00:00because i think the dodgers are phenomenal for baseball and i will argue that forever and there
00:05are other teams that are big market teams that can spend maybe they don't spend there are teams
00:10at the bottom to me those are the teams that i find to be awful for baseball deplorable for
00:15baseball not the dodgers not the teams that spend the teams at the bottom well i think that
00:22the fact that they elicit those feelings are actually a sign that they're good for baseball
00:27right i mean because the people in la sure like you right they're obviously going to love the
00:31dodgers they're going to love the fact that the team wins but you what you want is for them to
00:35be hated everywhere else i mean you don't want the dodgers to be liked everywhere right you want
00:39you want mets fans to hate the dodgers you want padres fans to hate the dodgers you want it so
00:44that you know when the dodgers visit your city wherever you happen to be living uh right that
00:49you're going to boo them or whatever you know you might sure you might cheer for otani or a
00:53betts if one of those guys happens to be your favorite players but i think what you want is for
00:57there to right you want them to elicit passion because what we don't want is for baseball to
01:03kind of go back to where you know a few years ago when there was that rangers diamondbacks world series
01:08like that was a total who cares burger right i mean you do not that is not what you want
01:14and so again
01:14just the fact that whatever any kind of reaction i think is a great reaction and you know and again
01:20in
01:20baseball let's be honest right it's falling behind football basketball right now in terms of cultural
01:24relevancy i would argue the dodgers are going to kind of help contribute to bring baseball back there
