
06:45I mean, I think the hard thing about when you're doing therapy
06:48on something like Housewives is people kind of use it against you.
06:51Like now, then you're supposed to be perfect
06:55when really you're just trying to get better.
06:57That is true.
06:58And so I think she was like, I'm not going to do that.
07:02Everybody was on my ass anyway.
07:04No, that's a really good point.
07:05Now, speaking of Housewives and while we have you,
07:07obviously Beverly Hills is on right now.
07:10And there's a lot of conversations surrounding your good friend Kyle and Mauricio.
07:14Will they get back together?
07:15Will they not?
07:16They were canoodling in Aspen over the holidays.
07:18Like, what do you think about them perhaps maybe
07:22rekindling the flame at some point?
07:25I mean, I think you never say never about anything.
07:27But what I can say about that couple is how amazing they are at co-parenting
07:33and being friends.
07:35It's astonishing.
07:37It's I mean, it really is.
07:38It's been for me to watch it going through all the things that I'm going through.
07:43I'm like, OK, if they can do that, I can do what I'm going through.
07:47Oh, I know I do.
07:49I do love watching them and like the family.
07:50It's like the family unit just in a different way.
07:53And speaking of Beverly Hills, do you have thoughts on Amanda?
07:57Because the newbie this season has been making people very confused.
08:01And I'm entertained.
08:02But I don't know if all the ladies that you know are entertained by her.
08:06Well, all I can say is watching it back as a viewer.
08:12I don't need to hear so much about like if somebody needs to grab their chapstick,
08:16say I'm going to grab my chapstick.

08:22Like to me, that is a lot.
08:25And also when she said that about her husband, when she's like,
08:28I make more in a month than he does the entire year.
08:32I'm like, I don't know if she's unaware or she's bragging.

09:12Oh, I love her.

09:18I mean, the fact that I think, was it last week that we saw that she filed for divorce?

09:23Um, just she's really open about everything and she feels authentic to who she is.
09:30I think that's the biggest thing.
09:32If you're watching a housewife and they feel authentic, most of the time you like them.
09:35And I think that's the problem with Amanda.
09:37Maybe Amanda doesn't 100% know who she is yet.
09:41Or maybe she's feeling a certain way because the other women all seem to get along and are
09:47in a different stage of their life.
09:48I know.
09:49Yeah, I feel she is kind of trying to connect with them.
09:52I feel, in my opinion, I think she walked in being like, okay, all these ladies are fancy.
09:56I'm going to show off my fancy stuff.
09:57And they're kind of like, they're no one.
